Hes hilarious, relatable, and the class is such an easy A. Theres a lot of papers to write but he will pretty much help you write them step by step in class and he will tell you exactly what he wants to see. There's a paper due pretty much every week, but he's the best ENC professor out there, five minutes into the class and I was already in love with this professor. It's a very easy class, and that is coming from a person whose first language is not English. The only way you could fail is by not showing up and not listening to him. Take him for sure!!

Dr. Cage has a selective material to cover; it consists of video presentations and lectures. There is no test, no finals. Just follow closer to his instructions. I will recommend anyone to take his class. Excellent professor.

This is my first year of college. He is the BEST !!!! There are essays due every week, but he goes step by step for the final paper in Dec which is the final exam grade, but no actual final. He always make the class energetic and always humorous. I love him a lot. Cannot wait to be in his ENC1102 next semester!

An awesome teacher. Yes we do a lot of essays but it's not like he's giving us tests. He also explains what he wants from you and is very clear with instructions. He tends to talk about things relative to today's news. I can"t wait to take him again for English 2.

(I took about two months of his class online because COVID-19) He cares about his students, will be there if you need help with anything. You will really learn if you take his class, gives assignments almost every week, most of them are really easy.

What can I say? Professor Gage is the man. Do you have to show up to class, read some books or short stories and write some essays? Of course, its an English class, but he makes it fun and easy going. I would take any other classes he offered if my GI Bill allowed it. Heck, I may pay for one myself haha. MyLabsPlus will save your grade (It's super easy so do it.) You will write papers, but they are very very easy to do. He walks you through them. Your final is all of your papers in one!

Very easy going professor. VERY clear instructions. All assignments/paper is a build-up to your final paper, hence no final if you follow the easy steps. He's an extraordinary professor. The homework consists of writIng papers; plain and simple. He makes sure to explain every paper to the bone, with instructions and advice (in class) set to help you as much as possible. You usually have two weeks to write every paper. Overall a great teacher who's very flexible.

I absolutely loved his class. I was always happy to log into BB collab because sometimes all he does is just start conversations with the students. He is very laid back when it comes to assignments and is very thorough with directions for the assignments. Like literally cannot fail this class unless you just not turning assignments in.

He really makes class fun, with assignment topics and just talking about random stuff. he gives 8 papers but one is the final and it's done in parts(paper5-8 is the final). take him if you want to have fun while also be in a great class. The workload is mainly essays being that it's an English class. He's very good at explaining exactly what he's looking for in the essays so that you get a good grade. if you are looking to improve your writing he is definitely the teacher to choose, I loved him and now my writing is even better than before.

Unfortunately I failed his class due to my own negligence but overall he is an excellent professor. No different from ENC1101 in terms of difficulty, but this time around you have more papers of the professor's creatives and unique choice. He'll make you write about relevant topics such as: cancel culture and systemic racism. Writing may sound dull, but he makes it extremely easy.

Professor Gage was a really good professor. He likes to talk to a lot and can get quite enthusiastic during the lectures, which compensates for how long the class felt like. You supposedly have 1 paper due every week but he often makes changes to the deadlines. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities as papers. There is no final nor midterm.

I loved taking ENC1101 and ENC1102 with Professor Gage. His class was very entertaining and the papers we turned in were relatively easy, if you follow his rubric. When you submit papers he gives you feedback on where you need improvement which is really helpful.

Professor Gage is great, he makes the class engaging and does his best to help everyone pass. The movies he assigns are all horror, though he has said he will assign different movies to any students who can't watch them. Attendance is worth 25%, so go to class. There are four papers (around 750 words) worth 15%. The final is a resume.

Prof. Gage really cares about his students succeeding and will go out of his way to make sure you don't fail the class. This being a writing class you will have to do 4 essays, but Prof. Gage will make sure you have all the information. He loves to talk and joke with students but don't abuse that kindness. Pay attention to the lectures.

Prof Gage is one of the funniest teachers I've had so far. You can tell he is very passionate about what he teaches, and there are never dull moments in his class. There are 4 main papers you'll write; each has very clear criteria for what's expected.

entertaining lecturer, class focuses a lot on anti-ai work. will give good feedback on your writing and will answer questions during lecture. very high energy. talk to him in person if you need help though, it gets to him quicker. attendance is sort of mandatory, sometimes he checks sometimes not, no textbook work but one novel for the class.

Extremely easy class. To be honest, you don't really have to attend his lectures to understand what the write in the essays. There are 5 papers throughout the semester. The literature we read were not indiscernible or hard to analyze. He makes the class interesting and fun. His biggest pet peeve is students using AI to write their papers, so don't!
