Very good professor. She gives a LOT of work, though, and sometimes you get the feeling that it's busy work just for the sake of busy work. But overall, you learn a lot in the class, and I'm glad I have her for bio.

The BEST Bio Professor ever! she's brilliant.she does her best to assure that all the students understand concepts.gives a good amount of work but its all very helpful. the quizzes helped force me to study every week so i never had to cram for the exams. she summarizes all of the chapters in powerpoints and puts them on blackboard. shes the bomb!

i think this is the greatest professor at BMCC. shes extremely clear extremely helpful. alot of work and alott of quizzes and studying.But you learn a wholeee lot and it actually sticks after the class. great class and great teacher. definitely taking bio 220 w/ her

Wonderful professor. She really know her stuff. I didn't have to cram at the last minute because she make you work for her class. She give a lot of work and there are test every week. I sometime complain about all the work but it help and make you understand the material better.

Prof. Priano is amazing. I took her for BIO 210 and 220. I did not have the chance to take her for anatomy but I would have. She gives weekly quizes which helps you study and her tests are not hard if you take the time to study. She is very helpful. I really enjoyed her class.

Good professor. Gives plenty homework and quizzes which force you to study often. Unlike many professors, she's better than the textbook. Her lectures are straightforward and clear, making complex topics easy to understand. She's also a good lab instructor, though very strict (especially about cleanliness.) I strongly recommend this professor.

Dr. Priano is by far the best professor that I have ever had!! She truly has a gift for teaching and her clarity and attention to detail and to her students is second to none. I absorbed nearly 700 pages of the text with her help.

I had to take this class once a week on a saturday from 9 AM TO 4 PM and mind you I am a freshman in college. This isn't an easy class but shes amazing. I learned a lot from her and she explains anything you don't understand. Best professor I had all semester!!! TAKE HER !!!

She is clear and concise, but do not expect an easy A. She gives out a LOT of homework, some of which will make you wonder its necessity. She does not give breaks (to which we are entitle, after all). Expect to study a lot as well!

I took a saturday class 9-12 + 1-4 and i couldnt chose better. She is amazing. Clear and very helpful. If you do the reading, come to class and do the homework you will have a good grade. There is a lot of homework, but if you do it you dont have to study later, thats what i did and ending up with A. Hope she will teach 220 on Saturday too!!!

I really really enjoyed this class. There's a lot of homework & a quiz a week, BUT A&P 1 & 2 are info intensive & keeping up with her quizzes kept me on the right reading &up to speed. She frequently does diagrams on the board. Memorize those and you will prob have an essay question for the test down. She is very engaging in class and knowledgable.

Fantastic professor who is very clear about what she expects. Does keep you on your toes and wants you to do your part (reading, heavy studying etc.) so expect to do a lot of work and to pay attention to everything she says. She keeps it interesting and is always able to answer questions clearly and wisely. 100% recommend for nonlazy students.

She one of the best teachers at bmcc u just need to read alot and keep tracking materials b/c there are quizes everyday and homework like the mastering biology which i hated so much but if u want to learn go for her she is the best

Very good professor who lectures clearly and enthusiastically. The lab portion of the class was tedious and exhausting. A fair grader who clearly cares very much about her students and is passionate about her subject.

Very good professor, one of the best in the school. Gives you a big workload, but it is in your best interests, especially if you are transferring. Read the chapters on your own and takes notes on them, pay attention to lectures, prepare for lab and do the home works and you shouldn't have a problem. Highly recommend.

Really amazing teacher. She cares about her students and gives you help if needed. you must put your part in this class Biology is not an easy subject but if you attend all her lectures it becomes easy.

She is the best. I had Bio 1 with her and am taking her for Bio 2. Lectures are clear, she tells you exactly what you have to do to get an A. And I got one. But you have to spend a lot of time studying. Quizzes and tests all the time. But totally worth it.

