I thought this was going to be a boring class..turned out to be fun..a few quizes..movies..3 essays..one group project..I am the person that wants easy all the time...this class is easy and interesting..flexible teacher...answers ?'s and gives lots of extra credit..we read three books...Nickel and dimed, human rights, and the politics of injustice
Really interesting professor, sparks marginal interest in subject matter, pop quizzes constantly, grades essays VERY strictly, overall pretty good.
Holman works with her students and presents material in an interesting way. There are a lot of pop quizzes but if you read you will be fine. Essays are graded hard but follow the instructions and you wil be fine. The text books and the class overall is very LIBERAL which is good for some and bad for others. Overall fun class and good professor.
she is a great teacher and really wants you to learn the material. no tests! only a couple quizes and one group project. i would recommend her for other students!
The teacher is nice, but sometimes it seems like she doesn't know what she is talking about. Very boring lectures, constant quizzes on readings, and a VERY hard essay grader. Not a hard class if you follow the rules exactly..
She is very nice and give a decent amount of extra credit but the reading material and NYT articles are endless. Jumps around on the reading material too much and is very hard to follow. Grades very hard on papers. Very liberal too one sided, USA should not be the only country to take care of the poor of the world, she goes off on that too much.
Holman's class actually made me change my major to justice studies - made learning fun. i prefer the "easy a" classes; this def. wasn't one of them but turned out to be my fav. good class if you just want to see if JUS is right for you... ALL you have to do it read, and it's all interesting material so you wont be disppointed.
ive commented already but to clarify for future students: her lectures were so interesting to me - she encorporated lots of group discussion! Lots of NYTimes articles but they were short so pop quizzes were easy. interesting reading and easy EC. very helpful w/final. easy on paper-grading, she returned them w/comments for improvement! i loved her.
shes amazing! loved both classes i took with her! definitely taker her if possible
I have now graduated from ASU, but Chris Holman is the BEST professor I had during my whole entire time as an undergrad! seriously the most interesting and fun class to go to...she's awesome!
Most difficult tests ever. Apparently designed for people who attend the lectures and not the ones in the online class. She is also a left-wing radical, a viewpoint she teaches aggressively.
Dr. Holman's approach is hard to swallow. She spends a good portion of each class telling the students repeatedly that she does not base grades on th pinons of the students in opinion pieces. However, any opinion that does not mesh with her own is openly blasted as narrow, uninformed, oppressive, or prejudiced.
As a senior, I have to say that Dr. Holman's course is easily the most difficult one I've had at ASU, perhaps because of the differences in how she teaches 305 as opposed to 105. Regardless, test questions are highly obscure and I recommend spending at least a few hours on every section in the text, both rereading and outlining, to pass the tests.
Holman genuinely tries to take care of her students and make the class enjoyable. It's just really easy; there are A LOT of extra credit opportunities, and the tests are cake as long as you read. The main issue with the class is the textbook--the amount of spelling errors is unbelievable. I spent more time editing it than reading it.
While I have nothing against the teacher personally, I do have some problems with the way the class was taught. It revolved around the book which was very dry and repetitive. Her tests were tricky, and were my downfall in the class. Lots of EC opps, but no computers allowed and she will send important emails an hour before the class starts.
Dr. Holman is an awesome teacher. I was originally signed up to take this class from another professor, but the teacher dropped last minute. Best mishap ever. Very helpful, tests from book and lecture, reading absolutely required. Ask questions and study. I highly recommend her as a teacher and am taking another one of her classes.
Pretty easy teacher, sometimes she does not really know anything about the serial killer she is presenting to the class. Gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities. Tests are multiple choice and are easy if you do the study guides. She is a pretty cool chick. I enjoyed going to her classes
She knows nothing about the class. Teaches straight out of the textbook. Anytime you ask her a question, she will either make something up or say "I'll have to get back to you." Manages to turn an interesting subject into a boring class. Also, the textbook reads like one giant study.
I took the first big lecture class Dr. Holman ever took... and it was obvious. The information in the class/book is totally interesting, but she can't answer a single question about any serial killers. She seems incompetent. The class is easy- tests are straight out of the book. Attendance is mandatory though which sucks. It's a pretty good class.
Interesting class I learned alot about serial killers. Her tests are right from the book so make sure you do the readings. She was really helpful when I went by her office to talk with her. I will definitely take another class from her next semester!
