She is really interested in everyone understanding the material. Take good notes, she includes everything in her lectures. She is also very fair. Overall a good experience. I would recommend her.

If you have to take AP take Spencer. I had her for AP2. She's the best overall. Her tests may be a little hard but she gives you quizzes weekly and of course 2 practicals. Her practicals are very fair. If you have questions and need help she doesn't hesitate to help. Take her instead of Bradley!

There are weekly quizzes, however this is extremely helpful. Prof. Spencer is an excellent teacher and is willing to help you when ever you need her. She is awesome!!!

Prof. Spencer is so much fun, and very helpful. She will make you feel like anything is possible. This class is very hard but Spencer makes it worth every minute. Her There is a quiz every 3 days, but it keeps you on your toes. Her tests are all multiple choice. She always has a big smile on her face.

Took her 5wk summer class. She made the class managable. What frustrated me greatly were her tests and quizzes. I was not happy with those at all, as many of the questions were trick questions, w/ too many similar answers to choose from. It ended up bringing down my GPA as a result. But she is very helpful. Study her powerpoints, don't need book.

I absolutely loved her. I took her for anatomy and physiology. She was great. She posted all of her discussion powerpoints online and taught straight from them. She gave out study guides for both lab practicals and held in depth reviews for each. She gives quizzes so that her lecture exams are not the only grades. She is always available for extra help and tells stories in order to help her students remember.

I took Prof.Spencer's A&P I online. It is a very tuff class, with alot of work but Prof. Spencer makes it very possiable to make a good grade. She is the BEST ONLINE TEACHER that I have ever had. She is a hard grader, she follows her syllabus requirements to the T. However, with properly alloted time you can achieve success in her class. Practice exams are good use to prepare for an exam. They will not be visible after taken but they give great example of what the exam will be like. you need to understand chapter concept to ace quizzes

No 2 ways about it. A & P is hard!!!! Prof. Spencer teaches very well. But don't expect not to study. She knows her stuff, is helpful and very patient. She's not out to get you and let's you know exactly what's expected. quizzes are very helpful in prepping for exams. Strongly recommended.

I took A&P I in the 10 week summer semester. Her tests are hard, but if you study and read the Power Points and chapters you'll be fine. Allie had a few essays and discussions, because I took it online, but her grading was easy and fair. Just make sure to follow the schedule and get everything handed in on time and you'll do fine.

Prof Spencer does everything she can to help her students learn and pass her tests. The 'hard' tests are rather easy if you pay attention and study like you should! During lab/lecture time, she practically gives the answers away and gives lots of extra credit! She is a lovely, smart and fun professor with great patience.

Great Professor. Defiantly one of the best at OCC. I would recommend her to people who would take this course seriously. My only problem is her questions were a bit tricky. You really have to study and pick apart her questions to find the answer (Multiple choice and True & False)

I took A&P 2 online with Prof. Pericone and somehow managed to get an A! She is so awesome and helpful you have to be basically brain dead to not do well in this class. The online portion requires a lot of work but you know what is expected and she is not a hard grader. As long as you complete work on time and have half a brain you will do well!

Fantastic professor and a joy in the lab. Really gets you into the activities and finds fun ways to get you to learn. Only had her for lab, can't speak for her lecture skills. Lab is work, very few test (practicals) but gives you a clear study guides of what you need to know to pass. Study, attend class and passing should be no problem.

I took this teacher for online Biology 2. This class was a breeze. Basically, if you do the work you will get full credit, she is not a difficult grader. She grades quickly and responds to emails fast. Would highly recommend.

I took her for both A&Ps & labs, wonderful teacher. The course itself is very hard and i found myself studying at every free minute i had, but i definitely learned the material inside and out. For lec, gives 1 quiz a week, after 3 quizzes, a Unit exam, one extra credit paper. For lab, 2 practicals & thats it. VERY difficult, lots of memorization.

