His tests r a little difficult, u have 2 study & read the text if u want 2 get a good grade. Though I thought his class was pretty fun, the person who wrote the 1st comment doesn't know what they r talking about. If anything, he knows what he is teaching because he has gone through it & has told us many stories that makes the class interesting

I also strongly disagree with the 1st rater's comments, Bloh does know what he is talking about and is very enthusiastic...He has a ton of outside experience & loves sharing it. The tests are moderately difficult, but they are testing your knowledge, so study & you;ll do well. A lot of groupwork as well, very innovative & enjoyable class.

Whoever rates this Prof bad is an IDIOT!! Take him he knows exactly what he is talking about. He has lots of classroom experience. Groupwork was great! His quizes are easy to study for. He puts all his notes ahead of time on Blackboard what more could you want!! I loved this class!!!

I had this class as a 3 hour night class and it really wasnt bad. This guy knows his stuff. His stories about his teaching experiences are so funny! His tests can be a little hard and confusing but they are def doable. Def take this professor you wont regret it.

I would not recommend this professor. His lectures were nothing more than powerpoint presentations taken from book material. Tests (quizzes in his words) were ridiculous! There were always a lot of questions on statistics which I don't believe is relavent to special ed. I think individual disorders are more important. And, hot? Not! Meathead.

His stories were interesting and the info was good. I didn't like the grading rubric at all. Everything in the class was worth too much. So if you got 1 question wrong on a quiz you had a 99 in the class. The whole semester was based on 100 points. The good thing about him though is if you went to go see him he helped you alot with the quizzes.

Easy class, once a week. Need to attend every class though, but it is actually interesting and helpful. No tests or quizes just journal entrys every week or every other week.

Dr. Bloh's experience as a Special Education teacher allows him to share a lot of interesting scenarios. I enjoy his class. He tells a lot of jokes which makes it fun and easy to pay attention. It is difficult to get an A, but I would recommend taking the course because you learn a lot of methods and techniques to use in the classroom.

Dr. Bloh is an AWESOME professor. He has much knowledge of the field. Learned so much in his class. Will push you to work hard, but in the end you learn so much. Go to class and take notes on the power point. Also tells jokes and real life stories which makes the class interesting and funny.

Dr. Bloh is a great prof. He does push you but in the end you'll realize he did it because he truly wants you to succeed and get the most out of his class that you can. He'll explain things in different ways if you don't understand and he's very helpful. Really nice and funny too, which is always a plus! I reccommend him!

Dr. Bloh is very experienced and it shows when he?s teaching. If you have difficulty understanding the material, he is always willingly to help you. It?s obvious he doesn?t want any of his students to fail. He's laid-back, down-to-earth, and very flexible as long as you explain to him what you?re having difficulty with. Love, love, LOVE Dr. Bloh. Just a really genuine guy. Cares that his students do well. Goes over things over and over again until material is understood. Tells you exactly what is going to be on the tests. One of the best professors ive had here at KU. :)

Bloh is a professor who makes you work for your grade. He does this for a reason. You actually learn! He makes directions very clear and doesn't beat around the busy. He is an extremely nice guy who is there to teach and help you learn what you need to. You will want to go to any class he teaches.

Interesting class. Highly knowledgeable, tells funny stories related to material. 10 point tests are pretty tough. Book report or three observation hours are required. Coteaching assignment due at the end of the semester. Textbook is the biggest waste of $112 ever. Opened it three times, very unnecessary.

Class is very fun to go to especially for a morning class! All of the tests are application which seems overwhelming, but if you go to class and know the material you will do well. I still remember how to do everything from first week of class! You need to apply yourself, but the class is very interesting!!

I believe that there are teachers that get it and he is def. one. Interesting stories that pertain to real life events in Spec. Ed. Favorite teacher so far in KU and believe that the university seriously needs to get more teachers like him. Only Class I enjoyed all semester.

Dr. Bloh is an awesome professor. I had him early in the morning, and it is never too early for a good laugh. He tells really relevant and funny stories, and you can tell he enjoys teaching. This is a very memorable class for me. He inspired me to become a good teacher, and persuaded me to be the chocolate chip cookie!!

When I came in to the education department, I was a general Ed. major. I wasn't even considering Spec. Ed. until I had Dr. Bloh's Intro class. I switched majors after having him. He is the best prof I have had up to this point. He has made a huge impact in my life as a future educator. Want a challenge and an awesome prof? He's the prof you want.

Amazing professor. He is extremely knowledgeable and willing to help anyone. His tests are hard but as long as you study the notes and the book you will do fine. There is a co-teaching plan at the end of the course but it is very clear what he wants and is expecting. One of the best professors at KU!

Very good! Had Dr. Bloh last semester when Dr. Dietrich was out. He was thrown in into the course and made it interesting, and we only had a midterm and final. Tests were application(just like BD) but very manageable. Talk to him if you have an issue, he wants to help you! Not really good at answering emails though.

If someone doesn't like Dr. Bloh then it's because they don't want to. Easiest man to get along with and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Yes you have to go to class, IT'S UPPER LEVEL COURSES -- get over it. Ask him for help and he is more than willing and he will always clarify. Follows the syllabus and gives great application examples!

