She's really smart, but does not teach well. I didn't know what she was talking about half the time, even when I took this class already in high school. If you can figure out what's going on, the class is easy.

If you know your stuff and go to class, this class will be SO easy....but if you struggle with Math, she may not be the best choice...She isnt too good at explaining things.

One of the best (and easiest) math classes I had since high school! Nice reminder that math can be normal before you go on to Abstract Algebra and Real Analysis.
Boring, boring, & boring. she does not know how to explain stuff & uses bad textbooks!
she's a good teacher. there's a quiz every week and a programming assignment due every week. quizzes are worth 40% of your grade. homework can prove to be very time consuming and the lab can be a toughy too. good class but be prepared for lots of work.
Why does this suck is it the course or the professor
I had her for comp 271 and math 264. She's great! She gives alot of quizzes so you know your stuff for exam time. She gives alot of homework so you learn! I think she is good at explaining things and lays stuff out on the line.
Lots of hmwk grades. Lots of class-work grades. About 4 or 5 tests. Tests are bulk of grade. If you know math well, then take her challenging class. Otherwise you will be confused. Helps alot during her office hours. Recommended.
Lots of work, but manageable. Professor is very organized and helpful. Strongly recommended.
Programming intensive. Lots of programming, but nothing too intense. Pay attention in class and ask questions and you will do fine. Learn to use the Java book for reference. Great and easy Professor if you know your stuff.
Nice lady, AWFUL professor. Doesn't explain anything, at least not in a clear, coherent manner that makes it understandable. Don't take her if you have the slightest bit of trouble with math bc her lectures are worthless.
She is nice and easy. An A is not hard to get. Keys:GO TO CLASS!! 20% of grade is hw, 10% grpwrk. She goes over enough hmwrk in class to get full credit w/o doing any extra. There's 30% for showing up! Tests are DIRECT reflections of study guides. Don't study hmwrk for tests, trust the guide. Ciao!
most of ur grade is based on a few tests all of which are really difficult. Hard class, doesn't explain nething well, most of the time, we were all really confused. unless you want to start living at the math tutoring center, don't take her!
So hard!! U have to go to every class b/c attendance counts, and u have group work which u are graded for. it doesnt really help your grade but it Will hurt u. not that going to class helps b/c she is goes so fast and explains nothing. also u have tons of homework due every week. i wouldnt take her
Ok, I've taken her like 4 times, true she goes fast, true she's intense. But it's also true that she explains the material very well (if you actually pay attention), and is extremely helpful outside of class. If you don't like her, chances are you're a slacker. She's truely nice!
Worst math teacher ever, you basically have to teach youself because she can't explain anything.
I took DiffEque's from her and it turned out to be great! She actually allows a "Helper sheet" on the Final Exam, which not only allows one to get organized but also ease the tension. She is very straight to the point type and has flexible office hours. The grade is composite of HW, tests, projects.
Huh. Thats how I felt when I left each day. I like to think I am not stupid, hence, didn't like the class. I like her grading, but her teaching style does not get anything across, maybe its just me. Cozy-up to the book, tests aren't bad, very nice and helpful. Thank god this is the last one for me.
I felt Dr. Haught was a very fair teacher, but in Statistics she goes through examples very quickly. Must spend time studying the book to master the material. Grading is very fair, and work-load not too much. Midterm and final are much harder than homework and quizzes. Would take again.
I THINK DR. HAUGHT IS A GOOD MATH TEACHER AND KNOWS HER STUFF. I JUST DID NOT LIKE HOW SHE USED TO RUSH EVERYTIME TO LAY THE FOUNDATION OF A NEW TOPIC. SHE WOULD GO SO FAST AT THE START AND WOULD HAVE TO FACE THE MANY QUESTIONS FROM THE MASSIVELY-CONFUSED STUDENTS. SHE SOMEHOW OFFERED PLENTIFUL OF
Dr. Haught is "The Best" math teacher I have ever had. She made me love calculus (a subject I had always dreaded to take and had saved for the end!)..I am soo expecting an A in it...very limited h.w....test are pretty easy..do the pre-test papers, they really help. Loved this class!
