Maybe 1B material is harder than 1A. I found the 1A class to be super easy and she is a sweet lady and very clear and listens to what you have to say. If you have good english skills and aren't an ESL student, it is smooth sailing.

Both classes were easy, just a lot of work, but as long as you show up, turn in all the work on time, and read all the assignments, participate, you'll do fine!

She is a hard teacher but if you are there and do the work you will pass and you will also learn a lot. She is a GREAT TEACHER. I would take her again anytime!

She is a very awesome teacher. She gives out alot of homework but it is very easy. Her class is not an easy class but she is the easiest grader in all of the english dept. I recommend taking her if you are an english major. She is very helpful in anything.

She is a good teacher, however she does give a lot of essays and homeworks to do. They are not hard, but they take up all your time. You don't have time to do other h.w. bc you're too busy doing hers. Got an "A". If you're lazy don't take her.

Easily far and away the best English course I've ever taken. It requires time and work but I learned much more about writing and creativity in this course than I expected. And I found Mrs. Ritz approachable and helpful as well.

Really hard class. Pretty much get an essay everyday, plus homework, plus reading the book. A lot of bs assignements! Need to work really hard to get a good grade. This class is not english but essay!

she is a good teacher but assigns an abundant amount of work. just make sure you read everything, do all the homework, and essay and you'll be fine. oh ya and always be on time

OMG!!! I cannot stretch this far enough, but this was the hardest class I ever took in college. You have to work your ass off to get a B, Im not even going to talk aobut getting an A. She is a very hard and is strict grader. If you want to constantly write essays (pretty much every calss day) then take her! (Ill be amazed if you do)

Mrs. Ritz...There is A LOT of work that goes into your essays! There is a bunch of homework, and then at the very end of the semester, she loads EVERYTHING on you. Take this class if you want to stress out LIKE CRAZY! Overall though, she really really helped my writing, and I'm very glad that I took her. By the way...Don't Expect to get an A.

She assigns a lot of work but that's not a bad thing because most of the work is pretty easy. I got a good grade so I highly recommend her.

I like her teaching style. She makes sure the class understands the work. The assignments are intersting and you always have choices.

Mrs. Ritz is very particular and very strict in her grading. Alot of writing and LITTLE ROOM for error. I felt alot of the specifics that she really pushed should have been stressed more in 1A. She expects EXACTLY what she asks for and has a preference in a specific style. Not an easy class and VERY consuming.

She teaches clearly & carefully. She's willing to answer or help you whenever you need. You're expected to work hard & carefully in her class & to write essays almost every day, which is, in fact, pretty helpful since you attend this class to learn how to write effectively. There is only one huge flaw: she's truly a hard grader.

Christine is a tough teacher. I do not regreat taking her class. I've learned a lot about writting thanks to Christine. She is tough, but very well worth it!!

She's tough and picky. If you like following directions step-by-step, then take her. I had little time for my other 3 classes, but her class was worth it. After taking her, you really can write the most amazing essays! Just follow her directions EXACTLY as she says, and you'll do fine. I got an A in that class,& Eng is not even my 1st language!

Mrs. Ritz is the best teacher I have had at Mission. She gives a lot of work, but it's not all that hard. She leaves enough comments on your papers to let you know what to do right the next time. I never got below a 90% on any of my work, and I think I did a bad job on some of the papers I did. If you really want to write better, take her class.

Although she is strict, I find she is really helpful to student. After studying in her class, I believe that my writing skill has been improved a lot. Sometimes, I feel tired of her requirements, but it is OK overall. Anyway, I just take credit this class, so getting a B is OK for me. Never mind!

Extremely helpful. You'll learn a lot from her lectures. She's a hard grader but really nice and willing to help if you have any problem. Show up to class, do the homework and assignments, turn them in on time then you'll be in good shape.

If you do not like doing tedious, unnecessary work and you write crappy essays then FORGET THIS CLASS! There is no way you'll pass. There is HW from long readings daily. Editing essays are a big deal; she makes you do LOTS of paperwork just to edit. She wants her own format on essay writing. I am good in English, got an A, but have to work hard.

This teacher is not hard, but she is not easy either. I am good at english, so for me it was easy. You do write a lot of essays, but she helps you through them. I think she is an excellent teacher. I actually learned a few things being in this class. If you at an okay level in english you should take this class it will improve your skills

Hard to get an A. But still good teacher. Spent most of our time proof-reading. Clarifies any question you need. LATE HOMEWORK is unacceptable for her. We are required to read the essays in the textbook and do the exercises. Expected to be bad based on reviews, but I was wrong. She wasn't bad at all, matter of fact, a good teacher nonetheless.

