I thought it was a very easy class. If you go to class you are very likely to get a high B if not an A. he is very helpful, you just need to take the time to ask him. If you take the lab make sure you take it with him. He works hard to remember your name, and overall i thought it was a very fun class. i strongly recommend it if you need a science.
Tells you exactly what you need to know for the test. He does not try and confuse you with minor details. He has a very proactive teaching style and really keeps you interested in the subject. I would strongly advice trying to get him as a professor.
Although his class is easy, his consistency is not very good. What he says he will do to a grade is not what he actually does because he doesn't remember unless you talk to him several times about it.
He is a great prof. He does a good job teaching. the class itself is very easy
Great class, great teacher. Very straight forward with what he expected from the class and what we should expect from him. ALWAYS willing to help and take as much time as needed. Fantastic!
Really great teacher, wants you to succeed. Always available for help when you need it. Also, he holds review sessions for the test which are EXTREMELY helpful for what to study. However, this class had a LOT of work for a Concepts of Biology class. Be prepared for listening to the lecture outside of class and a lot of group work.
Great teacher, and a great class!
One of the best, if not the best, professors I have ever had. Although I have always had an interest in Biology, Felege certainly converted me to at least a minor! His course is by no means easy, but like all good courses you get out of it what you put in. Do the work, show up, and you will see that he wants you to succeed (in life as well)!
Felege is the best teacher! He knows biology and is really willing to help you. He wants everyone to pass the class and most people end with A's and B's. Take it from him and you will do well.
He's really helpful and willing to listen if you ask for help, but he thinks pretty highly of himself and class gets a little unreasonably hard sometimes. Overall good teacher but not my favorite
He's a very nice guy, and willing to help if you need it. But he goes very fast and is hard to keep up with most of the time. He also thinks highly of himself, and has a very different method of teaching
I took this class online. This class is very time consuming but thorough. If you listen to his lectures, study the Mastering Bio Website, and your ALE's you will do great in this class. He is a very concerned and fair teacher. Put all you can into this class and you will receive a good grade.
This class is a lot of work, but if you do the work you do well overall. There are a lot of points for working in class, but it is interesting and challenging, and prepares you for the test (which are tough) well. Felege is almost always available to help, and really cares about his students.
Amazing teacher! One of the best I had. There is a lot of work in the class, but if you do it you will do good it the class. He is very easy to talk to. Takes feedback very well. Really nice. And really wants his students to succeed. He's also funny. You'll get a lot out of his class. Highly recommend him!
First of all, he's an instructor, not a professor. Chris is very full of himself and will tell you on day one how magical of a teacher he is. Don't buy it, I've taught myself everything. For an introductory class, the workload is unbelievable. Nice guy though.
I did not enjoy my time in this class. He made biology much more work than it needed to be. He also says the word alright, OK, and essentially all the time.
I took this class as a requirement for my major and was expecting it to be an easy class since it was a concepts class. Turns out this was my hardest class that I had to work the most for all semester. Felege was always willing to help. The lectures sometimes felt completely irrelevant to homework but were necessary to go to. MUCH online homework.
For my semester we just needed mastering bio and not the text book, which was awesome. Felege is a great professor, one of my favorites. I hate biology but actually ended up liking the class. Be prepared for lots of group work. Easy class to take for the required lab science.
Go to class and complete the learnsmarts. Didn't really watch his tegretys. Complete the exam study guide as you finish each chapter. The answers are usually in the last few pages of the chapter on learnsmart in the chapter review. Ask the TAs if you have questions they are very helpful. The lab is easy. 5 tests including final. Pretty easy course!
Felege is hands down the best professor I have had at UND. He is very helpful, intelligent, and always there for you. He replies to emails right away, and available for meetings, if need be. Not only is he a professor, but he is a mentor. He is more then willing to help you with any problems you're having, even if they're personal.
There is an overly obnoxious amount of busywork and he is very condescending. I did not enjoy his class at all.
I did not find felege's class fruitful at all. he does not know how to teach a scientific biology course. my time spent taking his class was horrible. he hyped up that he was going to be able to teach us critical thinking and to be honest all we did as groups was googling everything!
Felege is by far the best online instructor I've ever had! To be honest, I was dreading taking Biology online, and to make it worse there was a lab. I learned more than I ever expected possible. His Tegrity lectures are amazing (watch with audio instead of just the PPs). Learnsmarts help teach you the content. Tests not easy. He is extremely fair.
