One of the best teachers at UMUC. I learned more from her then any of my other English or Writing classes. She is helpful and cares about your grade and she is full of energy. She grades fairly and honestly. I would take any of her classes again in a heart beat.

WTG 293 with Dr. W was a great class. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thanks to the atmosphere, I found it easy to participate and learn. UMUC provided all materials needed online which also saved time and money. Because I benefitted from this class educational wise, I have enrolled for another writing class with Dr. W. Dr. W is one of the best instructors I have ever had. Not only is she the most engaging but she actually cares about each and every student. She helps those who have a different way of learning and pushes those whom she knows can do better. All in all UMUC found a gem and I hope they keep her!

Had the most amazing time learning about Scottish literature and history. She knows her Scottish literature! Just listen to her and you will learn more than you think.

Gave us an in depth submersion in Scotland. The trip was amazing. The history was all around us. She made learning so enjoyable.

Dr. W is one of my favorite Professors. I wish she taught here in Naples instead of Germany! I've taken two of her classes both of them Field Studies. They were both really well organized and crazy fun. She really connects with her students and tries to give us the best experience possible. I definitely recommend her as your next professor!

Dr. Wettlaufer-Adcock is an AMAZING professor, she's by far the best professor I've had. I wish I could take one of her classes again. She's very down to earth and understanding and makes you want to show up and participate in class. If you have the opportunity to take one of her courses you won't be disappointed!

Dr. W. typically wouldnt teach this subject, but I am so glad she did! Her English background really helped students developed writing skills while the film aspect made the material so fun. We wrote short essays each week based on opinion. The Hybrid version of this kept us from needing to complete a final or a weekly quiz.

I have taken two classes with Professor Wettlaufer and there is a reason for that. She is an inspirational teacher and an amazing person. She is direct with instructions and does not waste students time. She wants students to succeed but will not tolerate lack of effort. I do not think she could be better.

Dr. W is second to none. She is an exceptional instructor and is effective in her teaching methods. Her field study in Edinburgh, Scotland was amazing. It was full of fun academic learning events that I will never forget. All student's should hope to have an instructor like her. I hope our paths cross again in the future.

Dr. W explains writing in the most simplistic way. She gives extra care to those who need more help. By far the best Professor I have had.

I had the pleasure of participating in a field-study to Ireland with Dr. W, and it was the most fun I've ever had taking a course. Make no mistake about it, you are expected to do the work, but she makes it easy. She is incredibly enthusiastic about her job and will take you under her wing to ensure you are getting the most out of your experience.

This writing class one of my favorite classes that I have taken in my college career so far. I was DREADING this class because I did not want to sit at a desk for 3 hours learning about how to write, but once I met the professor I knew I would absolutely love the class and I did. She literally made writing fun and she was so fun to be around!

I have taken several classes with her. He is fun, inspirational, and amazing. You can expect to work for your grade if you take any upper-level class with her, but she will always work with you. I have recommended her classes to all of my friends. I hope I will get a chance to take another class with her again.

She's probably the coolest teacher I've ever had. She doesn't mess around though. She doesn't have any patience for sloppiness, laziness, or drama. She is a hard grader and will definitely make you work for your grade, but she'll make you want to work hard. She is an excellent teacher! Dr. W. is an intriguing and humorous professor. I took the 8 wk hybrid course and learned quite a bit to better my own writing, specifically with future cover letters and resumes. She provides great feedback and chances to resubmit your work as needed. There is some reading required and participation is mandatory.

The professor was available to contact any time, it was relieved to me. The feedback was very understandable.

I've only written 2 of these out of my 74 credits, but Prof. W is definitely one of a kind. She didn't punish me if I had some late assignments and her class lectures were mostly class discussions. She's got a different sense of humor (so if you are super sensitive, I'd suggest not taking her class), but is caring and great to be around.

Dr. W. made this class fun. I was afraid because English is not my first language but she is kind and knows every name and cares about you. She has super high standards. APA and citations must be perfect or you get a zero! But you can try again. Listen to her and redo your work. You can learn and get a better grade. I learned so much from her.

Great class. Interesting subject matter. Lots of discussion about relationships and self-reflection. Tons of reading, but professor broke things down and used real-life scenarios. One of the best professors at UMUC. She is kwirky and fun. I have always had a high level of anxiety about writing and have been putting this class off for the last two years. Dr. W made the semester very stress-free. The last was more of a business communications class and was very informative. Dr. W actually cares about your education.

I would take another class with Dr. W if I could. She made the class fun for the students and since it was a ENGL 102 class it was not that hard. She actually explained and broke down APA style which helped most of the class on the proper form for an essay. Highly recommend taking one of her classes.

Professor Wettlaufer-Adcock is rare find in today's college setting. I wish I had taken a writing course with her sooner in my academics . Her guidance will change the way you gather your research information and the way you write. It is impossible to leave her presence without gaining knowledge and becoming a better writer.

Professor Lockhart is an outstanding professor at UMGC. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is eager to see all of her students succeed in the classroom.

The course consisted of 3 papers worth 20 points each, 8 quizzes worth 2.5 points each, and 8 discussion posts worth 2.25 points each. The instructor will give out the maximum amount of points if you do the work, very professional and wanting to assist. I would recommend taking any course with this instructor especially those new to college courses

Professor Lockhart is an amazing professor and genuinely cares for her students. She sometimes allows extensions on assignments before you even have to ask because she wants her students to produce a well thought out paper. You can't go wrong with her class and she grades fair.
