He has very fun lectures. The tests are department questions that are hard. Try to find someone with last quarters test from any teacher that will help!!! But he makes the class as fun as possible. HOpe that helpeD!
He is a very great teacher. His lectures were very interesting and his exams were fair. If you have to take this class, take him!
The test is not king the hard! But,you have to read the book page by page. He will review of the test, so you only study that page or chapter he said. The projetc is kind the hard,it have around 15 questions. you have to wirte as detail as you can.
this guy is cool. he teaches well and hes funny. just read the book and listen to his jokes. there is a project though, but if you enjoy marketing youll like the project. take his class!
TESTS ARE HARD. AVERAGE GRADE IN ON FIRST TEST IS C'S, SECOND TEST D'S, AND THIRD TEST F'S. HOWEVER, THE TEACHER DOES OFFER A PROJECT THAT IS WORTH TWO TEST SCORES THAT WILL BRING UP THE GRADE FROM TEST TWO AND THREE. HE'S COOL.
His lectures and tests come directly from the book. For the tests he tells you what pages to study from. If you know how to study and and do study you will do fine in the class. Since everything comes from the book, you dont have to go to class.
Great teacher, makes the class fun by telling a lot of stories that relate to material. Very easy to approach and takes tests straight from reading material. Highly recommend, and if taking Mktg 370, take him as well.
It was a good class. His term paper is a monster. Long but you learn from it. Make sure to do the term paper or your screwed. Gives examples but tends to read directly from the book at times. Personal stories are comedy.
He's a really great teacher. He is totally easy to approach and will help you in very way. The project is a killer...but you learn a lot from it. And he will be there if you have any questions. He is a much take.
This teacher is the Best. Soooo easy and makes the class fun. Just remember to do the online study guide which helps since his exams are straight from the book. The project is very easy and really helps. He practically gives you the full points on it. :)
His class is pretty entertaining, especially when he gives his personal stories about Stouffer's Frozen Food, Green Giant, Shasta, and others. His test are straight from the book, so I do recommend reading, hi-lighting, & studying the vocab & understanding the concepts. Some of the test ?s are tuff.
This guy is awesome. His tests are straight from the book and are not difficult if you read. He tells you the exact pages to study from. He is a really funny guy and makes his lectures worth going to. An absolute must take!
He is the BEST prof. EVER!!! His tests are kind of hard, but he gives you a study guide and he goes the extra mile to help you. VERY intertaining...laughed my head off! I TOTALLY recommend him!!!
He's a super cool teacher!! He's also willing to help international students. I enjoy going to his class everytime! He's lots of fun stories which relates to the class ^_^ Take Him!
Anicich teaches using real world experience, his story are entertainting and fun to listen to. He's one of the teacher I come everyday to listen to. The test are multiple choice and he gives you the pages in the book. The project is easy, the test are HARD with tricky question.
He is tough, but he is a really great professor
Fuuny, and great lectures but you HAVE TO STUDY for the tests otherwise dont take this class!!!! read the book. Scantron test, and big project toward the end. fair grader. is great if you just read the chapters!
he's funny as hell and that sure helps to make the lectures interesting. if you schedule your time for the porject, you shouldn't have to burn any midnught oil at all.
Cool teacher...Tests aren't that bad if you read the book. You don't even have to go to class just show up for the test. Tests are directly from the book.
He's one of the coolest teachers on campus. He makes learning fun and keeps his students interested. Although I'm doing average in his class, I still enjoy it. If I spent more time reading the book instead of listening only to his lectures I would definitely do better. I hope he curves.
He gives the exact pages to study for the exam, but he uses tricky wording. This makes his exams difficult, even when you know and understand the material he asks you to study. Extremely entertaining class!
His class is interesting, The tests are hard but he is always willing to help. READ THE BOOK. The tests are 100% from the book. Plan ahead for the project it is easy but can get long. Ask questions in class he will explain everything. He knows what hes talking about but can be long winded.
This class is awesome! You won't fall asleep with his jokes. Very clear and doesn't really read the final project; make sure you turn in early..extra credit. His first two exams are easy but last one is hard. 1st exam is pretty much a vocab test! Study from the pages he tells you and you'll excel the class. Good Luck!
Hard class but he is cool to listen to, study the book and go to class.
I do not recommend this teacher if you are concerned about your grade. He seems to take pride in how hard his tests are, and how poorly his students do. If you are interested in hearing real world stories about marketing, he is a good teacher to take. The tests come from the reading only, but they are very very hard, and are 80% of your grade.
Good teacher. 4 exams and 1 individual project. Each worth 20%. Each exam covers 4 chapters (16 chapters), no comprehensive final. Exams are kind of hard but he tells you exactly what pages on the textbook to study for exams. Project is a big help to boost your grade. Overall, great teacher
He's cool to talk to and is very funny, his lectures are great but all this means jack squat when it comes to learning marketing. Another annoying thing is he get's of topic and don't learn much for his tests!! test are hard as hell! I mean hard as hell, no bs. Study, study, study. Damn glad I passed.
Test arent hard if you read; he gives you the pages he wants u to study. I never showed up to class and got a B. Take him.
He's the reason why I majored in Marketing! nuff said
This is my second time taking him, he is a great knowledgeable professor, but his exams are extremely difficult, but its not his fault the head of the marketing department requires this course to be very challenging. His examples are interesting and they are more like stories but when it comes to the exam it is completely irrelevant. I actually t
anich is one of the coolest teachers i've ever had. granted, the course is pretty tough, but he genuinely cares about all of his students and wants to see them pass. his door is always open and he is very helpful if you go to his office hours. 4 tests 1 paper(really easy). highly recommend!