I took this section because I heard that Holman was a good teacher. I was not let down. Overall it was a great class and she was really helpful and interesting!
Very interesting class. Lots of videos, lots of reading. Dr. Holman is very helpful, if she doesn't know the answer she will look it up for you. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Tests are straight from the study guide and youtube videos. Attendance is mandatory. often gave extra credit when class size looked small.
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! Such a stimulating course, lots of A&E videos on serial killers great lectures, text book is a good read and pretty cheap. First time taking her and I've signed up for 2 of her classes this semester. lost of class participation lil to no assignments offers extra credit! EASY COME TO CLASS! it was one class i refused to miss
I took this class because everyone raved about her and I am EXTREMELY let down. I understand in an online course the professor may need to use TA's for grading, but she does NOT answer any questions personally. She isn't teaching, her TA's are and they aren't very good. Don't take a course with her online, waste of time.
I had Holman for JUS207 and 105. Best professor I have ever had. Always answers questions quickly in class or email, gives material straight from tests and makes classes so interesting I changed my major to Jus. Studies! People say she sometimes doesn't know what she is doing, it's b/c she is a graduate student. But honestly, best professor ever.
I enjoyed this course very much! I took her JUS 435 Cinema class and am now taking JUS 494 with her and enjoy it as well. They are both 7 week courses so there is plenty of work to do every week, but she is very helpful and is always willing to help when needed. She was quick to respond to emails and is understanding of any problems. Recommended!
Absolutely amazing. LOVED her and the class. Wish I could take more of her courses. (I'm not a fan of online courses in general -- or I SO would.) Recommended 100%.
I took the online course. Her test I believe must have been for her in class as well as online, because there where test quetions that where not on online discussions. She gave a lot of extra credit for the online course. I believe to make up for the discrepancies. Would recommend if you like to read, watch movies, and write. Fairly easy.
I took a condensed, 8-week online version of the course, which I would not recommend for others. The structure was based on a strict, week-by-week deadline in which assignments were due Wednesdays by midnight, which conflicted with other coursewrk. Overall the content was not too bad, I was just not a huge fan of the structure of the course.
The lecture course I took with her about serial killers was awesome! As long as you attend, you will do well. Online, TOTALLY DIFFERENT STORY. I'm shocked this was the same person. Total overload of busywork, never responded to e-mails, and I'm almost positive she didn't bother reading the final papers. Everyone I knew in the class was devastated.
online course was all over the place: assignments posted at random, LOTS of writing, and very little feedback. Only take the class if you're willing to teach yourself & let your grade be a roll of the dice....
LOVED Dr. Holman! Any time I had a problem she responded w/in 24 hours or sooner. Her expectations & due dates were extremely clear. In her 7wk online class, there was a 20q quiz and an essay every week, and about 2 chapters to read. Tests are fairly easy and the essays are easy if youre a good writer. I wish I could take her again!
She is an excellent teacher! She cares about her students and is very helpful. She is extremely clear in what she wants and in what she will ask in tests. She always asks if Attendance is mandatory but class is interesting and if you read the book you're pretty much set. If you're interested in the subject you will do well
Best. Teacher. Ever. hands down. So nice and knowledgeable. Answers e-mails quickly, and is super helpful. You HAVE to go to class, not that anyone minds, because you should be interested if you are taking this class. A lot of videos from youtube, must read the book to pass the exams. Offered a couple extra credit opportunity. She's SUPER funny.
Dr. Holman is incredibly nice and always willing to work with her students. This was my second course with her and I absolutely love her as a profssor.
I thought she was not helpful at all. I think that she is nice sure but effective no. Her responses were unfair, unjust and made no sense. The assignments made no practical sense or relationship to the course description. Justice 435, they were analyzing films from different times and did not relate to the course subject.I passed.
Dr. Holman is an EXCELLENT professor. She is very active, engaging, responds to questions quickly, clarifies things as many times as needed, and provides stimulating conversation and thought provoking course content. She challenges you to think outside the box. I highly recommend her to anyone taking a justice course. You will love her!!
Avoid at all costs.
Took online and got by with taking one day out of the week to do all the weekly coursework. Lots of required movies/videos and the reading isn't that bad. The exams are based heavily on the movies and reading so make sure you actually pay attention. Weekly discussion board posts but it was an interesting class and I would recommend it
Great professor, my favorite class of this semester. Plus the material is really interesting. Weekly tests and discussion boards...youtube videos & readings. Easy class if you do the work.
