I really enjoyed Professor Harold's class because he has taught me how to not procrastinate and really work hard. I found his class really beneficial for the future and when I go to college. He is one of the best teachers i've ever had and would take his course again and again.

Professor Harold's methods of teaching are.... interesting, and the work load is substantial, Iv'e learned a lot from him. The classroom environment is very different, but it is really fun. Professor tells us short stories that teach us something in the end and takes time to get to know each student.

Although Professor Harold's class is rigorous, I have learned more than I could ever imagine. I appreciate how he truly cares for his students. He has taught me to not procrastinate and work hard for what I want.

Great Professor

Great professor and gives great feedback. Professor Harold is probably the hardest professor to take, but he is very down to earth on what the lesson is.

Be prepared to write a lot of material. I took the coarse over a 4 week period in which we wrote 6 essays. The Professor is at times humorous, but always caring and a genuine guy. He won't sugar coat things for you though, more teachers should be like that in my opinion.

Professor Harold is good at giving feedback and telling you what you can do to best improve your work. He is funny but also a good progfessor to have. I hiughly reccomend.

Professor Harold is a true gem because of this class I truly know how to write better. I will say that he was very intimidating at first, but when you get to know him he is not so bad. If you are planning on taking his class make sure you do everything he tells you to do in order to succeed.

I am currently in high school and I am going into my sophomore year. I took this class as duel credit and was honestly terrified. He's a good instructor, he assign's a lot of homework but that is just because he is trying to separate the weak from the one who will put the effort in. He seems like a jerk at first, but he's just trying to scare you. If you put the work in and show it, it will be a lot easier on you now and in the future.

At first, I was terrified to take this course with Professor Harold, but he has taught me a variety of things about English and life choices. I highly recommend this professor to those taking ENGL1302. He makes sure the class is ready to learn, and although he does give a lot of homework, his feedback is amazing and truly helped me understand.

Helped with my papers and challenged me to become a better writer. I was able to finnish my work before the due date and the proffesor rewarded me for my great effort. He influenced me to self study and motivated me to try even harder in order to prepare for more college courses.

On the first day of the class make sure you have the book and your laptop because you will not be able to start class. This professor showed me a different view on life, my life. I thought I would not complete this course. It was hard to write three or four pages of the essay every week. But when I started working on it I felt every confident what I wrote. Professor is very helpful, he wants you to pass so he will sit with you. He will go over every sentence, and tell you where you made a mistake in order to correct future problems. He does give a butt load of homework and if you do not stay on top of it. YOU WILL FAIL. If you normally tend to be punctual then you should be okay. 12/10 reccomend

He's a strange character. He gives difficult essay assignments but check the with you before you turn them in. For example, my class had to write a 10 page essay about the Protestant Reformation. His one vice is that his prompts are oftentimes vague for the sake of creative freedom but he sometimes adds on stipulations at the last second.

He begins the year with a bombardment of 600 word essays to weed out the weaklings, and follows up with a finisher of 500+ handwritten definitions from an essay that nearly no one has heard of. Although this seems a tad tough, this benefits you in the end, and helps you write long essays in other classes. The 80's music might just help you through.

To be honest, I feared this class and there soon came days where I did not feel like I could meet to his standards. I always knew he was a reasonable man, as well as how open he was for the topic, but it was not until lately I discovered how accessible he was outside of class and how he can help. This class is a great class to learn how to write. When I first got in this class I did not think I was a good writer, but after I definitely feel like I am.
