Notes are clearly posted online along with study guides that closely follow tests. Mr. Cronin gives plenty of opportunities to help students along the way as well.

Cronin is a fantastic teacher. His lectures are great and he puts his notes online for you. He will help you with any problem you have, and gives you multiple chances to retake tests. TAKE THIS CLASS!

I feel that his interest in the subject was intense but not thoroughly represented in tests which had things he didn't cover on it

I believe he has the passion for the subject, but that the tests had questions on it that were not covered in the powerpoints. The book was optional per the professor, but I think it is handy to have if you are struggling in class.

Mr. Cronin has a very easy to follow method of teaching. His Lectures are great and they include ALL the information you need for any assignment given. He takes time to explain everything in a way thats easy to understand and he allows additional oppurtunities for improvement. I give him an A+

I chose prof cronin off of here and was a little nervous at first. After being in his class i really enjoyed myself. He really has a passion for biology and he made me like bio more! He gives you every opportunity possible to make up tests, he also gave out extra credit.His test arent the easiest but they can be if you study! Cronin is the best!

I could tell right from the first day of class he had a passion for teaching which was inspiring then noticing how he was constantly fine tuning lessons for us the students reminded me of the constant need for learning people share overall I would hope my next professors have the same qualities they made class enjoyable

Mr. Cronin is the best Bio/Science teacher I've ever had. With the catalyst out side of class he assigned us then further expanded on them at class. That what a teacher is suppose to do. Also he brought a lot of cool facts into each topic and it kept you interested regaurdless if you liked that topic or not.Even offers help on his personal time.

Mr. Cronin is a very good teacher, I thought I was gonna have a hard time in this class, but it was interesting in lectures, lets you retake tests, has study sessions in student center and he himself will answer questions in office hours, I found him on this site is why I chose him.

Chris is hands down the best teacher I have ever had! he is very very good at explaining things. he teaches directly from slides that he has made that are possibly the best way of explaining the course material. He gives study guides that tell you what you need to know for each test question. The class is very easy if you attend and study.

A great teacher- broke things down to make it more easy to understand. Sense of humor, too. I looked forward to each class. Always willing to help. Wanted us to do well. I woul definitely sign up for him again, and again, and again!

VERY GOOD CLASS

Great teacher and great class! The six week summer plan was intense. I would recommend taking this course if this is the only thing you have going on. Only downfall I have is that he didn't go over previous tests, so come time for the final I had the same the confusions as before meaning I didn't learn from my mistakes. Overall, highly recommended!

Great teacher

I think Mr. C did a great job given the amount of time he had to work with. I appreciated the references he made to "real life" to help us better apply the information, and he was gracious with his time and communication. I feel like he was invested in our success, all while making it as 'fun' as Microbiology can be.

Mr. C is always upbeat and somewhat of a comedian. He gets us motivated and ready to learn. Having him this semester was great. I learned a lot from him.

Lab is mandatory. He uses slides and puts them on blackboard which is helpful. He works with his students and their grade. He enjoys the subject and has a sense of humor. He goes to far extents to help his students.

I hate science Mr.Cronin class helped me though that he is motivated to help his students pass the course his lectures are realy good if you are not intrested in biology Mr. Cronin will change that. his lectures are like watching something good and interesting on the discovery channel I just would like tsay thank you I can't belive I recieved a C+.

Mr. Cronin is one of the best professors I have had at Florissant Valley Community College, He really makes learning science very interesting and since he made it so clear for me this semester I've decide to take his a&p 1 class next semester!! I had a blast!

Before Mr. Cronin, I had always had problems understanding science in general. Not just biology but all areas. He helped to have things click into place for me and the experience was awesome! So many new things I learned and it was easy to understand. One of the best science teachers I've had since elementary school! :)

Mr. C is a very effective teacher. His class is one of the toughest I have had at Flo Valley but it i also one of the best classes. Mr. C goes above and beyond in his teaching and reaching out to his student to help them reach mastery of the subject. Amy in SI also helped. If it was not for the both of them I would have not gotten an A in the class

Mr Cronin was an amazing teacher. He was very helpful and very understanding. He made learning fun and interesting. I actually was very impressed with him as a professor. At first he was extremely intimidating. But I liked how he got to know us and was interested in what we were doing with our futures. He also talked about his personal life a bit as well. Very good teacher! He uses powerpoints and puts everything online to help you. The masteringBiology website also really helps with memorizing things since you can go over quizzes more than once. Really cares about students passing and is really interesting to talk to. If you go to class and take notes and pay attention it's not hard! Thanks Mr C!!

Incredible teacher! I have never had a biology teacher that cares so much about the success of his students, he will go above and beyond to help you grasp the concept that you are struggling with. By far the best instructor I have had in a very long time.

I had him for Bio I Lab and he really was very approachable and eager to help. He was easy-going & he kept us engaged (important). Those are unique and appreciated qualities in a teacher, especially in a lab setting where students tend to question themselves too much -- he was always supportive!

One of the best professor at SCC

Professor Cronin explains the material so that it's easy to understand. There are a few assignments each week, but he isn't strict on deadlines with those. I preferred the in-person lectures, though he didn't require attendance and posts everything you need on canvas. I felt this class helped me with the Bio Lab class as well.

Literally everything except the exams and lectures are online. Lecture slides and blueprints don't cover ALL of the required test material, so make sure you read the book for anything that isn't explain fully from the lecture slides. Overall, Mr. Cronin is one of the best biology professors at SCC, so I recommend taking him.