The online A and P class requires a lot of reading and lab work. A lot more than you would in class. You will read the whole book and the exams are multiple choice. There is no guidance as to what to study so be prepared. She is a very understanding teacher and always responded promptly to questions. Hardest and longest class I ever took!

Proff Pericone is a great professor, she explains things very clearly so that it makes sense and its embedded in your head. It is a very hard class, so be prepared to make extra time to study because she gives a quiz on each chapter and then a Unit exam on 3-4 chapters.

This class requires a lot of studying and if you put in the effort, you'll do well. She has a habit of rushing through powerpoints to give quizzes on schedule but all the material is posted. I didn't even buy a textbook for this class.

Professor Pericone was such an amazing teacher! She made anatomy and physiology way easier than most teachers. A&P is hard on it's own and requires some studying however with her lectures the class became easier. She reduced the power points to only the information we needed for the test. She dropped our lowest quiz grade and gave us extra credit.

I have taken Professor Pericone for both A&P 1 and 2. I enjoy her lectures, and her teaching style! I rated a 4 only because of how fast paced her class is, but I have learned so much! Took her for A&P 1 and 2 because her lectures are awesome. She repeats the most important part so it sticks in your memory and gives great examples so it is easier to remember the material. Took Professor Pericone for 2 semesters for A&P1 and 2. I wouldn't have passed with any other professor. Her class is actually entertaining. I enjoyed sitting through her lectures and for lab shes fantastic. Quiz on each chapter once a week. 3 or 4 tests. She loves telling stories from personal experience. I'm going to miss her.

HER LECTURES ARE VERY DISCRIPTIVE. IF SHE REPEATS HERSELF,LISTEN! IT WILL MOST LIKELY BE ON THE QUIZ OR TEST. SHE'S NOT AN EASY A BUT YOU WILL LEARN IF YOU PUT IN THE WORK.

- 4 unit tests (2-3 chapters worth and around 50 questions MC and fill in blank for a few) - homework: short essays but this is a way to boost your grade up and can be easy and interesting as a way to do research - she is super nice! - Her lectures consist of her pre-made videos, the most time she is in lecture via WebEx is 30 min, min is 10 min.

Professor Pericone is an amazing teacher! She makes Anatomy and Physiology understandable. This class was remote due to Covid, and many of the lectures were prerecorded. We also had three research essays. She is very organized and replies to emails right away. The class is difficult but interesting.

Professor Pericone made the fall 2020 semester bearable. She makes sure her students have all the information and tools needed for them to succeed . Of course you have to put the work in with her class, but she is repetitive which helps you to retain the information. Definitely recommend taking her for A&P 1.

Great professor! Easily accessible, answers emails, really cares for students success. Lenient marker- especially with labs and assignments! Half of the exams and all of the quizzes are not proctored. You may need to put in lots of your own time to really study and know the material.

She is by far my favorite professor. I had her this semester for AP1 Lab. She breaks everything down and makes sure you understand the material. There is homework where you label the parts but she does them with you in class and shows you exactly what to study for the exam. Theres 2 exams and the homeworks! She makes it easy and understandable!!

After taking another Professor for AP1, I highly recommend Pericone for AP1 & AP2. Took her for lab and lecture and they went hand in hand, very useful. As she lectures, I wrote notes from the slides and used those to study. Always have ample amount of time to study also. Amazing woman.

Such a great professor for A&P1! She makes her own powerpoints with only the stuff you need to know and provides a bunch of supplemental material on Canvas. Her tests are very doable as long as you study and she usually scales them up by a few points. Definitely recommend taking for lecture and lab because they go hand in hand when she is teaching.

Favorite professor ever. She makes her powerpoints with only relevant information, makes everything easy to understand, and connects it to lab. Anyone who doesn't like her probably didn't study, because if you study, the tests are straightforward. I wish she could teach all of my courses because she makes everything so simple and interesting.

She taught at a very basic level. It is straightforward, simple, and not complicated at all if you know the slides; you know the test (4 m.choice tests). However, I find her a bit unapproachable, and she has a large ego, as mentioned in various reviews. If you're looking for a more warm and friendly professor, I don't suggest her.