Summer math131 is a six week course so the pace is quick. There was a good mix of in class lecture and practice; graded homework each class, three tests and a final. She adjusted her office hours for us and was very accessible as well as willing to walk you though the problems. If you did't get it you could ask and get help, if you didn’t then…
Dr. Haught is the nicest professor I have encountered at Loyola...she will do everything in her power to help you through class. Great professor. Highly recommended.
She is really hard and goes fast like a train
Dr. Haught is such a nice teacher in and out of the classroom. She moves pretty quickly in lectures, but is always willing to help. If you do not get the grade you want in her class, it is because you did not go see her in office hours and put forth some effort when you were struggling.. She is a very reasonable woman.
teaches through examples. does not explain too much. reasonable class
Dr. Haught is a very smart woman, flies thru her lecture but very patient when you ask questions. Always available outside of class for additional help and Not intimidating at all to talk to. Totally recommend her. Gives a lot of examples in class, and extra credits for participation. Quizzes are easy, but tests can be hard. Final is accum.
Best math teacher at loyola...!! I'm taking her again for calc 2
CLASS IS REASONABLE. She gives tests that are pretty much out of the book but there is a quiz every week. She FLIES through material so if you're not gona do your hw, then don't bother with her.
Best math teacher ive ever had. Extremely helpfull durin office hours. Quizes are straight from what she taught in class and she gives out previous tests to prepare you for the upcoming test
I dont Go to loyola, i am just a visiting student, but if i did go here, i would try and have dr haught for every math class i had to take. way more then fair on exams, quizes, and takes alot of time out of her day to help students. if you dont get it, she will help you. if you do poorly, its most likely your own fault. HIGHLY RECOMMENED,GREAT PROF!
Highly recommend Dr. Haught... she is the best math teacher i've ever had as she is very reasonable in her expectations and grading scheme. If you do poorly in her class it is because you didn't visit her during office hours and did not put forth any effort. Take her!!!
She flies through her material. If you are a fast learner than go for it. If you are like me, and need time to actually comprehend what is being taught she is not your teacher.
super nice, and very helpful!! hw is due online every week, but if you dont get a prob, just email her, she'll give you the answer! class gets really boring, she is kind of dull.. but soo nice, and amazing help when needed! quizes are super easy,s he goes over the material ont he quiz the day of, and tests are pretty much the same type of probs
sooo boring! but she knows her stuff. she is very smart and you learn in that class. sometimes she tends to teach with her phD mentality and it's kinda like, "what?" lol, but she's cool....and such a sweetheart!
Dr. Haught is great! There are no surprises on the quizzes and tests and she always gives plenty of examples and practice tests/problems to work on. She's always willing to answer questions and is extremely helpful! I thought this class was pretty easy compared to my AP Calc class.
I LOVE HER!!!!!! She is so nice! Can go a little fast but overall you should take her! 3 tests and a final. homework due every week. Taking her next semester again!
One of the best math teachers I have ever had. The class is kind of boring because you basically take notes from start to finish. There are quizzes once a week, but they are easy and help you learn. Homework is easy too. There are three tests and a final, but it is basically a combination of the quizzes. And she is so nice!!!
A quality prof! Took her both semesters. If you can take notes for 30 mins straight, and spend 2hr/week on homework and studying, you're guaranteed an A. She goes over everything as long as it takes till the class understands it, and does not spring surprises on her tests; everyone is secure in what to expect. All in all, a wonderful prof.