Great Class! I loved his teaching style. Easy A if you go to class.
Felege as goes by is a great instructor, what a ideal professor should be. I pay for a good education and he makes you work for it. If there is a need for assistance he will respond to any of your qusetions. I had a personal issue come up and he was understanding and gave me an extra day to get back on track. Great guy, great teacher!
Felege is an awesome teacher. His class takes a little getting used to but if you can get the system down, you should be golden. Group work is huge and you need to read the book. If you attend his study sessions and do test corrections, you should be fine. Do all the assignments online as well. If he sees genuine effort he'll like you. Great Guy!
Love Felege. He is very good at explaining things. Expect homework. Don't buy the textbook!! He requires online assignments and it's cheaper to buy the online copy that comes with connect(the homework) He will explain this too you in class. Does amazing review sessions. Super hilarious, very sarcastic. 10/10 will bang.
The best professor I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is so willing to help you in any area of question or concern. He truly cares about his students. I was in a class of 150 people and he knew my name and still, a year later, remembers. 20/10. Hot too.
Felege is honestly the worst professor I have ever had. He does not communicate with his students or his TA's. He also like to assign problems on mastering biology that are completed unrelated to the current unit. His instructions are always very unclear. The list goes on and on as to why felege is a poor professor for bio 151.
He is a great teacher that will help if you ask for it. His class is tough though because you need to learn a majority of the material by yourself. If you come to class and at least read through the notes he gives you the class shouldn't be that hard.
Horrible teacher. Literally sat in class counting down the clock to get out. TAKE ANY TEACHER BUT HIM. Wanted to cry all the time because of this class. Please don't take this class it is my best advice for you for college.
If you want to have the equivalent of 3 courses of homework to do, this class is for you. Be prepared to read the whole textbook and teach yourself. He "says" he makes the tests as you go. He is very much reliant on his TAs to do all of his work , as well as his students to learn themselves.
He makes you work for your grade but I liked him as a teacher! If you need help, he will help you but you have to go to him first. His exams are tough but he tells you right from the beginning that they will be. There is always homework to do, but I would definitely take him again.
You have a ton of homework and all of it is self taught. To do well in this class be prepared to study every night for at least 3 hours. Daily quizzes and ALEs that pertain to nothing and are expected to do on your own. TAs are not very helpful as well. Would not recommend another class of his.
You have to learn most of the material out of class. He doesn't lecture. If you have a question for him out of class he wont respond over email. Uses moodle over blackboard, says its better. No place to see your grade without having to add up every assignment and test. If you can, just take another prof if you can fit it into your schedule.
Found his lectures very confusing. He gave us lots and lots of online homework that added up to several hours a day, and they had nothing to do with the lectures. His tests are very difficult and expect to spend plenty of time studying. He will help you, but mostly on your own time. Class proved to be extremely time consuming.
Felege was one of the least helpful professors I have ever had. He is very unclear and is inconsistent with his grading.
In class he was very unclear in giving instructions even if it was written down for us. He was one of the worst professors I've ever had.
Being an older than average student, I was very nervous taking this type of class. IO came to really enjoy working with my classmates and I did learn a lot by actually doing the projects. Read all the material, listen to all the tegrity lectures, show up for class, and ask if you need help, and you will definitely pass this class with an A.
Great professor and guy, course is difficult if youve never had bio before, but if you show up to class and do the homework it isn't too hard. Felege is very chill, willing to work outside of class, and makes pretty much everything that's going on clear for everyone. Also drops multiple quizzes/tests/assignments so one bad week wont kill you.
Is very helpful during his review sessions. Come to class with the material read. Recommended him to several other students. Is very helpful out of class when it comes to answering questions.
Felege is a good teacher. The class can be challenging at times, but he's always willing to help. If you come to class and do all the readings and hw you will be fine, the homework isnt too hard and it helps students understand the material better. For exams he drops your lowest test score, and you have the option to only do the essay exam part.
Hard teacher, but I have never learned as much as I did in his class. He makes you put in the work, but grades fairly and offers extra credit opportunities. Doesn't lecture so you have to go over everything on your own before class, but he's always willing to help you if you reach out and ask for help.
He is a great professor, he just makes you work for your grade. He is accessible quite often and is good at communicating when need be.
Bio 151 is a hard class but if you show up everyday to his class and put in effort you can achieve a good grade. I personally am not even a bio major but this class was tolerable because of him. Tests are difficult but he gives you a lot of extra credit opportunities. Daily Quizzes and Assignments help get easy points.
