very easy class, and a very nice guy. He said there would be essay tests every fri but we only ended up having 3. 15 page paper turned into 10 and a 10 min presentation turned into 4. non-biased ethnic studies teacher- try finding that one at State.

If you go to class and take notes from class discussion you will pass all his quizzes. Really great teacher, he will listen to any and every opinion and never discredit you.

Great teacher. Gave a quize once every monday and a 10 page paper due at the last day of class. Very open minded and really knows what he is talking about. Great teacher. definately RECOMENDED!!

professor lehman is a great professor. he really knows the information and enjoys teaching it to students. he is very professonal and shows it by using students last names. the books he actually uses and i enjoyed reading the material. i would highly recommend getting up for his classes!he likes students to speak up in class. GREAT PROFFESSOR!

Lehman is a wonderful professor, he knows what he's talking about. There are 2 papers you have to accomplish. The first one is a 5 page on the books you've read and the second one is a ten page research paper. If you do those two things, go to class EVERYTIME, or you will get screwed. Study the notes you get and you'll do fine. Awesome prof!!!

Dr. Lehman is an easy teacher. I got the picture that he is unsure of himself and shows his feelings towards many items talked about in class. Quite a boring class..

Attendance is necessary, weekly quizzes on what is covered in class, not bad, extra credit options, 2 papers with leniant grading, Final is over exact same questions as quizzes and isn't too long, so just study quizzes. Professor Lehman was a wonderful teacher. He really cares about what you think. Do the readings so you can do well on the quizzes every week. Plus, lots of those quiz questions are on the fianl. Just do teh readings, talk a little and hand in your papers and you should get an A. If not, there is unlimited extra credit!

I've never had an easier professor than this one. You don't need to buy the books because you don't need to read, just go to class take notes and right before you take the quizes study for about 10 minutes and you will do fine, I got an A and that's all I did and the papers are a breeze!

He is a very good teacher. He wants everyone to pass his class. If you pay attention you will get an A. The best part of the class is watching cartoons.

Dr. Lehman is one of my favorite professors here so far. Attendance takes about half of the class time every day, and as long as you show up and stay awake, you'll get an A. Quizzes every week are easy and there is a final paper.

He's a pretty cool dude. Doesn't make you feel like you are garbage because your white like most prof's do in the diversity classes. Quizzes every Monday and as long as you pay attention and jot some notes down you will do fine. He lets you develop your own opinion. This professor knows his stuff. He is really quite fun. He chalenges your beliefs, but that is just for good discussion. Weekly quizes are easy. Ten page final paper as well. Final is just questions taken from the weekly quizes. Easy A or B and tons of fun! TAKE THIS CLASS!

This prof is fine but i would not go so far to say that this class is "so fun" as the person below me said. The class is actually pretty boring, hes a cool prof but its not exactly an entertaining class

Prof. Lehman really knows what he is talking about. He has written a few books so when you ask a question he can answer right on the spot or find an answer during class. His weekly quizzes are pretty easy if you read the text and listen to the class discussions.

take this class. just make sure that you show up, the penatly for missing is pretty bad. don't bother buying the books though; he makes it so you summarise everything you should've read during the class, just follow along when you discuss them, take decent notes. a really nice guy, v. smart. the final was easier than expected; just reveiw quiz ?'s

I really thought this class was going to suck being its required, but I actually loved going to class. Discussions are interesting, quizzes are ridiculously easy. Writing a ten page paper for a summer session class is pretty dumb though. Being you have to take it you might as well take it with him. He said he always wanted a chili pepper :)

Easy, fun, awesome professor!! Extremely nice and understanding. Watched a lot of movies and listened to rap and cartoons relating to our class. The only downer was the 10 page paper at the end. Quiz almost every monday but if you are in class the week before, they are no problem. Those quiz questions are put together for the final.

Lehman is a great Prof. Easy going with a dry wit. Classes are composed primarily of discussion and daily quizzes based on those discussions. Shows a lot of Cobert and Jon Stewart. Likes cartoons and comic books. Howard Zinn is the man and Lehman knows it.

Very good. Not bias at all; like the rest of Diversity Professors. Attendance is mandatory. Class is composed of weekley quizes, attendance, and a 10 page paper on anything relating to African Americans. Great class! I recomend.

Objective professor. Answers questions clearly. Incorporates cartoons and movies into lecture. Quizzes are fair, no surprise questions. Final consists of questions taken from the quizzes. Do the readings, show up, use the entire semester to work on your paper and you'll be fine.

I was apprehensive about this class at first but after the first week I was totally at ease. He makes the content interesting and enjoyable. Easy A with minimum effort. Only prob is he's a bit soft-spoken so sit up front if you're hard of hearing. The biggest worry I had was a paper due for a final. Take notes and study them b-4 class each mon.

He is the most incredible professor you can have!!! He teaches a subject matter that usually makes people feel uncomfortable. However, he is highly intelligent and compassionate. He is not there to piss people off but to encourage them to view the world in a different way. He will make you a better college student.

Dr. Lehman's class is excellent. It is an easy A if you show up and take notes(bonus for showing up[hint]). There are weekly quizes(33%), a 10 page paper(33%), and a final(33%.) Thats it. Very friendly and very understanding.

