nice but hard grader
Sweetest lady, happy all the time
I really enjoyed Mrs. Moore's class. It demands a lot of work in the library, but it's a good course for those wanting to learn about Desktop Publishing or web design.
Pretty easy class if you know a little bit about computers. She is REALLY nice and is pretty cool with everything.
Professor Moore was terribly underinformed for running this class. She constantly did not know information beyong anything that was in the text book. Several times she asked me for help when someone asked a simple question. Very frustrating.
She is so easily distracted. She will postpone assignment ALL the time. Very easy if you're good with computers. Due dates are flexible.
This class was so easy, it requires no work if you know how to copy and paste. Her attendance policy on the otherhand sucks. She enforces it, though there is nothing to do in the class, you have to sit there and suffer in bordom
you will learn a lot in this class .. plan to spend some extra hours in the comp lab though. Sure, you will fail if you play comp games the whole class so just pay attention and you'll do great....she is a caring teacher and will help you any time
She is very helpful and doesn't make you have too much work at one time.
she is a really nice lady, class is so boring all i do is play on comp. lots of dumb HW assignments,attendence policy sucks. other than that its easy, i didnt study for either test and i got an 87 and 89, i'd have an A if i did my homework
Mrs. Moore is very nice, but the class is definatley not an easy A. In fact the first test was HARD. Very boring as well.
she is so helpful and sweet...tests were actually hard, i strongly recommend finding someone who has taken the class and getting their old tests...but the work is fun and you learn how to create a whole website which i think is an awesome ability to have
After making a 53 on the first test, I was sure I was doomed. Don't drop this class though, cause it gets much easier, I ended up with an A in the class and I didn't even study that much.
She is so helpful and the class is so easy. The first test was really hard but it doesn't matter, just turn in your assignments and you'll get an A. I really recommend this class.
Christine is a really sweet lady, but sometimes it doesnt seem like she knows what shes talking about. i kind of regret taking this course becaue i dont think i really learned anything. some of the tests are hard if you dont read the textbook. you also have to buy like 3 books for the class :|
Prof Moore is very sweet, smiling all the time, and very helpful. She won't hesitate to come to the aid of a student in need. However, I think she takes on too many classes just because she's a busy-body! She talks very fast, but will stop when asked to. Always respectful and nice to everyone.
The nicest and most patient professor ever. She's very helpful and wants everyone to do well--the class isn't hard if you simply listen to her instructions.
Awesome teacher. Will help you anytime you need it. She says what she wants done and sticks to it. Very knowlegdable on the subject matter. There was never a day Moore didn't smile in class. Sweet and friendly teacher. Def. Stay in her class
I dont know what theses people are talking about. Yeh, she is a real sweet lady, so what, you have to be up to date on computers. She is still living in the 1990's and seems like she needs to take a few classes from the guys the sits in front of me. She needs some critical updates.....
The assignments handed out by this teacher are utterly ridiculous. They are too vague and the online quizes mess up too often and when it messes up, you are S.O.L. Mrs. moore needs to teach children or something less important than a college calss

She is really nice, but sometimes she doesn't know what she's talking about. Make sure you look at all assignments and the syllabus, because she sometimes doesn't mention that assignments are due.
if you dont know much about computers, you will need to study for the first test...good course overall and I learned a good bit (mostly MS apps) some hw every week, semester project thats not bad, would take again
Great professor for people who don't know much already. I knew a good bit before I went into the class so it was kind of a slow pace for me. she's so helpful. there's a decent amount of homework but its not hard..its actually quite interesting. I highly recommend her!

