hard class. she teaches the class as if you were a math major and everyone should understand every single detail etc. and she goes at an extremely fast pace. do the homework and study lots for her tests.

Best Math teacher ever!!! Homework is all couted as extra credit. Replaces lowest test grade if u have a 70% or higher on quizzes. Helpful and funny. Only 30 questions on tests and final, half is multiple choice. Quizzes 5-10 problems. Helps you succeed in class.

Well, I took her during the summer. I would admit, she does go pretty fast, but you have to expect that during a summer session. During the summer, there are no quizes, 3 exams, replaces lowest exam with the final exam when you complete more 70%+ of your HW. Gives you study guides, etc. She's a nice, great teacher. I would recommend her for sure.

Professor Sun is so cute! She is really fun and funny. She teaches all of the material in a way that anyone can get. I highly recomend if you take her, to do all the extra credit and the MARC hours. The only thing I can see that may be a problem to some people is that she as a bit of an accent. But its not bad. TAKE HER FOR MATH!!! SHE ROCKS!!!

She is a really cool teacher. All the homework is counted as extra credit. When she is discussing a lesson she asks if anyone has questions and if you do she helps you to understand it. She is very helpful and if you attend class and pay attention you should get an easy A.

dr. sun is such a sweet woman. she teaches math in such a way that even those who struggle can understand. she wants everyone to do well and provides tons of opportunities for extra credit. i dont know if i passed or not yet but if i didnt it isnt because shes a bad teacher. take her shes really good.

nice grade calculation system. i was getting 68 which was a D, but i got a B at the end. probably aced the final. she was a great teacher, funny and helpful. great teacher to have for learning math. seriously math is not that scare once you have her.

SHE IS AWSOME. I HAD HER FOR WINTER 09 AND IT WAS VERY VERY FAST BUT SHE EXPLAINS EVERYTHING REALLY GOOD. JUST STAY ON TOP OF YOUR HOMEWORK AND ATTENDANCE AND YOU SHOULD BE PRETTY GOOD. THERE ARE NO SURPRISES ON THE TEST, SHE TELLS YOU EXACTLY WHATS GOING TO BE ON THE TEST.

Dr. Sun is the best! She's extremely clear and helpful. The tests aren't too difficult, and I'm saying this as someone who is horrible at math. It really helps your grade if you do the HW. She's such a sweet, dedicated teacher. You'll love her!

Dr. Sun was great! I really hate math, and I don't love it after the class lol but I did get it! She's waaay helpful and if you do your homework, which there is alot of, you should be golden. She gives lots of handouts & examples & tries to get everyone extra cred. I would totally recommend her. Most everyone in the class got a B, myself included!

she's very helpful. just make sure you do homework. it's just that 130 is just a really really looong class with lots of stuff packed into it. can be difficult but she definitely made it worthwhile for me.

Professor Sun is really helpful. Math is not my best subject at all, but she made it a lot easier. She explains things pretty well, and as long as you take the notes and do the hw, the tests aren't that bad at all.

Professor is always very cheerful and spirited. Her lectures and syllabus are organized. The atmosphere in the class is always awesome. She looks over which math problems to give as homework just to make sure nothing is too nerve-breaking. However, the amount of homework she gives is considered a little over average. I totally recommend her.

She is SO adorable!! Very helpful, but she goes pretty quick. Pay attention, take notes, do your homework on time and you'll pass. She is so sweet too.

I took this class in 8 weeks and was an easy A. As long as you stay on top of your homework and study what you find difficult you should be fine. DO NOT MISS CLASS! problems on test come from lecture example problems and handouts. She gives a lot of quizes but as long as you understand the matirial you will be fine.

I am now taking her class. She is cute and very friendly and passionate. I like her. A huge amount of HW and many quizzes. If you try, you will be easily get an A in her class.

I hate math because I am horrible at it. But, she's a good teacher who knows how to explain and help her students. Her quizzes are fairly easy. Her tests come from the lectures, but you should study if you want to get at least a B. I'm not good at mach, but she motivated me to study in order to get at least a solid B. I really recommend her.

it was intense 8 week course but as long as you DONT MISS CLASS because there are lots of quizes, and take step by step notes of each sample problem and then be able to do problems without using any notes your golden. In order to pass this class you MUST do your hmwk and STUDY STUDY STUDY. professor willing to go over things as many times as needed

Talks fast, but explains things clearly. Don't miss class because her lectures are very informative, and she gives little techniques on how to solve problems easily. Book is needed only for the homework, so just share a rental with a friend. There are no surprises in this class. Easy A.

I truly enjoyed Dr. Sun's class. She color-codes her work and her lectures are extremely clear. Almost every lecture she will review derivatives and integrals that you will need to memorize. She assigns plenty of homework though, but do them because they will definitely help you do well on exams, which are not too difficult.

She gets a lot of flack, but if you are not good at math, particularly algebra, then take Professor Sun for Math 71. She gives plenty of extra credit and she acknowledges that this class is hard. She makes sure each concept is clear. She teaches each unit as a whole, instead of going chapter by chapter so you remember concepts before test time.

I thought she made the class very passable. She provides extra credit. Her finalmidtermsquizzes reflect homework problems. The questions are straight forward. Lots of homework but doing it all will definitely prepare you.

The class is easy to get A or B. She provides extra credits which boost the final grade. She canceled her class 2 times. The test is long but not difficult.

I have a massively tough time with Algebra. I took intermediate with 2 different professors before Sun and I was unsuccessful. Her class wasn't easy for me, but she is a very organized professor and cares a ton about the success of her students. Always attend lecture, she gives you the notes so if you're disorganized (like me) it helps a ton.

