She is good about turning things in late, but she gives way too much work, long programs, picky about grades, and really monotone. Hard to stay awake. She is a very nice though, explain alot, just TOO MUCH WORK.

She knows her stuff and expects you to know yours if you're in 25C. Very fair teacher, does not live up to bad reputation, I don't know how she got it because I've found her to be very good. Probably from some pissy computer science majors.

She is a very boring powerpoint professor. One on one she is helpful and explains well, but she is very picky about coding style, although as long as you know what she talked about in class you'll do fine on the tests (A-ish).

She grades homework and tests very quickly (within 2 days) and the questions aren't too hard/tricky. She's very lenient on late work too. No curve. She'll replace your lowest test grade with your final exam score (out of a 100). Allows notes on the final.

Homework every week, just ask questions on things you don't know and she will explain it. Tests are a little hard, but it's 25C so that's expected. Overall good teacher, but a hard class. Do your work and you should be fine.

We don't use computers in lecture, only in lab. Lab programs were long, get C++ on your home computer so you can start labs early. Grades consisted of homeworks, labs, 2 mid-terms and 1 final. Allows late work. Keep up with the reading and ask questions.

her discrete math class was small and fun. I liked the material. hard and exacting grader, but if you doi all the work it should be no problem.

Very helpful, actually cares if you do well, can always go to for help, relevant HW with extra problems id you need more practice, fair tests, and friendly.

Great teacher/class. Keep up on reading and you'll be fine. Will answer your questions. A bit picky on grading labs, but not a real prob. Tests aren't easy, but not unbearable. Just do the HW and reading. 1st 10 labs not bad. Last 6 a bit more diff. Start labs early. Highly recommendthis class.

Explains everything! You pay attention and you'll do wonderful!

Yes she is picky syntax and format and technicality, but for all you CS majors, so are computers! As for the Math31 you will have to work at it because it's tedious and the concepts are new. If you scan through the book befor class her step by step examples are easy to follow. She does go kind of fast but will slow down and clarify if you ask.

Nice Teacher. Explains things very well, gets annoyed when you come in late but all you have to do is listen and youll do good in this class...easy...not alot of homework assignments and 6 tests not including the final. Dont miss alot of class though

Good teacher, mostly. Class is a little dumb, but helpful in labs and very good e-mail (though no weekends or evenings). As with pretty much every Comp Sci teacher, wants the programs coded in her way, wich means if you have a strong background in Comp Sci from High School, you might have trouble adapting. Test are a bit hard, but fair.

This was the easiest teacher i have ever had! She made me actuallu understand Math! Just come to class and pay attention and you'll do great!

Calculus is required for my major even though I have little interest in the stuff. Despite having a class at 7 in the morning (adding to the difficulty of the subject) this was one of the most clearly taught classes I have taken. Aguilera is happy to help and always cheerful. Take her if math is not your thing :-) DO THE EXAMPLES SHE HANDS-OUT

She is a nice teacher although she doesn't always explain things clearly. She expects you to know everything. You do get homework and the tests are very difficult.

She is a very hard teacher but a very good teacher as well. You must study everyday for this class. If you are planning on transfering to UCLA or any other good college, take this class as a prep for it. And yes she does wear very tight jeans

She does her best to help you understand the material. Her class was tough but I studied and got through it OK. I would take her again knowing what to expect from her.

she wasnt as bad as people say she was. i liked that on the worksheets she handed out (which was our only hw)that if you got something wrong she didnt just mark it wrong she corrected it and showed you the right way so that was very helpful. i have to say she is wierd but who cares get over it.

for me, she is great, i have her for math 25B and C. she is really helpful and always in her office hours for office hrs. she really wants you to learn something. she will replace your lowest test with your test average. It not a easy class tho, Calc C is not easy any way. But I will take her for CS or other math classes for sure.

she is NOT as bad as everyone makes her to be. she is extremely helpful and her tests are rather easy. 25C is a hard class itself but its not hell to get through. her lectures kinda got long and boring but eh, its college. it happens all the time. i wouldnt mind taking her again.

The best instructor I have ever had.

She is somewhat awkward, but very nice all the time, even if someone tries to piss her off. The tests are fairly easy, and she is an easy grader as well. I would definitely like to take her again.

Prof. Aguilera is a great teacher. She gives time to answer questions and does not collect homework (although I highly rec. you do it). She is very accomodating to conflicts with tests. The tests are very straightforward, and she will replace your lowest score with your average. If you pay attention in class there is little need to do the homework. I got away without opening the book once. She is slightly picky with her grading, so show all your work.

She's possibly the nicest and most helpful teacher I've ever had. She explains everything very clearly and never has a boastful attitude because of her mastery over what she teaches. The balances challenge with ease of getting a good grade. Definitely take her if you want to learn a lot as well as get a good grade.

Professor Aguilera is the best teacher i have had here at Moorpark. She is very helpful and willing to teach u the subject. Come to class and listen and take very good notes for a good grade. GREAT TEACHER!

TAKE HER! You dont need the book at all just buy Mymathlab. she helps you anyway she can but you have to go to class. if you miss one thing you will fall behind. she gives some extra credit and gives you TONS of partial credit on test. she is a very easy grader on tests which is basically your whole grade.

If you want to be taught the material, Aguilera's lectures are extremely clear.She's also a little lenient on project deadlines. Only con is that the tests can be hard to finish in the given time period. Not too hard to get an A if you do bad on tests but well on everything else.

Very reasonable. Fast clear lectures. It helps to briefly read through the chapter before the lecture. I think she is more generous with partial credit on tests to those who make a solid effort every week with the graded homework. She has a true math/CS personality so the best way to communicate with her is to be polite, efficient, and logical.

This teacher teaches very well. I took the Summer Calculus 3 class she teaches and the overall class was very well structured and her lectures were very clear. The class was fast-paced, but it was bearable. She is very receptive to students asking questions and uses class time to help answer them. She is very fair with the grading system.

Difficult class if you didnt take highschool calc. STRICT GRADER. If you get an answer right but left out a paranthesis in your work she marks the whole answer wrong so show all your work. Nice and pretty helpful but lectures get boring and confusing.

Strict grader, very knowledgeable, uses D2L a lot which is helpful, since you can keep up to date on your grade. Programming assignments are manageable, but very specific, and she scours your code for inefficiencies reads everything. Not a comp sci person myself, but it was a good class nonetheless.

She is so nice. Very organized.We had a bunch of sample problem during semester that were so useful for final too. Every thing were so clear.She explains things well, believe me because English is my second language and I didn't have any problem with her lectures .I like to take her class for Mo25 B.

Professor Aguilera is a great teacher when it comes to Calculus. She goes through each and every step and gives examples of each derivation of every problem to make sure that her students understand exactly what to expect on the tests. She gives quizes and some extra credit opportunities. This class is hard but a passing grade is very do-able.

Math teacher who teaches proficiently. Very clear with instructions,does problems relevant to the course book and makes up problems. Makes good use of white board, informs the student exactly what is expected to achieve success. Very sweet woman & will answer all questions. Detailed in course subject, that’s what makes her great!
