This is an awesome professor! I dont understand why she didnt have any ratings. She makes the class fun. Shes very corny and lively. Does a bit of lecturing but all are on power point and can find them on the website. All the notes are on the test. Easy A if you study the notes. A bit of class work and a little homework. VERY FUN CLASS

She is a GREAT teacher! funny, very helpful and knows her stuff. There is always group discussions which is fun and you get credit for it. The only homework is a "lab" she puts videos or articles that you view and write up a 1pg. d/s evaluation and reflection, due every wednesday. journals are 2pg's d/s due mondays b4 exams. Always fun & awesome

Awesome teacher. Although the tests can be hard if you aren't fully prepared, the class was extreamily intersting. She has a cute bubbly personality and will work with you if you just ask for help. She makes time go by fast and skips over most of the dry and boring parts of Psychology.

Christine is one of nicest most helpful teachers. She really got me interested in psychology. She teaches a large lecture class but is very clear and makes everything understandable. I wish she taught sociology. I'd reccomend for sure!

this class is sort of hard. she rambles on and she is crazy, yet she tries to crack jokes, it just makes her seem weirder than she is. Her tests are hard and she does not do a well enough coverage before.

Christine is really fun! the class is a toughy but as long as you go and pay attention your fine. I never read the book just cracked it open for the studyguide! everything you need to know is on the study guide! and just mae sure you take notes while shes talking in class!! lots of people dont, but it really helps! JUST DO ALL YOUR HTBAS!!TAKE HER!

Christine was amazing!!!! She is so full of life and makes psychology interesting. I looked forward to coming to class because of her. Yes you do have to attend classes regularly and pay attention. If you can't do that why are you in college in the first place.

best psych professor! for an A you need to: turn in all of your work on time, print out notes and add to them in the margins, and refer to the notes when you're studying the study guide. That isn't too much to ask since she grades work based on completion. The book is almost useless.

Christine is pretty cool. Its a calm cool class. The only flaw is that you have to check blackboard for due dates. If you reading this Christine please start puting things on da whiteboard too!LOL! If you want like a straight but interesting lecture take Christine. Hot? You know what I think she is good looking. Psyc/Soc 240 is really cool.

Christine is such a sweetheart. I love going to class and enjoy the lessons she makes for us. She makes sure each lesson is interactive (group discussions/class activities) so class is never boring. She's helpful and extremely understanding to her students' needs.

Good teacher. I actually kind of liked her. Explains everything really well. Too much group work. She wants us to discuss EVERYTHING in groups, simple stuff that doesn't need to be discussed further. Tests are kind of hard. The questions are way too vague/ambiguous. I WAS a 4.0 student but never got higher than a B on a test.

Interesting class. good teacher, but dont be late or leave early. 4 tests(they're impossible), i got 3 C's and one D, and passed with a B. rarely assigns hw. if you do all classwork, you'll pass with at least a B. oh and do ALL EA packets with correct format. she's very anal about format.

Such a nice teacher. She's always trying to make sure we're involved and understand without being overbearing. She always tries to make learning fun and easier to understand. (don't forget to laugh at her jokes ;) )

i LOVED this class. i felt like i learned soo much. all very interesting. she is very funny, just make sure you participate and dont ever even try to look at your phone! -she doesnt like it. but i definitely recommend her as a teacher! tip: all the examples she says during class are on the exams!

I really loved this class. She gave great examples for everything that she taught. I studied hard and took a lot of notes during her lecture and did well on the tests. The questions were normally based off of the examples she gave. I learned a lot and I highly recommend her.

She really knows what she's talking about and she explains things really well, and there's a lot of group discussions that she gives points for so it's good not to miss a class and if u do the class discussions and read the text you'll pass

I took all of her classes :) not to be a nerd or anything i loved her way of teaching. she was easy to approach very understanding and explained things so everyone could understand! take notes go to class and participate its college duh!

She is very bubbly and energetic just what you need for an interesting class. Loved everything. Class was super easy. No homework just EA packets just every three weeks. Test were very fair. I would definately take her again!!

She took over for my previous psych professor. She engaged the class in discussions and made the subject interesting. she makes the material understandable and i would recommend taking a class with her!

By far one of the best teachers I've ever had. She is hilarious! She makes class fun and interesting. You can tell she loves her job. She is very organized. There are note outlines on blackboard. She also gives out study guides. Download and study both and you'll get an A.

I absolutely love going to her class, she is so funny and makes the material really interesting. The homework and in class assignments are easy, but use her study guides for the tests! Also, attending class and paying attention is important because she uses examples from class on the test.

A lot of people in my class hated her, but she is one of my favorite profs! She's hilarious! Just participate in class activities/discussions and do all EA's in CORRECT formatting- she's picky about that. Tests are really difficult and she uses examples from class on exams. I loved going to that class- it is always a lot of fun!

I have had her for 3 classes 100, 170, and 240. Once you get into her upper level psych classes you can really tell she puts her heart into it. I've learned so many life lessons in her class. I go to UCI now and I miss her so much as a teacher. My advice is to get to know her because she has a lot to offer and she is a wonderful person and teacher.

