Mr. Chronin is an awesome teacher. He goes over the material very well. He shares his power points with you through Moodle and he's always sharing silly ways to help you remember the information. Even if you don't love science he does his best to make it interesting.

Prof Cronin was wonderful. Admittedly, I am a bit of a science kid, but I still think his class was awesome. He's funny and very helpful. He's also very clear on what you need to know. Plus, on review day he gives you cake pops (or chips).

Everything needed for the exams were covered adequately in the study guides. Between attending class regularly and thoroughly studying the blueprints, achieving an A was fairly simple.

Professor Cronin is helpful, funny, interesting, and a very good instructor. One of best parts of the class are the really interesting facts Cronin would share, it was relevant really world information. I think given a chance he could make any person interested in biology.

The best part about this 8:30 class was that it wasn't mandatory. Cronin was amazingly helpful even if you didn't attend class, and was quite willing to extend due dates on the online assignments if you happened to forget to do one. Great class!

Before taking this class, I had no understanding of biology despite taking biology and AP Biology in high school. Cronin presented the information in a way that finally made sense to me. His humor is also excellent. Attendance is not mandatory, but I wanted to attend his lectures.

Excellent teacher for Bio 105 and Bio Lab. This teacher makes a difficult subject easy. He offers extra credit for working in a group. I suggest working in a group because it makes class ten times easier.

Awesome teacher ! Mastering Homework and when it was actually put up was a tad confusing but , he was always willing to adjust the due date , still can't complain easy going teacher. If you are there to learn then there is no way you will fail with this teacher he practically hands you an A.

I really enjoyed this class. I had Cronin for both his lecture and lab class. He makes the material easier to understand, he is nice, and he will help you if you need him to. If you show up to his class, do all of the assignmentsquizzes, and do the blue prints to prepare for the test then you will do fine!

I think Cronin understands his students to the fullest extent- this is what makes him so dedicated to making sure his students do know their material. He's everything you could hope for in a Biology teacher. He makes learning the hard concepts easy and is willing to help if theres something you don't understand. He encourages discussions in class, and is usually there with a few jokes to make you laugh while your learning.

One of the top professors, in my opinion, at SCC. Very passionate about the subject he teaches which makes it a lot easier to listen and pay attention to. Extremely helpful with things you need or don't understand. Majority of class is lectures, everything else you do on your own time with help from the book or notes. Definitely recommend him!!

I learned a lot from this class and Cronin is really great at making the information accessible. He also takes the time to answer your questions even if they are difficult. More than once he did research on his own time and came back with information for me. His lectures are easy to follow and his blueprints were a big help.

Me. Cronin is a good teacher. His lectures are clear and good. The only 2 flaw are; online site for quizs does not show the answers after completing, can not tell which questions were incorrect and the study guide was a little general and not precise. Great teacher but class requires lots of attention and more time studying than others.

Mr. Cronin is the super-dense black hole of excellent teachers. Prospective students should be forced to fight to the death for a spot in his class. I took both his essentials and general level Bio courses and not only passed with flying colors, but have become a life long lover of the biology sciences. He is the best teacher I have ever had.

Mr. Cronin is a teacher I would have to recommend to anyone who wants to take BIO- 105. From the beginning, he explains his grading systems. If you're good at tests, you can get an A on his final and get an A in the class. He is very laid back and his lectures are ones that will stick in your mind so you will not forget the material.

Chris is an amazing teacher, however he does have an online class. If you're like me and don't like going to class I would highly suggest taking his online one. The in Class-Class gets a little bit harder if you never show up. Also through out the whole semester just do the buffet path don't get lazy, it takes like 20 minutes. Take him!!

Needed a science class for non science orientated degree. Won the lottery with this teacher. By no means an easy A without going to class and doing the homework but he gives all of the tools needed and quick response to mails.