Holman is a fair grader. She keeps the class, even though its online, interesting. I am going to look for her classes again later on.
This class a lot more demanding than I anticipated. Weekly quizzes on the readings, and a discussion post every week. Then a 7 page paper at the end. She offers a lot of extra credit so take advantage of that, I was able to get an A+
Holman is a great instructor! She grades fairly and is crystal clear about what she expects from her students. Overall, one of my best instructors so far without a doubt! I will definitely look for more of her classes later on.
This professor is great. Online is great for this class, watch movies and write on discussion board on what you read in the book, test are okay, its open book/ notes, but not what you think. Good class to do other wise make sure you ask her questions if needed.
Good class. Lots of reading, LOTS. (60 pages a week at times) But if you read the material and pay attention, Easy A. The essay at the end of the term was quite annoying since we already did so much reading as it was. A lot of work.
Such a great class! Tests are easy and are based on class readings and videos, but the answers can easily be found in the book or google. Interesting topics, quick to respond to emails, and offers alot of extra credit. A great class and professor!
Horrible class. A ton o busy work that is pointless. The professor does not grant reasonable extensions even though the entire online module went down. I hate the professors style so much I will never take another course from her again. By the other comments on here it is clear that JUS 494 is a crappy class.
Great professor! One discussion post and quiz a week. Reading wasn't too bad and it was interesting. The quizzes came straight from the book or videos and lectures. Takes notes during her online lectures. She is a great professor, just actually apply yourself in the discussion posts!
Professor Holman does such a great job making this class fun! Interesting class, easy discussion boards, and easy tests if you watched the movies. I only used the book during tests and it helped out a lot since she references the text quite a bit. Fun class and awesome professor, would recommend to anybody who wants an easy, fun class
I thoroughly enjoyed this course. You can tell the professor has a genuine interest in the topic and wants to ensure the students keep an interest as well. Weekly discussion board posts and quizzes. Not terribly difficult and I highly recommend the course.
Took this & JUS 374 with her online, and JUS 301 in person. Great professor, more than willing to help Exams are exactly like the study guide so if you do those, you'll pass with a breeze.
Easily one of my favorite professors.
Professor Holman is an amazing, down-to-earth prof. She is always clear and concise with what information she wants you to know and makes sure she reviews properly before tests. She kept the class entertaining and fun while at the same time ensuring that students were following and keeping up. If you need any help her office hours are great!!
Dr. Holman is one of my favorite professors at ASU. She is passionate about the material, does everything to see her students succeed, works to form personal connections (even in a class of 200), cracks tons of jokes, and makes class really interesting. YOu have to do the work (go to class, read, take notes, watch videos) but it's really interesting
One of the best professors I've had so far. The class was super interesting and had no homework but you have to study hard for the exams. Attendance mandatory but you get extra credit if you go to all the classes. She is really funny and is very clear about what things you need to know. Seriously great professor
Holman is a good person, but extremely dull. I never knew someone could talk about gruesome mass murders and serial killers yet fail to hold mine and many other's attention. Attendance is a stupid, the class has nearly 200 people, and I think we should have the decision of going to class or not. The tests are hard but she gives lots of extra credit
I have never met this professor and this class is online. Her lectures and tests seem old, and many of the answers for the exams were not found in either the videos or the text (the only two pieces required). Also, some of the "correct" answers were wrong. If you're looking for an easy A, take it - but you won't get the grade you deserve (A+).
Absolutely hilarious. You'll never be bored in any of her lectures, which helps a lot in keeping focus and learning the material. She's very straight forward in what she expects and what will be on the test. Just do what she asks and you'll do fine. Attendance is mandatory. Get ready to read. Material is sometimes emotionally heavy so expect that.
The class is extremely demanding. Had to take a day out of the week to just take care of the class. Make sure to do the extra credit. Holman is fairly helpful but does take awhile to grade...
Really interesting class. The material comes from the textbook (which was interesting) and YouTube documentaries (make sure you watch them). My only issue was that the material started to weigh on me emotionally after a little while, but she does warn you that could happen. If you're interested in that stuff, definitely take this class.
I don't know why this professor is ranking with a 3.8. I give her an easy 5. I think people need to understand that these are 400+ level courses. Of course we are going to have a lot of reading and essays. Prof Holman is clear in her expectations and gives you the material to succeed. She is understanding and helpful. Taking 3 more of her classes.
