Excellent professor if you are a Political Science major. You will have to do more work for him than any other PS professor but if your goal is to come out of the class learning something than this is the right man for the job

A very good professor overall. His courses range from a skier's blue square to a black diamond, depending on the specific course. Quite a bit of reading, and regular participation in class is required. Not the easiest, but of high=qality.

This class is hard. Even if you take it as a junior. Dr. Kukk will make you work but YOU WILL LEARN a lot in his class. Be prepared to read and participate and you will do well. If you can't do that then do not take him.

He is a good teacher- he knew exactly what he was talking about. he didnt force his opinion upon us. i got sick of hearing about the debate team. and i couldnt beleive how many nerds were in that class!

Dr. Kukk is a former Environmental Analyst for the CIA teaching Int'l Political Economy. Not necesarrily a subject-matter expert but tries his best. Not as biased as some of the other Professors like Benjamin and gives both sdies a fair shot. IF you are even slightly opinionated, avoid Benjamin at all costs, Kukk is the way to go

His tests are very easy as he gives vocab ahead of time to study and his papers, though long, are also pretty simple. He gives all students a chance to talk, do yourself a favor and take classes with him

Kukk is awesome, but do not take this class for an easy ride. He wants you to learn as much as you can, so you have to read and do newspapers articles and debates, which end up being tons of fun. I have so much respect for him. He didn't even miss class the say that his grandmother died...that is truely dedicated! Great class and a great guy!!!

Kukk is a great guy and he loves to teach. His class isn't easy so be prepared to do some work... but its totally worth it and you'll walk away with so much knowledge. A really helpful guy if you go talk to him during office hours or email him. Always answers questions clearly in class... I highly recommend this class!

Dr. Kukk is great, he is one of the view professors that does have a liberal bias. He is fair and balanced. He knows how to get students motivated and excited about learning and he has such a postive outlook in life and thats not typical with most professors.

Ok, first he's a good guy, even though he looks 12. You must read the pages assigned. You MUST PARTICIPATE IN CLASS! One time, the class didn't want to participate, he got so mad that he canceled class! His midterm and final were hard. he just loves to get the students involved. So if you're not going to talk in class, it could effect your grade.

Was a fun class for me. Very positive teacher. I enjoyed occasionally debating with other students ideas and sometimes even his. He loves any opinion that starts a debate and gets people involved. I didn't read any of the 6 books - just took lots of notes and went to every class. B+

By far the best teacher at this university. You will learn everything that is going on in this crazy world and have fun doing it. Dr. Kukk's way of teaching was very helpful for me. Instead of him giving us multiple definitions to remember he taught our class the main ideas and made those solid in our mind.

Encourages our opinions. I felt like we didn't really do anything in the class except talk about the books we read. Like there was no set cirriculum. But he encourages opinions and discussion, even plays devil's advocate at times. Participate and pay attention, and you'll do fine. Also, it didn't feel like we were in class for an hour. Never drags.

Easily my favorite professor at Western so far. He knows his material back and forth, he is always helpful and encourages questions and discussion, invites you to office hours for help, keeps the content interesting and his tests are extremely fair. A lot of reading, but usually if you pay attention in class you don't need to read. Easy tests if you memorize every term word by word. Fun lectures. It was a 9:25 class on another campus and i didn't mind waking up early to go to it. Take him!!!!!!

Dr. Kukk (and this course) was my first experience of college, and the bar has been set very high. Every class was consistently engaging. There's a decent amount of reading, but it's all thought-provoking. The lessons you learn extend beyond the classroom - to yourself, your community, your perspective on life. Eternally grateful. This is a great introductory course for the honors program here at WCSU. Dr. Kukk doesn't only lecture but facilitates more of a class discussion that feels like a conversation. Even if you don't participate, it is not a boring class. The readings are thought-provoking and the topic for the final project/paper is our choice which was a bonus.

A mandatory professor for honors students, and fortunately one of the best I've ever had. Dr Kukk is a bit unconventional at times, but his classes are extremely enjoyable and he wants to bring the voice out of every one of his students.

One of the most interesting professors I have had the opportunity to take a class with. Extremely knowledgeable on many levels, and he makes the classes fly by. You must like reading and writing. But, you will enjoy the experience. One of those professors the school is very fortunate to have, and he cares about his students.

I cant say I have learned a lot. He thinks simulation game is more useful to learn international relations, but I think lectures are more informative. He gives lots of reading, and all class slacks on it. But, he is very nice, knowledgeable, and inspirational. He cares for his students and for the subject he teaches.

Dr. Kukk is such an interesting professor, I wish I had the time to pick his brain about his life. He is very inspirational and has a twist to education, he believes everyone starts off with an A and it takes a lot to drop that grade. Participate and show up to class and its easy to maintain that A. He is very open on all topics for a final project
