Easy to look at! Lots of notes.thought provoking class

I loved Christines class. She did put the notes on the Internet but it was only becuase the class begged her to do it. If you came to class and listened you can learn a lot. This is the first class I have ever taken where it changed how I think.Awesome

She is awesome. Her class is fun and interesting. no homework just group presentations and individual presentations. no test or quiz. if i have to take another class with her, i would. let's you choose your own topic for your speeches.

WOW! What a chnage of pace. I think this is the only broadcasting teacher that actually knows something about broadcasting. I took Zola last semester and learned NOTHING! This professor REALLY knows her stuff and makes it fun to learn it.Very Cool.

She is such an awesome professor. She is super nice and gives extensions on papers. She really knows her stuff very well. If you are a COM major you need to take her. She is just awesome.

Christine was a very good teacher. I had her for Public Speaking. She is very laid back and a good teacher. I like the fact that she is younger so we can relate to her. I plan on taking Com 285 and Com 301 with her because she is the bomb professor. Cudos to Christin!!!!

She is very smart and her class is thought provoking. She is very understanding and willing to take the extra step if you are having trouble understanding the material. She is easy to relate to, fun to talk to, and very laid back. I dont think she has the ability to get angry. I LOVE her!

She is amazing. I ahve taken her for Public Speaking, Broadcasting, Persuasion and Mass Media. She is SOOO young, but she is really really smart. IShe challenges the status quo and challenged my way of thinking. I feel like I know more about the world, and myself. She's by far the best professor at OU (I should know Im a senior!)

This class is very easy, almost to easy for a 300 level class. If you are looking for a quick and easy 4.0 this would be it. Just do all of your work and attend class and you'll be fine. Even though it is easy I still learned alot, very discussion based. She challenges the everyday norms and the way people think.

She was a cool professor- great class. Only one warning: she doesn't like it when people use cell phones, especially if you get up and leave class to talk!

Christine is great as a professor and an advisor at the radio station wxou, she cares about her students and wants them to thrive. Great Professor. No Cell phones in class however using the text messages is out to!

I loved this class. Christine is a great prof and this class was fun.

She lecture too much. Too many notes...mu hands were hurting. She shows some awesome visual like advertsiments and videos. I like the class project we had to do but was not a big fan of the final paper. Overall she was a ok professor. I don't have doubts about telling people to take her class.

She practically gives you the whole test before you take it. I only went once a week (if that) and aced the class. She is really cool and knows what she is talking about.

Really nice teacher. Her assigments are very easy and clear. Her class is really laid back and fun. But the only down fault is that sometimes she gives a lot of notes. You don't have to come to class and you'll still pass.

This class was great. The prof was cool, fun sense of humor. She can keep your attention. Very good at making things make sense. Don't thinks she's a fan of lazy students, she wants everyone there to be there to learn and she makes that known. Tests are easy to pass.

She is my favorite prof. Probly the best in the university. She is very helpful and clear. She really knows her stuff and makes learning fun. Her best quality is her chilled out attitude. Most relaxed person ever. I cant imagine her ever getting angry or stressed out. Very recomended.

I have had many classes with Christine shes great. Not only are her classes fun but you actually learn, and shes fair. I would recommend any com major to take as many classes with her as possible.

This class is deceptive. The tests are super hard but the review sheets are all of the questios. Laid back personality but sticks to the syllabus. I thought I wasn't going to get my grade reduced because she seemed so nice, but my she docked my grade anyway. Will not remind you if you are in attendance hot water. She checks for plagiarism too.

I took two communication classes 285 and 371. I wished I took more. She is easy if you come to class. Shes more concern on lecture than anything. For 285 the test are easy b/c she'll hand you a review sheet. The papers for both are easy if you just pay attention. The presentations are fun.The 371 was fun because it was mostly discussion :-)

Christine was awesome. She's really helpful, and her class was very enjoyable. She has a great sense of humor, and uses real life examples to help you learn the concepts. 2 tests, a group project, and a final paper are the only assignments. Study guides for the tests are the actual tests! I would definitely take Christine again.

