If you absolutely love chemistry and if you believe you will outsmart this teacher than take her, if not don't bother. Turner rolls her eyes at you for asking so many questions and doesn't help her students for nothing. If your answer on a test is 3 she marks it wrong for not writing 3.0. Not very well at grading.
A lot of the students are doing terribly, but if you pay attention in class you will pass. Also if you have any issues she is always open to answer questions during and after class time.I am doing great in the class, but others seem to be having a hard time. Overall a good teacher and I would take more classes from her.
I only had her for the chemistry lab but she explained everything very good before each lab. If you do the homework and pay attention in lab you will do fine.
She doesn't explain things well (including policy, assignments), doesn't prepare for labs, grades in class instead of helping or watching students, has a bad attitude towards students, and is very harsh at grading. She will spend 15 mins explaining things then ignores you the rest of class. The lab assistant has taught me more than this lady has.
This is the worst professor I have ever had. If you plan to keep your GPA high, I don't recommend taking her. She is unclear on EVERYTHING, including the material that needs to be taught. Tests are all cumulative and her study guides are not what is on the test. She doesn't seem to have an attitude or personality compatible with being a professor
She's very hard, I only took the lab with her but it was difficult to pass with an A, bc she didn't clearly explained
Her teaching style is go over a quick example of the material and give you handouts with 50 problems and let you figure it all out on your own. All tests are accumulative and you do not have enough time to complete them, half of the class would still be working on them at the end of the allotted time. Worst professor I have ever had and I am honors
I usually don't rate professor but I am going out of my way to tell everyone to choose a different chemistry professor, this lady hands down the worst I have had.
I will say that this lady is by far the worst teacher I have ever had! She doesn't explain anything thoroughly! God forbid you ask her a question she will just tell you its wrong and not explain why. All tests are cumulative and she will give a 7 page front and back test and expect you to complete it in 45 mins. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! She just goes over very simple examples and wastes valuable time class letting students do exercises they don't even understand. Her tests are cumulative, she is not really helpful during office hours. By all means stay away!!
my last science classes was 15 yrs. ago.I really learned a lot. you definitely don't want to miss her class . she teaches something new almost every lecture. if you study you can keep up. If you want to learn you will just keep up with the work and extra credit too. only negative was not enough time to study for the final.
This teacher is awful. Her exams are cumulative and she is always behind her schedule. You barely have time to study because you find out the last minute when the exams are. Do not take her class!!! Intro to chem is suppose to be easy but she makes it harder than it seen. I suggest you take another teacher.
Terrible teacher. Her math was a just not very good. Stay away! I scored the top score for the chemistry final exam in high school, but because she kills your grades for stupid mistakes, I knew ALL the material but got points off for sloppy work. She seems like a nice person, so that's fine, but she just really doesn't teach chemistry well.
Great teacher. She is available for you before and after class. Very helpful!
Great teacher! She takes her time explaining everything. She is not an easy teacher by far but I've enjoyed the class.
very tough class, homework took forever to do online and she doesn't use mychemlab, lectures over some concepts and makes you do problems the rest of class, if you don't understand something she makes you feel dumb in front of the class, and makes you use a scientific calculator not your graphing. I barely passed.
I am so happy I chose to take this (intro chem) course first. She is patient. She is intelligent and will make time to meet with you to revisit concepts you may be finding difficult to understand. Chemistry is SPECIFIC and you must be precise with your figures. I feel confident moving forward to gen chem I because she taught me the foundation.
Very disorganized. Answer keys have numerous mistakes. I had to check HER WORK. This makes learning the material that much harder when you have to second guess her carelessness. You do a ton homework for a chance to get 5 extra credit points. Homework program is just as painful. I WAS a straight "A" student. I barely pulled a "C". AVOID!!!!
Absolute WORST teacher I have had in both my college and high school career. She is constantly behind schedule, which leads to performing labs on topics not yet discussed in lecture. She is disorganized and unclear with what she wants in lab reports. She is also rude if you ask her a question.. AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL COSTS.
Mean people should keep their comments to themselves and stop hating. Ms. Turner is an excellent teacher. I am reading the negative posts and they must be from someone who failed her class. Do your work!! She is very clear and very helpful. Do you have a Masters or Doctorate, then she obviously knows more than you & me. I have an A!
Always there to help. Makes you be the best you can be.