This professor is amazing. I asked myself if she is not a doctor at a hospital or something. I took Bio 426 in summer 2014 and even though we did 14 chapters in that short time, I was able to learn a lot. How heart function in detail, how some diseases develop in our body and many more. She is just. I was hoping that she teach Bio 420....

Professor Christine Priano is really professor from the God! She is very nice person! She helps a lot to the student to understand material! Her lectures are amazing! Everything is logical and clear! I love her!

Dr. Priano is the gold standard of professors. She is not only an expert, but she has incredible skill at engaging the students so they actually participate and LEARN. She's not interested in whether or not you can regurgitate facts, rather she takes the time to ensure knowledge of concepts. If you fail, you are responsible, not the instructor.

You need to read the book to get and A in the class. Don't just go through the slides. I read the book three times each chapter to really understand and memorize everything. If you do this the exams are easy. You do not get to leave early or get time off from lab. This is a very time consuming and very interesting class. study everyday from day one

Took her for A&P 2 and she really made me fall in love with science. she teaches you the material for real. If you are serious about your future, take her and be committed to her ways. You will not only pass; you will WIN

If you're planning on pursuing a bachelor's degree, Professor Priano's biology class is a great way to get a taste of what university feels like. Her classes are centered towards motivated students and if that's you, definitely take her class. You learn a lot from her class and she works really hard to explain concepts to you. 10/10 would recommend

This isnt an easy class overall but she really knows how to teach it to get it in your brain. Shes very strict in lab about clothing and drinks but she doesnt kick you out she asks you to use paper to cover ankles or etc. I didnt do so well in the class but I was really trying my hardest and I think she cut me some slack. 5 tests and daily quiz

Dr. Priano is a top-tier professor meaning her lecture quality is what one could expect from a senior college. She is not the type who will hold your hand like may do at a community college. She teaches very well. By taking her, you will learn, only if willing. Otherwise you will fail. This is a class for those who are SERIOUS about the subject.

Always willing to answer your questions during class, even if it's unrelated. She's hilarious without even trying so you won't be that bored! Her review sheets for the exams are actually related to the questions that she asks on it. They usually consist of 40 multiple choice, a few short answers, and a short essay. Take her if you want to learn!

She is a very nice and helpful professor. But not easy Bio220 is not an easy class. If you want to pass this class you have to read the text book and analyse the topics. Word quizzes ,lab test , lab final, 5 tests lowest will be dropped. 80% multiple choice 20 written research paper mandatory and hardest

i had professor priano for bio 210 and 220. even though i fulfilled my writing intensive requirement, i didn't care cause i wanted to take her again! that's how amazing she is. granted, there's a lot of work but the semester flies by. she'll put a smiley face on your test if you get above a 90. even though she's tiny, she's tough. watch out!

I love Dr. P so much! Took her for Bio 210 & 220. When the semester ended, I felt happy to be done but incredibly sad as she is someone I look up to and loved learning from. I am incredibly lucky to have had her as my professor. Incredibly smart and caring with a tough exterior. She is the real deal. She prepares & teaches you well for your future.

I took professor Priano for my Bio 220 class and learned a lot from her. She is a professor that engages you into a discussion by asking questions, why, what during the lecture time. She activates your mind to think, to become interested. We had every class Quiz and it was a great way of her to make sure we study her materials, keeping us on track.

Priano is a real gem at BMCC. She is though but B in her class is better than A in other. What you learn from her, you will never forget. I am at Hunter right now, but will take e-permit for my elective courses to be in her class I hope. Throughout her lectures she engages your mind to participate to be curios and ask the questions. Best of all!

By far the best science professor at BMCC. There is a lot of material to cover, but her lectures make the science of it so relatable. She makes it a priority to ensure each student understands the concepts before leaving lab. She gives tons of extra credit. Only way to fail is by not trying! Dr. P is amazing! She teaches at a 4 yr level. I see reviews people complaining. YOU'RE IN COLLEGE! If you can't handle Dr. P, then once you leave a 2 yr, you're doomed! She is one of the best you will find for Bio. Want an easy course? Rethink your major. It only gets harder after her. She prepares you well! I got into a private school bc of her.

