Good course, F01 midterm was easy, but F01 final was a tad challenging.

okay lectures are great, but the material on the exams is soo hard and not what was talked about in class at all. its actually a lot of work but the lecturesa re interesting. she loves cats, dogs and her son's gene's! but she talks with her eyes closed

Very clear in lectures. If you are good at fairly simple math and problem solving, you won't have a problem with this class.

Very helpful.. Likes cat examples a little too much tho! Makes the lectures interesting. Only complaint is she needs to slow down a little bit.

Very helpful! She is always available to help!! She is very patient and makes genetics interesting! Her exams are fair if you study and she gives lots of time for assignments!

I just love her! She loves what she talks about, knows what she talks about and it shows. Her lectures are very organized and she makes genetics easy to understand (even for us BA students!). Midterm is fair, just study. Love her!

Can you please teach all of MBG 2000 not just half of it? The class got really boring after we got the new prof at midterm! One of my favorite profs so far.

Her lectures are very interesting, but they basically have nothing to do with exam material. Just do the workbook and don't go to class.

She was a superb prof who was enthiastic about material and taught it in a manner wonderfully suited for us students. Keep up with tutorials and you'll be fine. An excellent course!

I think she is a great teacher. She knows what she is talking about and you can tell she enjoys the subject. I believe she is a fair prof since there was a question which could have been misread, so she took it off the midterm.

not lenient or understanding in any way shape or form... if she says to walk 2cm then you WALK 2CM...

Interesting lectures, good notes - overall one of my favourite profs

Is a VERY good lecturer, and uses all sorts of examples to explain the material and make it more interesting. That being said, you can learn most of what you need to know for the exam just from the tutorial book.

LOVED this woman. She is enthusiastic about her lecture material and presents it in a clear, straightforward manner that is SO easy to understand.

She's an interesting prof. She teaches fairly well and fairly clearly. If you can imagine, she sounds remarkably like Stewart's mom from MadTV. Not that it's a bad thing, just prepare to chuckle the first time she talks about somthing with enthusiasm.

Awesome!! -- one of the clearest, well spoken, fair professors I've had so far here at Guelph. Incredibly helpful (tons of opportunities outside of class to ask questions) and everything she stresses in class is tested on--refreshing! The tutorial book for the class is very consistent with exam material. Keep up with the work and you'll do fine!

Very good professor. The course is setup well. The only thing is that the material is not simple, but everything else about the course and professor is good.

I love this prof. i havent had one of her exams yet so i cant rate her on that, but she is sooo organized and it makes it really easy to learn. go to the tutorials, and have the questions done, they really help aswell.

I LOVE PROF SCHISLER!! What a wonderful professor. Not only does she know her material she knows how to convey it to students! Clear speaker....willing to help and very friendly if you make the effort. Enjoyed her class so much I attended both lecture times. Fair for Midterm...Just know your stuff. Amazing person!

Such an interesting prof!! Really nice and soo helpful, makes time for you even if she's late to something else! People who complain about her don't go see her for help, she makes things clear, is super interesting (even though lecture material isn't really on the exams), and just a great prof all around! enthusiastic about the material too!

Schisler is just one of those interesting individuals you stumble upon in life. She is without a doubt an exceptioinal prof! Very clear and if you just do the work book ...the exams are the same. Read them carefully though, as she likes to be tricky with words. She speaks with her eyes closed when you talk to her 1 on 1 too haha. She is amazing!

One of the best professors at the University. Clear speaker and teacher, very friendly and helpful one on one, makes lectures interesting, good availability outside of lectures, I learned a lot from her class.

Great professor. Obviously very organized, the workbook is great too! Midterms are VERY fair, if you do all her online quizes and actually KNOW the material, you'll be fine.

She is wonderful! I loved this course. The workbook sums were specially fun to do. She is a really nice lady.

Here is the deal with Schisler - she is very competent and DOES care about her students. She just expects you to do the work and put in effort. She doesn't put up lecture notes so that students actually come to class. Learn to write fast and do the work in the workbook. Give her a chance, she's actually pretty great. Talk to her and you'll see.

Christine is among the best professors I have ever studied under. Concise, well-timed, interesting lectures and fun workbook. Really nice teacher!

Yay Schisler

Ms. Schisler is a great prof! I'm devastated she only teaches half the course, I've enjoyed it so much. Something blew my mind in her class every day. She's witty and funny at times. We had one class where we talked about the Elephant man and his genetic disorders and you could hear a pin drop, everyone was captivated.

Excellent professor. Had very clear notes. Midterm was challenging but fair, most questions were similar to those in the tutorials or on the quizzes in courselink. Was warned that the class had a high fail rate but if you do the online quizzes and go to lecture it is quite simple

GREAT PROF. Some people said they didn't like her, but those were the people who didn't pay attention or put in an honest effort in their assignments. Do your assignments and it is a straight forward course. I wish she was around the whole semester, she is one of the best profs I've had here thus far.

I think she is a fantastic prof, you have to go to her lecture to understand but she makes it easy to pay attention in class. Find that material very interest and find she explains things in a way that make it easy for you to understand.

Dr. Schisler is probably the best prof I have had here at Guelph. She is extremely passionate about what she does & you can tell that she wants everyone in her class to understand and do well. I learn something new every time I attend her class. I really hope she can see this comment so that she knows that she makes a difference & does her job well

Professor Schisler is my favourite. She is extremely clear and enthusiastic during lecture and incredibly helpful during her office hours. She makes herself very available through the semester for extra help. It's not an easy course, but she definitely provides strategies that allow students to succeed.

Amazing at explaining concepts in class. notes are very clear. made me love genetics and she was the only reason i understand pedigrees

Awesome prof, really nice and very approachable! She's great at explaining things and her lecture notes are excellent. Probably one of my favourite profs ever! I found the course really difficult (I am not a huge fan of genetics) but I actually enjoyed going to her lectures.

MBG 2040 is a hard course but the way she teaches is REALLY GOOD!!! she explains everything and willing to help students. One of my favourite profs!!!

Amazing prof! She explained everything so well that even the more complicated concepts were crystal clear and maintained my attention for the entire lecture. She really knows her stuff, and makes herself available almost every day for office hours.

Schisler is awesome. Her notes outline concepts step-by-step. She is super helpful and genuinely cares about her students. The material is not that challenging, but it is very easy to be fooled on the midterm. Make sure you know your way around the trick type questions.

She explains things super clearly and knows her material inside and out. You cannot leave the class and not understand the content. However it's a good idea to go to SLG's to get some practise with the material.

Amazing professor. Her jokes are kind of corny but definitely funny...i remember she made a comment once about a guide dog in class that fell asleep it was adorable! She's extremely clear and the midterm is fair albeit a wee bit tricky. Really nice outside of class, and seriously knows her stuff. Do the tutorial questions and you'll be golden.

Funny, very dry satirical humor made her fun to listen to. However, she is kind of mean in person and not the most helpful. Maybe its just her personality. the course material is also quite difficult, but the SLGs really help with it. Also try and get your hands on an old midterm, that will really help.

She's a great prof. Loved her lectures and she really made genetics fun and easy to understand.