This professor is awesome. I learned so much! Not only did I learn the course material, but I learned little interesting facts about life around the world. He's very knowledgeable and excited about what he's teaching. He offers many examples and similes to help you remember difficult concepts. I also enjoyed the way he structured class.

Cronin genuinely cares about you and how you do in his class, he understands exactly what we are going through and is willing to work with you. The passion he showed, helped me decide my major.

In the beginning of the semester, Cronin said that he enjoys seeing students who do not have a strong interest in Biology or science in general come in and by the end of his class find enjoyment out of it. This was true for me, I have taken Biology in high school and I did not enjoy it like I did Cronin's class. He is great and an amazing teacher.

Take this class with Cronin!! What I liked best was his different ways of grading. If you're not a good test taker, he'll incorporate homework and group quizzes into your grade to help. But if you hate homework (like me) he'll just use your 2 test grades. I got a 75 on the midterm but a 92 on the final so I got an A for the class!

I would definitely recommend him. He has online quizzes and assignments that you need to read the textbook for, but you also don't HAVE to do them. Listen, This Professor is pretty rad, I came into his class already knowing half the material but he did a good job at explaining things. If you want to pass the class the basics of any class passing follows: 1 Show up 2 Listen 3 Sit close(front row is the best) 4 Take notes as needed 5 Review and make sure you know it. don't be annoying

I loved going to Cronin's class this semester! He is always willing to help and he makes the class very interesting! I would recommend him to anyone! He understands the struggles a student goes through & has set up the class based on it. Definitely take this class with him!

As a teacher, he's great. He'll be happy to meet with you during his office hours and is very open to meet outside of them. He really wants you to pass. There's a midterm and a final and that's it, but regardless of your grade, you have to get a combined 60 to pass the class. Just be sure to keep your phone in your pocket!

Mister Cronin is by far one of my favorite professors ever! He is more than willing to help you understand the material and will go out of his way to answer any questions. He cares about his subject and wants his students to learn. If you take his class don't use your phone or eat, give him the respect he deserves. If you try hard you can get an A.

He's a very well-rounded teacher, he offers you three pathways to be successful in the class! If you fail your mid-term and pass your final he'll take your mid-term grade and place it with your final grade.

If you ask about something that you forgot you read in the syllabus, he will just tell you to re-read the syllabus rather than answer the question. He had major anger outbursts because students were being disrespectful by eating or using their phones-don't do those things! He loves teaching biology and makes it interesting. Only 2 tests.

I'm almost certain that Mr. Cronin has some kind of teaching background. He does a great job teaching the subject as opposed to just relaying information. I think some activities in the class could be added because there is a lot of lecturing. However the lectures are very good and comprehensible. Overall he is one of better college professors.

Need a science credit? Professor Cronin is a solid choice. If you don't mind putting down your phone for an hour, and are able to put forward some effort, I think you will enjoy this class with this professor! His passion shows through his exceptional teaching, and lectures are concise to the point.

This man managed to do something that no other teacher/professor/instructor has ever been able to do: keep me interested. This is the only class I've ever taken where i didn't look at the clock ONCE the entire semester. He spoke and presented the material in such a way that i found myself wanting more after every class. I could go on and on. 10/10

You will spend time in class lecturing over chapters. He is very anti-technology in terms of using them in class. A phone out will get you kicked out. But he is totally reasonable. Loves questions, enthusiastic about his job. Great person to learn from. Overal not a difficult class, just pay attention and do assignments and you'll pass.

He makes you work for your grade and provides plenty of materials for you to get a good grade. Cell phones are NOT tolerated, so if you like using it in class, DO NOT pick Mr. Cronin as a professor. However, if that is what you choose, that is your loss. He made me rethink my major and for once in my life he made me enjoy science. Highly recommend

Even tho this was a summer class, there were multiple times that we got out of class significantly early (even skipping our review for the final) that I felt we could have done an activity to help learn the material but Mr Cronin is an awesome guy and teacher. I wish he taught all my classes!