This is an awesome professor- he is funny, knows his stuff, and really cares about his students. I highly recommend him- just make sure to study his outlines well that is what he tests on. Cheers!
Awesome Professor. Tests are easy if you take the time to study the book. Lectures are very interesting. He is knowledgable and really knows his stuff. He also cares about his students!
Took his summer class. He is extremely knowledgable and sincerely cares about his students. His stories keeps you interested. His tests are tricky but everything comes out of the text book. Read everything very carefully and you will do fine on the tests. He also provided a study guide which was very helpful. Highly recommended!!
Great teacher. Extremely helpful and his life experiences help guide you through the last class you'll have to take. Very knowledgeable. Just enjoy the class and do what ever case analysis you have to do but he is there to help you. :-)
Just took this class in the summer and learned so much from him.. his stories are amazing and will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat... definitely take him if you want to learn about things you might encounter in the real world as a marketer... plus he does care about his students..
Took his class in the summer and it was very straight foward. If you read the book and used his study guide you would do fine on the multiple choice tests. He is very helpful in his office hours, and the paper was much shorter than during the normal semester. 5 pages oppossed to 20. Highly reccommend.
Great teacher! He's funny & always includes his own stories with the lecture... gives you study guides too, so it's easy to pass
BEST TEACHER EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Learned good stuff from his lectures.
If you only have one chance to take Marketing in your life, you should definitely go with Anicichi! You'll learn a lot of things from him! He's very funny and always sharing his stories which are also related to the materials!! 2 Thumbs UP!!!
Best Marketing teacher you can take for 353.. funny and very helpful! One big paper but if you turn it in early he will give you full credit for it.
He gives four multiple choice tests and one group project. His tests can be tricky, but he gives you a study guide beforehand. The information for the tests comes straight out of the book. He gives good lectures and has a lot of good stories that tie everything together. Overall it is a good class, but you have to work hard to get a good grade.
I didn't learn a lot
The class (department-wide) is difficult, but he's a good prof. Too bad that the department mandates an average GPA between 2.0-2.33
He is a great professor. He makes it fun, he has tons of stories. I will totally recommend him. He issues a 30pg group project.
Not a hard prof, but tells long winded stories that end up being sort of pointless. Exams are all book-based which makes going to lectures worthless. Nice guy for sure, but I wished the class, which only had 18 students, was more involved or lively.
You have to like his personality to like the class, pure and simple.
Really cool guy. Has a lot of great stories. The classes can get a little bit boring sometimes, but hes still one of my favorite professors. He tries to scare you in the beginning, but dont fall for it!! Its really not hard at all. The project is a lot easier than he make it seem. Take his class!
Really nice prof. First day of class tries to scare everyone off, however, he turns to be alright. Project is time consuming, but he gives you about 2 months to do it individually(suggest going to his office for advice). exam 1,2 easy. 3 is challenging. final is ok. Stories are fun, he's got lots! Nice prof. No HW, Just lects. seems to prefer girls
Professor is nice and tells lots of stories from personal experience. Although some people think they are pointless, they do help to reinforce the material. He kind of comes of as cocky at times. Tests aren't that hard, I think. He's a great guy.
He is a great Teacher!!!! Very helpful man, he makes the subject very clear. I like him, he is good. Take him, i highly recommend him.......................
best teacher ever, very nice and helpful. Go to his office hour for specific test study guide. study hard for the 2 and 3 exam
Okay plain and simple, the HARDEST class i've taken so far in school. The tests are very detailed orientated questions from the book. The project however is very easy. He even says it's the thing you should get an A in so that can save your grade, it sure did for me I used to not read and not study for classes but this class sure made me do it!
Great Professor! Take his class you will not regret it. His teaching method is pretty straight forward, no tricks. Make sure you read the material! Ladies, he acts a little like a kid so that makes him kind of cute.
Very interesting guy. although I totally think he exaggerates his stories! ha. The tests are harrrrrdddd. But he gives a good study guide. He's a cool teacher and has a lot to offer... I recommend him! I got a B-...thought I was going to get a B at least, oh well.
Professor Anicich is a very funny guy, he is very willing to help if you decide to talk to him after class or in his office. His exams are alright as long as you read the book even the pages he doesn't tell you to read because it helps you to understand the concept of the chapter which will really help you with questions on the exam. 1st test eas
awesome teacher!!! has lived a very interesting life.... basically, he skims through the book, finds a topic that relates and explains it with his life experiences. 4 conceptual multiple choice question exams, 20% each, straight from the book!!!, and one 20 page project (graded easily, almost everyone gets 100%) also 20%. not ez tho. i got a b-
This is the jackpot winner. Excellent teacher. Come to class, pay attention to his lectures, read and study, and you should pass. Lectures are entertaining with lots of real life examples. Asset to your degree. I thought much of the material was common sense you just have to become familiar with the business vocabulary and descriptions.
he is very funny teacher
One of the best teachers I could say I had at Cal State Fullerton. Don't let him intimidate you the first few days of class ... he's not scary!!! Stick with him and you'll be glad you did. My suggestion is to get to know him, participate and Don't Miss Class, his lectures are important.
Tries to intimidate you 1st day of class, but class turns out to be the opposite. Project is time consuming, put some effort in it, and he'll give you full grade on it. Nice guy overall, I got a C+ cause I didn't put too much effort on exams, but please do study, at the end, every point counts trust me. Tells corny jokes, and I liked his coke-can!
Exams are ok if you studied for them MC overall, there's a project which could boost up your grade put effort into that and you'll be fine, and u MUST read the book, thats the only way to study.