I LOVE professors like Christine. She's super chill but STRAIGHT up! You don't want to mess with her. She's AMAZING and hilarious!! Every class there is always something interesting to learn. She bases real life examples to help understand concepts better. I will definetly be taking her again!

i took for the summer 2011 semester at scc online. she was very organized, she had all the lectures and assignments up for the 8 weeks. Also, an online class is not hard unless you have great time management skills. it made me complete my work a few days before the due date. one word of advice: read, read, read the text!! to understand the concepts

Took intro online. It was very easy. The only reason I didn't an A is because I missed a test and she wouldn't let me take it.

She was absolutely amazing. Even though at times she would stray away from the lecture, you still learned everything by the end of lecture. Her high energy made the class very enjoyable.

dr. kopp was awesome for psych 100. the summer online course is 8 weeks so be prepared for reading and weekly assignments. The exams are easy as long as you review the powerpoint presentations. Easy A!

Christine is amazing! She is nice and funny which makes class enjoyable. She gives study guides before each test and there are online activities each week which really help with your grade! The class is not an easy A, but I got an A by showing up every day, taking notes, and studying. Also, she has the notes available online so bring them to class!

She was super fun and easy to understand. Her lectures weren't at all boring and she showed tons of videos and examples to help clarify. She had some online assignments but you have tons of time to take them and pass them. I love her!

Umali Copp is awesome!! This class is amazing. This class opens your mind and you discuss so many different topics. All lectures/tests are online. You do a lot of group activities which were all fun and watch movies. Have to write journals and reflection papers. Don't text- you'll be sorry. She was one of my favorite professors at SCC. Take her!!!

This class changed my view on everything. Its a must take class. the tests and lecture is all online. There are 5 five journals which are 2 pgs and reflection papers which are 1 pg. Mostly class activities and discussions. Loved this class.

Very organized! She sends you an email every week to let you know what is due and answers all questions. She made the class very interesting and the book isn't so bad either.

Christine is AWESOME! We had a huge morning lecture class and everyone really wanted to be there. She is hilarious and tells stories to help you remember things for the test. She will answer any question and really gets input from every person in the class, she likes to hear opinions. Speak up so she will get to know you. Don't need the textbook.

All due dates are crystal clear. Book not used much, quiz ?'s are from lecture. Deducts point for minor details (forgetting a period / accidentally leaving a letter off of a word). Writes stupid / rude comments if you submit something on discussion board that she doesn't like even if the topic is to discuss something negative that happened to you.

I took the online class and it was extremely easy! Assignments include posting on discussion boards and completing quizzes based on webpages and videos related to the lessons. The textbook is not needed. Those are easy points. The textbook is not needed; I did not use it at all and passed all exams with A's!

She's probably one of the best teachers, she's funny, has her own stories and is really helpful.. suggest taking her class

I took this class Intro to Psych online. Pretty simple class. She provided a lecturepower point to take notes from. Her expectations were very clear. Pretty easy to pass.

My experience in this class was fabulous! Umali Kopp truly cares for her students and always takes the time to explain things more in depth if needed. There was no homework; only in-class activities, papers, and online tests. Although the material is fairly simple, she really pushes you to grow both as a student and as an individual.

My most favorite professor I have ever taken in College. She's so cool and easy to talk to. I took her for Multicultural and Social Psych, I just wish there were more of her classes that I could take. She does have a lot of writing assignments but they're all very interesting. This class makes you really think about how you fit in society. BEST!

Super well organized online class, sends daily emails on whats do. Watch the lectures, do all the quizzes, fill out the study guides and participate in all the discussion boards and you'll get an A. Great course to do for intersession or summer!

Although Umali Kopp is good at teaching and in most cases kind, she seems to treat students as if they were in high school. She gets very angry and calls out people who come in late. She is also biased in her views and makes rude remarks if your opinion is controversial. People have to deal with traffic sometimes, I don't see why she gets so angry.

She is funny and makes the class more exciting. but the test are a bit difficult. she does call you out if you are late, fall asleep, talk to people or leave early. she will also immediately kick you out if you are on your phone. but she is genuinely a cool person! just don't disagree with her because she can be rude about conflicting opinions.

Umali Kopp treats her students like adults and expects you to behave like one. This includes giving her 100% effort to learn in her class. If you are already the type to give a professor your undivided attention and make an effort to show up on time, you should have no problems. She is very liberal-minded... She defended me on a touchy subject. :)

She is awesome! Definitely worth taking her class. She's funny and informative and the discussions in class are always good. Her tests are hard so you have to put in work to get an A. She tests from material covered during lecture AND from the book. You can track your grade through entire semester via blackboard. Offers some extra credit.

She is the best! I took this class with Zeeb and it was awful! I had to retake it and decided to go with Umali Kopp! In all honesty, she is the most amazing professor I have ever had! She comes off as really energetic and wants her class to be excited and involved as she is! Exam are exactly like the study guides! Online activities are easy!

