He is the best biol teacher at Clayton. I would recommend him to anyone. He is not hot but a cutie!!

Very good teacher. This is a very easy class if you are willing to pay attention & do a bit of studying. He makes the subject fun & gives a clear outline of what you are expected to know. Not hot, but definately a cutie!

Dr. Kodani is the BEST science teacher at Clayton. He is sooo helpful and I would recommend him. Dr. Kodani is such a Good Teacher at he needs to teach his co-workers how to Teach. If you hate biology this is the class for you b/c there is no way you should fail this class.

Very nice and fair...I love the stretches he makes us do and the music he chooses. It adds flair to the class. He is smart but he does not feel the need to flaunt his education like some other biology teachers do. He probably remembers how it feels trying to get through school and doesn't want to make it worse than it is.

Prof. Kodani, is COOL. I actually got a "D" out of his class, but it was my own fault. You have to be pretty darn LAZY to fail this guy's class(I KNOW, LIKE ME). He gives you powerpoints to study which is where his tests are derived. Though the morning exercises were annoying at first, I started looking forward to them by the end.

Biology 1108 was a difficult course but I found it very enjoyable and manageable thanks to Dr. Kodani. He really enjoys the material taught in the course and therefore influences his students to become interested as well.He is also reasonable and easy to talk to.The stretching excercise in class was great because it helped me stay focused longer.

This class was intertaining and informative. You cant rely just on the notes he gives. Reading the chapters is highly recommended. He has really high expectations for his students and is a really careing teacher.

I had Dr. Kodani for both biol 1108 lecture AND lab. Believe me when I say he's THE biology teacher to take! I'm dying to take him over, but I can't.... I got a C in his class, but that was TOTALLY my fault because I didn't study his powerpoints, which help a LOT. He's VERY helpful, and he has honest answers to whatever you ask.

Overall Dr. Kodani is a great teacher who's willing to help you. His tests aren't easy. You've got to read the book, study the practice exams from the cd-rom, DEFINATELY READ THE ENTIRE CHAPTER BEFORE YOU COME TO CLASS, and don't let him catch you talking in class because he'll embarrass you in front of everyone. (I know first hand)

He was an excellent professor. He made class fun by doing stupid movements, but those actually helped you to learn the material. If you have any questions, he is very helpful and kind. His tests are sort of hard. You need to read the book thoroughly and listen in class to get an A or B on the test.

So you want an "A"..well, you're going to have to do something that you've never done before..STUDY..thatS right, study...read the book,take the self quizzes(this is very helpful in lab),get a study group 2gether. Dr. Kodani is awesome. I'm a non-biology major who got stuck in a major's bio course, and did his best to help me as much as he could. He's energetic, pleasant, and fairly entertaining. I don't think I could have made it through an 8 a.m., 2 hour long summer class if it weren't for him. He's more than a little crazy, but it's rather endearing.

He was an interesting teacher. He seemed to really enjoy his job and care about his students. The tests were really hard. (Study more from the book than anything else!!) However, I found him to be really helpful. He also included strech session in the class that helped everyone stay alert. I would take him again.

Dr.Kodani is a shining example of what a professor should be like.He clearly has a great interest in the suject. He has this great way of linking his lecture content with real life situations for better understanding.His mid-class stretches were great! I actually do them on my own now.He will make you work for your grade but he's fair and GREAT!!!

Dr. Kodani kept the material interesting. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his profession. The 7th inning stretch was helpful in getting oxygen to the brain so I could focus on the second half of the class. He was a professional at all times and had a very good sense of humor. I took Kodani for Bio1111 Lab. The class was a pleasure! He is very helpful, funny, and merciful. He curved both of the lab practicals, and gave full credit for every lab if it was complete. Explains everything very clearly, will help out if there are any questions. Highly recommended! Great professor!

He's a really good professor. The best thing were the mornign strecthes because it really got you going. His powerpoints are helpful, yet answer the ?'s in the back of the chapter. He also love pictures and matching in hiw exams.

Stop giving students the opportunity to miss a test and make it up at the final. That is a big NO!No! The students will always use this to their advantage and miss your class just for GP, because they know that you will give them double or nothing. Not Cool!!!!

His class requires a lot of studying, but he is very fair and he gives you all the material you need to do well. He has a great sense of humor as well. He's a great guy and Clayton State is fortunate to have him.

He's very passionate about his work and he made himself very available and helpful to the entire class. You will need to study hard for all of his tests but he'll help you every step of the way.He's also very funny in class.

Kodani was straight. You do stretches everyday to good music and he goes over slides. Study the text more than the slides. He's interesting to say the least.