Seems like she put a lot of work into designing the class . Good lectures and clip selections. Take the discussion posts seriously or you won't do well. Tests are tough - a few of the answers are very likely wrong but you have to schedule time with her just to find out what you got wrong (needless to say, knowing is not worth it).
Her teaching skills are null. The way the class is designed is for mass production and attraction of students instead of quality education. Her classes does not correspond to the academic and job market.
This class requires strong analytical thinking, but it taught me so much I wish I could re-take it ten times over. I learned so much it was unbelievable, I loved it. Weekly tests & discussion boards and one final book review. If you do the readings and follow the instructions & feedback from instructor, you should do well. I LOVED this class!
Great teacher. I'm taking another class of hers in the spring.
Huge emphasis on tests - 50 points each. If you miss one you're pretty much screwed; this class affected my GPA because of it. 2 pts extra credit are added to early DB posts, but insufficient to make up for 1 missed test. Material is mentally challenging because topics of genocide being covered.
Great professor, taking another class from her next semester. Be prepared to ACTUALLY read though. The tests were full of trick questions, and even though I aced almost all of the papers, I didn't do great in the class due to stupid test questions. Definitely have google open during the quizzes and if you can make a study group that is even better.
Dr. Holman's lectures really allow you to learn naturally instead if just learning to pass a test. She really knows what she's talking about and really wants people to participate. Be sure to go to every class cause she covers a lot of material every class period! All in all great professor and awesome class!
Really great class! She treats discussion boards like papers, knowing that, she is really clear on what she expects. Weekly extra credit! Chose a verity of movies. Beware: you have to find the movies yourself! Sometimes that was not easy! Tests were not too bad. Read everything! The text is interesting, all quiz questions come from text or movie.
I have taken his professor both in-person and online and if you ever have the option to take her in-person DO IT! While her online class was not extremely difficult, it was not nearly as interesting. Her class in-person is phenomenal if you're actually wanting to learn. I got an A+ in-person and a B+ online. Highly recommend this professor!
there is a test and discussion board do every week and one paper at the end of the class. If you read all the materials she gives you for that week you will do fine on the DBs and the tests. Need to actually put effort into this class or you won't pass. you do get 2 EC points each week for the DBs.
There is a test every week for online class. Read, highlight, annotate the reading. You cannot go back to change answers. You do get 2 EC per week if you submitted your DBs early. If there is a problem, email her. If she cannot resolve Blackboard issues, get a hold of Blackboard tech and provide case # so she understands what is really going on.
If you really want to learn this subject, she's a great professor for this class... you will be forced to read the text ahead of the weekly 25 qstn test - answers are not spoon-fed in lectures. The grading is fair and feedback on forums, etc. is very clear. Dr. Holman is also very available via e-mail and visible in the course. Work and get an A.
Just don't take the class unless you really have too. Its boring, she's nice but her lectures blow. You literally talk about 100 years worth of information in one lecture and you have homework during the week a lot more than most classes. She grades okay not too bad, but you cant even read her hand writing so not sure what the feedback said ever?
This is the second class I've taken with Dr. Holman. She is responsive and very willing to help. The subject matter is interesting and current with a good mix of journals, news, and videos instead of a text book. Dr. Holman does not give easy A's - you will work for a good grade, but grading is fair with extra credit options and you will learn.
BEST PROFESSOR OUT THERE! In person class material is really engaging. Have to go to classes but she'll give TONS of EC for showing up. Her tests are straight forward, and same with the grading of written assignments. Really there for you. Really caring, and open to any type of discussion, and straight forward. Take this class! Class requires work
Dr. Holman is hands down one of my favorite professors so far. She really cares about her students and having them succeed. She's very understandable and is always willing to help. Go to class (she notices when you are not there), read the books, and theres no reason you shouldnt get an A. There are also a lot of extra credit opportunities!
Dr. H is by far my favorite professor at ASU. She's very caring and very clear on what she expects out of all of us. Although attendance isn't mandatory, she gives out random extra credit points just by showing up, or she'll take attendance by an in-class assignments. But seriously class is so interesting that you'll WANT to go to it.100% recommend
I think Dr. Holman might be my favorite professor at ASU. She's incredibly knowledgeable & cares about the students especially in regards to how they're dealing with the subject matter. She's been an invaluable asset to my education & I'm proud to have learned from her.