Would take this professor again! Great at explaining lectures, PowerPoints are basically her exams, provides extra informational videos and practice quizzes!

Pericone was a great professor. The class can be challenging as it is a lot to know but she has great lectures. Tests ranged from 50 to 80 questions but they are all multiple choice or true/false. She truly wants her students to succeed and does her best for everyone to remember the material.

It's not the first class I have taken with her, and I'm upset that I don't need to take any other classes she teaches because she just clearly explains very complicated topics. Her jokes are a little corny but in a funny way where she's laughing with the students. Overall my favorite professor at OCC.

She is the best A&P professor that I have ever taken at Ocean County College, and she is great at getting information and material across, without stressing you out. LOVE HER

For each lab done, Pericone would have a worksheet to go with it that takes less than 5 minutes to complete which is due the following week. She provides powerpoints that help you review for the exams (2) and gives you a study guide of the exam topics. The labs are fun and I highly recommend this professor if you need to take a bio lab.

Pericone is amazing. She's one of my favorite professors and she really knows what she's talking about! Her lectures are funny and helpful. The class itself is difficult, but Pericone adds lots of simple homework assignments to help her students out. As long as you study the PowerPoints you will pass the exams and the class!

I had Professor Pericone for A&P 1 and 2. She has strong boundaries and she holds her students accountable, which is very admirable. She is very intricate with lectures, she also has a review day before exams. Very lecture heavy, as long as you pay attention and put in the effort, you will succeed in her courses. I highly recommend her courses!

Pericone's lectures are engaging, and she provides helpful study resources on Canvas. Tests are challenging but doable with preparation. unstuck study can complement the class material nicely.

A+P will always be a difficult class to take; however, she broke down tough topics and helped you understand everything. She really cares about her students and wants them to do well. Study throughout the week and take the practice quizzes before taking the exam. I rewrote all the lecture notes either in class or after class which helped.

Very lecture based class. If you are not a strong test taker then her class may not be for you. Will always answer your questions.

Mrs. Pericone is probably the most engaging teacher I have ever taken. I was always excited for her lecture, even in an 8 am class. I took both AP 1 & 2 with her and learned and retained the information. Her tests can be challenging, but if you study her PowerPoints and do practice quizzes you are more than capable of doing well in her class.

First of all, this class was HARD. You have to truly be committed to studying, making flash cards, and constantly reviewing the material. She has her own PowerPoint files which are the basis for her Exams (4 of them @ 60% weight). Sometimes her exam questions can be worded in order to trick you, so beware of that. Very passionate & personable 10/10

Overall was one of my favorite professors. She was very accommodating and wanted her students to pass. She made sure her students would understand the lectures and would go over any questions if anyone had any. I cant wait to take her for anatomy 2 as I have found her very helpful and overall such a good professor.

Took this class online and it was honestly great. Professor Pericone provided extra materials that really helped with the modules, and the labs were super clear and easy to follow. The tests could be tough, but that's just Anatomy, you've got to really know your stuff. Overall, an amazing professor who clearly wants students to succeed.

This was my 3rd time taking the class, I truly believe that if I had taken Professor Pericone the first time, I would have passed the class. She breaks things down in her lectures, and minimizes unnecessary materials. Exams are difficult but that's a given, It is a difficult class in itself, but Professor Pericone lightens the weight!

Very good, clear explanations, is not flexible with grades but still fair.

I overall wish I could have her for every class. I took her for A&P1 for a second time then pass with a B and then knew I had to take her for A&P2 and I don't regret it one bit. She was very accommodating and wanted her students to succeed. I ended with a C but that was because I did not study hard enough for the tests which was my own fault.

Has excellent strategies that help with remembering certain information. She goes through each topic pretty fast, but as long as you're paying attention, you should be solid.

amazing lectures, goes over necessary/main ideas and tests are created based on the powerpoints. very chill and laidback class in itself. taking again for anatomy and physiology 2!