One of the best ecology teachers I recommend you take his class. He uses real life situations to explain concepts. The semester was very challenging for me, but I made it through his help. Dr. Kodani is very passionate about biology. Tests are hard and you have to study but they're not ridiculous. Stretches are fun. He did not cuss that girl out (I was in the class), she was also being rude. But he did kinda lie about his final, I'd say less than half of it was from old tests and he promised 75%.

Dr. K is a great professor who keeps your attention. I waited to my senior year because I didn't appreciate science, but Dr. K takes Biology to a whole new level. There is no way you can fall asleep in his class. Hint: many answers to the test came from classroom discussions. Pay attention to the illustrations.

Dr. K is great! If you struggled in 1101, and your drive for bio is low he will make you feel successful. His office door is always open, and he is always willing to answer questions. The key to success is attend class, read your textbook, and study the powerpoints he posts online. He gives you the tools in advance, so their is no reason to fail.

Dr. Kodani, not only are an excellent professor the passion that you have for your students to learn is remarkable. I was very pleased with the low budget props that helped build the knowledge. And for the person who felt like you only taught from powerpoint they probably didn't come to class much. Thanks for the challenge.

Make sure you answer the questions throughout, and at the end of the chapters. When he tells you that something will be on a test, believe him and study it.

His class was great and challenging. Be sure and keep your old exams for the final. Study all diagrams and end of chapter questions as well as study guides from the quizzes for the exams. Love the streching exercises in the middle of class every day.

I HATE science but Dr.Kodani made the class very entertaining, he is always available to answer questions and his lectures are on the test. Just make sure you study the picture in the book and the end of the chapter questions, it will really help you. Great Professor!!

Dr. Kodani is probably one of the nicest teachers I have ever had. He is ALWAYS smiling, no matter what. The tests are challenging, but not difficult and he is truly invested in his students.

Dr. Kodani is the best biology professor ever. He really knows how to make class interesting and enjoyable. There is no reason for anyone not to pass his class. I just wish he could teach Evolution or Animal Phys. You will really know the material when you walk out of his class because he makes it so fun to learn.

He's very funny and interesting to do research with. Get to interact with nature but don't have to do much. Really fun to ride in the car with him to research sites. He'll walk you through how to put together the presentation for the research. He loves to help his students out. Easy to ask him questions and get good feedback.

Great teacher, I dont care much for science but he makes the class fun. He is very energetic and he interacts with the class.He is very caring and want his students to pass, but you do have to study its plenty of material.The book helps but is not necessarily needed but always review those power points and focus and you should pass!

He's a funny teacher and keeps you laughing even when dealing with boring topics. There is a 5 question quiz before every class, which counts for your half of your grade for each class. Don't be late! there are no make-ups.

Dr. Kodani is by far one of the best professors I've had in my college career. He teaches the material well, and goes above and beyond the call of duty for his students. Course was tough, but what bio course isn't? He really broke it down for us to understand and even used ways to help us remember the material. The stretches were awesome too!

In class, he lectures off powerpoints and luckily he has them online, so don't have to necessarily take notes. He gives launchpad and tests. No quizzes!!! He very funny and tries to keep the class alive by doing stretches every class.

I loved him! Such a nice guy and keeps his classes interesting. You do have to study for his tests but if you use the online sources at all, you will pass the tests. The homework is fluffy and helps you learn. I love that he does Yoga mid-class too. It's always fun and wakes you up. Would take him again :)

If you fail his class, then you deserve it because you didn't read or show up for class. Superior teaching compared to other professors at CSU. He truly cares about his students and gives very easy tests. Read and go over his PowerPoints, that's it-simple. You have to try hard NOT to pass his class. Easy A if you put in the effort.

Biol1111 was my first online class. Online classes were not much different from face-to-face class meetings. Participation is crucial in this course as you will be participating in class discussion posts. Warning: the tests are very difficult. I believed that I should have studied harder to score higher, but the assignments didn't help much either.

You can easily make an A in this course. A lot of quizzes but as long as you read the material before class you will have no worries.

I hate science and was terrified to take biology. He made it a lot better for me. He's a great instructor. He's always in a good mood and always willing to assist students having a hard time. Make sure you read and remember his tests from the previous semester. They are almost identical to the ones he used in the current semester.

Took Professor Kodani's class for Bio I & II and enjoyed his energy. He makes most topics interesting and gives a break of stretching during class. His test aren't hard, only need to study homework and powerpoints. I recommend his class to anyone looking for a easy semester of bio.

He is caring at the end of the semester when he told us about the tutor blitz. He said if we just signed our names and leave, he would still give us extra points.