This professor is very opinionated and definitely pushes that on her students, which is weird for a film class where the content is up for interpretation. She also marks you down if your analysis of the film doesn't agree with hers, but the films are interesting and the course content is overall pretty fun.
Listen to the lectures, read the book and watch the movies a couple times. She knows her stuff and CLEARLY lists out all requirements for each post/reply assignment as well as the final. My only issue is the division of the class into small groups, many do not follow her directions and it can be a drawback when you need to get your reply in.
Good class! Teacher was great, but is a little tight on grading on discussion post and on final paper. All test are 25 questions each, once you answer the question and move forward you can't go back. Make sure you read the text book that's where all the answers come from along with the lectures!
The class I took was fairly simple, you just needed to read the required chapters and watch the lectures and movies. As long as you did that then you would ace the quizzes and discussions. I would definitely take the course again.
The amount of writing and referencing required is so beyond any class I have ever taken. Hardest grader I have ever had and takes so long to grade things that you don't end up getting feedback in time to improve. For a lower division course, the amount of busy work was ridiculous.
Dr. Holman is one of the most understanding and caring professors I have had at ASU so far. She always provided amazing feedback in order for you to grow more in your next assignments. A super nice and accessible professor who genuinely cares about her students and making sure they understand the course work. Will definitely be taking another class
Grading criteria was very arbitrary. Prof was passive aggressive and opinionated on the materials, and if your opinion was different, you would not get full credit.
I loved this class! The material was engaging and not that difficult. The online class is fast-paced but doable. Dr. Holman is very caring and responsive. Would definitely take her again :)
I really liked JUS 204. I took that this summer 2019 and I'll be taking her twice in the fall for JUS 374 and JUS 329. Her classes are super interesting so you'll want to learn and do the reading. Only thing I don't like and that I've never come across before (senior year) is you can't change test answers after you've entered them.
Class is unusually fast paced. Heavy homework load. Don't take if you have a full schedule, and expect to actually sleep. Hard to get an A. She's super opinionated and doesn't like it when you disagree. I love the subject of the course, but she makes me not want to do the work. Not recommended.
This intro level class requires a ridiculous amount of reading (50-60 pages a week) with biweekly quizzes and essays. The essays (writing assignments) are 4-6 pages long and require you to cite the readings from the week and do your own research on the topic. The content is interesting, but the amount of work required is ridiculous.
Dr. Holman is an understanding professor. She doesnt like busy work and she doesnt really believe in tests. Theres a hefty amount of reading in this class. There is an essay or a discussion board to complete at the end of a module and a quiz. She would extend deadlines for anyone that truly needed one and is kind to her students.
Professor knows what she's talking about and is a great professor. She offers extra credit and can be lenient when it comes to assignment due dates. Although the class was interesting, she assigned a heavy amount of reading and at the end of every module(every two weeks), she would assign a quiz and an essay (4-5 pages).
Good teacher.
i had her during the remote semester and i regret my decision. her announcements were copied from last and all the dates were from spring, so it was confusing to figure out what was due when since the assignments were slightly different. took forever to grade, but she did give plenty of extra credit. her quizzes are hard so make sure to read
Holman is a good professor, but there is a lot of reading and hw due every 2 weeks.
Told her my uncle, who is basically my dad, found out he had cancer and that I needed to withdraw from the class. She refused to withdraw me and just wished me the best of luck. I have only turned in one assignment and had to do all my schoolwork from the hospital. She clearly has no heart and take this class too seriously. I would AVOID this class
Professor Holman was amazing! Her JUS 374 class was great, but emotional because learning about the Holocaust and other genocides is never a happy subject, but it was inspirational and makes you think. She makes sure you take time out for yourself mentally. Her feedback was helpful. Lectures were great, need to view them for tests/quizzes to pass
Unclear DB post guidelines, states that peer replies are general (when not). It seems that she graded full points on DB whenever she felt like. Last DB post average was 11.8/20. Doesnt show quiz feedback ever, and true/false is tricky. Films are around 3 hours each week, but great movies. Ive taken another class and she okay. Would not take again
Dr. Holman is very proficient in the teachings and clearly cares. But get ready for a lot of work. For an upper division course, I found this to be more difficult than any other ones I have taken. Almost every week we had to read at least 2 chapters, watch a movie, take a test, write a db post and reply, and watch required lectures and video clips.