Professor Stover is a wonderful teacher. She is clear and helpul but she is really energetic and funny. Sometimes I feel like I am watching intelligent stand-up. She really knows her stuff but her humor and wit make the class a lot of fun. I have learned so much in here and have a better perspective on so many things. Highly recommended

Christine really opened my eyes to the world of media and its effects. This class was not only interesting, but it was a breeze. No tests!!! Only a current event, oral presentation, final paper and participation. Make sure to take Christine at least once if you're a Communication major. Great class!

Fun and interesting professor that makes for a fun and interesting class. Lots of discussion/opinions. Very open and nice willing to help outside of class reasonable grader assignments weren't hard and some were even fun. Take her if you can don't buy the book. If you miss so many classes you fail. Class was a lot of fun and she was very helpful. You do have to go to class and pay attention. She write notes on the board so be prepared. She was very easy to talk to and you can tell is very passionate about what she does. I really enjoyed her class and would take her again.

There is nothing bad I can say about her. She is fair, organized, current, passionate, interesting, thoughtful, fun, funny, courteous, respectful, honest, open, approachable, available, easy-going, self-less. I learned so much in Persuasion- and I am better for knowing Christine.

Easily one of the BEST professors at OU! She is GREAT! Hilarious, educated, and passionate about the subject. Test reviews are the actual test- so do them and you'll do well! One group project. Extremely interesting real-life examples and GREAT group discussions! She really encourages you to speak your mind! FAVORITE professor so far!

Christine is really nice and always willing to help. We never used the textbook. Gives review sheets which are very helpful. 2 take home tests, 2 in class tests. I hope to have Christine again.

Literally one of the coolest professors at OU. TB use is minimal if you take good notes from her. 1st exam easy if you study, all the rest are open book at home essays or assignments. Didnt give quizes. She was very helpful if you needed. Her personality made the class very interesting and fun. If ur a good note taker, dont bother buying the text.

Christine is funny, laid back, and will keep your attention. Her notes and study guides are extremely helpful, and most of the class is really interesting. My only complaint is I felt she didn't make an effort to get to know her students, and didn't thoroughly provide feedback on take-home essay exams. Take her!! Anyone will love her

She was probably the BEST professor I had at Oakland. She is hilarious, yet informative. I enjoyed learning the subject matter and thoroughly enjoyed her lectures. She's also very organized and approachable. DEFINITELY would recommend her!

Christine is an awesome teacher. Our class had a lot of fun and she is very involved in the broadcast world. The first and last exams are take-home and you'll get a study guide for every test. This is my second class with her and she rocks. Take her!

COM 301 with Christine is great! She is very passionate and truly knows persuasion! Ever class is supplemented with video clips, cartoons, and / or images. Her style of teaching is great as it’s not just boring lectures. She is a great person and it is a great class!

Group Analysis project in which you analyze persuasion within a website, speech, or graphic. Midterm exam and final exam as well as a final critique where you analyze anything of your choosing (speech, movie, ect) for persuasion applying and using a persuasion theory or theories.

Phenomenal class and phenomenal professor! Take this course with Christine and you will not regret it! Exam reviews are the exam questions! She truly wants her students to succeed! Answers any and all questions with great clarity! One of OU's best professors!

Christine is awesome! I had her in Fall 2014. There are 3 papers and 3 exams. The study guides are the exact questions of the test (from the book) and the papers are easy. Her lectures are straight forward and understandable. She is extremely nice, funny, and helpful. I would recommend her for any class. We only used the book for exams and papers.