Just had Professional Selling with Mr. Anicich. Excellent class if you are going into sales. Read the book and study for exams and you will do well.
he's ok, people says he's easy but you have to put your time and effort otherwise you will struggle, first test is ok, second-fourth test, study for those. There's a 200pt project about 20pg long, grades it easy full credit! i don't think he curves at all. What ever point you get that's your grade.
don't let him scare you away first day in class. he's a great teacher..ones who make you feel relax and actually want to study. i got a B- after getting all C+ and 200pts on the project. make sure you do the projec, do not skip it. it will help your grade. just read the book and ask him for additional notes, he's nice about helping you.
He's very funny teacher, knowledgeble. He's willing to help student and care about them.Seems to prefer girl, but overall he's very CUTE!!
Don't be fooled and think ANY MKTG 351 class is going to be easy. It's a difficult class, but professor Anicich made it very interesting and easy to stay interested in the subject. 4 exams (mult. choice) and 1 term paper, 20% each. You are pretty much guaranteed 100% on the term paper if you do it. Great professor, highly recommend.
interesting class, 3 hours flew by with his interesting stories. Gives study guides for all tests though the tests are fairly difficult. You will learn a lot in this class, highly recommended
he is very funny prof. he talks about alot of his background stories its so funny..he gives us study guide.which is textbook page numbers. 3 tests and one huge paper(20pages)..tests are not easy..also he doesnot curve..so be careful..one good thing is his paper, as long as u do it you ll get 100pts.thats awesome..take him..
This prof was very funny and made class fun and entertaining. I took 7-945pm class and time is long but isnt that bad w/this prof. Lectures are easy to understand but exams can be confusing. Just read & study terms. Big 25pgs individual project worth 200pts but usually gives all 200pts for effort. Highly recommend who also curves end grades
Not a hard class. Tests are really detailed (as class progresses). Big 200 point project, not hard & he helps you with it. He helped me out with ideas. Constantly keep him updated and he'll give you hints and as much help as poss. He curves. I know I should have gotten B+ given my tests, but with the project and curve I got an A-. Really friendly.
Lectures are simply going over the textbook plus bunch of jokes. 4 midterms and 1 project weights 20% each. Exams are not easy unless you read the book 2-3 times. Exam papers are same version regardless the color. Many students never show up to classes but cheat on exams. The class average is jacked up, so there is no extra credit nor curve.
Lots of informations to study for but he's goes over every chapter throughly and his example are very helpful. Great teacher. Test are not easy but he curves at the end.
He sounds easy, but truthfully he's not, tests are extremely tricky, you MUST read the damn book to really understand marketing, take him at you own RISK. Good Luck!
Take another teacher if u can, don't recommend him, tes t are hard and tricky, has a sense of humor but who cares about that. grades are more important!!!
take someone else if you can, cool teacher but I don't like his grading, study hard. Test can be hard and difficult, overall you have to read read and read
Take him and see from your point of view. :)
Worse professor ever, I don't know why people like the way he teaches. We put a lot of effort in this class and in the end it wasn't worth it. His tests are really ridiculous, he will trick you to make it seem like there are more than one answer.
the class is really hard, i study a lot and end up w/ a C. He is mean by giving mostly C in the class. This class made my gpa drop too much. I regret it.
He's a very nice professor, good sense of humor but his teaching skills very boring. His tests were so hard, very tricky. I Studied very hard but still ended up w/ a low B. He said that he would curve the final grade but i dont think he did. Lots people ended up w/ very low grades.
One of the best professors I have had. Although his tests are hard, has great stories and lectures are interesting. Always wanted to come to class to hear his lectures.
Basically this class has no power point. I have to read the book to study myself. Exams are extreme tricky + hard. 4 exams and a project, no hw, no quizzes. I would recommend him to do power point when lecturing or give us study guide to help us for the exam.
He talks a lot about his own life... which somewhat help with the course concepts. Gets kinda annoying. You must read the book to do well on the exam. Exams weren't very difficult as long as you read. 20pg project, basically free 200pts as long as you do it. With the curve I got an A-. I did a pretty good amount of studying, but nothing crazy.
A class that actually requires reading. His lectures are an add-on to the reading, not as a supplement. His tests are fine, you just have to read the book. Do the project and its an instant A+. He will listen to you if you have a problem and will work with you. I would recommend him for anybody.
Exams were tough, but he curved each exam. He posted the study guides on the black board before each exam. Over all, nice professor! Take him
He is not super hard as people said. You really have to study (Read the book!!!). Tips for the exam, make sure you really memorize the name of term and Understand it. You won't really find straight forward Question. He is pretty good teacher.
Awesome teacher, knows his stuff, lots of real world experience. Very helpful w/the paper. Tests were a little on the hard, some questions were a little vague and had mult. answers that could used. Took during summer, there was a lot of reading. Got A- by reading book and studying 4 hrs for the test. Would recommend, had a blast, entertaining.
excellent instructor, willing to help...cares about students. AND WILL FAIL NO ONE...:) TAKE HIM PEOPLE....
Great teacher! Hilarious and cares about his students' grades. Tries not to fail anyone in his class so take him!
great instructor, cares about students, will not fail anyone, that is 100% sure. cracks joke. just study his study guides and you should get at least a "B" if not "A". Would definitely take him for other classes. I think he is is teaching 370 now.
Tests are based on the book and only get harder through the semester. Teacher uses alot of his life to explain concepts in the book. Class is based on 4 tests and a 15 page paper. I recommend him if you're willing to study a lot!
This teacher is aweome. SOunds to be like the previous rater is just mad because they did not study and earned a grade reflective of that. Anicich's stories are what made the class interesting. He did not need powerpoint slides because, unlike most professors, he knows the material forward and backward due to real-world expereince.