GREAT PROFESSOR!! IF YOU LIKE LEARNING TAKE HER
i was deathly scared of taking calculus but this teacher made me like calculus alot! she is SUPER nice. she gives out i guess u can call them study guides for every test and quiz (quiz every week). hw counts for points, group work counts for points. will explain everything as many times as possible so u can understand. taking her again nxt semester
She is the sweetest teacher and will do w/e to help you understand. She gives practice exams that are almost the exact same format as you will see on the regular exam. Her quizzes are ONCE a week but EASY! No surprises and she makes calc def not intimidating! just goes a little too fast! Getting an A or B is def in reach!
She's a great teacher. Explains stuff really well, however her homework and lectures are a bit difficult... it might scare you but her quizes and tests are much easier than the homework. Homework every tuesday, quiz every thursday. Midterm, Final + Project. I say take her, she's good, you'll learn a lot.
She is an incredibly nice professor. Will give you a ton of opportunities if you mess up and is always very helpful. 3 exams, quiz every week and a final --> but all pretty easy. Also HW every week on webwork, but you only have to get half the problems right to receive credit. this is an incredibly easy class, I rarely studied and got an A.
Dr Haught is the nicest person ever! She is an extremely clear teacher, and give tons of examples! The thing I like about her most is that she is really encouraging! I'd take her again in a heart beat!!
BEST FREAKING TEACHER EVER..iv never had a good math teacher in my life and god blessed me with her..she is extremely helpful, she teaches so well that there really isnt a way you wont get something. She also has lots of practice exams which are very similiar to the one she makes u do and her quizes are also helpful towards the exam.
Quizzes weekly help you keep up to par on whats going on in the class, drops lowest 2. Calc is boring but she tries to make it enjoyable. All homework done online, really don't need the book or the solution manual.
Great teacher, very easy to understand. She explains the material very well. I suck at math but I was able to understand and learn Calc. Quizzes weekly, but they really help your grade, plus they are very simple. Tests are easy if you study the examples and practice problems.
She breaks calculus down so you can actually understand it. If you ask a question, she's very helpful and explains it differently so you can understand. I didn't buy the book and got a good grade, but it was helpful for other people in class. Attendance is not mandatory, but there's group work (for points) or a quiz every day.
Great teacher without a doubt. Just pay attention in class and you'll do really well. Best math teacher I've had in a long time.
One of the best professors I've had at Loyola. Attend class and pay attention and you should do very well. Her test are straight forward and exactly what you do in class.
i dont know what half these people are talking about. every class counts. weekly quizzes. doesnt post half the answers to the exams and worksheets she gives out. her exams are hard to understand and not straightforward. like 50% of the other professors are much easier and their exams are formatted better. i loved calculus until i had her. DONTAKEHE
She is a great teacher. Her notes and organized and she knows what she is going to cover and how to cover it in lecture. Her exams are very straight forward. It is a great class to take coming out of high school Calc because it is basically a review. Just keep up on the weekly quizzes though.
Excellent teacher. She teaches in a way that promotes understanding, not just memorization. Her tests aren't "easy" but she gives enough practice, groupwork, and in-class examples, that nothing on the test will be a surprise. She is extremely knowledgable and will explain things in many different ways. Take her class!
gives quizzes once a week, goes over the material without getting distracted. rather monotone but very friendly and willing to help. all the homework is online and graded for completion only. you get points for completing groupwork in class every week. The tests were hard, but quizzes are straightforward. I found her fair and would reccommend
I do not recommend this teacher. I only write on this website when I feel strongly about it. She goes really fast, and it is difficult to keep up with class notes. Quizzes and groupwork is really easy, but they do not help prepare for the tests, which are VERY hard. Got an A in 131, struggled to get a B 132. Take someone else.
