He's a wonderful teacher who will take extra time to explain statistical concepts to you. He's also an enjoyable, fun teacher.

One of the first days of class he wrote two phone numbers on the board. One was his home phone and the other was his parents home phone number. He told the class that if we ever needed to talk to someone we could call either number anytime we needed to. I have never met a professor like him before. He is what makes a good professor.Take his class.

Mr. malone is the greatest teacher on this campus. we do not use text books at all and there is absolutely no homework at all in this class. i personally put 0 hours of studing in for this class and did not pay attention in class at all and still came away with a 89%. his ease should be 7/5.

I took stats 110 with another professor last semester and dropped because it was daunting, but Malone makes it doable. He can be funny, he's very fair, and does his best to make material understandable. There are quizzes each week (same with most stats classes so don't judge based on that), standard tests. The catch: he takes an eternity to grade.

Malone is fantastic! He' super easy to understand, lectures are clear and easy to follow, and he gives out TONS of extra credit. He really cares about how the students are doing in the class. He's not very good about giving grades back, but he'll give extra credit if it's taking way too long. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!!!

He uses real data, which let me know exactly how what I'm learning is going to apply outside of school. He was amazing. Take him and you won't be disappointed.

Malone is good if you want an easy A. For example, he'll give partial credit on multiple choice ?s and wants everyone to pass. He makes learning stats very easy and keeps things simplified. Downside is that he doesn't get things graded on time and doesn't use D2L, so you never truly know how you're doing on things.

Before this class, I had taken this course twice (and failing twice). He told me from the beginning I would pass this class. I always showed up because he was hilarious and everything was easy to learn with him. Please take him! He makes a 9:30 class so easy to get up for! Don't count on getting your test/quizzes grades back in a timely manner.

Class became online due to COVID. The in person class was lectures, with handouts (not graded). There's quizzes every friday, and a few tests. The online class was video lectures and homework, no quizzes/tests, and was fairly straight forward. Do not expect homework back quickly. Malone is very laid-back, and I enjoyed his lectures.

Best professor at WSU! He obviously grades by how your scores are in class, but your effort matters more in the class. I really should've gotten a D+ or a C if I'm being real based on my scores, but because I was actively trying, asking questions, and showing up to class. I got a B which was good considering my test/quiz scores were like 68 or 72

I was worried for stats but Malone cares more about effort rather than comprehension. If you try, he will help you succeed. I should've ended his class with a low C. He offers extra credit, drops 2 quizzes, and usually curves at least 1 of the 3 exams he gives. Not to mention, he's hilarious and attending his class always gave me a good laugh.