Prof gives extra credit opportunities both in & out of class. Workload is medium, just because theres constant reading & time consuming assignments. Lectures were very informative. I really enjoyed the professors helpfulness and dedication. Only problems were occasional technology confusion.
Dr. Holman was a pleasure to take this class. I really appreciate her acknowledging that the subject matter was heavy, and she was willing to work with us on difficult weeks. I learned quite a bit, and she offers study abroad to increase your knowledge.
Has a day's worth of each reading, video, and lecture. Then none of any of the Information we learn from that is even on the quizzes. Grading isn't precise for anything. No one in my class has gotten anything higher than a 13/20 on any of the examinations, and no one has gotten higher than a 17/20 on any discussion board post. Don't take this class
Dr. H was very informative, she is lenient to an extent so make sure you are reading and asking questions. She is accommodating and changed due dates because as a class we were a little confused. Offers extra credit, for an upper division class you really get the workload you would expect. Nothing too crazy, I would definitely take again.
Lecture style is extremely hard to keep up with. Goes on too many tangents. Is always a few minutes late to class. Only begun to grade things past half way thu semester. Punishes students for not watching boring docs she puts on class. If you do not show up to class you cannot get an A. Generally just a basic teacher doing this for work.
Grades things way too slowly, lectures are basic. Professor goes on too many tangents. She takes things personally too, so if one student is not listening in class she will stop lecturing to shame and make fun of student. Really confused as to why she teaches IRL, seems like a better online teacher, there's nothing captivating about what she offers
Dr. Holman is smart and passionate, but she is a very slow grader. Don't expect to know your grade all sem. The syllabus also states that she does not take attendance and this is not true. There was several classes where she would pass around a paper just to grade our attendance, and it would be put in Canvas as "attendance grade". Good class tho!
Holy cow. 2 weeks in and this week we are expected to: read 90 pages, watch 60 min of lecture videos, watch a 1hr 40min movie, watch another 8min video, do a discussion post, reply to a peer, and a quiz....so yeah, for an elective class, GOOD LUCK! Quizzes are hard, but you get 2 attempts. However, you can't see what you got wrong...
Class is based off the discussion posts (which are graded super hard) and tests. The final paper is total BS as well. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. you won't learn anything anyways. The movies are long and mostly suck besides a few.
I really enjoyed this class and especially the content. She was usually a fast grader and would give you feedback. I don't know if I would take her in person tho. She was a little all over in her lecture videos. But she was a good teacher online.
Prof IS passive aggressive & very opinionated, if your opinion is different, u will not get full credit or an "A " I wrote something in one Module that she 100% disagreed with... And from that point on my grade suffered on everythng! I barely got a "B" She's a TOUGHT grader I WILL NEVER TAKE HER AGAIN! Believe the neg comments they r 100%
Random credit for attending classes, but if you attend you will have a perfect score. Great teacher, responds immediately, is compassionate for personal issues, is a bit of a slow grader, and has lots of personal connections through class lectures. Great teacher and I will take her again!
By far harshest grader l've ever had. Had to write1K word DBs to get even close to full credit. NOT ONCE did I ever receive feedback on the content of my papers, exclusively lost points/left feedback on citation. 100% an English class not a CJ class. Spent 8hrs, 7pg final paper, received "solid effort." Discouraging, unmotivating environment
Prof Holman is an engaging instructor. The workload is manageable if you stay on top of the readings and assignments. Unstuck study was a huge help for study prep. Would take again.
She's a great professor, very understanding and fair. As far as the work its is manageable nothing too difficult just read and you're good. She gives random EC for attendance and isn't boring during class.
Professor Holman is an excellent instructor who covers fascinating topics about the minds of serial killers. She's kind and articulate, and I would gladly retake her class. However, be aware that she doesn't accept late assignments—no exceptions—so it's crucial to respect deadlines and plan accordingly. Don't fall behind!
Didn't grade 6 out of 7 weeks' worth of homework until 5 to 3 days before the end of class, after all homework due dates had passed. Then, kept giving me various levels of points off for the same error, which I couldn't fix because all homework except for the final was already turned in by the due dates. Thank God I did the extra credits.
Dr H is a great professor. She is really kind and understanding as long as you communicate any issues you have inside out of class. The course is based on discussions/lectures, and for the homework, I would say it is an easy A. Just put in the effort and read the material; it's a JUS class, so nothing out of the ordinary.