Dr Kodani is one of the most respected professors at CSU and for good reason. He makes classes fun, he tries to help you remember material through use of analogies, anagrams, etc. But what makes Dr. Kodani cool is his personality and wanting the students to have the education that they pay for. Just remember to study HARD for the tests.

Professor Kodani is great. His class is very easy and hes one of the best professors Ive ever taken. I probably couldve made a better grade had I put in more effort. You get what you put into it. Dr. Kodani is an amazing professor. Fall 2018 was my first semester as a student at Clayton State and his class was extremely easy. You have 3 tests that are given and a final exam which is cumulative. His tests are very easy and very much like the old exams that he keeps posted on d2l. He is very understandable and overall a great professor.

Hes honestly one of the most fun and interactive professors Ive ever had! Please show up to class to pass. All of his tests come from the powerpoints and online homework and his final is all of the tests combined together. He has a total of 3 tests and a final. He keeps up with your grade and he is very organized, overall hes a wonderful professor

He's pretty funny and can answer almost any question you may have. At the end of the semester, he can give extra points. However, those points would not be enough to save your grade. He doesn't generally accept late work. You can study for tests sometimes because he recycles questions from previous tests.

Easiest class ever. 2 Discuss. Posts. U have to buy sapling code for hw & it comes w/ the e-book. Every week, there's 3 modules for each chapter - basically MC questions. I just click thru them, pressing random answers til I get 750 pts (means completed). Tests are hard, but u get unlimited att. + no webcam, open notes. Finished w/ 99. KodaniGOAT.

Its impossible to not pass this class. Mr. Kodani is very kind and makes this class a breeze. Assignments, Quizzes, and Tests are soooo easy. The easiest class I have ever taken.

Professor Kodani goes above and beyond. He really makes an effort to connect with his students. He is organized and gives good feedback. This course is also an easy A (online) as he lets you take the exams as many times as you need to get a perfect score.

Great professor!! Gives a pop quiz in the beginning of every class but he basically tells you the answers. You actually learn a lot in his class but he makes learning fun. He is hilarious. This is not the class you can cheat through but if you pay attention the first 5 mins of class you will pass the class with flying colors

Easiest class with the best professor. He is kind and makes the long lab time worth it. Weekly pop-quiz but they were very simple (4 questions max) and the answers are covered beforehand. He makes labs fun and is very energetic.

If you have the choice, definitely take Bio with Professor Kodani. He is super nice and understanding. The assignments aren't hard and he provides you with literally everything you need to be successful in the class and do well on tests. He also had us do yoga halfway through class so we can give our mind a break which I personally loved.

Loved this environmental class. We had to do quizzes on Macmillan every week and they were about 2-3 quizzes a week with 35 questions each but they are fairly easy. We also had 4 exams and 4 discussions. Overall VERY EASY CLASS.

Dr. Kodani is one of the best professors at Clayton State!!! His lectures are entertaining and informative, he even cracks some jokes here and there. He assigns homework every week, but it isn't difficult because he provides PowerPoints on the material. As someone who doesn't like science related stuff, I performed better than expected.

I recommend Dr. Kodani for your lab course. There are "pop quizzes" in the beginning of each class, but he tells us beforehand, so it's not really a pop quiz. There only like 5 questions. The labs are also easy to execute because there done together as a class, before starting them with your group.

I like Professor Kodani. If you have any personal issues going on he's very understanding just let him know and he will do his best. He's one of the best professors on the campus. The course has about 2-3 quizzes per chapter with discussions. The discussions are more of how you feel about certain topics given. 10/10 recommend.

I took his ENVS2202 over the Spring semester in 2024 and enjoyed the class. He made it easy accessing the course materials and even directed us towards using the resources via free trial etc to avoid paying more than we needed to. He was very responsive when emailed and I have no doubt he is a great professor in person. I would take again!

Great professor and really communicative. Took the class online and I have no doubt that I would also have had a great experience if I took it in person. The professor cares about the students and made sure that students were aware of deadlines despite being online. He even let us know about the free trial for the required software! I'd take again!

Professor Kodani is wonderful professor. You do have have to buy the e-book but you have free trial for two weeks until you have to buy it. All your quizzes will be on MacMillan, they are unlimited attempts just have done by 5pm on Monday. You have 4 exams but unlimited attempts on all four of them. Then you'll have 4 discussion boards. pretty easy

A great professor. Lots of reading. All weekly tests come from Achieve, with no lockdown browser or webcam, discussion posting, and only four regular exams. The Macmillan Learning Achieve must be purchased, which is expected to cost over $100.

While this was a virtual class, Dr. Kodani was a good teacher this semester. The online course has you read and complete assignments through Macmillan, which can be time consuming. Overall, this was a good class.