Great teacher!
Great prof! You'll need the book for the exams (Must read to get a good grade). He's funny, interesting, and understanding. Tells funny stories to keep you interested! Highly recommend him! There's a paper at the end of the year worth 200, but just do it and you'll get a good grade (he grades easy on it).
He is very difficult. His tests are extremely tricky and all of the multiple choice answers seem the same. I thought the entire course was a bunch of b/s. 4 exams worth 200 pts each. 1 paper woth 200 points. For a total of 1,000 points. Tricky exams, easy paper, but no extra credit. Easy C, but very difficult to get higher than a C in this class.
Great professor!!!4 EXAMS AND 1 PAPER. Test are hard if you dont study but paper is not bad you just need to do it!! He will pass everyone who tries...Take him!!!
Funny, nice, and knows his subject. One of my favorite professors I've had at CSUF.
He's not a good teacher. Test are long and can be tricky. You must read the book to really understand the info. Doesn't offer other work(extra credit/attendance points etcc) to improve grade.
This guy just reads from the book. Most people just show up for the tests. Once in a while, he'll throw in a bad joke. He's NOT helpful and classes drag on...
Test questions mainly from book, just read and you'll do great! He's funny too, and very helpful! =))
yes he tells jokes and sounds funny, but he doesn't really care about your grades. He basically reads page to page so what's the point of going to class? to be entertained!!!
don't take
This teacher is really great and helpful... Excellent Class!
I am not A grade in his class. I am still looking for a C on the last exam. However, I still recommend you to take his class because he is very cool and funny. An easy class if you try to ask questions in class or in his office. He likes student walk in his office with questions about his lecture and project assignment. Reading book is also helpful
Alright.. here's what you to do pass the class. 1. buy the book. 2. read the book. 3. use the access code to pull the online quizzes. The instructor himself does not create the exams. The exams are from the books author. The book isn't boring like econ or management.. it's aight. If you do all 3 steps you're solid. Anicich is PRETTY FUNNY.
Don't believe what these people say. He's doesn't pass everyone, thats what I heard. All the studying and hard work will pay off if you take sunil thomas.
Bring your pillow to class because this guy is boring. He just reads from the text book and occasionally throw in his two cents about a topic. If you can't read and you want somebody to read the textbook to you, then go ahead and take this guy. If you want to actually discuss Consumer Behavior take someone else!
Great Prof. easy class. Attendance is not mandatory so that is why many fail. Read the book, and listen to his lectures, reinforces what's in the book w/ personal stories and anecdotes. Funny guy, great class. Recommend the online quizes from the book, very similar to test.
Very good professor and knows the material. Highly recommend.
this professor is amazing! the material isnt hard but there's a lot of it. The class is very straightforward and prof anicich has great real life examples that he shares to tie in with the material. If you take the time to study for the exams you'll do fine. the project is a little time consuming, but he grades it very generously
Didn't mind going to class every day, his stories were interesting and he has a good personality. The material isn't too hard, info from the book is what you get on the tests. He curve's the final grade if needed, and there is a paper that is due towards the end of the semester, which isn't too hard to do. Would definitely recommend this proff.
Honestly I thought this class was going to be a breeze BUT when the teacher doesn't create his own tests from his lectures and pulls them from the author of the book, it makes the exams much harder. Tricky questions and not straight forward. 20 page paper (easy points with this instructor). Just read the book throughly and get ready for exams
Good teacher, but hard exam. curve all exam to make pass. like him a lot and suggest.
Professor was great. funny and had a good course vibe. Would definitely take again. Glad to have the experience that he had as I will need it in the real world.
Excellent Teacher with Funny Stories and great real-world experience. Definitely recommend!
I loved Prof. Anicich. :) He's a really cool guy, who's willing to help you out in his office hours. However, just because he's funny and chill during class, doesn't mean his tests are easy. You definitely have to read the chapters and work for your grade ~ duh. Regardless, I recommend him!
Great teacher. Makes an 8:30am class interesting. Tells lots of real-life stories that relate to the concepts. He's a funny guy too. Exams are not easy, you really have to read the book. Oh yeah, he assigns a 20pg paper due at end of semester.. but everyone seems to enjoy doing the paper. Don't be scared away by it! I really enjoyed going to class.
Professor Anicich is a really great professor. While his class may feel like he is reading the book to you, he is not. He doesnt have a PHD, but a decorated business resume. He ties in real life experiences and how they tie in. Pay attention he is funny and really helpful. I wish i could take another class with him.
I absolutely love this professor. He was really good in relating real-world stories to the text. His jokes were kinda ridiculous but they always made me laugh. I would highly recommend him to anyone. As long as you come to class wanting to learn and are willing to do the work you will be just fine. And it doesn't hurt he tries to make it fun.
Professor Anicich is a great teacher and down to earth as well. I took the class in the summer and he made the class go by fast with his interesting/funny stories that relate to the text. He explains what will be exactly on the test and he is very helpful. Without a doubt take this professor, you'll be glad!
he is very helpful and keeps the class fun with his lectures. the test are based only on the book, read the book and u will do well. he is a nice grader highly recomend his class
His class was great and he took such good interest in teaching the students. Easy to understand and relates the concepts to real life events. Definitely recommend taking. Kind of cute as well.
Very funny professor. Super easy to pass.
Funny guy, interesting lecture, you will learn. Exams are super hard cause they tricky. Read book or powerpoint are same, you still get D, so don't buy book. Which mean you need to A the 20 pages essay to pass, so find topic that you have lots to say. He'll just skim through so don't worry about grammars and just do your best.