Points for online hw and attendence, 1 quiz/week, 3 exams, 1 final. anything that will be on a quiz or exam will be on a worksheet prior to and explained. notecard allowed for exams, she is really nice, if you pay attention in class you wont ever touch ur book. to do well on quizes and tests you need to know material well or you will run out of time
Very nice lady, willing to explain things if they are still unclear however her tests are very hard and you need to work very fast if you wish to pass the test with a decent grade. Her lectures are somewhat straightforward and her quizzes are literally questions based on handouts. Not an easy course, you must study everything to maintain above a B-
Professor Haught is the best math teacher I have ever had. She is really nice, she explains everything very well, and if you have a question she will go out of her way to help you. Her class was tricky at some points but I'm just not good at math. If you are take her and you will be fine. Overall excellent professor
Very hard compared to math 131. The material is for sure more in depth than last semester.
The class consists of lectures, group work, and weekly quizzes. As long as you pay attention during lecture, she's great. Her quizzes are detailed so make sure you master the material. All tested material is very similar to the worksheets.
Prof. Haught is very organized, if you're able do the problems she goes over in class you'll do well. Practice the groupwork problems too! They're helpful for the exams. There's online homework, but you're allowed many tries and she just checks for completeness. Long, but manageable exams. Great professor very approachable and super nice!!!
Dr. Haught is fantastic. She might not be the easiest but I learned so much from her. So sweet and willing to help outside of class. She goes fast but I mean its college level calculus. She is CLEAR of what you need to know . I took her for both 131 and 132 and I would do it again
I was never good at Math but professor Haught helped me with every opportunity needed. I learned a lot from her and highly recommend her! She is very friendly and very nice. Test aren't too bad. If math is not your forte, take her!
Much harder for 132. She is a lot harder than most of the calc professors so more work is required. I would say she is worth taking for 131 cause you learn a lot. But 132 there are better professors. She teachers material that is off base from the course. But she's also the sweetest lady so if you have difficult she's willing to help
Tell students online version of the book is just as good when really you need the book to do so much more, totally sent me off on that. She does not explain the problems on the board very clearly and goes way tooo fast to even ask her 1 question. Worst of all teaches new material minutes before a quiz. If your a slow learner like me DONT TAKE HER
Haught seems to know her stuff. Weekly quizzes keep you on you toes and can sometimes be difficult. Tests not bad if you do the practice exams, homework is a joke...50% or higher gets you a 100 for the assignment. Overall not too hard, but for sure put work in and you'll get the grade.
Christine haught is the sweetest teacher I have ever had. She is extremely understanding about homework assignments (you only have to go 50% of them for full credit) and she has weekly quizzes to keep you prepared for the tests. There is also group work each week for in class participation. She gives out study guides for each exam also.
Professor Haught is amazing!! Super helpful, and if you put in the work you can definitely get an A. She provides you with the tools to succeed in her class like practice exams and study guides. Take her!!!!
Long boring lectures but really knew her material. Overall super easy class. If you needed help she was really sweet about it and helped as much as she could, but you had to ask. One quiz a week and lots of group work, but only 3 tests. I would take her again
Definitely one of the best and my most favorite professor at Loyola. She made learning calc easy.
After this class Dr. Haught became one of my favorite professors. She can be a little unclear in class at times, but if you keep up with the work and pay attention you'll do fine. If you go to her office hours she is VERY helpful. We used an online textbook with interactive activities which was also extremely beneficial for learning the material.
After dreading having to take Calc. Dr Haught made this class extremely easy and she was always very helpful. I've been convinced to even study math further after taking her class. Her classes aren't the most interesting but thats because math isn't exactly a fun topic, but she does her best and explains things clearly.
Dr. Haught is extremely nice. However, she assigns long homework assignments every week along with weekly quizzes on the online book. She assigns a big project at the end of the semester but barely lightens the homework load as the due date approaches. Has a long homework assignment due same week as project. Not always helpful in office hours.
Dr. Haught is incredibly nice and helpful. Her lesson plans are clear and understandable and she is one of my favorite professors at Loyola. There are quizzes each week and the homework may be long sometimes but it is really helpful. There is a project at the end of the semester but overall would take a class with this teacher again.