This teacher, is very organizes, goes straight to the point and never off topic. class goes by fast because she constantly has you doing or focusing on something.

SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE ENGLISH PROFESSORS I HAD A MISSION COLLEGE. SHE IS ORGANZIED, AND NO SHE DOES NOT PLAY FAVORITE, HOWEVER, SHE IS NOT THE EASIEST TEACHER. Most people give Ritz a hard time for how she teaches but she lays everything out for you and tells you how she wants things done, there is weekly homework, essays, and in class essay. This is no easy A class but she does help you become a better writer if you ask for the help.

Took her for eng 908 and she is a pretty chill teacher. all her work is very easy especially the homework. lots of essays but there easy also. the last weeks of school you just turn in essays and thats it. lets you leave early after finishing class work! definitely would take another class from her.

Absolutely one of the best english teachers at Mission College she is not easy but if your a good writer this class is a peace of cake. There are a lot of homework assignments but what I like a bout her is that she is very organized and is clear on what she wants on essays and exclisively the research paper. She is very nice and alwayswillingtohelp

She lays out everything for you and gives you guidelines on how to write essays. There are 5 in class essays and 3 out of class essays. If you come to her in office hours she will help you. Don't be scared to ask any questions. She really does help you improve a lot!

Very organized teacher. Write many essays through out semester. I took a Writing Skills Test (WST) and found out that her class helps you to pass WST when you transfer to CSU. You will have something due before every meeting, and have something to do every meeting. She gives a helpful guild line to write essays.

She expects you to work hard. If you do, you will be fine and get an "A" or a "B". She grades students not too easily but also not too hard. She can ignore some of your minor errors unless you accumulate them in a whole page.

Awesome professor, her assignments are very easy because she outlines them and gives many examples. NOt an easy class but if you work hard by the end of the semester it will be an easy clas.

Professor Ritz is awesome. Very helpful and easy assignments. Anyone who says she is a tough teacher and not helpful whatsoever is a lazy student. She is always happy to help and always emailed me back within 30 mins of when I sent it. She has her students do a lot of group work so that we are all comfortable with each other. Very considerate too.

Mrs. Ritz is the best English teacher I have ever had. You do what a good student should do and you will earn it. Read her Syllabus and ask questions, pay attention since day 1, finish all assignments on time, and BE AN ACTIVE LEARNER in class.It's not too hard, you have to be willing to try your best. She will SEE all that from you. I LOVE HER.

Ritz gives good feedback on all of the essays that you do in this class. There are only two sets of three reading journals in this class and they are pretty easy.

Ritz is a sweetheart! Show up to her class as much as you can, she will see that you're trying and will help you. Very friendly and gives wonderful feedback on your essay. Has these practice portfolio assignments that helps you for the real one. I highly recommend Ritz if you are not lazy and want to become a better writer/reader.

Ritz is a good teacher . Willing to help you after class or office hours . She gives you three portfolio practice which helps you on the real portfolio . Just make sure to do your homework because she doesn't except any late work . She doesn't let you turn in late reading journals which qualifies you to submit a portfolio .

As long as you put in effort you will pass the class. It's a lot of homework but it's a college course so pretty typical. Make sure to thoroughly read the books because I hate reading so I skim read and that hurt me in the beginning. I actually read the books and the class became much easier. Nice professor that will actually help you.

Ritz is a professor who goes the distance to make sure you understand the material. Don't be afraid to talk to her about any issue you have with your paper, she'll assist you any way she can. There's a lot of homework, lots of in-class writing, and plenty of essays. Don't sweat on missing a few homework assignments, the essays are worth a lot more.

Professor Ritz is caring and she does give a lot of homework but as long as you follow the syllabus and turn everything in on time she will be reasonable. She grades all the papers promptly and gives feedback on all of them.

English is my second language and always worried about my writing. She was very specific on corrections and mostly will give you full credits, as long as your making an effort. Definitely will take it again!

I've noticed she can't stop smiling lol. She makes you write essays every single class. Most of the homework is also writing essays but she is very nice :) YOU HAVE TO ATTEND CLASS OTHERWISE YOU WILL FAIL