Chris is truly invested in student success. With that being said, you are going to want to spend ample time outside of class studying. His lectures are almost entirely focused on reiterating material you should have learned outside of class. He uses an online system that is nice, but again, you have to be in there putting in the time.
He doesn't lecture, his class is difficult but if you show up and do the work you'll get an A. He can be very frustrating at times and it seems like he only gives extra credit to certain groups of people.
If you want biology to consume your whole life so you have no time for your other classes then this class is perfect for you.
Honestly during the class I hated the in class activities but now that Im in a higher level bio course I miss having those activities because you learn so much from them. He still helps me with my biology and Im not even his student anymore. A great professor, hard class, but you have the access to things and people that will help you succeed.
Felege is great, very personable even in an online class. He really wants you to succeed, and is understanding when issues arise as they often do with online classes. The class itself was an overview, but he uses many different techniques to suit different learning styles.
Felege's class is tough. He's a great person and cares about his students, but his class is really hard, and the tests are NO JOKE. However, he's one of those teachers who wants you to succeed and hes respectable. He drops your lowest test score. But I do some kind of homework every single day even though the class is only 2 days a week.
I had Dr. Felege for the introductory bio class and lab. He is an all-around genuine professor and will take time out of his day to discuss any difficult concepts with you. Alongside that, he will also stop if he sees you on campus to say hello and make it a warm and welcoming environment. Overall, I would take another course with Felege. 10/10
Felege is someone that really cares about his students learning. He tries to be as fair as possible and is really honest. He gives you a lot of opportunities to redeem lost points.
FELEGE is the reason why I majored in biology. He literally made me fall in love with it. The most caring and amazing teacher I have ever had. Don't know how hard his class is, but I can tell you he will do anything in his power to pass you. I love this guy <3
Felege got to know his students, even though there were 110 of us. You get 20 points or more in class everyday, so you have to go. He says "if you work with me, I'll work with you" A LOT and he means it. If you go to the review sessions he will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about the test. I definitely recommend his class.
Felege is by far the best instructor I have ever had. He actually cares about your grade and if you put in the work, will not let you get a bad grade. If you do not understand the material, he is very willing to open up his schedule just so it fits with your schedule.
"Here's a table I removed all the definitions for, fill it out in your groups." 5 minutes later. "here's the answer key. Pens and pencils down ladies and gentlemen. Listen to me explain 15% of what you need to know, learn the rest by yourself." repeat. You better be a biology major, because he sure expects biology to be your life.
Be ready to come to class, participation points every class. This was a very easy A if you put the time and effort into it. He truly understands that life happens, and cares about you as a person and your grade. Ask for help, he will help a lot! Especially on exams, if you need help he will put you in the right direction. Definitely recommend him!
Everyday you have to be ready for your ALEs (basically to make sure you know what you're doing & get extra practice) but you work with your table and it's not so bad. The tests are all essay based, but they really aren't that scary! He's also a really great person if you're willing to put the time in to talk to him. I'd recommend this class.
This class is a lot of work for a 100 level course. The exams are not multiple choice they are all essay questions. He allows you to drop your lowest exam score and there are extra credit opportunities but the class takes up a lot of time. You have to attend class for the participation points or you will fail don't take this expecting an easy A.
Super nice guy, really hard class. This class is pretty hard for a 100 level, and skipping isn't really an option. He goes way too fast, and has a ridiculous amount of in class work to complete. Tests are pretty hard, all complicated essays, but he gives you multiple to chose from. Really understanding and nice guy though. Don't expect an easy A!!
Really good professor if he would actually teach more. A lot of class is spent working in groups rather than him teaching. His tests are not the easiest, but he allows for test corrections which are very helpful. He is really smart and wants you to do well in his class. he is nice and approachable. Definitely take this course from him if you can.
Literally the best professor I have ever had. Tough class, but the textbook helps and so does the homework (not just stupid meaningless homework). Super amazing and so nice and caring. 10/10 would take the class again.
He is an amazing professor. You have to put in the effort to get the grade, but it is a pretty easy class if you show up and do the work. He has a passion for teaching and he wants his students to learn. It is a great class and it's pretty fun.
This professor is exceptional. He is motivated to make sure everyone understands the material and is at least able to pass the tests. Tests typically include up to 7 essays where you must answer at least 5 of them. As long as you're showing up and paying attention you will be able to answer them. Skipping class isn't an option due to daily points.