Dr. Haught made Calc extremely clear. She provides you with everything you need to get a good grade. My favorite professor at Loyola.
Professor Haught is such an amazing woman. While this was my first time ever doing coding, she helped me through the whole thing. Weekly homework assignments and quizzes plus a final. While the content was somewhat difficult, I went to office hours every week and she was more than willing to help. Go to office hours and you'll get an A.
I failed calc 131 first semester with Huffman. I got an A when I retook it with Haught. She is so clear and goes through example problems very well. She gives you study packets which are very similar to the tests. She really cares about her students' success. Just go to class because you get points for the group work and quizzes. TAKE HER!
Took her in the Summer since I dropped calc during the Spring Semester with another professor. She is 10000x better then the other guy. Very clear, very lenient grading scale (60% is a C-), and Tests were decent. I'm terrible at math (by far weakest subject) and I was able to pass with a C. If you're afraid of math then take her.
She's incredibly helpful and kind, but I wouldn't say she's the best lecturer. She's clear enough but she's a little difficult to understand if you're not a math major. Gives practice tests which are virtually the same as the actual exam. Her office hours are INVALUABLE, and her grading scale is very lenient.
Christine was the best math professor I've ever had! There is a quiz every week but they follow the group worksheets and the exams follow the quizzes, there weren't any surprises on the exams. However, the final was a little tough but she also curved all three exams. Would highly recommend!
Really good professor. Sometimes not quite clear. She glances over some stuff pretty quick. But overall she makes math easy. Nice woman. Recommend to pick her class.
Dr. Haught is one of the best math professors Loyola has to offer. She is extremely intelligent, kind, and very helpful (especially in office hours of which she was many and on different days so most students are able to attend). I genuinely don't think there is a professor who cares more about their students.
She's a great lecturer and really helpful during office hours. My only problem is the Mathematica Labs. There's 6 of them and they take about 10-14 hours each (if you do not have prior experience with Mathematica like I didn't). It's been absolutely miserable. I hated that my grade would go down if I didn't understand programming. It was awful.
So sweet! really knows her stuff. She only requires you to do 50% of each WebAssign assignment. Weekly quizzes but they are easy. Can use notecard on some tests and final exam. All tests and exams have extra credit opportunities. She is very quiet so if you want to pay attention sit up front.
The kindest, most caring professor I've ever had. She goes out of her way during class, office hourspointments to ensure a student is understanding and on-track with the material. She is an understanding grader (not easy but understand people make sign mistakes and so on). I took her for Cal131 this summer & loved her so much I had to retake.
The exams are pretty hard and they are rushed because she doesn't give you the whole class period to do them. You will have to go to class, pay attention and practice a lot because she likes application. I would not recommend her if you are not good at math and struggle with the subject since she only cares about the math majors in the class.
She gives a lot of homework and quizzes so expect to go to class and keep up. The exams are pretty hard and are rushed because She doesn't give you the whole class period to do them. You will have to go to class, pay attention and practice a lot because She likes application. I would not recommend her if you are not good at math. OVERRATED!
I have never taken calc before and Dr. Haught made it very understandable for me. There is one group project, but you get to pick your group. You get easy points just for showing up and doing groupwork, and only 50% of the homework needs to be done on webassign and you'll get a 2/2 for homework for that day. Helpful in office hours and super nice.
If you have taken Calc in the past, Haught's class is a good fit. The only downside is that she works at a pretty fast pace and it can be hard to follow her sometimes, but she is pretty much always available for students to see her. Class is mandatory because you get points for group work and you only have to do 50% of Webassigns.
Didnt prepare enough for the class but seemed like the usual... 10 15 20 yrs down the line I dont think Id be happy about taking her as an instructor.
