Christina, doesn't like to be called Christina, she's a control freak but in a nice way. Kinda dark in personality but then flips and is bright and energetic. Personally I think she's a psycho but I love her to end. Her class is hard and she expects a lot

Keeps class interesting and entertaining. Hands back papers way late, but other then that she is a great teacher

I though she was great, yeah she talked a about her personal life in class, but i still learned alot in the class overall. i would definately recomend her if you really want some one who will help you learn the subject and can keep the class interesting!!

Ms. Willis is fun, energetic, and is fairly easy. If you participate in class and are respectable to her you will not have a problem. 3 papers and a final-allows rewrites. Once business is done in class you will usually get out early. easy A and a great teacher!

Pretty easy teacher. I suck at writing and got a B. Class is short, and she lets you rewrite your papers after she grades it.

I think Ms. Willis is awesome. All these other naysayers need to get OUT! She is da bomb! At least she makes you laugh, people!

Did you other people take the same class? She was very flexible and understanding when i needed help or had a problem. She makes it easy to get an A if your willing to work just a bit for it. Last time i checked being called by your last name was respectful. Highly recommend her!

Tough class, but she's fair. Really tries to help, but is easily angered. If you pay attention and do the readings you will do well. Participate or risk your grade! Follow her rules and proof-read like crazy and you CAN make an A. Class requires a lot of research in library.

Class was fun,shes human,dont let her mood get to u.She made us laugh,we made her laugh.Fun to talk w/ but serious when it comes to her papers.She doesnt ask for much,give her what she asks for do it right.BAM easy A,great teacher,made me laugh even when she was in a bad mood.

this class was fun, when it wasnt cancelled. almost always let us out early. she is a very witty teacher and always made class interesting. she is somewhat demanding on her papers but gives you plenty of second chances.

Whatever you do don't walk in late to her class. She has some major mood swings. She is very demanding on her papers though. On the positive side, her class discussions can be interesting, and she can be such a dork that it's funny. She'll be lenient with you on deadlines if her mood allows for it.

WOW...i cant believe some of the comments on here!! She was a cool teacher, id rather have someone kinda silly like her than another type of teacher. She was a bit hard on the grading, but always let you take it home and fix your mistakes. IF your willing to work a bit, TAKE HER CLASS!!

I thought she was great. Yeah she is really harsh on her grading, but you do get to redo it, so its not that bad. Id take her again, easy A if your willing to do corrections. Kinda moody and messy, but still a great teacher. Made me laugh alot in class too.

Ms. Willis is a good teacher, but you have to earn your grade. She will not compromise. The reason why she has neg. marks on here is because many students take her class are freshman who think they're still in high school & think they can negotiate a grade w/o putting out any effort into their work.

She is not a bad teacher but you got to ready for some punches during her moody period. She seems funny and try to make her class lively. She get upset easily when students failed to participate or do not study her homework/assignment. In short, make sure you check your webct frequently because that is her only means of communication.

Funny and nice for the most part. She was moody sometimes, but for obviously good reasons (students missing work, no participation...) So if your willing to work just a bit, then her class is a good one to take. I would recomend her to everyone acctualy wanting to learn.

shes very clear about what she wants from you. so make sure to pay attention to the details and youll be fine. shes cool and more than willing to help if you need it.

I really liked Ms.Willis at first, but there are some major problems with the way she treats students. She's very moody and is really rude. If you do all your work, come to class every day, and don't piss her off.. then class is fine, but honestly she gets upset easily over really strange things. I did not enjoy her class at all.

Overall I thought she was great. She expects everyone to do thier work and participate, but nothing out of the ordinary. Not the best professor ive had, but far from the worse. Id definately take her class again. At least it wasent a complete bore and had its funny moments.

Tough but fair. Will work with you if you pay attention and work hard. NO monkey business in her class! Interesting sense of humor. DO NOT make her angry! DO NOT turn in papers late if you hope to make a decent grade! READ EVERYTHING SHE ASSIGNS, CAREFULLY!

Honestly she seemed like a **** in the beginning but after I think the first paper she started to lighten up. I liked her alot. She is stern but it works for her. She is actually kinda funny in a quirky way. I was able to express myself in my papers which I was greatful for. Just a heads up: she is an extreme feminist.

I think she was kinda odd, but she was pretty kool, we knocked off alot in class, and she doesn't mind expressing how she feels (epsecially about CAP students) I passed her class with a B though I didn't turn in a few papers, and missed almost 2 weeks in a row, be prepared to give a really GOOD sincere (or at least it has to sound like it) excuse though. I recommend her cuz, at least she doesn't make you fall asleep, just looking at her makes you laugh.