Felege is a great professor but my gosh do you have to work in this class. You have to buy the textbook (its online) because your grade is attached to questions within the book. Every day there is typically two, easy, quizzes. Lastly, the tests are sometimes a lot of trouble. But he understands the struggle and is willing to help. Overall difficult
Average professor, lectures 30 minutes in class and the rest are long group assignments, group quizzes and lots of homework. He even admits that he isn't that good of a lecturer. He's a really nice guy but I wish he'd teach more.
This professor is the best professor I have ever had, he is thorough, clear, helpful and encouraging. You're going to have to work for your grade but he will work just as hard as you will to help you.
Felege is an awesome teacher. The class itself is a little hard because you have to show up everytime and basically teach yourself with a group. He is so willing to help and even takes the time to know you in such a huge class.
If you aren't on his bad side you will do well in any of his classes. GO TO REVIEW SESSIONS, these are where he goes over everything you need to know and if you're confused in class like me, he will help you out. He will work with you if you need anything. Caring guy, but not an easy A.
He is a very good professor. I knew nothing about biology before I took this course, and he explained everything very well. He does have an online component that is kind of annoying to do, but it's not hard. All tests are strictly essay, but he'll give bonus if your answer is more than what he expects. ALEs everyday with your group
Felege is a kind man, but he was clearly in over his head teaching this class. He refused to use blackboard, therefore, no one knew what their grades were until after the final exam. He also used a lot of group activities as busy work.
Felege was an absolutely fantastic professor who helped me really care about a topic that I otherwise have zero interest in. He was always very willing to work with his students if any issues were to arise both inside and outside the classroom. He has a tendency to talk up how difficult his tests are, when you really just need to show up to pass
While attendance is mandatory to pass, C. Felege is passionate about what he is teaching, accommodates where possible, and accepts reasonable student feedback. He tries his best to make lecture fun and typically pairs you with others in the same major as you.
I will definitely recommend taking this course with this man, he is an amazing professor well respected & respects his students. He is willing to meet up outside the class and help you. I speak 5 languages, if it wasn't for him I would probably not have a good grade. He is the best, if I had the chance to give him a grade he would get an A+++++++++
Overall a really good professor. He's fair, helpful, and truly wants students to succeed! He enjoys working with students, and it clearly shows!
Awful professor. Doesn't even pretend to care about his students. He literally threatened to dock us points if we emailed him during online instruction. He does not care about anything. Doesn't teach his class at all. He just expects you to learn everything from the textbook. You would fail the class if you didn't attend but the class is useless.
Very hard tests, but if you study what he tells you to and ask for help you will pass!
INCOMING STUDENTS THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. You will definitely regret taking Felege at any level higher than a 100's level course. He was not approachable, and spent most of the lecture period being annoyingly sarcastic. The test questions were nearly all "which is truest" leaving you to guess subjectively.
Felege literally threatened to take away points for contacting him in what he deems was the wrong manner during remote instruction. Comes across very rude and like he doesn't care about anyones success but his own. Imagine punishing kids for contacting the teacher during online instruction during a pandemic.
Doesn't teach anything in class. Gives work to your group in which you complete for 30 seconds and then he gives the answer with no explanation. Literally every other sentence is a sarcastic remark that is not necessary in lecture. Spends more time making comments than teaching. Take it from someone who got an A and is still telling you not to take
Felege is extremely cocky You will have to listen to him rant about himself several times a lecture He often will make comments halfheartedly about giving and taking away points at random He is not a professor but an instructor Prepare to teach yourself the entire class only to show up and google questions for daily assignments and be annoyed.
Felege is a great guy, but not the best lecturer. He does care for his students. Go to his test reviews they really help. Felege did say he would dock points for asking BAD questions. He encourages questions but he wants his students to ask good questions(specific, non-vague). Don't let the bad reviews scare you, Felege is a good teacher.
Felege is a good professor to take for basic Bio 111. He has a personality that can be hard for some people to jive with though. His exams are essay based and he gives points very generously. Go to his review sessions and be blunt about your questions, he will answer anything. Can be a bit intimidating and snarky, but an easy A or B.
The review sessions were amazingly helpful. The class is very organized and the grades in blackboard are updated quickly. The tests were very close to the study guides. Getting answers to questions was very easy. I have a learning disability so I could get extra time on tests, but that was never needed for this class.