She is very intelligent, nice and interesting, but her downfall is that she is very disorganized and takes a long time to grade assignments. She gives a study guide, but her tests are hard. If you study lots for them they are pretty easy to pass. If you can, do not take a once-a-week class. She misses class once and then 2 weeks are gone from class

Professor Umali Kopp has been one of my favorite professors yet. She is hilarious- so sarcastic. Most of the homework is online and her exams can be tricky. DONT PROCRASTINATE! Attendance is important but her class was well worth it. I would definitely take her class again !

She was an amazing lecturer! But honestly the book is not needed and our class did not have tests online like the other classes. Basically one kid said no for online test so we couldn't and that made the class hard because the tests were difficult. Study her study guide she posts.

A lot of her classes are flipped, leading to her class being lecture-based, but it's more of a discussion where the whole class can be involved. A lot of group activities and discussions as well. Tests aren't too hard if you read and take notes on her lectures online. Definitely not a traditional class.

This is my 2nd class with her, and I'll start off by saying she brings her personality to class and understanding that will make it more enjoyable. If you're very conservative and aren't interested in having your eyes opened, learning about yourself, and actively discussing and participating, you'll suffer through, but if you are, take her. Now.

Christine is such an amazing teacher. She makes everything easier. She breaks down all the work for you and you just got do the online quizzes and the tests. And ofcourse good notes will be needed in this classes. Besides that she is pretty chill, outgoing and hilarious teacher. I would definitely take her class again.

I really liked Christine's psych100 class mainly because she had wonderful lectures! She is also very funny and sweet. They weren't too informative where you got bored, but they also were not all discussion. The class was mostly lectures and little homework. There was 2 papers throughout the semester, and her tests were easy as well.

A really good professor! Yes, she'll be unhappy if you're late for the class, but this is a college class, not being late is required. Communicate with her if you got any trouble in this class, she will help you a lot. Her lectures were always funny. You'll have a lot of group works, but your grades depends more on homework assignments and exams.

Christine is not only funny, but extreme intelligent. She makes Psych clear and easy to understand, as well as enjoyable. Homework is light, tests are online. Go to class and it is a sure B, if not A.

I took Christine's online class, overall an easy A. Her tests are tough but as long as you pay attention to her lectures and watch the videos she assigns you will pass. I came into Umali Kopp's Psych 100 class as a Freshman in my Spring semester. This was my favorite class in Spring. She always came into class with a positive vibe and with a ton of energy. I thoroughly enjoyed her lectures the most. Just be ready to set reminders for tests/quizzes as they are typically assigned online over the weekend.

Very funny but also very firm. Does not accept any late class work, so if you there one day and take home a worksheet and fill it out but happen to miss the day she collects it, then she wont accept it. Tests are online and over the weekend. Quizzes online and unlimited. Never used the book. Electronics not allowed at ALL she will kick you out!!!

I took this class for summer session. I thought the class was very easy and interesting! Just do your assigned homework and study and you'll be fine. The tests are based on the reading/lectures, not anything difficult.

I took her course over the summer and had a positive experience. Yes, it was hard and I flunked my first quiz but recovered after being that I knew what to expect. I was really interested in her lectures & she inspired me to take more psychology courses in the future. Loved this course & wished it had been longer!

Took her for 2 classes and would take again. Amazing teacher but at the same time makes you work for your grade. Super kind, compassionate, and you could tell she loves what she does and cares for her students. Participating helped me learn in class and she encourages participation among her students

Great class relates topic to personal experiences makes class interesting

I had her for 4 weeks and she does a decent job at teaching such a class in a short amount of time. Her online lectures are thorough, but tests include all the material she posts on canvas, even things she doesn't say are mandatory. It's pretty easy if you take notes and don't fall behind. She also waits until the end to input discussions grades.

She's a great professor; however, she will take a while to grade papers and tests. Most of the time the excuses will be medical. She's quite liberal in her lectures too.

I took Professor Umali Kopp's online class, which had 4 exams that were not cumulative, 4 discussions, and 1 paper. She grades extremely slow. Her lectures are hard but fun. Study hard for the exams. You don't need the textbook if you study her lecture slides. She is kind and caring.

Professor Umali Kopp is VERY caring for her students. Show up to class everyday because the in-class assignments are worth points (some 5 points some 10). There are a few papers and exams, but nothing out of the blue. She gives plenty notice, and as long as you follow along the lectures you will be fine. I didn't use the textbook either.

One criticism of Professor Umali Kopp is that she doesn't grade anything until after the last class. The only grades you'll have until after the class ends are your test scores. Something else to note is when studying for exams take note the names of the people in the videos.

Dr. Umali-Kopp is a pretty good professor overall, my only problem was that she would take awhile to grade the assignments that needed to be graded. It's not hard to get an A in her class as long as you try and follow the rubric. Make sure to watch all of her lectures and take notes though as her lecture exams are heavily based off of her lectures.