I don't know why all the complaining about being a hard grader. thats her job, right? I thought we were supposed to learn in college. if you want an easy grade, quit waisting mommy's money and go to SAC. Ms. Willis was hard, but she was fair, and I'm thankful fro that.

She's not really a hard grader she just expects you to follow the many rules she gives you for writing. She has an odd sense of humor which makes class fun. She's really nice if you come to class, do your work, and contribute to the discussions. She doesn't take crap from anyone....

I won't deny that her class is hard, but if you learn what she tries to teach you, you will be a better writer. Don't take this class for an easy A, take it if you want to learn how to write. And if you're nice to her, she's nice back.

personally, i think she's awesome. she's a little tough the first few weeks, but i think its because she wants you to know who's boss, and she wants you to try hard on your papers. now, she's cool with us and she cracks jokes and asks us about music and movies. its not an easy a, but if you try hard enough, you'll get a good grade.

Ms. Willis is very helpful and she will help you in any way so that you can progress. Eventhough she is hard you will learn how to write in a good presentable way

Disregard most of these comments from others. Ms. Willis is one humorous lady and very sarcastic, you just have to understand where she's coming from. She does give out a lot of work, so if you're a slacker and don't like to go to school...don't bother taking this class. Ms. Willis does grade critically but she wants to better your writing skills.

Ms. Willis for starters is a well informed person. As far as teaching, she is inconsistent with her grading but your writing will improve. I would suggest this class for those who genuinely would like to improve their writing but as far as taking this class for core curriculum satisfaction... reconsider.

Ms. Willis is one of the best english professors that I have taken. To all of those people who say that she is not a nice person and that her class is hard, THEY ARE WRONG!!! they are just lazy people who want to obtain an easy grade. I extremely recommend her, she helps you a lot with your papers and become a better writer :)

Personally guys Ms. Willis is one of the best writing professors there is in UTSA. Do not listen to some of these guys because they just want an easy grade handed to them and seriously I rather work hard for my grade and let me tell you I received an A in the both writing composition classes that she taught.I recommend her for both WRC classes.

Ms. Willis is the best professor I have ever had! Her class is funny and entertaining! She is very upbeat and helpful. She gave me so much confidence in my writing and my writing improved increadibly with her help. I took both writing classes with her and enjoyed both of them. If you want to take a writing class and enjoy it take her for sure.

Ms. Willis is, without a doubt, the most difficult teacher I have ever encountered.BUT she is also one of the best. Her methods require strict adherence to guidelines that she makes very clear and people that say she is so terrible are just too lazy or too high to want to put forth the effort. It will be difficult but you will not regret taking her

I worked crazy hard in this class and did "A" work and ended up with a "B" anyway in her class. It's like she grades papers starting from an "F" and goes up from there depending on what she feels like that day. Very moody, arrogant and rude. You will learn alot, but I assure you that you will be miserable while doing it. DONT TAKE HER CLASS!

She is a very intelligent and witty person, and one of the most helpful professors I have ever taken. She is very understanding of external factors regarding forgetting papers/assignments, and will honestly help you if you just speak with her. The things you learn from her go beyond core requirements and will help you later in both life and school.

DO NOT BE MISGUIDED BY ALL THE BAD COMMENTS! Ms Willis is one of the best teachers at UTSA. First days she is very intimidating with the students about how hard the class is. But seriously its just about making the time and effort in writing the papers. She is very sarcastic though, but I always found her sarcasm really funny. You will learn a lot!

She is a very hard teacher, you will learn from here. but... she is anal and ****y about everything. It is very hard to make above a C on a paper. only 4 essays and 4 short essays.

i took her class in the summer- we did 4 essays& good discussions. she's a prof. that is serious about education and if you come off not wanting to learn it will feel like your an idiot in class, but if you want to learn she'll be the best prof. you'll have. i didn't know how to write a paper until her class and i got a B in it :)

The first day is not for the weak-hearted. She is very direct and has high expections. Her assignments are somewhat intresting. You will need to ensure that you use good vocabulary and follow MLA format precisly. I recieved a B and feel that is the grade I deserved. Of course I would have liked an A. However she is fair, but strict.

TOUGH AND INCONSIDERATE

she is a hard grader and a little tough but she is funny and sarcastic so if you can joke around with her and not be rude then you'll definitely stay on her good side.