I love Mr. C! He is a great teacher and made me interested in science which is typically a class I hate! He explained things well and created analogies to help us remember difficult processes. I do wish we would of reviewed material more after learning it as I tend to forget the last chapters as we move on but I know there isn't always enough time.

All of the exams/quizzes/homework consisted of questions that were directly pulled from the lectures and the book. If you read the chapters as they are covered in class, and actually pay attention to what is taught, there is really no reason you should fail.

Awesome teacher that cares about his students. Very smart guy with a lot of random knowledge. As far as passing the class goes, you have to take around 8 quizzes that are worth quite a bit. The midterm and final are what really count though, better study hard. As long as you review the notes you'll be fine!

Mr. Cronin is an awesome professor who is very knowledgable about the content he teaches. He understands that everyone learns differently and allows each student to do so on their own. He is strict about a few pet peeves but as long as you respect his wishes, no trouble should arise. He doesn't take excuses but is understanding when life happens.

Going to his class was a nice change of pace compared to classes I've taken over previous summers. Likely the most entertaining and communicative professor I've had at SCC yet.

I just love him. Aside from making what is usually a tough sujbect for me internesting and enjoyable, hes funny and easy to talk to. For the lecture, you dont have to show up but it would serve you well. Its very tolerable, I promise. Just no cell phones- seriously. For the lab, you need to but its fun. Also, might I add: He is a babe IMO.

You only have two tests. The midterm and final. Midterm is chapters 1-4 and final is 1-7 or possibly 1-7 and chapter 12. There are plenty of homework assignments that are not due until the last day of class and some are quizzes that have a due date at certain times. 25 % midterm 25% final and 50% of assignments if I'm correct. Do the blueprints.

This man is a gift to the world. He really loves his students. I'd recommend everyone take him. He is phenomenal and funny. Even if you don't need another science credit to graduate take him. He's also inspirational, all the things he had to overcome in his life to get this far. And how he can relate to us is crazy. Love you Mr Cronin.

Cronin is an amazing professor and really makes biology fun! I enjoyed every second of class and learned a lot. Highly recommended to take him if you want to do biology. 10/10 would take again. In my class he had two different grading paths you could take, Either do all the homework and have that be half the grade and half tests, or the two tests.

Great teacher! He loves the subject and it shows in the enthusiasm he brings to the lectures. You can choose which of two routes to take for grading. If you have ANY questions he is available to talk. Very personable and funny! His slides and blueprints make studying for exams easy! Interesting class! Be warned Zero tolerance for cell use in class!

Mr. Cronin is an amazing professor. He makes the subjects easy to learn, by making it enjoyable. He is funny, and very helpful. His tests are kind of hard, but if you pay attention and study, you will pass!

Professor Cronin is a great teacher who made someone like me who did like biology love it. His lectures are very clear and easy to follow. He doesn't make you use the book or come to class but it will be wise if you do. Homework in his class is not bad as long as you don't let it accumulate and do it all at the last second.

I had professor Cronin for my college success seminar, and it was a very enjoyable course and I really liked the way he taught the course.

He was okay. He gave pretty good lectures but the way he sets up his classroom is weird and confusing. Overall, very smart and high energy man with an interesting life.

Had him for COL 101 best professor ever. It was my first college class and it was a good way to start and no only that I am going to take him for hi BIO class in the fall. Nice guy and down to the point and is very honest with everyone. Knows what he is doing and wants everyone to pass. Very big on helping the students and very approachable!!

Such an amazing teacher! I always look forward to his class and even though attendance isn't mandatory I still go to every class because his lectures are so helpful. He does everything he can to help his students and is always willing to answer questions. Overall he is a great professor!

You can zero homework, never come to class, and only take the midterm and final and have just those two tests as your grade. You can also do every homework assignment to up your grade if tests aren't your thing. The class is very easy if you remember things from high school biology. Shows you how biology is ever-changing through articles.