SUPER SUPER nice lady who just wants her students to do well in the class. LOTS of assignments, but they are easy easy! Does take attendance everyday, but she gives extra credit sometimes if the attendance is low...worth it!! very good class!!
She is a super nice lady and is extremely helpful!!! If you pay attention to what she says in class and do the assignments its a pretty easy class...she is very helpful if you dont understand something...she is a little unfamiliar with the new technology

I took this class thinking it would be an easy elective. It's not! She's a nice lady, but she's not very good at teaching. If you miss 1 to 2 days, you are completely lost! Take yoga or swimming instead!
Don't take her.She actually seems to be retarded. she askes how to work the computer everyday and spends more than half the time on excel becauce she dosn't know how to do anything else. This class is alll busy work. only take it if you want to work hard for a bad grade.
This class is very easy. You can surf the net the whole time and still get a good grade. As long as you turn in everything, there is no reason you shouldnt get 100% for homework. The only part that is difficult is the test, but if you still just a little bit, you should be fine
Prof. Moore is a bit scatterbrained. She has a hard time keeping on track. If you study for tests you should do fine, but she grades the homework for accuracy instead of completion.
This class is awful!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID! Huge semester project with sooooo much busy work! Do not take this class!!!
WHY didn't i take yoga instead? Class is all busy work, which is twice as hard after you have to decipher her always vague directions. Really didn't learn a thing in this class-she's a nice lady, but it's just stupid to have 4 things due/week. The textbook SUCKS. it's like quia but for excel and always malfunctions and gives you a lower grade.
Very nice woman, just not a great professor. Lots of busy work and a semester project that is pretty pointless. Goes into much more detail than should a 100 level course. Wouldn't recommend this course by any means.

She is a very sweet woman and wants you to do well. The only thing is that she speaks very confusingly and it takes some serious reading of the handouts to figure out exactly what is due when.
To all the people who think she's hard... you must have never used a computer before. If you like playing on the computer, definitely take this course... I never read the book (except the step-by-step directions for assignments there). She cancels class and/or lets us out early a lot, too! Easy A if you know how to use a computer!
The class is nothing but busy work. It's like youre in high school again. She's confusing and usually refuses to help unless you come to her office. She doesnt even know what Mac OS X is! How does she have a job teaching computer science?
Textbooks are pretty mandatory, but you'll get the class in a cinch if you've ever used MS Paint or Myspace. Easy A's for playing on the computer. She can be a bit lackadaisical at times, but is really pleasant if you ask her for help. She'll 100% help you out.
She is extremely helpful & nice. Yes, she grades by the book and doesnt give out 100's to those who do not earn it. She gives detailed instructions on her handouts & if you dont validate your site (takes 30 sec) you will miss some points. The validate is to help you! It tells you exactly what is wrong with your html. Take this class its pretty easy
She's an alright teacher. Super nice and helpful, but doesn't seem to know that subject all that well. Luckily, if you put some effort in, read up in the textbook and the W3C website for instructions, she'll respond well and change your grade if you go to her office hours. You'll do well if you stay in contact with her, tests are easy (we made q's)
This individual may very well be the worst professor I have ever had. The tests she gives are impossible to study for, for example, she doesn't even give the answers to her study guides. So, I tried to look up the answers to them on adobe's website (which makes the program that she tests on) and I couldn't even find them there nor the textbook.