Highly recommended! His jokes and stories always made me laugh so hard. Medium hard tests, but easy project. Take him!
Anicich is one of my favorite professors. He teaches the class differently than many other professors: simply by standing at the front, cracking the book open, and talking about each term. The key is he ties in everything with real life applications and gets beyond the theory. This is one class I suggest you read ahead and bring your book to class
I no its a cliche but he is seriously the best prof. ive had at csuf so far. I had him for a 3 hour class which i was dreading but the class went by fast because his stories were interesting. Midterms are decently easy if u put in the time and study for them. The paper, if u get checked prior to turning in, is easy and will boost ur grade.
Hes one of my favorite professors. Knows and explains the material well. It was the only class i did not mind attending all the time. Tests can be hard but you can still pass the class as long as you do the project and other assignments. Take him, ull be happy you did!
Chris is one of the best teachers i've had at CSUF. Extremely helpful and conveys the material so that you can understand it clearly. His test are not easy but if you study you will pass no doubt.
This is one of the best professors at CSUF. He really knows his stuff, and is not just an academic. Lots of experience in the real world and he is incredibly funny. Take this professor if you can.
Had him for a 3 hr lecture. Although long, he made it seem like a 1 hr lecture. Funny guy, ties in the textbook concepts with real world application which allows students to make a solid connection (rather than just memorizing all the terms and forgetting them after the exam). TAKE HIM!
Awesome Teacher. Keeps it fun while making good use of textbook material. Testing requires a good bit of studying but if you pay attention to his stories you will breeze through. Definitely recommend this teacher. Note: Have him for a 3 hour class and it goes by very fast.
Prof. Anicich was an amazing teacher and really helped the students learn the information... m definitely staying a marketing Major now!
Notice that a few people gave him high easiness ratings. This is because he is insane! My first attempt at 351 we did the 20+ pg paper with a group of 10 and Chris wants it done solo. Otherwise a great teacher, I just cannot forgive him for the paper. Thank god he's leaving to persue his own business!
GREAT professor. 4 exams and a paper. Exams really use material from book, so make sure you actually read the chapters. The paper seems crazy, but it's more time-consuming than difficult. Relates topics to real life and makes the class interesting. He is willing to really help you get a good grade, very nice.
He's extremely funny and a great storyteller!!! I know there is a huge age gap but I have the biggest crush on the man!! I did not miss any class and I read 70% of the text book. Ended up with an A-. I don't care, TAKE HIMM!!!
Take him!!! Don't let the 20 page paper scare you, he does most the work for you in writing the questions. You Just have to answer them in a paragraph or two and viola you have 18-20 pages. Tests can be a little hard, but he knows whats up. Extremely personable which is rare in a professor.
best professor at csuf! if every professor were like him, i would learn so much more and enjoy it too.
HARD class but this professor is very understanding and very nice :)
I was sad to finish this class since I enjoyed the lectures. Professor Anicich is a pretty nice guy and very funny. The tests can be a bit challenging, but I wouldn't say hard. There is one paper which he offers 25 extra credit points if you turn it in early... I would definitely recommend this professor!
Anicich is really funny, the funniest professor i've ever had. He will tell lots of stories that help you remember the topics but you must read the entire book. Tests are based on the chapters, overall class is not easy but you can get an A. Just make sure to take his extra credit opportunities it will improve your grade a lot.
Awesome professor, awesome class :)
Recommended! Class was fun and lectures were relevant and interesting. Exams are 8/10 on the easiness scale with 10 being really hard (I got B's on all of them, but ended with an A). Do the 20-page essay early as it will bring your grade up! Don't let the length scare you, because he grades it fairly easy.
He's funny and make the subject very interesting. Would highly recommend him. He throws a few questions from lecture into his tests. If you care about getting those questions correct then show up to class everyday. Midterm and final are decent. An writing assignment that must be turned in. I forgot the minimum number of page but its not so bad.
I didn't go to one single class and got a B+ in the class. I studied the blue pages in the back of the book, as well as the website that the book provides (do the media quizzes and the games). The final project kinda sucks, but he grades pretty easily on it.
Great teacher. Tells lots of funny stories, has a great sense of sarcasm/humor. Teaches right through the book, so I recommend taking it to class to help with taking notes. If you are in his once a week class, he can sometimes cover 2 chapters in one night. Overall, excellent class & professor! Definitely recommended.
One of the best teachers i have ever had. Tests are SUPER tricky, the average is a D for all his clases but he is willing to help his students pass. There is a 30 page paper that is assignment, but not that bad. He is awesome.
The guy is one cool dude, keeps lectures interesting with his stories/humor. There is a paper but its not as bad as its sound, its actually a fun project if you chose the right topic to write about. Tests are a bit tricky but nothing out of left field. Highly recommand.
Can't say enough good stuff about this professor. He truly makes every class interesting and fun. My favorite teacher so far at CSUF. Tests are straight forward if you read the book. The 20 page project seems daunting at first glance, but it is broken down into thirteen questions which makes it pretty easy to write. Start early though!!
Exams were very difficult and tricky. Had 3 exams and a cumulative final exam for a total of 4 exams. Exams were combo MC, problems, and essay. 20 page paper is time consuming. Class has heavy workload, not recommended if you want to pass the first time.
Its simple, focus on reading the book and semi pay attention in class and you will do fine. If your goal is to get a B or C then you don't even need to show up to class. If you want an A, you will need to show up to class because about 5-7 questions on each test are from lecture only. Also if you find group projects annoying then TAKE THIS CLASS.
He is the (insert expletive of choice here) man. Take him.
