I believe that if you are serious about acting you MUST take his class!There is not one day that you don't have an amazing time. As long as you are on time, show up, and over all just show that you are putting EFFORT, you can earn an easy A.

Wow, he can make a class so fun! The material is really easy, Chris brings great charisma and clarity with it. You don't need the textbook, only the lecture guide which is like $12. I recommend everyone this class, to fulfill the arts section on IGETC. He's also really attractive, funny, and gets along well with all his students. Got an A.

Chris is awesome! He is very passionate about theater and a terrific actor. He has a way with people and makes each one of his students feel important and heard. I highly recommend him whether you are interested in acting or just looking for a fun elective!

His class is really interesting and fun with acting games and exercises. You do a textbook assignment from a small booklet that's less than $9. When the semester is over, you have to have a monologue memorized which is a huge portion of the grade. Attendance is mandatory because he will take points off if you don't show up! CLASS IS FUN!!

Great teacher! Wasn't into theatre before his class but he surely makes it interesting! highly recommend to take his class! Class was easy and fun, makes you act but he doesn't judge on how great you are just your effort he makes it a fun process tho!

Best professor I have ever taken in my life. This guy knows his stuff. He has real experience in the entertainment industry and he is the go to guy if you ever need help in any aspect of your life. He is so inspirational and passionate about his work (RARE in my opinion). I would fail his class on purpose just so I can take it again!!!

It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. Albert Einstein Chris did this with every student in the class. Amazing experience.

Best director I have ever worked with. His ability to give you that one comment or suggestion that makes your entire performance better is sometimes unbelievable. Ive never seen a director who could do this with every actor in the cast. If you are an actor, you need to do a show with this guy.

I experienced breakthroughs in this class and so did several of the other students. If you want increase your acting abilities take this class.

I took Theatre arts 100 for winter intersession 2016, and his class are super easy! It's an easy A. I'm sure everyone in this class gets an A! The test is online on blackboard, and you get to use your notes. But to be honest this class was fun and interesting!

Not your typical history class. No book or heavy paperwork. Interactive and fun! I would definitely say Chris is one of my favorite teachers. He seems to make a lasting impression on every one of his students. If you're looking for an easy class that's fun and you actually learn something this is it.

I'm not a big fan of school, just trying to get through gen ed. But I gotta say, I actually look forward to this class unlike my others. He's a pretty cool prof. Take him.

I am so glad I took this online class. Cannon's THEA100 is very easy to navigate and interesting. Basically, there are several class discussions, a few MCQ quizzes that are very easy to take, a few essays, and a final. loved the videos we needed to watch for HW. HIGHLY recommend for GE credit or just for fun! Amazing teacher.

Chris Cannon is AMAZING!! Super nice! Coolest professor! is passionate about what he does! Easy A. Quizzes are online based on notes taken in class. The last month and a half is just focusing on your final because it takes time to do. Gives extra credit if you attend his shows from the other classes he hosts on campus.

EASIEST class Ive ever taken. Seriously all you do is watch movies & then take ridiculously easy quizzes based on the movie. Each quiz is 10 questions and are multiple choice. This is for GEN ED - SO YOU GET CREDIT!!! By far the coolest prof. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!

Chris is the most compassionate professor I think I'll ever meet. Had a family emergency, notified him, he worked with my needs and I was still able to earn the A! He really cares about students. Not to mention really fun!

Just finished summer sesh with Cannon and, man, this class was amazing! This was my first online class, and honestly, I was a tad nervous. But as expected he made this experience incredible, super fun and very easy. Not my first class with Chris; I've taken TA100, TA110, TA113... all dope. Bummed there aren't any more classes I can take with him.

It was practically stress-free, so I was able to enjoy it and not have to worry about getting a low grade. Even if you just need credits and want an easy class, take him! You won't regret it.

Took 4 week online class. Highly recommend. It was a really fun class. Enjoyed the discussion boards and the reading. The project was really fun, you get to cast actors for your chosen play. Love how the professor made the class very enjoyable to learn about! Take this class!!!

Chris Cannon was great on helping me with my online class. When I had a question, he was on it on answering. He also made the class fun and easy. No mid-term or final. All you do is watch movies, take easy quizzes, and post and reply on discussion boards. Thats it.

This class was the most fun class I ever had in this college. If you get a chance to take him do it. You would be really lucky to get into one of his classes. Ive taken two of his online classes and they always fill up real quick. Professor Cannon is really kind and helpful. Hes better than the rest of the professors in the department.

This class was a last minute add as the school I was transferring to didn't accept THEA100 as an art, but this class was amazing. I really enjoyed how he presented the material of theater history very differently by relating it to movies that were not an absolute drag to watch. Make sure to pay attention to the movies. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLASS!!

Great professor!! It was a last-minute class (I took Spring 2019) but the best decision. I am not a theater major but it was a great opportunity to get out of my comfort zone. We had a monologue and a skit at the end of the course. Overall, great professor and a great class.

This was actually my first semester for this type of class and I learned so many interesting things. Honestly, if you're looking for a good Intro Course that's transferable you should take Musical Theatre History. It's like a film history class - you read brief content, watch movies, and take really short and simple quizzes. Awesome course!

I finished taking introduction to theatre as a spring intersession class. Professor Cannon was very caring, flexible, and accessible. For the final, we got to do a project instead of an exam. Great class! I would take him again!

This has been my favorite class at SAC. Professor Cannon is a great teacher and extremely supportive! The films were a fun learning experience and the list was well thought out for each module. They were not films I would have normally chosen to watch, but they were really good. I truly enjoyed each one of them.

I really enjoyed taking this class because of it being online and during my last semester at SAC so my life was really flexible and the homework deadlines were always reasonable. We also got like 5 chances to take quizzes and discussions are very straightforward. Never watched the movies in the class and still did well

No textbook, watch yt videos about topics and respond. DB posts, reflections and final project using elements of theater to adapt a play or musical (template provided). Graded timely and Prof. is responsive. From beginning to end, class is cohesive leading you to the final project.

Daily discussion boards that weren't that hard to accomplish there are quizzes every other week which mostly are multiple choice but a few are essay questions. Multiple chances to take quizzes. doesnt give extra credit. no final or long papers to finish. he lets you finish at your own pace so you can finish as soon as you want.

I wasn't quite sure about this class because I'm very shy, but I ended up really enjoying it. It's a fun class and Prof. Cannon is good at helping students feel as though performing is nothing to be afraid of. I appreciate what he does and am excited to take another class with him.

I took this class for a transfer credit to Cal State Long Beach where I just graduated with my bachelors in acting. Chris has been one of my favorite acting teachers. He gave great advice that I was able to use at Long Beach. This class also allowed me to have a lot of great acting experiences I know will help me in the future. Highly recommend!
