CMON PEOPLE. this is human anatomy here we're talking about! this class is SUPPOSED to be insane; but Christine made me surprised at how well i understood the material. you need to show up to lecture, or else u'l be lost! Lab usually goes for most of the 3 hour but she is amazingly clear about everything! LOVED her.

Took her for Anatomy and currently have her for Physiology. She's pregnant w/ twins so this is her last semester for a while. Anatomy: just a lot of time to memorize everything. Physio: do study questions & the homework questions to prep for the essay questions on the exam. Mult choice, T or F ?'s. Quiz once a week that really help u stay on task

Very nice teacher. Has a quiz every week which is extremely helpful. Anatomy is a difficult class so it's important to have a good instructor, which she definitely is. Don't take Norris, or Gallardo (especially!) for anatomy at WVC. I really enjoyed her class.

she's a terrible teacher. She teaches everything at a fast pace and without clarity. Word is that you'll be ill-prepared for your future courses. I'm wishing that i knew about this site before enrolling. WV teachers usually rock, but not this one!

LOVED her class, she is one of the few instructors at this school that actually makes science enjoyable. If you don't study for at least 5 hours per day (if this is new material to you), then you will not pass.

Anatomy is a very tough class! lots of memorizing!!I didn't buy the book and I still got an A! just go to class=participation points!Christine is a great teacher-very knowledgeable about the material and she will answer all questions. I recommend the 'coloring'book and printing up the lecture notes before class. lots of cadaver work and dissections

yes, the subject matter takes student effort to master, but a good teacher fosters an environment for her students to do so. Not the case here. Going through the motions doesn't cut it.

I would have to agree with the below negative commentary. Pre-burn out she might have been a decent teacher?? Sarcasm and class favorites are not cool either. I plan to take my "A" and put the experience behind me.

Christine is a nice person overall. She knows what she is talking about, but tends to over talk about subjects and repeats like crazy. She laughs at herself constantly and has "favorites." Her tests/pop quizzes are very hard and challenging, so you definitely have to keep on top of your studying. HARD CLASS!

She has good intentions, but just doesn't have what it takes to teach this sort of subject matter. You will do yourself alot of good if you take another section. A bit late for me to do that unfortunately. I plan to take my A and run as far from this prof as i possible.

She is awesome! She is really organized and knowledgeable. If you go to lecture and lab you only have to study that material and you will do well. Exams are hard but straight forward. I definitely feel prepared. I already have my BS from UC Davis and she is by far one of my best teachers! STUDY and you will do well.

Christine simply loves helping students. She will explain the information to the greatest of her ability, and she will repeat it when necessary. Don't expect graded tests and assignments too quickly because she has two toddlers and a husband with a sleeping disorder, which she doesn't neglect. Please expect to study quite a bit for this class

The actual subject of Human Anatomy is HARD. There is so much info to retain. It's a pretty fast paced course, but Christine is an AMAZING teacher. She does all she can to help us remember the material, and is absolutely hilarious. Love the class. But definitely be prepared to take a break from your social life with all of the necessary studying!

I like her fill in the blank lecture handouts. It allows more time to listen and absorb information, instead of having to write down everything. Tests are based on those handouts.

walking in to Stanton's first lecture i could tell it was going to be a hard but extremely interesting semester. I learned so incredibly much from this teacher seriously she is so passionate about what she teaches. I 100% recommend taking her class even though she makes you work hard- I had no idea so much information could fit in my brain

Christine is by far the best teacher at West Valley! I had her for anatomy and physiology, so of course the lectures are going to be heavy bc they are not easy subjects. But, she is very thorough, providing lots of videos and personal experiences to help understand the material better. Answer the study questions at the end of lecture outlines!

She kept the class interesting bringing in her own outside knowledge on the material covered in class. She would not waste a minute of lecture which consisted of slides. All material is online so if you miss a class you can easily recover material. Easy class especially if you already know the basics of biology.

Professor Stantan's BIO047 class is a great choice. She uses helpful lecture handouts, and her thorough teaching style makes the challenging material more manageable. Attending class and using resources like Unstuck ai can really pay off.