He is the best professor I had at CSUF! I added marketing to my major after taking this class because he made it such an interesting subject. It's not the easiest class in the world but he does his best to help you remember everything by telling stories and relating it to the real world. It helps to take the online quizzes before the exams!
My favorite marketing professor and maybe all time favorite prof at CSUF I learned so much in his class and he made me have an interest in marketing that I didn't have before. His test can be hard but if you do the online practice from the publisher before the exams you will do fine. You should go to lectures and take good notes.
I'm a MKTG major, int'l student and I love prof. Anicich, students who have failed in his class are obviously slackers. The tests are not hard but you have to study for it. This is not an easy A class. If you put good effort on the paper, it'd pump you up to a B or A in the class. His stories are awesome and hilarious. Take him if you're in MKTG :)
He's a great professor. Very funny. I enjoyed going to class to listen to his stories whether theyre true or not. The only bad thing about the exams are that you have a lot of concepts to remember and many are alike. One paper. It is very easy. You just have to compare three products.
Prof Anicich is a great speaker and orator. His stories weave into the material very well and he has to be my favorite professor at CSUF because you ACTUALLY learn about marketing! Highly recommend taking him, but its not an easy A - you need to study for the tests.
Tests very difficult, a lot of trick questions, 25 page individual paper, VERY boring lectures, inconsistent, rambles a lot, has a lot of complaints about women entering the workforce (thought that was kind of inappropriate).
Prof A was the best professor at CSUF. I'm a Comm major. loved how he engaged the class. Gained extra insight in the Marketing field. If you are a business/mrk major you must take him if you want to add to your knowledge. You must complete a 25 page paper comparing 3 similar products. stay up to date with readings. Tough but not impossible.
Really helpful and understanding! He tells tons of stories that drag on forever, but I enjoyed going to class. He's a really cool guy and does anything he can to help. There's a 20 page paper due at the end of the semester, but it's really easy to write it just takes many hours. I definitely suggest taking him!!!
By far the BEST professor at CSUF. Very interesting, has stories for days! Tests are somewhat difficult. Definately need to READ the book!! 20 page paper is time consuming. Overall, got a B in the class. GREAT professor!!
Great professor! Follows along with book along with interesting life stories. I recommend this professor! The class in general is hard it is a class based on terms.
Best professor I've had here! He has stories for almost every concept in the book which helped me SO much to grasp the material. Tests are hard, you must read! Essay is not hard it is just really time consuming start early! BUT overall HIGHLY recommend Prof. Anicich, taking his class definitely reassured me of what my career goals are!
95% lecture when I took his class. exams were comprehensive as if reading a short story. 5 possible answers for most of the questions. A lot of reading and definitions to remember. He knows the material very well and has alot of experience but I don't recommend
His tests vary in difficulty. He has great stories and will go way out of his way to accommodate his students. He is also very easy to get along with and wants students to learn. I really enjoyed this class.
ALL TIME FAVORITE PROFESSOR! Years from now I'll look back at all the things I learned from him and still remember his stories.
One of the best, if not the very best, Mktg profs in CSUF. I work somewhat hard for an A but it's doable. Take him!!! Again, take him!
awesome teacher take him for sure !!!!
awesome and funny teacher you'll love going to his class easy grader just study the book for exams
Prof. Anicich had plenty of real-world experience to share. Going to class was always a fun adventure. While the tests can be tough, most of the material is straight from the textbook. He assigns a long paper, but you can pick a topic that you are interested in.
Great professor. Very interesting to listen to. Tests are nearly impossible, but paper at the end will definitely boost your grade if you put any effort into it. He really is an awesome guy and his class is one that I looked forward to going to. If I could take him again I would. He's my favorite teacher so far at CSUF!
Straight and to the point. Has a lot of real world examples & entertaining stories. Test questions can be a little tricky but the paper helps your grade. Paper is time consuming but as long as you follow guidelines exactly you will get full credit
This class was harder than I thought it would be, but Professor Anicich made it worth it. Btw, he's kinda cute - I might just take him again. ;-)
I must say this class was really interesting.. This teacher knows exactly what he is teaching and has lots of experience. I didn't do good on the second exam or the final because i was lazy but still got a C while the other 2 i got A's.. Read the book and you will be fine. Great teacher, you will not be bored with him
Test are really hard. 25pg Paper is really easy but takes some time. Not like weeks but days if you want to do a good job. Test are really hard. His 5 questions that you get from attending class are the hardest even if you go everyday so don't worry too much about class attendance.
I was frustrated with this teacher in the beginning. His tests are impossible and he is one of those that cares about finishing the book more than anything, even if it means ramming chapter after chapter down your throat. He is very nice and funny. I came to like him. He has lots of long stories. In the end he curves so it worked out well.
Anicich lectures straight out of the book but gives department issue test questions so his questions have little (or often contradict) with his lectures making tests rather difficult. His personal stories are funny and offer some insight. Very easy class with 30 page project (which is not hard if you put a little work into it and space it out).
One of the most interesting professors I've ever had. Lectures from the book but gives great real-life examples and tells awesome stories (usually related to topics). Tests will be difficult if you don't read the book. Research paper was easy but long. Don't wait until the day before to write it like I did. It took me 13 hours straight.
Prof. Anicich had the BEST lectures ever! Lectures outlined the book & he incorporated real-life examples which helped me understand. Tests are tough because you have 50 terms per chapter & it helps to read the book. Research paper was long, don't wait til the last min! I did mine during thanksgiving break but it took up all my break. Start early!