Professor Turner is an excellent teacher and I would definitely take her class again. Classes can fall behind schedule, but she makes up for it. Love the pace the class was conducted at, made it easier to understand topics. Some homework, but not much. Tests are not bad. Professor Turner is always there to help when asked. Answers emails very fast.
Great teacher. Professor Turner expects you to work hard. But she will help you learn the work if you go to see her. She wants you to know the chemistry. Not an easy A but you will know your stuff. I would recommend her.
literally was such a boring class. tests were so ridiculous and no multiple choice at all. online work was ridiculous. get another teacher please. shes boring too and falls behind alot. ask a question and shell look at you like youre dumb. terrible teacher.
hands down the greatest. she really knows her stuff.
Cool lady - great teacher - I recommend her
When I took her class it was because I had to. I like chemistry because Ms. Turner made it interesting. High expectations and great teacher. She loves chemistry. You will to.
really nice, I learned so much.
Miss Turner is the best. She is tough, really knows her stuff and helps you learn.
Wow she really helped me understand chemistry. I have her for another class this semester. If you want really learn then you better take her. She is great!!!!!!
I am taking Organic Chemistry II at another school. I had Professor Turner for Organic Chemistry I and I am having an easy time in the class. My classmates did not have Professor Turner and they do not have a good grasp on Org I. I am tutoring them on the concepts. I am so glad that I had Professor Turner. She is the best!!!!!!!
Great teacher!
Beginning of semester handed out work sheets almost every class. would work them out on the board silently then ask if thats what we got. everyone seemed pretty lost and that was when she changed things a little, which I appreciated. offered a lot of options for tutoring. Not my favorite but not the worst. Hate her homework program!
Looks out for you but makes you work for your grade. Hard teacher but sets you up for success.
Mrs Turner is by far the most unorganized teacher I have ever had, I have her for Lab and Lecture and practically every lab day she forgets to set stuff up and/or explains it poorly. Her tests are ridiculous because she doesn't even mention a quarter of the problems. She offers extra credit, but won't teach you it and tells you to learn it yourself
She was a good teacher, see knew what she was talking about and if she was going to fast with a subject she would slow it down for the students that weren't getting it right away. Her grading relied heavily on her tests and the extra credit she gave was through tutoring sections that not every could meet. And you have to memorize a lot.
She knows A LOT, her problem is she just doesnt know how to pass that knowledge. It is sad that a Intro to Chem class was made so difficult. She makes you memorize things from day one and you better learn it or you wont pass her tests. Sometimes she actually gets upset when students ask her questions, and dont count with office hours, always busy.
The way prof. Turner teaches is kind of spotty. She may assign homework on Wiley plus, and after the due date posted, she will change it to weeks later- doesn't tell you she's doing it, and won't change your grade if you did the work by the initial due date she posted. She doesn't seem to care if her students understand the material or not.
Ms. Turner is a glorified babysitter. Here is what you can expect: -Few lectures, countless worksheets -No study guides -Unrelated questions on tests -Horrific grading/ email delays -Minute extra credit opportunities -Unclear/ ambiguous grading -No keeping your tests -Discouragement of critical thinking and innovative problem solving Avoid her.
She just has RIDICULOUS grading technique. The exams are accumulative making the 5th exam 25% of your grade. She makes you work on worksheets for 3-4 classes when it isn't even worth a grade, so you get behind about 7 lectures and she tries to crunch in one more a week before the final. She also comes in chewing gum making it clear she doesn't care
She is a good teacher. Tough but good. If you plan on going to USF or continuing your education take her. I took her last semester now I am taking her this semester. She is always available for for questions if you need her. And she is brilliant and helpful.
When I read the reviews I was unsure if I should take this professor. I signed up for her anyway. She is GREAT, CARING, and SMART. I go to her office for help when I need it and she is very patient. She wants you to learn and takes her time to explain what you do not know. TAKE HER she cares.
All exams are written. No multiple choice. She doesn't teach everything that's on her homework and exams. That's been a recurring issue. She basically expects you to teach yourself after she presents the content to you. Might as well replace her with a textbook. Compared to other chemistry teachers she's hard.
DO NOT TAKE HER! If you are not a pro in chemistry this class will ruin your life. There's no multiple choice on her exams , grading style is ridiculous, she teaches like if her students were all scientist with full knowledge on content . You basically have to teach yourself after she throws all the information at you. Very intimidating.
Professor Turner is a tough grader. But she is only preparing you for the higher level chemistry. She gives you a good foundation of what you're going to need in general chem 1 and on. If you do not understand something, seek help from professor Turner. She is ALWAYS willing to help. I definitely recommend her to anyone who isn't strong in science.