Very good and open-minded professor who does not attempt to brainwash you with "diversity propaganda." The only gripe I have with him is that he mentioned the final paper on the first day of class and never talked about it until a week before it was due. I definitely recommend him.

I had no interest in taking this class, but I was forced to. Lehman actually made it very entertaining, and quickly became my most enjoyable class that semester. Class is really easy if you attend everyday. Textbook really isn't needed at all.

He is a very good teacher, if you show up to class then your on the right track. Showing up gives you all the answers for the quizzes and bonuses sometimes, especially Fridays. Sometimes he is hard to hear, but very interesting in what he teaches and funny too. He really connects with us. I wish he talked about the paper though.

A true gentlemanly scholar! Most people will view Ethnic Studies as a hassle class--one they are forced to take--but Lehman genuinely makes it simple and engaging, yo. The class is very easy and laid-back. He also enjoys wit and dry humor. Choose Lehman if you need to take a Ethnic Studies course. It's the choice of a new generation!

Dr. Lehman is a great professor. Very fun class to attend, however, this requires a lot of writing. 2-page weekly and a 15-page final paper.

He's an awesome professor. Very formal, but incredibly nice. I wasn't very excited to take this class, but he makes it fairly painless. Being in class gives you all the answers to the weekly quizzes. The only thing I don't like about this class is the 10 pg final paper. I think 10 pages is a little excessive for a general class. Still a good class.

I wish more people would take Dr. Lehman's classes. He's very engaging, his lectures are topical, and he lets your papers be about what you find interesting.

Lehman is kind of awkward, but you get use to it and eventually you won't even notice it anymore. 1 quiz every week, and a 10 page paper. He assigns readings but I didn't read a single one and still passed with an A. He's very knowledgeable about things other than African-Americans.

If you ever get a chance to take Dr. Lehman, do. I happened to get him my first semester freshman year and still haven't had a better professor. I always looked forward to going to his class. The class is pretty easy as long you take notes for the quizzes on Mondays. There is 1 10 page research paper, but he's super chill on grading that. Reading isn't required but he does get frustrated when no one in the class reads the assigned text.

Downside was that because it was an early morning class and there was no participation credit givenWednesdays or Fridays it became habit to skip. There was no mention of the ten page paper after the first day. Self driven class. Reading will help!

I took Race in America this past Summer & I thoroughly enjoyed it. We met Monday-Friday for a little over an hour. He is extremely knowledgeable about this topic & always willing to help students. There is a lot of reading for the class and one ten page paper, but overall it was quite easy. I would recommend him to anyone.

The class was pretty interesting. The ten page paper assignment that's due at the end can be fairly challenging but it's not too hard to do and there are a lot of different options to choose from. The quizzes are easy and really they're based off the lecture and the reading. It's a really good class with a really knowledgable professor.

Dr. Lehman is a quirky yet amazing guy. He is passionate about what he does, and he cares about his students. He does not belittle you or make you feel stupid if you have a different opinion than he does. He teaches the information so you understand it. I learned a lot during this class. Quizzes every week and one 10 page paper at the end.

I took this class online. Super easy. Only have to read a few short paragraphs per week, and sometimes extra readings from the book (usually not necessary). Quizzes are almost all T/F and super easy as long as you took notes. Sometimes there is questions on readings, usually not. Lots of extra cred. Never had an issue with him. Long paper due tho.

Professor Lehman is truly amazing. Hes knowledgeable and I assure you every week youll learn something new. The class is easy and enjoyable , online quizzes( answers can be found within lecture), discussion posts (very informative), 1 ten page essay. No exams so dont let the one 10 page essay scare you. Truly take him if you have the chance!

Good class to take if you need an Ethics class. He gives weekly quizzes but if you show up and take notes you will do fine. There is a 10 page paper due on the last day of class but he sets clear expectations for it. I started mine 2 days before it was due and got an A. Didnt give my class any homework and offers so much extra credit.

Took this class online and it was relatively simple. You have a final exam and a final paper (10 pages) and that is the majority of your grade. There are also weekly discussion posts and weekly quizzes and they are not difficult. The professor is very responsive and is passionate about what he teaches. Would recommend.

This class was very easy but I will say his grading was confusing as he never put anything in the grade book. He would respond to my papers with a comment saying my grade but it would never be inputted in the grade book. Id say just keep track of your grades and do the math yourself to see where you fall. Very understanding and easy. read syllabus!

I took this course deliberately because I knew he was an author and I really enjoyed his class. Reading multiple books during the semester was interesting and I think the actual course material was really informative. I feel as if this course was more focused on teaching me things rather than just getting a good grade.

Professor Lehman is a great teacher, and I would like to take another class that he teaches later in the school year. He is very knowledgeable in the subject and is able to translate his knowledge of it well into the lectures. There is 3 books in this class but you only need to read a few chapters.

I enjoyed this class and I recommend taking it was not too much work. We had a 5 paragraph paper due every week pertaining to the lecture and had to do 2 responses to the lectures every week. One final paper at the end of semester which is 10 pages. Easy class to do and the 10 page paper isn't bad when you haven't done much all semester. 10/10 TAKE