She's a great professor. She sometimes rushes through the material but gives multiple step by step examples. You have to get a 50% on the homework for it to count as a 100% and as long as you do all the worksheets given in class its an easy A. There are quizzes every week but the lowest 2 are dropped. You get a note card for the last test and final
She acts super nice during class but she's actually the worst. She never explains things thoroughly. She never explains how to do homework and her quizzes are very difficult and she requires you to do groupwork. Don't even think about skipping because skipping one time will drop your grade sooooo much. 0/10 do not recommend.
I never took Calc in high school so I was taking this for the first time ever. Not going to lie, Dr. Haught speeds through the material and will often skip steps, leaving the class confused. I will say however that she is incredibly helpful during her office hours, and I made it a permanent part of my schedule. Devote a lot of time and you'll get A
If you took AP Calc in high school and got a 3 on the exam you'll be... a God. I didn't study for a single quiz or test and I'm going into the final with a 97% in the class.
Honestly shes not that bad but only people with really good memorization skills will do really well in the class. If your math skills are average then you probably will struggle. she goes through the material really fast and tests/quizzes usually dont reflect the level of difficulty that the material was taught at. Tests are always much harder.
Do not take her if you did not take Calculus in high school. There is an unnecessary amount of work for this class and Professor Haught is a very tough grader on top of everything. Quizzes and tests are nothing like the reviews and have nothing to do with the homework we were assigned.
Um, whoever let her have a 4.0 rating, what were you thinking? She goes so fast during lecture that no one ever knows how to do the problems themselves. She has a quiz every week on material you just learned the lecture before. Her exams and quizzes are so different from examples given. Do not take her.
She is a very helpful professor and very nice, but her grading is too tough and she does not give much partial credit. Her quizzes are never like the group work and she always makes them much more trickier than necessary. Tests are always much harder than any of her worksheets and she goes way too fast during lecture.
The final is a bit of nightmare and nothing like previous tests! BEWARE!
Overall Dr. Haught is a really great professor. Though she rushes through the material in class, if you take the time to see her in office hours she is extremely helpful and such a nice professor. I would recommend her to anyone
A great prof! She's very accessible if you actually need and want help. Lectures for about half the class, then group work. She wants to help and wants her students to do well. Weekly quizzes. Doesn't curve, though tests were fair. Tests resemble the group work and quizzes. She does have a decent amount of Wiley homework.
Dr. Haught is by far the most amazing math professor I've taken at Loyola. She engages our class with Mathematica projects that show the relevance of the topics we learn. She's a very fair grader (which is very important in math obviously) and there are 2 tests and 12 quizzes that are weighted roughly the same which allows for steady improvement.
Pay attention in lecture and you'll get an easy A. If you took AP Calc, you will be able to get a super high grade without doing much. She is a very sweet lady and will always help you if needed.
She is really nice and available outside of class to go over material. Her exams and quizzes are never anything super difficult. She also presents the material in a very manageable way with emphasis on practice problems that she breaks down in steps that are easy to follow. Also, for online homework only half correct in an assignment is full credit
If you're undecided on who to take, let me save you some time. Don't take prof Haught. She's a fine teacher but assigns a lot of homework and labs. Mathematica labs... I hate coding and it's basically coding with math. It sucks. There's a reason I didn't take compsci yet here I am coding... Weekly quizzes with little guidance as to what's on them.
Dr. Haught is without a doubt the best math professor I have had a Loyola. Take her if you can, she explains everything well and really cares about the students.
If you finish 50% of Wiley plus you get a 100%. Quizzes at end of every week. Tough subject and she goes very fast so keep up with the textbook.
She was the easiest teacher in the history of teachers. Literally go to her office hours and ask her about the material and she'll tell you exactly what you do and don't need to know for the exam. The key to passing this class with an A is going to her OFFICE HOURS. She teaches just what you need to know and is very direct. Highly recommend.
Dr. Haught is such a sweet lady. She helps on homework and clarifies concepts in office hours; take advantage of them if you are struggling. Homework is pretty average, 3 things a week: forum, wiley, and written homework. She is a pretty lenient grader as well. Take her!