I never bought the book, she has powerpoints. Graded by tests and labs, which are not that hard. Show up to class, don't come late or she will put the spotlight on you. She doesn't follow the syllabus, so just come prepared. Also, YOU NEED GOGGLES OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO THE LABS. Only a 1 pg research paper at the end. DO IT RIGHT AWAY!
Midterm and final worth a huge part of your grade, almost ridiculously so. Reviews aren't particularly helpful. For an intro lab, didn't do a lot of explaining of equipment. She's not mean or rude, but does seem a bit put out by having to explain things.
Ms. Turner is a great teacher. She is always willing to help. Her labs are interesting and fun. She wants you to learn and always available for office hour help. Go to class if you want to pass.
This is my second time taking this class. Hands down this is the best teacher. My last teacher was nice but I did not learn anything. She seems tough but you really learn with her. Go see her if you need help. I plan to take the rest of my chemistry classes with Professor Turner!!!!
Tough class but Professor Turner offers lot offers lot of practice worksheets for her exams.
Really a great teacher yall. She's a tough grader but not that tough, and offers 7 extra credit points on every test. Always available to talk in her office even if she's in the middle of her lunch. Tests a graded promptly. She explains everything you need to know for each test in depth and always has good feedback. Excellent teacher overall!!!
She's alright. She's really nice but she's not the best teacher in the world. She does break it down in a way that non-science majors can understand and it doesn't make you feel dumb, which is good. Some of the information she teaches can occasionally be wrong, though, so watch out for that. Attendance is not mandatory.
Unlike most teaching this field, she seems like a more regular person, instead of a genius, but still has a hard time articulating her thoughts w/ regard to concept. She us fair too easy on grading and she round your grade. Hard to question anything she says, she'll come at you like it's an argument. Sorry for not understanding something...
Professor Turner is engaging and passionate about organic chemistry. She is willing to work with you to achieve your goals. The class is challenging. USE the book for practice and this is where she pulls some of her test questions from. Get the ACS final study guide. If you are willing to put work into the class then you will succeed.
Avoid Ms. Turner at all cost. Her lectures are spotty, she spends an unnecessary amount of time on countless worksheets that aren't graded, there are no study guides given, she adds unrelated questions to tests and homework, and her grading criteria makes it impossible to receive an A. She teaches her classes as if we are chemists with a degree.
She is by far the WORST professor that I have ever encountered. Every time someone didn't understand and asked her a question, she belittled them in front of the whole class. If you know whats good for you, DO NOT take her.
Turner isn't passionate to teach. She gives several hand outs a week to make up for her lack of lecturing. Seems quite annoyed at any question you ask. She lectures her class about how stupid they are more than she lectures the material. Not approachable in the slightest. Feels like the class is set up to weed-out rather than inspire.
Ms. Turner is such a great teacher. She is very thorough with her information. She is willing to help when a student needs help. Her exams are a bit difficult but shes testing you on whether or not you know your concepts. If you miss a class you will be behind. overall shes a great teacher and prepares you for higher level chem
If there's a positive review on here, its likely written by Turner herself. Take someone - nay - anyone else.
She is a very good teacher that gives clear and effective lectures. She is very strict and harsh in her grading, but is also clear about what she wants from you though simple mistakes may hurt you more than you expect. Be ready to memorize a lot and tests are written. No multiple choice.
She tries to act like she an expert in her field but explains material very blandly. She is just a professor giving out C's to kids who deserve an A. If she likes you personally you may get lucky. Good luck.
GO TO CLASS. Lectures were easy to understand, especially since it's Orgo and science professors tend to be smart but cannot explain the material. Her tests were DOABLE, but certainly not easy. She is NOT the nicest professor out there and will sometimes be mean when she speaks to you. She doesn't really use CANVAS or replies to emails.
Professor Turner is great. Her lectures are clear, and she works lots of problems in class. She also gives chances for extra credit. Just come to class pay attention and do the work you will pass.
Ms. Turner teaches really good, she explains the topics well. Those people who rate her bad must be those that don't come to class or don't do the work.
I took her for Chemistry and Society and it was not that bad. We went on two field trips which i thought was pretty neat but make sure you take lots of notes because they will show up on the exam. She doesn't communicate very well with her students via canvas so make sure you double check with her on everything.