Rambles, gets annoyed if you ask questions other than current material (watch out overachievers), mandatory attendance, doesn't inform of deadlines in class, and beware, she turns part of the course into a history course. (CSCI 115 should be a skills course)
Shes easy as long as you pay attention. She gets everything for the tests STRAIGHT from the book. If you need help, ask her after class and shes very helpful. She has a good memory so if you continually don't show for class and ask stupid questions, shes obviously not going to like you. study the study guides and you'll get an easy A
Do not take this class. She is a very nice lady but seems to know absolutely nothing about the subject. She would change the schedule almost daily because she would fall behind. Felt like I was in high school again. The class seemed to teach her more things than she taught us. Busy work and group projects.
She is really nice, but she is not a good teacher. If you can self- teach yourself this might be the class for you. Attendance is mandatory! She gives actual written test which are extremely hard. Class was fun at first but the class had too many students so it was hard for her to help people. Most people dropped the class.
Poorly organized, requires you to purchase the book but never uses it. Gives poorly written instructions for computer exercises. Does not explain concepts well and tests are not an accurate test of your ability. Is an easy grader but very frustrating to work with. Very disappointed with what could have been a useful class.
Poor organization. Gives you numerous projects with no coherence to each other. Spends all class working on a simple exercise and then have hours of work outside of class that she doesn't discuss at all. Unwilling to answer questions, Assigns a textbook and then never uses it, instead uses badly self-written exercises. The worst prof I've had.
Really wanted to learn about website development but it was a complete waste of time. The exercises were boring and the entire class is following her doing extremely simple tasks. The class is stuck in the early 2000s. Needs to be modernized. Nonetheless, it's an easy class. Few homework assignments and for the final you have to make your own site.
Not only does she have difficulty navigating computers, she is very bad at explaining things and doesn't make sure the class is following along. Do not take this class with the intention of learning anything. Tests have nothing to do with your coding proficiency. She just does assignments in class and expects you study the book. HW is repetitive.
Makes you buy a 130$ textbook for 1 assignment. Half of the time you are coding a website that she never checks nor cares that you complete. Also, you will be downloading a new program/picture/font/etc. Almost everyday. If that sounds fun to you then take this teacher. Other wise. I would not recommend her to anyone.
Overall terrible professor. She was completely unavailable for extra help. Never responds to emails regarding questions on the class. Does not specify assignments and does not communicate in the classroom the way a college professor should. When taking her Graphic Design course, you are basically on your own. Good luck.
Professor Moore is a nice women, and willing to help but is a bad professor. If you take her expect to teach yourself. The test are on paper even though it's a computer programming class? Her test also have a lot of writing . The bulk of your grade will come from assignments, so as long as you do good on those you'll pass.
She's a nice person but she's a terrible professor, the exams have nothing to do with the material you learn in class. She expects you to learn by yourself from the book and she doesn't help much outside of class. You could learn the same with only the book. She is not good at explaining the material from the book and I would never take her again.