Excellent teacher! Explains things well and in ways you can remember it. He's laid back and approachable. You cannot eat in his class but drinks are fine. I think attending class is very important, as he covers extra material. Printing out PPTs, doing all assignments as you go, and working on test outlines with a small group is most helpful.

I had Mr. Cronin for biology and I loved him. He's funny and he cares about his students. It's best if you come to class, but he gives you the option to only take the average of the midterm and the final for your final grade (so you don't have to do the homework if you don't want). The tests aren't hard, especially if you come to class and study.

Professor Cronin is one of the best professors I have ever had! I had him for bio 105 and bio 106 he is so knowledgeable, caring and funny! Hands down a lot of fun goes down in his lectures,

I loved his style of lectures, really made me understand what was actually happening with the terminology we were learning.

Lectures are easy to follow, he tells you what is important and should know for the test. Gives a study guide for each unit that is close to the tests. You can do the homework if you want, you're not forced to. The way he explains grading is confusing, just do all the homework and you'll be fine.

Mr. Cronin is an awesome professor, he is always full of energy and always willing to help his students. His exams are not hard; come to class and pay attention to what he says will help. I would highly recommend take him if you can.

Cronin is a great teacher. He knows how to teach and makes it clear to understand as well as makes them funny. there is only 2 exams, the midterm and the final. There is not a ton of work of work outside of class.

Professor Cronin has a way of making class fun even if you do not enjoy the subject. He is very understanding and has a unique system of grading. You can either choose to be graded on assignments and tests, or only the tests. If you get an A on the final you will get an A in the class, regardless of other test scores. He is a great professor!

This man is one of the greatest professors i've had at SCC. He really cares about your education and wants you to succeed! The lectures were easy to follow and his assignments weren't too complicated.

This professor will do anything for his students and for them to pass his class. He is very understanding and very kind to every student. He understand that students have many classes and his is not too heavy of a work load. I really enjoyed his class and the content covered. 10/10 recommend. Best professor I have had at SCC.

He is super nice and is always there to help if you need it. You can go to his office hours or stay after class if you need more help understanding something. He is flexible with opening assignments back up if you missed them. His lectures are easy to follow. Would definitely take him again.

Great lectures that he added a bit of humor to from time to time. Homework was mandatory but a good study tool, and he provided optional blueprints to use as well. Responded to all messages very quickly. Each unit had a graded critical examination group discussion. If less than 30% of the class got a question right on a test he'd remove it.

Pretty easy class, three tests and homework can be turned in up to the test day. Nice guy and highly recommend as a biology professor. He made each lecture interesting.

Cronin was probably my favourite professor of the semester (and maybe one of my favourites that I've had) from the first day. He's a very chill, funny guy that treats his students like grown adults. Other than specific assignments, most of the work can be turned in the week before the final so very good for procrastinators.

Loved my class w/ Cronin, his classes are very easy to succeed in if you put the effort forward; I'm awful with sciences and managed to squeeze out an A with his help. Only issue is his absolute disgust for laptops. We were not allowed to use laptops for note-taking during the lectures because he worried we would "not pay attention". It's whatever.

He can be a chill teacher but he got rules: No phones!! If you take notes electronically you gotta sit up front pay attention Don't talk while he's talking As someone who hates science i actually did WAY better than expected. he accepts late work and curves test. he simplifies things and wants to see you succeed. The ARM is super boring

As someone who struggles with understanding biology, he did a fantastic job breaking it down for me, allowing me to understand and do well in his class. Flexible with the homework assignments, and keeps the class engaged. Does not like electronics though, and 60% of the final grade is exams. Granted, no final!!

Cronin was a great teacher and I was surprised to hear that some people did not enjoy his class! I actually liked coming to class. He made biology easy to understand and lectured in a way that made the class enjoyable. You should do his blueprints if you are in his class. Pretty much everything on those is covered in exams, so study that!