Professor lectures a lot and goes fast but if you ask a question, she will review the problems until you understand it. She wants you to succeed and responds to emails fast.
Dr. Haught is an amazing professor! She always makes sure that her students learn the material. She posts annotated lectures at the end of class and makes herself available to answer any questions on the homework or in preparation for an exam. It is a good idea to read or skim sections of the textbook to reinforce the concepts. Would take again!
Weekly Wiley+ & forum, and either written homework or a quiz every other week. A lot of work and none of it correlated to one another. She does not prep the class well for quizzes or exams and majority of the class would not receive A's on the work. Bad final prep and most people were confused during the course. If you took AP calc in hs then take.
Dr. Haught was an awesome prof! She gave clear expectations about what every day would be like and made sure students understood all types of problems. Weekly quizzes. Wiley+ homework once or twice a week but as long as you got half of it right you got full points. She also incorporated real world stuff a lot. Weekly discussion forums on Sakai.
The GOAT. I love her. She is good if you didn't take Calc in highschool (which I didn't). I think she's one of the best in the Math Department. Quizzes every Thursday. 3 Exams and a final (like studyguides). Group participation activities every Tuesday. Math related Forum post and Wiley+ hw every week Very accommodating if you have to miss a quiz.
She goes very, very fast during her lectures and many students I have talked to say they can't keep up as well. If you struggle with math even a little bit, this is not the professor for you.
This was an awesome class taught by an awesome professor! Dr. Haught's lectures present the material in a clear way and she explains difficult proofs very carefully. The homework problems are challenging, but she is always more than happy to assist during office hours. I highly recommend Dr. Haught for automata/formal languages & any course!
This class was not super easy, but Dr. Haught made it fun and possible to pass with a good grade if you put in the effort. I had zero coding experience coming in and I felt that this class was very beginner friendly. It does move at a fast pace, but she is extremely accessible outside of class to answer any questions.
Dr. Haught was incredibly kind; however, she was super quiet. She is one of those teachers who is so smart that she can't really dumb it down. Her lectures felt never-ending. She was super super sweet though.
Super nice professor who is always willing to help if needed. Lectures were sometimes long and not the most engaging but they contained a lot of helpful information. Group work also gave us time to practice and ask questions. Homeworks were challenging but not big part of grade. Exams were straightforward and final was a project. Learned a lot!
Haught is SO smart, like truly one of the smartest professors at Loyola. That being said, at least for me, I dont think she did the best at dumbing it down enough. She is super kind and willing to help, but the content is tough and I found the examples and lectures to be hard to follow at times. Did learn a lot, just required out of class learning
Dr. Haught is very sweet!!! Her lectures are not always the best and it's easy to doze off. She is very caring about her students and tries to help everyone. There are only 2 exams + final and weekly quizzes, but 2 get dropped. I suck at calculus so if you are good at it, you will probably get an easy A.
Dr. Haught is amazing. Even though this was the most advanced math class that I have taken, she made it very understandable and well-organized. She knew everyones names by the 2nd week and made sure we knew at least some of our classmates. Dr. Haught is one of the most sweetest teachers i've had at loyola, cannot recommend her enough!
She is very kind, teaches material effectively, encourages group work, and is a very generous grader. Calc is a difficult subject and she sometimes can move pretty quickly, but she will gladly slow down if you ask her and she is always willing to go over extra example problems. Great, sweet professor and I definitely recommend.
Professor Haught is super kind and makes a tough subject manageable. The lectures can move quickly, but she's happy to slow down and provide extra examples. unstuck AI was a lifesaver for practice and prep.
Heavy workload with several assignments each week and long lectures. In-class partner work helped with learning. There were several difficult homework assignments, but you'll be fine if you go to office hours since Dr. Haught is so smart, patient, and willing to help. She shows enthusiasm for the material and she cares for her students. Take her!