Easy class as long as you have the book. Professor Moore is a very kind. The bulk of your grade is based on the assignments, most of which are done in class. She releases a study guide for the tests which have pretty much the same questions as the test. The final is a website that you turn in online. The book is a clear guide for the assignments.
Organization of the class is horrendous. If you don't check OAKs, the website, the book, and the papers she hands out everyday you'll miss something.
She is unfortunately ridiculous with amount she assigns for HW and tests. Hours of work for an online class. Book is expensive too. Trust me, this is not an easy A or even a pass. Avoid at all cost.

Prof. Moore is very sweet and willing to help you in office hours. She doesn't have a bad bone in her body but she is very hard to follow in class and sometimes does not seem knowledgeable about class content. This can make the class even more confusing at times but overall she's great if you're someone who will need help outside of class.
Very textbook intensive focused. Mainly self learning and just doing the assignments on your own. She does do a great job explaining if you are stuck on something.
I took CSCI114 last semester and currently taking CSCI140 with her also. Super easy grader, just follow all the requirements she has listed on the assignments and you'll get a good grade. She isn't really good at explaining things but she is really sweet will try her best to help you.
Nice as can be. Sometimes hard to follow. Just read the bookno notes really needed. 3 tests; 1 was handwritten. Can get a little snappy with the feedback in OAKS. Check OAKS everyday bc there will be assignments you didnt know about. Gotta come to class everyday bc there are assignments thats due that you must complete in class and its random
Professor Moore is super sweet and I learned a lot in her class! Sometimes its difficult to follow but we do a lot of examples in class that can be referenced if you need help. A little slow on emails. We did not use the book much if at all so Id recommend getting a trial online if you need it. I enjoyed the class personally, just stay organized.
Currently still taking professor Moore for CSCI 215 and CITA 140, I see that many people mentioned that the organization is scattered which is somewhat true. It's manageable including the content in both of her classes. For CSCI 115, my interest in web design helps me flow easily for the course, but CITA 140 requires more effort (dealing with data)
She is a very kind and caring professor and I learned a lot in her class, it's definetely a good class to take if your just learning how to code. My only complain is that sometimes the lectures felt a little scattered and hard to follow. But, thats ok because most of the information is available in the textbook/website/powerpoint etc.
Very nice professor , very understanding of people like me who are just beginners in the course. Office hours were very helpful and she was flexible with your schedule. Recommend this class
Makes last minute changes to assignments constantly. She doesn't seem to know the content she teaches and would often get confused with that she taught us. Didn't finish teaching the curriculum and constantly deducted late points for assignments that were not late. She deducts 30 points for any and every mistake made on assignments.
She was a sweet enough woman but talked about leaving the school everyday, she threw an actual temper tantrum once because she couldn't get the white board figured out and we heard her yell the f-word and storm away. Also she never knew what was going on in class, lessons were harebrained at best and downright stupid at worst.
I liked her as a person, sweet lady, but I felt like I was teaching myself most of the material. She also is kind of an airhead and will forget most things she assigns and also wont go over how to do something for an assignment
The professor is very disorganized, passive-aggressive, and arrogant. She taught us the first 8 chapters of the textbook and then began teaching us out of order (which was confusing). She also grades subjectively. She'll take points off if she thinks your work is ugly, etc. She avoids questions and gets mad at questions a lot.
Professor Moore for 115 was great. It was my first time coding and she made everything very simple and easy to follow. She's very understanding. Her tests are like the study guide. The homework and practice are actually useful. Always accepted questions after class.

She doesn't have a calendar so you really don't know when anything is due. doesn't actually know what she is doing, I asked her to explain something she told us to do, and she had to ask a student to teach her something that she was supposed to teach us. doesn't know what she is talking about at all
I think everyone should know that this teacher is absolutely horrible. She's rude over emails, she grades everyone differently and also acts like she's the all almighty person.
Nice enough but TERRIBLE teacher. I had to teach myself everything and she talks to you as if you are a professional coder. Literally never available for office hours but when she is, she just ignores you and completely avoids the question. If you get behind you are done for because everything builds off of each other, and she doesn't care.
well well well. I hated this class. I have taken plenty of programming classes during college but this BEGINNER LEVEL class had me struggling simply because she is confusing, doesn't really know what she is talking about, and we sometimes have to teach her what to do. i just wanna drop lowkey :(
I made a good report with this professor at the beginning, but it went down hill after that. She was very unprofessional one time where she notified the class about a late arrival and in the email she wrote "In the meantime, we can work on zoom effectively. I'm gonna try to log on now." She did this WHILE DRIVING! Not a smart move there.
Professor Moore is the worst professor I've ever had. She seems a little frazzled but quite sweet in person, but gets NASTY over email. She doesn't know what she's talking about, and when asked questions she'll immediately send you to the help desk. She also gave me a zero cause my work wasn't "colorful enough". Drop her class immediately.
As someone who has a coding background, I disliked this class immensely, but the problem was mainly the prof. She docks points for everything. She acts all high and mighty yet seems like she barely knows the topic herself. She is unprepared and furthurmore is so strict to grading any mistake turns into 10+ point reduction for stupid (fixable)things

As someone who already is in the web development field and was taking this course for the credit, it was painful, full of bad practices and she often explains things incorrectly. Do not take her class, it will actively harm your education.

She's a nice person, but not my favorite professor. She doesn't like when people ask questions and makes very passive remarks, expecting the class to know everything. She's really unorganized and she barely lectures and instead makes us follow along while coding, not explaining to us what we're doing.
Don't take her unless you have to.

Honestly was excited for her class but she was super unhelpful and so judgemental made me regret choosing my major. Would go to her for help because tutoring hours were conflicting for me and could only go to her just for her to call my work ugly and belittle me.
