He's a good professor, a lot of professors assign way too much busywork now that we've switch online but professor Hayashi doesn't. The perfect amount of coursework and his instructions for each assignment are clear. There's a textbook however he provides it. He tends to like it when you go above the word count on assignments.

The classes were always very interesting.I greatly enjoyed his class and I was able to learn a lot. Usually, you're summarizing videos, reading the textbook, and discussion boards. He gives no final, just 3 exams.Tests are very tough and very specific you need to study. He's seemed actually loves to do his job. I would definitely recommend.

Professor Hayashi is a great instructor, it seems he loves to teach, and his profession, although the classes were online, I enjoyed taking the course. I learned a lot of new concepts and valuable information. But definitely if you want to pass you have to work. I'm happy with my results.

He always gave me ways I could improve my writing and reviews for each topic when needed so I could correct it on the next assignment. Also was inspirational when I did well and made sure us as students know that our efforts where appriciated.

An amazing professor!! At first, I was scared as this was my first college course as an HS student and I wanted that extra challenge so I decided to take this course and I have no regrets this is one of the best decisions I made for my education. He gives great feedback, great grading criteria, clear rules, and is very supportive of students. 10/10

Amazing professor, class flows smooth even with the long hours. There is a lot of homework and some of the material is difficult although he explains and demonstrates it pretty well. He is also not a boring professor, I stayed engaged most classes. Attendance is important because you don't want to miss lecture. The textbook is online.

Do not recommend taking this course if you have many obligations at home or work. Professor is not empathetic and has a strict grade deduction of 10% off assignment points if you turn in an assignment late. No exceptions, even if you have a family emergency. When I have talked to him, he tends to sound passive aggressive as well.

Tough but fair professor. Lots of writing assignments, but he provides clear guidelines and feedback to help you succeed. Unstuckstudy AI was a lifesaver for reviewing course concepts between assignments. Definitely take this class if you're interested in psychology.

If you follow the course flow, do the readings, and do the assignments on time you should be fine. It's a lot of assignments but you get used to the format and grading quickly. Plus a lot of the material is interesting so it's not too bad.

Dr. Hayashi is easy to communicate with, and his course can be challenging, but it is an easy course when you follow the prompts and the syllabus. It's a lot of reading, but the assignment is what I enjoyed the most. This course was exciting, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Halfway through semester changed rubric, I get 2/10 and 1/10 on reading objectives for missing module citation. Which in out "test assignment" on the first week had no requirements bc he wants APA now halfway through he wants MLA? Also Canvas gives AUTO late penalty, grades late when he says u. an resubmit points are already 0!!!

The class is heavily based off attendance to the lectures, as it covers what will be on the exams. The assignments are easy and have a clear rubric. The class is easy if you study for the exams (4 throughout the semester) and pay attention in class. He also allows the class to change the exam day to the following class day.

Professor Hayashi made psychology really interesting! Attendance does matter and there are no exceptions. Always starts class by playing a song. Provides study guides, easy intro assignments every week, only 2 discussion boards, and makes lectures fun and interactive. Also provides extra cred opportunities at the end of each exam.

The professor gave us worksheets every class after the lecture(a bit long) that were helpful to understand the concept. Many accommodations: allowed to use a cheat sheet/formula packets for the exams. There were a lot of resources given on Canvas, and he had an extra credit opportunity. Not a lot of homework, and he's very nice. I would recommend.

Like most online classes, you will get out of it what you put into it. Every section is basically the same loop of work, so after you complete the first section, make sure you understand how to pace yourself for the rest of the sections and work and this should be an easy class to pass.

THIS IS AN EASY COURSE. if u do an assignment wrong you're able to do it again for full credit. his assignments are very easy, straightforward and repetitive (having the same assignments each week) but it's good bc you get used to the work. he has a couple extra credit assignments. but make sure u do your work on time, he grades very slow.