Do not take this class!!! Makes you do classwork but does not give you enough time. Lecture in class does not prepare you for the test. Going to class is waste of time since you would have to do everything by yourself. Tests are very hard and is filled with stupid question. Any other professor is better than this dude!!!!
Felege used a flipped classroom model which made it pretty important to do learn everything that'd be covered in class BEFORE coming to class. Tests were annoying, as at least half of all questions were along the lines of "Of the following correct answers, choose the most correct".As much as I disliked this class, I will admit that I learned a lot.
This guy is super sarcastic and threatens to take points away. I got in an accident and was hospitalized during an exam, to which he said I could not retake it because i was in his online class. I and offered to get a doctors note and he never responded. Do the online class at lake region!
Felege was a very accessible teacher, and always willing to work with me. Dont take him if youre looking for an easy pass, but otherwise, hes a fantastic professor to have. You do have to come to class prepared, but this isnt high school anymore. You have to work for your grade with him, but hell also does his best to work for you.
For teaching a non-major class he understands that his students are there for a requirement and caters to that attitude. His class is formulaic and easy to follow. He lets you use a study guide on the test and helps you with the study guide during class. The homework program can be frustrating, but overall he is a great teacher.
Felege is very direct and to the point. He cares about his students, but takes his job very seriously. I would take another class with him if I was still at UND. He was very understanding of my decision to transfer and encouraged me to do what is best for me. I took his class back in spring of 2020 so part way through we had to go online, sadly.
Felege is a really nice guy, just do as your told and he will love you! If you get on his bad side he probably won't like you as much but his course is relatively easy. The homework is graded off of participation and the labs are pretty easy as well. He loves to help you if you need it and promotes your learning.
Felege is super nice but the tests are insanely hard. The majority of the answers on them are "select the most correct" or "this is a trick question because" which feels more stressful rather than actually testing knowledge on the material. You are graded on either the portfolio/pearson and the tests only If you don't do the HW you WILL fail.
Awesome professor and nice guy, wants his student to succeed. The only complaint I have is he talked way too smart for me and I did not understand when he explained the questions. There is a lot of homework, so don't wait to do the portfolio until the day before the test then pull an all nighter and still not finish.. that was my mistake.
Felege really cares about his students and has a wide array of knowledge on what he teaches. The topics in class can be difficult to grasp, but he makes plenty of time outside of class and goes out of his way to help students. Can be sarcastic at times, but I don't think that it is misused which makes him pretty funny.
Dr. Felege is a great professor. I learned a lot in his class. The middle unit on cell processes is hard, but other than that his class was good. You are allowed to use notes on tests, and he tells his students about internships and opportunities for people in the major. He is very caring and occasionally pretty funny. What more could you ask for?
One of the Be$t!!! He is really good and he knows what he is talking about! Funny and caring professor, UND needs more of Feleges. He is a fair grader and makes you want to learn more about the class content.
I ordinarily love math and science and excel in both. This professor does NOT know how to grade. I lost points on a study guide for typing my notes rather than writing them in an ONLINE class. Most of the test questions are "which is the most accurate" or are in some other way very vague. He will not show you the correct answers after a test either
He is an amazing professor. Really cares about his students. He is willing to help if you are willing to put in the effort. The only thing that was bad about this class was that it was extremely difficult for a 100s level class. He only grades on 3 tests and the portfolio. It is very hard to get a good grade in this class because the of hard tests
His class one one of the hardest Ive ever taken, but also the most rewarding. He is a really fair guy so as long as you work hard and care about learning he will be understanding. His exams are very hard. 100% would take again he is super respected and knows what he is talking about. He is also willing to help any time you ask for it.
Couldn't rate Dr Felege higher! Kind, down-to-earth, willing to work with you. Loved his class and learned a lot. Be sure to do the homework- the tests are heavily based on it. Lots of extra credit opportunities, take them!
Felege is probably my favorite teacher ive ever had. He makes it so you are able to succeed if you just try, you are able to use a study guide on the test that you can put anything in, so really you shouldn't fail if you did the portfolio. The tests are all written answers but he is a fast grader and lets people correct them if needed
He makes you watch all the lecture videos outside of class and learn the material before coming to class. His tests are on paper and extremely long.
He never really teaches you anything in class. Most of the things you will learn come from your work outside of class.
More work in this class than 3 other classes combined. Nice dude but his grading is all over the place. Daily in class assignments, a massive portfolio study guide, and online textbook quizzes. He has the hardest tests I have ever taken in my entire life, they all have literally zero multiple choice ever. People routinely left test days crying.