She doesn't even teach the material on the homework and test. First of for yall that are asking yes I attended every class and yes I paid attention. her tests are accumulative, meaning with every test you are tested on everything you've learned during the entire semester. good luck if you take her, you'll probably is going to tutoring.
Professor Turner knows chemistry. She is a very thorough professor who expects the best from her students. She is a tough grader and you will work your grade. All test are comprehensive, she wants to ensure that you actually learn and not just memorize material. She is always available during office hours to help.
The test is very hard since there's so much to remember. She sometimes teaches the information rarely but is very lazy in putting grades in.
Organic chemistry is a very difficult class. you must put in the work to get the grade you want. but, its not about the letter grade. professor turner grades you off your tests but also on how much you care and try. Professor turner has shaped me into a student that will one day do great things. she has assured me that I will always be just fine,
Professor Turner wasn't all that bad. I felt at a disadvantage and almost shunned because I didn't have her for lecture. Often times it felt because I didn't have her for lecture I was missing a lot of information. The final was a wreck for our class and it reflected in grades. Managed to pass but the midterm and final are 35% of your grade each.
She is great at teaching the material but you have to study if you want a good test grade. She is willing to answer any questions her lectures are important. Her tests are cumulative. Make sure you review!
1020C. Often doesn't give feedback and that is the major problem I have with her. You may be doing something wrong and not know that unless you press her for answers --and I mean really press her for answers. There also seems to be these unwritten and unelaborated standards for things like labs and papers which can cripple an otherwise good grade.
Teacher grades very hard. She lectures for exams however, material is not used on exams so it is redundant to study hard.
This teacher is not ready to be a professor, she's barely ready to be a substitute. You can tell she treats teaching as an obligation and that she does not want to be there. Spends two whole lectures on a class and does not test it on exams. DO NOT USE HER EXAM REVIEWS. She makes a huge list of things to know for the exam and only tests a quarter.
This teachers grading is very peculiar. You can get a question 80% correct and she will mark it completely wrong. She gives free-b questions like "what was something interesting you learned this semester?" and she marked it wrong for me. Very interesting.
She doesn't let you keep the test so knowing how to improve is hard. Especially if she goes over the test in the last 10 minutes of class making it hard to write down the questions you missed. She has very little interest in chemistry or teaching in general and she treats it like a job she hates. Doesn't know how to answere hard chemistry questions
She makes herself available to students outside of class. Hard work, but worth it if you take advantage of her extra help.
Definitely not ready to be a chem teacher. Doesnt seem to understand the material well enough to teach it. makes huge grading mistakes. Doesnt show up for office hours. Argues and gives excuses instead of helping. I would take any option over taking her class. Poorly prepares the class for exams and homework.
She is willing to explain anything to you but her class is very difficult to pass. Tests are hard and not at all similar to the examples that we go over in class. The grade is only based off exams and some homework assignments. Took her for Organic Chemistry I
AWFUL! This teacher does not care about students or teaching, she hates her job, shouldnt be teaching. Tests are so so hard and her grading policy is very unfair! Her class is unnecessarily difficult. I had to take her because I registered late but ANY other teacher would have been better than her, Im sure. Seriously, dont take her class.
LORD! Just don't take her. Her lectures seem helpful and you feel that you understand the content but then her tests come around and are so difficult. She is very unorganized and doesn't really care about your success. Loves trick questions on tests. She takes forever to grade tests. She also will never respond to emails.
Ugh. Doesn't help at all in lab. The lab info she gives is very vague and you basically have to figure it out for yourself. You'll never get over a 90 on a lab. She is a tough grader and she just writes a bunch of red marks everywhere. I took her for both lecture and lab and I would advise you all to NOT take her.
I think the biggest thing she focuses on is how to make college students think. If college students would try to understand the concepts and the examples she gives, it would be easier to pass the tests. She is available outside of class if you schedule time with her. Her grading may take some time to be put into the system but she's fine.
My last class before I graduate- worst prof ever. Constant mistakes in learning matierial and tests. She had lots of problems with Canvas. Vague directions for labs, etc. Very slow to put in grades. Unlocked new modules/assignments late, or uploaded wrong assignments. Makes excuses. Seems like her job is a huge hassle. Avoid her!
Most likely will take your final exam without all assignments for the tested chapter submitted . Tough grader , without clear requirements. If she does not understand your answer you will get no credit. Chemistry class with a test for majority of the chapters , with free response questions included .