Dr. Bloh really knows his stuff and explains everything very well. A couple of things to note on: GO TO CLASS, he notices when you don't. READ RUBRICS, you'll lose lots of unnecessary points otherwise. TEST SMART, answer all parts of the question and give examples that explain your answers. He can be arrogant, but he is an awesome teacher.

His tests are very book heavy and hard, but he offered extra credit on each test to give you more points to pass. His teaching stories are entertaining, hilarious, but sometimes inappropriate. As long as you read all the chapters, study your notes from in class, GO TO all classes, and complete the required observation, you should get at least a B.

I think Dr. Bloh is definitely challenging but his anecdotes and fun personality really bring the course to life. I think professors that have high expectations for their students is what really makes the Special Ed. Dept. at KU so awesome, and he's definitely included in that. I'm very grateful to have had him!

Dr.Bloh made this class very entertaining. His stories always made the class laugh, he made sure he knew everyone's names and he surprised us with dunkin donuts and homemade icecream! If you need help he wont turn you down and he is very easy to talk to. He rounds up for grades which I find awesome! I recommend him for any SPU course!

I've had bloh for several classes and he is also my advisor. In the beginning I didn't like him very much.. I thought he was conceited and rude. He does kinda have an attitude, but he is a wealth of knowledge and experience. Take his jokes lightly and DO YOUR WORK AND BE PROFESSIONAL. Lateness is not ok, and do whatever you can to not miss a class. His tests tend to be random so study hard and hope for the best. Go to his office, don't email him. Loves to see effort! He really is a good guy

Very insightful. He has a lot of experience and uses that in throughout his class. He's a very entertaining. He doesn't like email, he prefers face-to-face communication. His tests are very challenging because of the way it is worded. Show up to class and do well on the observation and you will do just fine in the class.

Great Professor! The class itself is very interesting, and you learn a lot of real world applications. BUT the tests are very hard, you have to study mostly from the textbook.

Dr. Bloh is outstanding! His class flew by every time. He is so entertaining, thorough, personable relatable. Though his class was at the end of my day, I always looked forward to it! I feel 100% more prepared and inspired. He completely changed my perception of this job. Must take!

Overall, this was the most difficult yet interesting class I have ever taken. DO YOUR BIP WAY BEFORE ITS DUE! And go and meet with him about your BIP. I went from an A to a C all because of the grade on the final and BIP. I am still grateful for all I learned though.

Bloh is very up front with what he expects. His class is more like a discussion and he loves hearing your personal opinion and input about things and he will clarify without sugar coating anything. some non spu majors find his testing difficult while spu majors seem to strive. I would say you need background in special ed before taking his class.

Awesome professor. He makes you think while providing you with information. He makes the class very entertaining because he is so animated. If you pay attention, you will learn something. Although he can go off topic, I found it easy to pay attention because he is very direct and a great public speaker. On top of it, he is hilarious.

He is very passionate about his subject, which makes the class a lot more enjoyable. There are a few tests throughout the semester, which you will need to study for, but he won't put anything in it that wasn't talked about in class. There are also two online quizzes. He is a great teacher and highly recommend him. He wants you to succeed.

He is extremely helpful! You have to work for your grade and make sure you're not frequently late or absent because you will lose points. By far my favorite professor here at Kutztown. He teaches the material in depth and is willing to help as long as you ask questions. Make sure you visit him weekly for your BIP, that will ensure the grade you want because he will help you as you go. He can be tough but he cares about his students, if you work hard then your grade will reflect that!

Great professor. You can tell he loves what he does and he does teaches you what really matters and what you will need in the field. He is very honest about everything which is very helpful and he gives real life situations that he has encountered in his career. You have to work for your grade, as most of the points are dependent upon tests.

He is an okay professor. He talks a ton and says a lot of stuff that doesn't make it on to the test, but he tries to make it clear that it won't be on there. Make sure you go to class, your grade drops if you miss more than three classes. I didn't buy the textbook and I got a B+. Show up, take decent notes, and listen in class- you'll be fine.

He wants you to show up to class every day. It's a lecture class with participation that you need to just do and accept. If you miss one day of class, you'll feel like you've missed a good bit of information. He doesn't have many grades for the class . . . do well on the tests. He tries to be accommodating and is in certain circumstances.

Stresses your attendance & participation in his class which plays a huge part of your grade. Addresses assignments one time during class & won't go back to them unless someone asks questions (no reminders on due dates). Expects you to meet with him during his office hours (all during the day). 3hr night class was easier than traditional course.

Dr. Bloh is the best professor I have had so far at this university. While his classes are challenging it forces you to really learn and understand the content. I LOVED taking Dr. Bloh's class, but it was nowhere near easy. In order to be successful in this course you must attend class, ask questions, and actively participate. He teaches using real-life examples and focuses heavily on application. Make sure you study, go to his office hours, and meet with him as much as possible for the BIP!

dr Bloh seems intimidating at first but if you pay attention and take detailed notes you will have no issues. His assignments are easy, but the tests are paper and pencil so prepare to write a LOT.