Textbook required with accompanying online assessment on chapters which really helps understand the chapters. Her lectures are amazingly well put and you could tell she understands the material. She gives you a weekly sheet for reminders on what you need to do and the words to study for the quiz. Really awesome 10/10, just read the chapters.

Professor Priano shows some serious tough love. She is rough and tough and reminds me of the old school new york mother i never had. Dont slack, she will not put up with it. Inspiring and influential, she will prepare you for your future. Study study study. Draw pictures!!

Her lectures are interesting and clear, and her labs are fun! But her class is also very difficult. Lots of quizzes and tests that you have to think hard for the answers. You have to study both the slides and textbooks. It is not an easy course, but she really puts you to learn and makes you love biology. She is an outstanding professor.

I was going to drop this class after the first quiz, not straight questions, have to think hard. It is an impossible task to finish all within 7 weeks! But I did it, an A! I have a full-time job, no time to read textbook, so what I did is to understand the concepts on the slides, do the lab book, and participate in class. She is the best one!

I am very glad to be a part of Prof. Priano's class but it was unfortunate that the class and lab were cut short due to covid. She is a very passionate and strict professor that gives out very detailed and organized handouts/notes from the beginning of class. She is one of those prof. that will show you how a 4 year college is like. Study hard!

Professor Priano is amazing! Get ready to read, make notes, drawings (it helps a lot), and take quizzes. Even though the quizzes are weekly, it helps a lot for the tests. Participation matters, and she also will create something for extra credit. This is college, so she gets you ready for it. Being lazy is not an option. She is an amazing professor

Finishing up my BS in Biology at a jesuit university in the west coast. Why am I writing on Dr. P in the east coast? She made me fall in love with bio. She is the best professor I have ever had. Started out at BMCC and now at an amazing school. She belongs at a private college that charges $$$$ not at BMCC. Be thankful you have her. She is missed!!

I have taken quite a few courses during COVID, with a few really bad professor experiences. Prof Priano was the exception, a gem of my COVID experience. She really made the online classroom feel just like it would in person. Show up to class, study her slides, do the homework assignments, and you shouldn't have a problem! Incredibly fair tests.

Excellent and passionate professor! She very much values class participation, so make sure you show up to every class and participate. In my opinion, the tests were extremely challenging, perhaps to thwart possible cheating students might attempt in an online course setting. Know the overall concepts and do not just bother memorizing definitions.

Professor Priano is one of the best professors I have ever had. I wish I had taken her for BIO 425 as well. Her lectures are so engaging and interesting that the time flew by! Almost all of her exam comes straight from her lectures- so be sure to take notes on everything! I did a summer course and I learned so much- loved it!

Her lecture gives important points for the exam. If you give attention in class you can do it very well. And I did good in BIO 425 and expecting do good in BIO 426 as well. Best Professor.

where do i begin. this course within itself is very diffiicult, she dont make it any easier on students. she is very good lecturer, but very stringent. does not curve, but provides extra credit. if you take ap1 with her, make sure you are a good student who has good study habits because her exams are very detailed.

Take her class, I do not understand the negative reviews. She provides a study guide before exams and explains the lecture material very well. Her exams are not easy, but if you read the chapter and understand the bullet points from the study sheet, you can do amazingly well in this class. She gives extra credit in the form of small pop quizzes.

Professor Priano is terrific. She really cares about students and wants them to succeed. I learned so much from her class and I wish more professors were like her.

I'm now in a nursing program thanks to Professor Priano. She expects you to show up and take the course seriously. If you want to be a health care professional, take her class. She is very knowledgeable, works hard to make sure that you understand the material, and treats people with respect. I'm glad that I was lucky enough to be in her class.

I'm here to defend her against bad reviews. I took BIO425 and BIO426, and as english is my 2nd language, I still found her excellent. Her tests are detailed and require effort, but if you're serious and pay attention enough, you'll get an A, not an easy A, but a well-deserved one with real knowledge.