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! All tests are written. I went to tutoring and I still failed this class. She acts like she cares but she really doesnt. She excepts us to know everything like we have a degree in chemistry. She gives extra credit but it doesnt help as much as you would think. Pretty sure Half of my class failed.
ABORT ABORT ABORT! If you have signed up for her course and are shooting for an A this is not the right professor, she is completely unorganized and doesn't care for the students learning experience . She also creates trick questions for her tests that are never taught within the lecture or homework. Finally, she's stubborn and stingy with grading.
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!!!! She is terrible. You can tell she hates teaching, her class is unnecessarily difficult. Its an Intro class for Gods sake, she expects you know everything already. She is extremely discouraging, a student in my class asked a question and she told her she should choose a different career if she couldnt understand that.
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT take this teacher. This teacher will make your life a living hell. I managed to barely pass with a C but more than half of my class failed. So much time, energy and money wasted bc of her. Im not expecting an easy class but she makes it harder for no reason at all.
She should no longer have a job. Worst professor so far. She could care less about whether you understand the material. Very sink or swim kind of mentality. Again, she should be fired. Unorganized, and she likes to make excuses for her inability to keep up with her workload. Test 4 was graded before Test 3 was. We dont see how we did on exams.
She is terrible DO NOT take her. She could care less about helping you. Her tutoring times were horrible. She talks down on the students all the time. She would also call out on certain people who didn't understand something. She shouldn't be allowed to teach. Her class is honestly unnecessarily hard. Tests are extremely difficult and hand written.
She is just the worst professor Ive ever had, not just because she does not care about students understanding and learning but because of the environment that she creates in the classroom, we feel lost, dumb, like we bother her, like she is there to make us suffer. (Mrs Turner, its an intro class for gods sake!).
Absolutely terrible teacher. I emailed her plenty of times and only got a response when she felt like responding (which was basically never). Very sarcastic and likes to pick on certain students. On top of that, all of her tests were free response questions. Her lecture was terrible. Read off the power point and provide terrible reviews for tests.
Best Professor I have had hands down so far between HCC and USF. Actually cares that her students learn and grow. It is not about getting a grade only, it is about learning how to think and work hard for something. Laziness will not cut it in her class, but she will work with you if you need it.
Very hard subject but presented clearly and she genuinely loves to teach.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Her syllabus is not organized. She grades heavily and does not even follow her rubric. She'll give you an F on an assignment with no explanation. She doesn't respond to emails, and when she does it's typically short one-worded responses. She requires A LOT of papers, and two group papers - in a chemistry class...
If you are looking for a sign not to take Turner, THIS IS IT. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. She is the absolute worst and sabotages you from the beginning. She BARELY covers the material, you have to school yourself for hours, she will not help. TEST and quizzes and homework are murderous. NO CURVES OR EXTRA CREDIT
What ever you do, even if she the last Professor the campus has to offer , DO NOT TAKE professor Turner class. I never write reviews on Professor even if they are good teachers, but I had to for Professor Turner. I promise you, YOU WILL STRUGGLE in her class, YOUR GRADES WILL DROP in her class, YOU WILL BARELY PASS HER CLASS, and FAIL ALL HER TEST
TBH, If you need good lecture, clear communication, flexible homework, DO NOT take Turner. I don't doubt her person but as an online teacher she's ineffective. She gives one sentence answers to emails, 1-2 quizzes every other day (sometimes even sunday and not MC), hard tests, and little to no feedback. If you have another option do that or go solo.
Do not take her. I thought I would have more attention and thoroughness by taking Organic Chemistry at a community college, but I was wrong. She does not teach the material in the order it should be taught. You HAVE to learn it by yourself. There is no other way. She made a mistake in one of her lectures was rude when I asked for clarification.
HORRIBLE! When I took this class it didn't state that it had a lab included and the materials were so expensive on top of McGraw hill and the class itself. She doesn't teach anything you are on your own. Barley responded and so much paper for a chem class. I had more essays in this class than my English 2. Also there two group work. AGAIN HORRIBLE!
HORRIBLE. DO NOT take this course. Professor does not respond with more than two words. NO help at all, you are on your own. Has no idea what she is talking about it seems like. Labs are very difficult and EXPENSIVE, you have to buy all kinds of unnecessary inconvenient materials. Do yourself a favor and take this course with another professor.
The student is always wrong. It is never her fault she forgot to explain the homework, or maybe she forgot to mention the test, or she says "I covered that topic in my 50+ minutes of orientation video", or she may even mark you as absent despite sitting right in front of her. She doesn't apologize, it's never her fault.