By far the best teacher I've ever had. period. The only class I legitimately looked forward to I never wanted it to end!! He is very inspirational, knowledgeable, and experienced in marketing. He is also hilarious!! If your major is marketing you will take away so much from his class!! I wish he taught every marketing class
Must attend all classes he explains things with stories pretty interesting sometimes. I suggest skimming through the chapter before class to get an idea. Take notes while he explaining things he put examples from his lectures on test can help get an A or B. Would take him again.
I loved this professor as a person and he's one of the nicest guys around. HOWEVER, course was very disorganized. Tests are harder than you think, so study vocab and conceptual terms from the text (which you will need). His lectures are pointless as he reads page by page of text. 30 page paper and 4 tests is it. Wouldn't recommend him.
tests are extremely tough. you must read (and re-read) every word of the textbook. he goes off on tangents, but then he expects us to cover the whole book (20 chapters). would not recommend him for non-marketing majors. I tried my hardest and still only got a C.
Loved this class! Great professor, teaches well and is willing to help. However, tests are difficult - read the book, and I HIGHLY recommend making online flashcards and memorizing terms. Prof is funny and makes class enjoyable. Definitely approachable and helpful. Optional hw + 4 tests + 20 page paper. Code for online hw comes with study tools
Great professor! The exams were tough but if you read the book and attend lectures; you will do fine. The paper is easy but incredibly long so, don't wait till the last minute. I had a tough semester but Professor A was very accommodating and understanding. He is EXTREMELY funny which made the class enjoyable! Accounting major but liked his class.
20+ page paper, on what you want. Exams were really difficult.. Textbook looks easy, but the tests were REALLY difficult. His lectures are fun and he is a great person and professor. He emails on the status of test scores so you're not constantly waiting for it to be posted, greatly appreciated that.
Professor Anicich is such a cool and nice person;really love this guy. Tests are hard;you have to study a lot, but might see so many hard questions on exams that you don't know the answers. 20 pages project, but as long as you write something, you get full credit. He curves and boosts your lower score a little bit up if you do the homework.
Buy the book. Go to class. You will pass. Homework is optional. You should do it. Lecture is actually entertaining. If you pay attention, you just might learn something! Do the homework, attend class, you will enjoy his lectures!
What a fun lecture! I enjoyed his class and laughed, he has some great stories, but wow I struggled on his exams. Make sure you study! Then when you think you know it.... Study more. Studying is critical. Assigns one long paper to help boost students grades. He is a great teacher though. This is a passable class but you must read and study.
Great professor! Enjoyed attending lecture. Homework was a bit strangely formatted, but it was a good guide for what to study for exams. The 20+ page paper was not too difficult, but you MUST start early and pace yourself. He frequently updated us on the status of our grades. I highly recommend his class.
Great teacher. Tests are tough, definitely need to read the book to pass. Guy cracked me up the whole semester. By far the best teacher I've had at CSUF. One of the few classes I always enjoyed going to. Paper is long but not very hard. Stories seem like he may be rambling but always leads to a point that fits the class discussion.
Great lectures, enjoyed coming to class. One long paper but it is doable as long as you don't wait till last minute. He gives plenty of feedback and wants students to succeed.
He is super nice that I love to come to his class to listen to his story every week. Read the chapters before coming to class, you will do better in the exam. There are easy pop quizzes about the last lecture. four exams non cumulative. Books need to be read and memorize every single details in order to get A. CURVE at the end with 30 page papers.
Professor Anicich knows his stuff! His lectures are basically reading/discussing right from the book. The textbook is super easy to read and the etools help. The exams got harder and harder and were really tough. One 25 page paper that he gives you 3rd week of class and plenty of time to write and five "pop quizzes." Would definitely take again.
His name says Harry when you're searching for his class. He is very entertaining and explains the material well but his exams are tough. So if you want to get a good grade then u need to READ the book. If u want to pass just complete the 20 page paper. Easy but time consuming.
Such a good professor! I learned so much in his class and he actually made the class enjoyable. His stories are hilarious. I would definitely take him again! I will miss this professor. Show up to class and he goes over the textbook in his lectures. He tells you to cross out certain material that won't be on the exam.
I took professor A in Fall 2014, he was a great professor and his tests are not insane to pass. We had typical online homework but he lets you have a few attempts to complete it. He is one of the best professors I have had. He does have long stories that are all related to the topic. If you like stories this is your professor. Highly recommend.
Simple class. I enjoyed taking it because it's a fair class and the effort you put it in is what you get. 4 Exams; I received D,C,B,D respectively. I highly encourage you read everything he tells you to. If you go to class he gives you tips on what to focus studying on and also what he recommends you ignore. The final paper is long but doable!
One of the best business professors at CSUF! His stories are hilarious & made marketing interesting. Grades are based on: 4 exams- final is not cumulative; one long, but do-able paper; 1 quiz, 2 surveys, & a simulation assignment. Exams are pretty tough, but if you read then it's fine. Textbook is easy to understand & he crosses some topics off.
TAKE THIS CLASS! Professor Anicich is hilarious and relates his stories to the concepts. Tests are not that hard if you do the study guide and read the chapters. 20 page paper is very easy just don't procrastinate! He gives like 100 extra credit points and really wants his students to do well. No homework just go to class.
Professor Anicich has plenty of real world experience which he imparts in his lectures. The only problem is he seems to be having a lot of personal issues and this distracts from his lectures. I'm not sure if his personal problems cause him to tell the same stories over and over again. He rarely remembers where he left off from the previous class.
Anicich is awesome. Super funny stories, and his class got me thinking about marketing everywhere I go. I learned so much, leaving with a completely different perspective on marketing as a whole. Exams are straight from the textbook, his study guides are helpful. No homework, very chill/relaxed class. Really not that hard, just read the book!