Great professor. Ample opportunities to learn and understand the material, it covers a lot of ground and Felege tries his absolute best to make sure you are prepared. If you do not get an A or B, I have to ask if you even tried. I have gotten 100s on every test, and I am historically terrible at science. Very respectable and respectful. Recommended
great professor who obviously care about his students success. this class is just a matter of putting in effort, and he is more than willing to help you out if you aren't understanding something.
Felege sets up very tough classes. However, the class I took with him was the most rewarding class I've ever taken. He isn't the warmest based off your first impression but the more you participate in his class and interact with him you see how much he actually cares about his students and wants to see them succeed.
I really liked how down to earth our professor is, he knows how students work and adapts his teaching to them, as long as you work on it, you will get a good grade.
Felege was an awesome professor. Biology is not an easy class, and he understands that. But as he said the first day of his class, if you put in the time and effort into his class you will get a good grade, which is very true. He gives great feedback, if you put in the effort he is not a harsh grader and you will do well in his class. He is awesome
The class is a lot of work, there is a giant study guide that you have to do, but you can use it on the tests. He doesn't make you memorize anything, and he tries to be fair to everyone. If you put in effort you will do well in the class.
Felege is one of the best professors I've had. If you try and do ALL homework and assignments, you will pass the class. He rewarded participation and gave out lots of extra credit. You can use notes on tests, but tests are HARD. Expect to spend 2-4 hours a week on this class alone. Attendance is mandatory for in class assignments.
good person just a lot of work and hard topics for students that aren't non bio majors
Have to show up to class to get a good grade, will get a good grade if you show up almost every day. Has quite a bit of homework, not a whole lot it is just time consuming. Tests are short answer but he hates when you write a lot and prefers pictures. Gives out extra credit like candy.
Going to be honest... there was a lot of homework in this class compared to other classes. But, if you show up to class, and do the homework you'll pass easily. Felege is a super nice guy and offers TONS of extra credit. There are some pretty tough topics, but he explains it in an easy to understand way.
Go to review sessions he and his TA's host. He knows those who attend and he tends to favor those students more. Tries his best to answer all questions. Not the best lecturer. May need to teach yourself many of the lessons. HIGHLY suggest doing extra credit. Saved my grade. Tests are very hard. Nice guy overall and you learn a lot with him.
I thought Felege was a good professor, however his classes are VERY hard. Doing extra credit and completing assignments saved my grade. Felege and his TAs also give out random extra credit points, so be sure to show up and participate.
Professor Felege is a fantastic instructor for Concepts Biology 111. He's super nice, helpful, and genuinely cares about his students. The homework is easy, and he's approachable if you need assistance. His passion for teaching shows, and he connects well with everyone. I'd recommend taking his class over any other biology professor!
Great professor! very understanding I had no issues.
Professor Felege is great - fair but challenging. Lots of work, but manageable if you attend class and do the homework. The tests are tough, but he provides lots of extra credit. unstuck study was a lifesaver for study prep.
His class is not hard if you do the work and go to class. It is a big workload, but the work isn't hard. He puts you into groups and you will work with your group every day. He gives lots of extra credit if you participate or go to extra things that he has, like review sessions. Overall, he's not a hard professor as long as you go to class.
He is the best Professor I have ever had. Yes, there is a lot of book work. It can be tedious and annoying, but it actually applied to what we are learning. I joined class late due to military service he extended the due dates and was very accommodating. If you are confused, he is amazing at breaking it down to understand. He is also entertaining.
I think Felege is a great teacher. The class relies on in-class participation and filling out your portfolio. If you go to class, the ALEs should be 100%. Tests were long and tough, but the essays on the tests help bring your grade up. If you do the portfolio well, you should do good on the exams, he also offers extra credit occasionally.
Dr. Felege doesn't respect his students, and is not willing to hear them out when an issues arises. It's shocking how such an ugly person can hide behind a pleasant facade. Don't fall for it.
Wonderful teacher, he has a great approach to general biology for non-science majors. Very accessible and understanding of students. There is a lot of work involved in the class, but if you do the work, it is an easy A. He often gives out extra credit if you get things done ahead of time, so stay on schedule.
As a non biology major, take Felege's class. You can use a notes + resources on tests, there's multiple opportunities to gain points, and he's pretty understanding when stuff comes up. If you need to get a hold of him.. good luck. He rarely responds to emails, but the TA's do! Definitely email a TA if you have questions.. not Felege though.