Stover has passion and knowledge that come together to make one awesome class. Each class she brings current examples to apply concepts to and there is always something different happening. She makes you want to go to class. Easy A - she makes sure everyone understands the content and doesn't have the book teach you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

She's great! Gives you study guides for the exams and has a review day to answer any questions on the guide. As long as you study that you're solid. 1 group project and 1 paper, along with two exams. As long as you follow the rubrics you'll do great, she's easy going and will answer any questions you may have

Christine is a hilarious and very chill professor! She acts like our age and can talk about absolutely anything! The grading scale for this class is a little absurd though, a 90% is a 3.5 so that's the only thing I wasn't a fan of. Prepare, be confident, eye contact and you'll ace the class!

Love Prof Stover. Easy class and assignments. The study guide she gives are the exact same as the tests and all the answers are word for word in the book. 3 papers for the semester. Very easy and she will proof read papers before you turn them in so you can get a good grade.

I love professor Stover! I have had her twice and she is my absolute favorite. She is so understanding and unlike my other classes, she makes the lectures interesting and doesn't put too much work on us at once. I think Christine is great, I had her for intro to com and this semester was persuasion but either way she's great. She's really understanding when it comes to feedback and if you need help on something she completely understands. She does take attendance and there's a lot of lecturing, but the class isn't too hard at all.

Prof Stover is one of my all time favorite profs at OU. This is my second time taking her and she is awesome! She really cares about her students, especially during weird times, like ya know, a global pandemic. She understands that times are tough right now and really did her best to make the rest of our semester good! TAKE HER!!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed Christine's class. She is very easy going and the assignments are quick and painless. They lectures were boring sometimes but other than that I have no complaints.

This class had a really great environment and Professor Stover makes your public speaking experience very positive. The workload is very light and class often is cut short, and you do not always need to attend. I would 100% take this professor again!

Mrs. Stover is the best. I had her for Public Speaking 2000 and she was great! She gives lots of time to work on and memorize speeches as well as give good advice for speaking in front of a crowd. Every assignment had good detail and was easy to follow. This class was very fun and she created a very supportive environment.

I had Christine for JMS 2600. The positives were her enthusiasm for the subject matter and making sure we understand. The negative is at times it was boring and seemed out of date

Christine is great at teaching public speaking skills. She's very honest and blunt, which is really refreshing. We didn't use the textbook at all besides group projects (and she provided pdfs of the chapters we used anyway). She is super encouraging and caring, and she engages with everyone's speeches in a mindful way.

Nothing but good things to say about Professor Stover. I am not someone who struggles with public speaking, but I had friends in the class who did. She makes the environment super comfortable and I feel like I improved a lot throughout the semester. As well as that, she is awesome at communicating and makes it very obvious when speeches come up.

AMAZING. Gives great feedback on all the papers and provides a great understanding of what the paper assignments. She is also very accessible outside of class and will respond to emails quickly. She is understanding and will extend deadlines if needed, but she won't take anything late. she is also super funny and tells great stories.

this class provided a comfortable environment where everyone could exceed. even if you end up missing a speech, makeup days are always offered. I highly recommend taking this professor for public speaking especially you are uncomfortable with the subject.

This is one of my favorite class, Professor Stover is the best! This class is interesting and eveyone in this class is so nice. And I am afraid of speaking in front of so many people, but she always encourages us and gives us good feedback after our speeches. I highly recommend taking her class!

Professor Stover brings the energy to each class and is a joy to be around. There are 5 grades in this class: informative speech, persuasive speech, a test, commemorative speech, and a final speech (it can be any of the previous three or an impromptu speech). If you put effort in and speak calmly while making eye contact, you'll do fine!

SO NICE! She is so responsive to emails, is so knowledgeable in this field, and genuinely just wants everyone to be involved and have fun. She is the sweetest person ever as well. I would take her a million times

Professor Stover was super nice, helpful and very flexible. She responds to emails fairly quickly and gives great feedback. Lectures were a bit boring and sometimes felt unnecessary since the class was pretty understandable, but she did her best to keep us engaged and interested + doesn't keep you in class for long. 100% would recommend!
