she can be snotty, but you def learn alot. shes worth it

She thinks she's funny and can be sarcastic but she's a nice lady, esp. if you have good attendance. Easy class & she is VERY helpful if you ask.

Tons of homework, but if you do it you will do great in the class. She gives detailed notes, jokes around in class, and will help you if she knows you are trying. Out of all the classes I have taken so far, I have learned the most in hers'.

She is really really nice, and extremely helpful if you're bad at math (like me). She loves good attendence and participation. Deffinately a good teacher!

she scares you at first, but she is one of the best professors ever. if you just take notes and pay attention you can get an A. explains everything, tells u exactly what will be on the tests.

I learned so much in this class, she is a great math teacher, gives great notes and is very clear. She is an awesome teacher i would take a class from her again. This class is A LOT of work though, then again...it is statistics!

I learned so much about teaching from her. Videotaping and critiquing our lessons was difficult, but I got a lot out of it.

Stop ****ing,she is a good teacher. She tries very hard for her students and if you don't get a good grade in her class its your own fault. She lays out everything that is going to be on her tests and quizzes and gives extensive homework sheets. Very Fair

These people are crazy. Vertullo is extremely nice and extremely helpful. If you do the detailed homeworks class is easy. She keeps class interesting by letting you talk in groups all the time. She is a clear grader and explains exactly what will be on tests. Easy class, I recommend it.

I love this teacher! She explains everything clearly. This class goes by the fastest for me. She tells you exactly whats going to be on the test and allows you to work in groups. She even shows ma gic tricks involving math. She makes class fun

You're in college to learn so stop complaining. Vertullo is a very thoughtful professor. She explains everything thoroughly and doesn't move on unless everybody understands the material. Collects HW occasionally. Helpful reviews before tests. Great lady!

Very nice lady, but she talks to her class like their 5 years old. She's very helpful and tests are easy.

She's nice and fair when it comes to grading. Heavy workload, many quizes, 3 tests and a final. Study and keep up with homework and u will do well.

She is awesome! The best math teacher I ever had. If you do the homeworks you will be prepared for everything. Quizzes help to bump up your grade. She's always there to help and explains well. I definitely recommend her, if you get a 95 in the class, you dont have to take the final.

she is scaracastic woman and makes fun of her students occasionally. she is very helpful and always gives her hours. she gives a lot of hw that she does not check but it's in your best intrest to do it. 3 tests and a final and the final can be used to replace your lowest test grade.she gives a lot of notes which is good and does not use powerpoint.

Maybe I had an undiscovered gift for stats (highly doubtful!), but she made it really easy. Extremely clear in her notes, tells corny stats jokes when class is lame. If you have a 96 avg. you don't have to take the final. Lets you use a formula sheet for everything. Easy class

Great class, exempt from final if average is over 96. Lots of notes and hw sheets, but easy tests if you do the hw. Somewhat strict professor but great teacher.

When i saw this page, i was seriously afraid to go into her class because everyone said she was horrible. But seriously. she's one of the better professors I had at Marist College. She's really helpful and she really wants you to learn. Just pay attention, take notes, do your homework, and youre guaranteed a LEAST a B. Grow up people: Its COLLEGE!

When i read this page, i was afraid to take her but i took her anyway and im glad i did. shes really nice and wants to help you. offers exemption from the final but its pretty tough to get. alot of homework but who doesnt get that in college. has these funny little jokes and shes really nice. if u do ur work you should be able to get a B minimum.

She's pretty cool and very clear with her teaching methods. I missed a few weeks of school sick and she helped me get up to speed when I came back. The material is hard but she's worth taking.

Professor Vertullo has a very dry personality. She comes off as cranky pretty frequently, but she knows this. She offers lots of resources to help her students, and the over all structure of the class is beneficial to the students actual comprehension of the topics. 2 tests, 4 quizzes. Do the homework. Can be exempt from final.

Professor Vertullo certainly knows what she's doing, but at the same time she's not very enthusiastic and the class is pretty boring. She will make every effort however to ensure you get the material. Ask questions if you need to! She grades very fairly, drops 2 quizzes and will exempt you from the final if you have an A or average on tests.

Very sweet woman, very good teacher, explains everything until everyone understands, reviews material frequently, lots of group work, lots of quizzes and a few tests. Long hw assignments from textbook but she doesn't check them. There are a few hand ins but she'll let you know what they are. I recommend. No need to buy solution manual.

Best math class I've ever had and I suck at math. It wasn't necessarily easy and it was a lot of work, but if you pay attention and do the work you will understand it. Homework doesn't get checked but I would do it because it helped me understand. She's really funny too and I loved her. Great class.

I wouldn't recommend her she isn't bad and the class is very easy, but if you want to get full credit on your tests when you understand the problems and get the right answer this prof not for you. She takes off a lot of points for stupid reasons and it is annoyingI had a better average in harder math classes when I understood less of the material.

I think that the class was fair-not easy, not hard. Takes off stupid points on tests, but she teaches the material very well so it is not hard to understand. I'd try to find an easier teacher, but she's not horrible.

Professor Vertullo explained everything clearly. This class had a rather slow pace, which is different than most math classes. Some stuff we learned was very practical. She has a unique sense of humor. If you do your work like you're supposed to, she will like you.

Very dry but straightforward class. If you do your homework and study for the quizzes and tests you will do fine. Although she means well, sometimes she has a patronizing way of answering your questions.

I usually struggle with math, but did very well in this class. Prof. Vertullo writes out all her notes during class and gives helpful examples. DO THE HOMEWORK!!! Test/quiz problems almost identical to them. Get the solutions manual too, helped me a lot (she recommends it too). Vertullo is kind of dry/abrasive, but teaches well. I recommend her.

Prof. Vertullo is a very hard professor while also being very good at teaching her students the Statistics material. She is dry, sarcastic and gets angry when a student asks a bad question. DO THE HW! She will make you ask questions in class. 8 quizzes, 3 tests and 1 final per semester. Quizzes and tests are extremely hard so study!

She is hands-down, the best math teacher I have ever had. It seems to me that the other ratings on here are low because she runs a tight ship and the class is not easy, but as a student who is very hard-working and actually WANTS to learn things, I think she is BRILLIANT at what she does. Take her ESPECIALLY if you struggle with math.

Although she has a dry sense of humor and can come off as being annoyed with everything, she goes through each lesson very clearly and gives lots of practice. She explains clearly all of the topics and emphasizes what she will be quizzing/testing you on. Practice questions are almost identical to quiz/test questions. Very good professor.

Chris Vertullo is a really good teacher. She assigns homework but she doesn't check it and tells you that you don't have to do it if you don't want to. Also if you have a 96 average in the class, she lets you test out of the final with an A in the course. Would take her again

Professor Vertullo is one of those very rare professors. People on here make her out to be the devil - but she really cares about her students. I have never once been embarrassed by her in class. If you think her sarcasm is offensive then you need to grow up and take it with a grain of salt. She is a great teacher and you really learn. Take her.

I was surprised to see all the bad reviews on here. She assigns a lot of homework, but if you actually do ALL of it, you will be fine. Do every single question she assigns and actually put effort into the class. Her sense of humor is very dry but if you are engaged during class and, once again, do all of your work, you'll be fine. She wasn't hard.

I miss Chris Vertullo, she was one of my all time favorite professors. She was so funny and I loved every class. I'm sad that I'll never get to take her class again. Rest in Peace Chris, I know she's in a better place now and she will be missed.