Absolutely 100% best lecturer I've had. He is hilarious and has so much experience to bring to the stories. Gives examples from his past rather than hypothetical. The 20-30 pg paper scared me, but it was super easy and hard to keep under 30 pages. As for the tests, I don't know how people did bad. Know the definitions and easy B minimum on them.
This professor was truly inspirational. I loved his stories and experiences in life. You must go to class to pass since the class is very lecture heavy. Don't be scared of the huge project due at the end, as long as you put in the effort, you will get an A on it.
Need to be well-prepared for this class to do well on exams, they are all lengthy and he adds in a few tricky questions so take your time. 20-30 page paper due at the end which isn't too difficult, I spent days working on mine and he lost it. so yeah that was great.
No homework, just 3 exams and a 30ish page paper due at the very end of the semester which is not difficult at all (just don't procrastinate). Anicich is extremely passionate and experienced which shows through his insightful and straightforward lectures. I wish he taught every marketing class at CSUF.
Best Marketing professor ever. There are no homeworks, just exams , quizzes might be and one easy & fun paper assignment. Tests are tough because of too much material. His lectures are kind of fun stories ( didn't feel like a marketing class at all). Overall, I would highly recommend him to anyone.
Stories r ok. U cover EVERYTHING in book. Summer class prepare to work ass off for ok grade bc tests so hard, some of questions dont even make sense. Test n lect/chapt dont correlate. He eases up to kiss your ass for a good review n bombs you at end w/ final n says, ha,ha, now Ive got your reviews, I can make the tests hard again" u pass tho
Professor Anicich is one of the best I have had at CSUF. His lectures are very interesting and fun. His tests are difficult but you will do fine as long as you read and attend class. Book is used heavily. The 30 pg paper is totally doable and he gives a bunch of extra credit because he just wants everybody to pass. TAKE HIM he's a funny man.
VERY NICE PERSON
He's a very experienced man in the marketing field. Full of stories related to the course material. Study his lecture notes and the book. His stories relate to the exam. There's a 30 pages paper due at the end but its relatively easy; do like a page a day and you'll be fine.
Take his class if you want to flunk all your other ones. Way too many exams - 3 + 1 final. Online simulation. Quizzes. 30 page paper. Licensing courses online just because he took away ONE quiz. His class is way too time consuming and his exams are inconsistent. Take it if you are currently unemployed/ have crap ton of time.
he has stories and examples for most of the concepts you learn which are fun to listen too. Tests are surprisingly hard, you will need to read the book if you dont listen to his lecture. there is one big paper you do for the class but it is easy if you dont procrastinate. Overall, just show up to class and pay attention and youll have no problem!
Great professor! Very nice and caring. Lots of practical stories. Tests are hard but final is not cumulative. The 30-page paper isn't that bad. You'll learn a lot from it. It's not an easy A but it's not hard to pass the class either. He genuinely wants help students. As long as you put in the effort, you'll have fun, learn a lot and good grade.
This guy is extremely funny and is very knowledgeable of the material, but his exams are ridiculously hard. This class was just miserable because of that. He needs to curve the class by several percentage points to make it even fair. Good luck!
Prof. Anicich is good. Has lots of stories from his previous marketing career, which are pretty entertaining. He lectures just by talking, but other than his stories which he sometimes includes in tests, your best bet is to read the chapters for the tests. 4 tests, each is about 5 chs., a simulation, 3 quizzes, and a 20 pg paper. Not a hard class.
He lectures the entire time, but its mostly stories to apply to the concepts. Read the book to pass the tests. Study the concepts. I think the course structure will change because of department rules, but he is a great professor. I don' t think you can go wrong with taking him if marketing is not your major and you'reforced to take the class
The class is extremely lecture heavy. The exams get more difficult after the 1st exam, so make sure you score really high on that one. Exams - study the definitions and know how to apply them to scenarios and you'll be fine. He cut the paper down to a 15 pg paper, but gives you the whole semester to do it. No homework either, so that's a plus.
4 Exams, a 12 Paper Project, and free 100 points on Lynda & Simulation projects. He mostly lectures on his stories, but gets sidetrack quite often. Tests are textbook heavy, so if you want to easily pass the class, just read the textbook. Only 5 test questions are on his stories. No Powerpoints are presented either, it's him just talking.
Chris is a funny professor, his class lectures are based on life stories and similar to the book. His exams can be hard so get ready to work hard for that A or B. The project is on the topic of your choice & fairly easy if you look at his samples. You get easy points from the simulation & Lynda so do them! You will never have hw besides reading.
You need to read every single chapter in order to do well in exams. He's really nice and willing to help students. Lectures based on textbook, and his real experiences. Long personal project but he gives clear instruction. Highly recommend if 351 is the one you must take.
Love him!!! His lessons are from the book, but adds his personal experience to drive it home. His humor is not for everyone, but had me laughing EVERY class. There are 4 pop quizzes that he gives info about ahead of time. There is a simulation, paper and certificate that are easy assignments and 3 exams. He is one of the best professors at CSUF!
Get ready to read the book and take careful notes in class if you want to do well in Exams as they are tough. Grades mainly comes from there. If Marketing is not your major and looking to fulfill this class for requirement I'd avoid. Take another professor.
The test for all marketing exams are scenario based, but the professor makes it as easy as possible. He tells you when there will be a pop quiz and on what chapter. His instructions for the semester are clear and concise. There is simulation that you need pay $15 for and an essay. He grades very easy, just do the assignments.
Chris is such a great guy. He has had over 25 years of experience in the corporate world and illustrates his experience through lecture. The tests are really hard, but as long as you do the paper and simulation properly you should get a C+ and if you excel on participation and the assignments a B. I learned a lot in his class.
