She goes over quite a bit of readings but you can get away with not reading most of them. She is very nice and makes you feel important. She actually cares about your opinion and would bend over backwards for her students. Nobody's half as good as her.

This lady is super nice...she is always smiling..and always happy even at 830 in the morning. She is always willing to help..Just go to class and read the info and you will get an A.

Fairly easy class. There is a lot of work, but non of it is hard. Her class is very good and well worth taking. Do not take if you do not want to read or attend class becuase that will not work. Ask to use notes on her exams and she may let you.

She is one of the best professors I have had. This class has alot of work to do-and her grading can be a bit tough-but she is very fair. I definitly recommend taking her!

She makes class interesting with having discussions about topics that involve lib education. This class is kind of dumb though because all you read and learn about is what a liberal education is and how you obtain it. So, I would recommend another class.

Has very liberal views, so if you are a conservative keep your mouth shut. She's nice, but needs to do something with the hair.

DON'T procrastinate on the papers. she will correct them for you before the due date which helps a lot. DO the reading or you won't do so well.

she loves religion and football... not exactly in that order, which are two things that I hate so I didn't think I would like her. But I did. She's great.

The class can be boring but its very easy and she is a fun teacher. Make sure you read though or else you cant do very well.

omg, prof. d. is an AWESOME prof! she makes you actually think about things instead of just feeding them to you in the form of the banking concept (take the class, youll know what i mean). very sweet, hilarious person with a great attitude and outlook on life. take her for a new view on life!

The class will be easy if you do all the readings and take advantage of the extra credit. She's very fair in grading and is willing to help you out with anything. I would take her if you want an easy A.

The class just seems to have the same information over and over again. Almost anyone could teach that class, but Drewel is a really fun lady who makes it bearable to have to sit through. Takes attendance, and there is online quizzes, but definately awesome professor.

Chris is a nice lady and is very interested in her students' thoughts on the class material. There is a lot of work, but if you attend class and do the reading and assignments you will be fine.

My favorite prof in my 6 years at GVSU. Chris was so nice and even though it was an 8am spring class she kept us awake and interested. Her assignments were fair and the books were good, and she was always more than helpful. The projects were cool too because she got us informed on some issues that aren't talked about much. Christine Drewel is the best teacher I have had in my college career (4 years!) and I am going into Music! She is so good at what she does! Take her. Very helpful, and clear. Show up for class, read, and you will do well.

A very refreshing class and professor

CD was an awesome Prof! I'm very thankful that I had her instead of any of the other Lib 100 professors! Everything was very straight forward.. you knew everything and she very often gave hints about the quizes and exams. There were no surprises in this class... she's a good lady!

Chris was a great teacher. She made the class easy and fun. I enjoyed coming in. The work is easy, but necessary to do to get a good grade.

Good prof, easy class. Had to read 5 books which I was not used to, however most of them were easy reads. 2 papers and 2 exams plus a group presentation. Not too much work. Just had to take online quizes over the readings. Not too hard of a class, and a very good prof.

Best professor I've had so far! Chris is a wonderful teacher. She is smart, funny, and gets along well with all the students. She was never in a bad mood and I always enjoyed being in her class. Class is moderately difficult, with readings, a paper, and co-curriculars to attend. If you take LIB 100, take professor Drewel!! :)

Great teacher! You are very lucky is you get Drewel for your class. However, an A is something you have to work for. She is very willing to help you if you have a problem. Very approachable.

Christine is a WONDERFUL professor. I just took her class this summer. The pace of the class is really fast in the summer, but she is very understanding and flexible. She also is very approachable and helpful when you need it. She has an awesome sense of humor and a pretty lady as well.

Chris is a wonderful professor with so much energy. The best people to work with are those who are enthusiastic about what they do, and you would be hard put to find a person more enthusiastic about their career than Chris is about teaching. Highly recommended.

8 years later and I still remember her class. It was one of those, "Huh, I never thought of it that way" eye opening classes. I still am thankful I had her for this class all this time later.

CHris was definitely the best teacher I have ever had. She made the class into something we could teach ourselves with only her guidance, and she gives so much more perspective into life, not just the course.I learned so much about myself. She's amazing, and the class is too. Don't let the work scare you, it's not that bad and worth it!!

Overall I was pleased. One thing that future students should look for is her grading scale. I realized at the very end of the semester that the grading scale did not make sense.You will learn a lot from the class, though! Online quizzes are pretty much everything so do your best. She takes off points on nonsense stuff. Good Luck!

Amazing teacher. You get out what you put into the class. She has so much passion for her job; it makes the class a joy to go to. Discussions are surprisingly interesting and engaging. She makes you open your eyes to a lot of tough questions. Don't let all the work build up though!

I absolutely loved this professor. I had her for an 8 am class and she made me want to come! I learned so much from this lady definitely take her for any liberal studies course. You have to read 5 books but they are interesting and not bad at all. Online quizzes throughout. Two essays but she grades pretty easy and fair. Loved loved loved her!

A lot of work, but not impossible, I received an A in a 6 week course. Put forth the effort, Drewel is connected, engaging, and available every step of the way. I'm 43, with dyslexia and ADHD. If I can do this, you can too. Drewel, and the essays, Jumping Mouse and Allegory of the Cave changed my life forever. She is lovely, I will take her again.

One of the best classes and profs I have had. A lot of work but if you apply yourself your guaranteed a good grade. I actually view life a different way after this class and taking what she has to offer. Classes are interesting and the final is nothing to worry about! TAKE HER!

BEST PROFESSOR AT GVSU! Such an inspiring class. Lectures are important because we go over what we read about & she explains the readings. I WOULD DEF TAKE HER AGAIN! Weekly online quizzes, easy to pass if you do the readings. Midterm was graded easy, she expresses that she hates the grading system at GV. One group project & one solo project.

I took this class online. It was an easy A but there was a ton of busy work. I think I wrote more for this non-SWS class than I did for my SWS ones. She was helpful and very involved in the class and a decently easy grader. Overall it was a good experience but it was definitely more demanding than I expected for a 100 level course.

Professor Drewel is a great prof! I took LIB 100 with her online and she was always willing to help her students, and she truly wanted everyone to succeed in her course. There was a lot of busy work throughout the semester, but she is overall a fairly easy grader on papers and projects. I would definitely take another class with her again!

She is so so helpful! I had her for an online class and even though the syllabus was very easy to follow, she sent almost weekly reminders to let us know what was due. She is VERY flexible with what we can use for co-curriculars and VERY flexible with due dates if there are any conflicts. Best case scenario for a first time online class taker!!

I took this class online over the summer and it was a tough class, lots of reading and short answer questions. also lots of group work.. yes.. even though its an ONLINE class lol. If you do all the required readings you should be fine :)