I created an account just to review this terrible professor. I've never seen someone that cares so little about their job. She doesn't teach anything, is extremely unorganized, won't grade within the time frame, and brags about being a rough grader (when she doesn't teach to begin with). Do not take this professor.
Labs were at-home but data had to be uploaded onto Canvas. A full video of the lab had to be submitted along with data. Pre-labs were mainly computational and formula-based. Final project is in three parts and graded more tough.
This professor sucks! I had separate lecture and lab teachers so I'd be in her lab class while my lecture was behind so I was confused a lot by the material. If you ask her for help she will yell and belittle you. I now have to retake intro to chem lab because she is such a tough grader.
There are weekly labs that require stuff, not on the syllabus; so, weekly shopping is needed (NO SUBSTITUTIONS) and all materials cost me $350. Auto graded questions say correct answers are wrong and she does not check them. Every test/quiz is monitored and you have to record each lab and put it on youtube. Did not grade an essay submitted on time.
when I went on rate my professor to find one for Chemistry and society I ignored the bad comments about this professor. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!!! She does not grade anything on time, does not communicate well or at all, doesnt grade accurately, and overall just not kind. 0/10 would not recommend. please take someone else. she doesnt care.
I was extremely disappointed by this professor. Tons of useless work. She never graded anything on time, so I never knew how I was doing. No feedback whatsoever. My GPA dropped significantly because of her inability to teach. Her lectures are terrible. Stay away from this class.
Don't take her! she doesn't care about the students, she is so unclear with the instructions and expects us to know what she wants. all the class has D's and low C's and she doesn't care to consider we need help. We try talking to her but instead she says follow the instructions. Don't risk ur GPA/ money taking her. VERY not considerant :(((((((
Professor Turner is very straightforward, what she lectures on is what she tests on. My biggest piece of advice is if the teacher is spending her time writing information on the board, YOU should write it down as well. Complete all assignments, show up to class, pay attention, take your time on tests/homework, act like an adult & you will succeed.
Failed lecture but passed lab, felt like I was getting gas lit when I asked for help. do not recommend
I do not recommend her at all. If you can avoid taking her please do so. She is very unclear in her instructions for both lecture and lab. Expects us to know certain things when we have not covered the topics. Does not matter if you make an effort on a question for a test, if it is not the CORRECT way to solve it you will get it wrong.
My son and A+ student in private education, with great teachers. Drives 1 hr daily for no reason. She is not clear on her instructions and practice to the tests. My son states she is always with bad attitude, uninspiring the students to continue with their paths. As a Former teacher, i believe teacher like that should not be in college.
Not good.
Why HCC doesn't do anything about this teacher. Half of class dropped and the ones left were hoping for a D. People doesn't learn memorizing lists of chemical symbols. You wont learn anything!
Ms. Turner lacks any enthusiasm for teaching, and often leaves many of her students still confused after lessons. She is awful, and unhelpful if you contact her during her non class office hours. She will pass out graded tests forgetting to put it in the grade book, and fail you if you can't give it back to her in time (happened twice) 0\10
She doesn't give much explanation for each lab.She is a tough grader and doesn't give any extra credit or second chances. The emails are not responded and it is hard to ask questions because she usually doesn't give clear answer. With all the respect,I would not recommend taking her class even if there is not another section available at the time.
This class has a lot of extra requirements that add to the cost and workload. The professor doesn't provide much guidance, so it's essential to use resources like unstuckstudy to prepare for tests and stay on top of the material.
A lot of supplies are required. She struggles to break down difficult information and is a poor communicator. She is a tough grader. Peers in my class scored so low that she created a huge curve by the end of the course to have her remaining students pass. I do not recommend.
She does NOT know how to teach. She's tough on how she grades the tests. Wants definition questions on test to be exactly how she concocted them in her mind, can't be even ONE word off or it's wrong. When you ask a question to understand a topic in class, she just gives random analogies that leave me even more confused.
She takes her time to explain, but her test and homework are just not it, very ambiguous and unclear. Be ready for written exams and no multiple choices. Don't recommend.
This professor may know the subject she teaches but she DOES NOT know how to teach it to others. She does not prepare you for tests that are difficult or think about how much this class costs. Not to mention she will give you 8 assignments to do in one week and 3 are labs that you have to buy materials for. Would not recommend to take.
