Hard Class. Good Professor. Tests and quizes doesn't always reflect the homework leaving yourself asking "where did that come from?" Personally I think the book is the problem, it doesn't give the difficult problems so when tested on the harder material you are suprised. But the material does get taught with clarity.

I've had many math teachers but this probably one of the best teachers I've had. His grading is fair and his curving is fair. If it wasn't for the curve I bet most students would fail (many dropped throughout the semester as well). It's a hard class but if you're looking for an honest fair professor Christopher comes highly recommended from me.

Professor leirstein's lectures are very interesting. In his class, you are always free to ask questions and has many office hours in case you don't understand anything. Exams are very fair and so is grading. There is a total of 10 quizzes and 10 worksheets, online homework, 3 tests and a final. Professor Leirstein is great! Definitely recommend!

If you go to class, copy his notes (learn them too), and do Webassign, you will do great. He truly wants his students to succeed. Compared to other math professors, he's slightly more lenient in grading as well. He's available outside of class and responds to emails the same day. Take him. One of the best. Amazing. A+.

Best Calc 2 professor at Wayne. Explained material very clearly and will answer even simple algebra. He goes step by step in lecture. Also if you don't miss a day of class he will bump a borderline grade up. Only thing to look out for, each test had a problem that was very hard.

Chris is a great professor and is probably the best math prof if you need to take a math class. His notes are clear and you will need them for the homework and to study. I am not good at math, so I went to the MRC for more help. His quizzes are every week 2 or 3 questions so if you get one wrong you can end up with an undesirable grade.

Chris is an amazing professor. I have never been in a class where, if a student asks a question, he will write out and show them EVERY SINGLE STEP. His tests were easy but beware, they're like the hardest of each section. Homework helps ALOT, sure its a ton of work but if you actually do the homework and understand them then you're set for an A.

Chris is a great math prof, bc he genuinely cares about whether or not his students are comprehending the material presented. But, it is very easy to end up with a rough grade in his course. His exams are roughly 7 ?'s each, completing them with the amount of time given is rare, and even just making 1 small mistake on a ? results in a 6/7 85% B

Chris was one of the best professors I've ever had. He explains everything in a way that is easy to explain, takes the time to make sure everyone's questions are acknowledged, and very obviously is extremely knowledgable in math. I would absolutely take his class for every math course I have to take.

Hes okay. During this pandemic and being online, this class is a little hard. (He makes it hard tbh) We have zoom meetings but have to watch lectures outside. I feel that his zoom meetings dont really help. We get a lot of homework too. He is very picky in grading which I hate so much. He deducts small points for a graph thats not straight.

Get ready to do a lot of homework in this class during the pandemic ;) You have to teach yourself the material. His zoom meetings are mandatory but don't really help tbh. He marks you down for the smallest mistakes and the markdowns range from 2-4 points off. Study!!! I never struggled in math at Wayne but this class has been really hard.

Coming from a person who got high A's in the previous math courses, this class is kind of tough being online. Personally, the Zooms don't help and you have to teach yourself the material which is a struggle. The videos kind of help and the amount of work we have for the amount of time for tests sucks. He is a VERY picky grader too ;/ .

Despite what others have said I'd say Christopher was a pretty good professor. Theres a quiz every Friday they're only 2 questions and he tells you what they're on so if you don't study that's your fault. We had 4 tests this semester and they're 7 questions. Our final was 16 questions. The zoom lectures are kinda pointless b/c we have lecture vids.

Professor Leirstein is a very considerate professor. There are 1o quizzes throughout the semester BUT they are ONLY 2 questions and he tells you what's exactly going to be on them. He gives partial credit to all work and is a fair grader. He answers any questions a student will have and always is respectful. I definitely recommend this professor!

Good professor, but there was a lot going on between posted lectures, having to attend the live lectures, hw, and quizzes. Ik it's intended to help, but it was tedious. Kind of clear expectations. He uses the hardest questions from each unit on the exams which is what gets you you have to spend a lot of time studying or you won't do well.

TOUGH grader. He chooses the hardest questions for exams and you only have 50 minutes to do it. We are online so you basically are teaching yourself and its very hard. The videos or zoom calls dont help. If you can I would hold off on taking it because now I have to retake the course since the math department was inconsiderate during covid/online

He was extremely helpful throughout the course, always willing to explain and ensures you understand the concepts. The aspect that was most important to me about his teaching style was his grading, even if you get final answers wrong on tests he is very sparing with partial credit if you had errors while solving, so you don't fail over small errors

Wasn't the biggest fan of how he set up his online course. Required pre-recorded lectures were usually uploaded the morning of the required zoom meetings. Attendance was mandatory even though we never learned anything on zoom, just practiced problems. But he was good at explaining and pretty understanding of covid circumstances.

Ignore all the old reviews. Since COVID he has made his math classes very hard! You have to watch the lectures on your own which does not help and he does not review the material in the zoom meetings. If you are bombing the quizzes it's because he is a harsh grader. He does not care about you or your situation when it comes to this class. Beware!!!

He takes forever to grade assignments and quizzes. If we had a quiz that morning he would post the graded assignment either the night before at 11pm. The zoom calls are just him doing examples while we watch. Homework isn't bad but it's worth close to nothing, if you are not a good test taker do not take this class.
