She is fairly easy, you just have to go to class to take notes on the lectures bc she does not put her power points online, so although she doesnt take attendance, its pretty much necessary. And tests are somewhat tricky, so study beyond just knowing the terms. know how the concepts link together and stuff.

There are only three tests that comprise your grade so it's difficult to get an A. I wasn't sure what to expect the first test so I didn't do very well. Sadly even though the tests after that went a lot better, it was basically impossible to get an A. I think the class would be a lot easier if there were other grades, but overall it was mediocre.

I loved prof Lipsmeyer! She did not have live lectures, so it was a little difficult to force myself to watch the prerecorded ones but they were very well made. The tests and analytical assignments are easy if you prepare and she is quick to answer any question or address a difficulty you may have!

Dr. Lipsmeyer's class was very easy to make an A and I still learned a lot. There is a required textbook, but I didn't use it. She is very nice and it is easy to prepare for the assignments and tests we have. Overall it was a great class!!

Weekly quizzes over articles that account for half your grade and 3 exams that are not cumulative. Take the class seriously from the beginning and you can easily get an A, take the quizzes seriously. Drop one quiz but no extra credit. Tests are pretty straightforward and open notes. Overall a good class and professor.

Professor Lipsmeyer teaches Political Science passionately every lecture. I feel more confident about the subject. She is very just but merciful. I accidentally missed my first Analytical Assignment: a quiz where you look at an article and answer some easy questions. She wouldn't let me retake it, but instead dropped everyone's lowest quiz grade.

For such a generally boring course, Professor Lipsmeyer made this class enjoyable. Very lecture heavy but Professor Lipsmeyer's passion for the content makes the class go by fast. Simply typing her lectures and skimming the content in the textbook can get you a solid B/C in the class. Take her!!

Professor Lipsmeyer is not that bad of a teacher. Her grading policy is not the best considering she bases 75% of your grade off of 3 tests. However, if you are able to take good notes and fast you will do really good in this class. Make sure to get a friend in there so you can get the notes from someone if your absent.. She doesnt post lectures.

There are 3 tests and 5 Analytical Assignments. She does not curve, does not record her lectures, or use power point, and will not repeat herself if you have questions. She's all about numbers which I get, but she makes her class unnecessarily difficult and hard to grasp. If you are looking for an easy class and need an A this isn't your class.

Prof Lipsmeyer was alright. You have to do well on exams because they make up most of your final grade. No extra credit/help at all and no homework besides five assignments that are ten questions each. Coursework is not heavy but if you don't go to class you won't have any notes from the lecture. Study notes and textbook and you'll get at least a B

Doesn't record lectures or have text on powerpoints, so attendance is required. Can ask questions after class and I read almost all the chapters when we were supposed to, but you could prob get away w/o reading

Most will say you need to go to class and read the book to pass the class but I did better on the exams when I did not go to class, did not have the lecture notes or read the book. If your fine with a B then this class will be a breeze but if you want an A go to class for the specific things on exams. Her lectures werent boring at all.

By far the worst class I've taken. Her PowerPoints are just pictures so if you think you can skip class, good luck. There are only 4 assignments and 3 exams so you really have to do good because she does not give extra credit. Exams are about 75 questions, in 60 minutes and does not allow you to go back to the previous questions.

Dr. Lipsmeyer is a great professor and easy to learn from. For my class, with her, while a textbook was recommended, I did not use it after the first test. SHOW UP TO HER CLASS. Professor Lipsmeyer's class is heavily based on 3 exams. She assigns weekly PackBacks which are 10% of your grade. 90% of your grade is determined by three exams. You have to come to class because she doesn't post her lectures and the slides she uses have no words on them. In my opinion this class was far more difficult than it should have been (absolutely no curving/extra credit).

You must go to class if you want to understand the content. Her lecture slides contained pictures but she spoke her lectures, you had to focus on her to actually learn the content instead of copying slides. I personally liked this, but others might not. This is likely the other reason why her exams were open note. Engaging and lovely lectures.

Attending lecture is the only way to get the course material because she posts lectures without slides so it's impossible to go over outside of class. She does not record lectures or have any outside resources other than the textbook. The exam is a huge part of the grade so if you get anything below what you want there is no hope.