She is the best professor I have ever had in Math. I took couple years off school and had a tough time catching up in the beginning of the semester, however, Prof Sun is really helpful and suggest me to retake Math 160. after study harder and review more i finally start doing go after the second quiz, i ended up getting an A in the class!!!

Before taking quizzes, she allows 10 extra mins of studying time in class. In those 10 mins, she walks by every student answering any last questions he or she might have. The hw preps you for quizzes and exams. I absolutely recommend her if you are willing to put your part in passing the class.

Best math professor there is. She is very helpful and gives 8 extra credit pts. For every hw assignment. If you put in effort she will help you. Prints out notes and answers any question you may have until you get it. Also gives study guides for every test.

pros: answers all questions VERY clearly has review sessions before tests very generous grader and LOTS of partial credit opportunities shes a little funny cons: doesn't go over most of the material, you get about 25% about what you need to know from lecture, 75% comes from hw. quizzes and tests are tough

Prof. Sun is great at her job. Lots of Hw but with the solutions manual it is a walk in the park. Tests are usually very hard, just study Hw and you will be fine! She usually explains what will be on the tests and will have review days

TAKE HER CLASS!!!! She's such a good teacher and explains VERY WELL! She gives TONS of hw BUT you only have to do it if you want extra credit. As long as you study the study guides before each exam its an easy A. As long as you come to class and pay attension its AN EASY A. And I suck at math but she made it SO EASY. TAKE HER CLASS.

SO EASY! As long as you do the hw and study and pay attentions its an easy pass. She does give tons of hw but she she offers 8 EXTRA CREDIT POINTS FOR EACH HW ASSIGNMENT. Which will boost your grade a lot so do it. Go to the library and ask for a solution manual(all the answers) really helps and makes it easier for you to understand the problems

So easy and explains everything PERFECTLY. Does give lots of hw but I hated math from the beginning but she made me like it. She does come late to class sometimes but she's a really good teacher. I had some teachers in the past who were the worst teachers ever.. take her u wont regret it

Man her class was so easy because she taught so well. She literally explains everything and makes sure that the class is conformable and good. She never gave us hw but instead she made it as extra credit. So I would recommend you do the hw (extra credit) everyday because later on it will make a difference. I plan on taking her class for math180

Teaches thoroughly and well. Homework and quizzes are a big deal that can make or break your grade so if you're not big on hw it's gonna be tough. Counts STEM hours as extra credit. Replaces your worst test with your final.

Dr. Christine Sun is extremely passionate about mathematics and loves seeing her students succeed. Her daughter was mathematically challenged, so she understands the frustration many of us have with math. Dr. Sun created her own teaching methods that made learning the material much easier. She also accepts TMarc hours as extra credit points.

Dr. Sun was a great Professor for Math 51 and I look forward to taking her again so she can assist me through my math journey. I took her course for Spring 2018, it was once a week so the homework was intense but do able. She gives excellent feedback, offers extra credit, explains problems very well, is funny and caring.

I took her class during summer. Her lecture was clear and had good examples. She also offered lots of extra credits. Quizzes and tests are similar to lectures or homework. She also tells us what will be on the tests. She is nice and trying to care all of her students.

She was an AMAZING teacher. Very detailed lectures and her tests are not hard if you do her study guides!!! If you need help on any questions she will either make you a zoom video of the question or give you a picture of her work. She is a sweetheart 100% recommend her.

Professor Sun is an excellent lecturer and is extremely kind! Her lectures are very thorough in explaining the mathematical concepts. As long you understand how to do the homework and study guide questions without difficulty, you will do well on the class quizzes and exams.

Although I do not have any love of math I really did not struggle to understand the concepts she taught. She gives so many examples of different ways to approach each problem. Her lectures are clear and her notes are also very good. Only downside is the tests are 65% of the grade.

I took online class for MATH 150 and honestly it was overall good. Her explanation is easy and she is good with questions. The only downside is the program you have to use to submit homework, it is a bit annoying lol. I remember it was Pearson. She was easy going and I liked her.

Her lectures are helpful. She does a great job explaining concepts thoroughly! Expect ALOT of HW. Every week it's 3-5 HW, 2-5 quizzes, a test every other week plus a cumulative final. It's through Pearson + you need to pay $80. She offers unlimited tries for HW, two for assessments, and drops the lowest HW/assessments. Stay on top of your work!

She certainly is not the best professor, but she is not as bad as others have described her. I would say she didn't set the fundamentals up as rigorously as I would like. She did not go through the basic rules of limits and derivatives, ex: quotient and chain rule. 2hw/week requires you to have strong fundamentals in algebra/trig to work fast.

I have no clue where all the bad rating are coming from, she should have a 6 if it went up that high. I took her for Trig so maybe the rating are accurate for Calc but idk It lowkey is a lot of work, you have about 3 hours of lecture to watch each week but I put the vids on 2x speed cause she talks a little slow.

Unfortunately had to withdraw but will be retaking this class hopefully with her! She's extremely caring and flexible and her lectures + examples are amazing. Also made sure to provide us with extra resources if we needed help in the subject. An absolute sweetheart of a professor. I definitely recommend taking her classes. Lots of homework though!

In all honesty, she's very fast in the way she teaches and may be a bit confusing for those who aren't super familiar with math Homework greatly prepares for each examination, but can be confusing if you miss even a single lecture Not the toughest grader, so as long as you show your work and get the right answer, you're O.K. Extremely test-heavy

This is specifically for online classes. I'm not the best at math, but taking her class was super easy for me and helped me learn at my own pace. Her lecture videos reflect the assignments given. As long as you don't procrastinate, her class is not bad at all. I would def recommend taking her online class. (You do need to purchase Pearson)
