good teacher, entertaining, tests are a little difficult, but overall a good teacher.

This professor is very laid back, he makes everything clean cut, he grades easy and when it's test time he reviews evrything that's gonna be on the test so there isn't any surprises

Great professor with a fun teaching environment. I looked forward to every class and was amazed at how well he presented every topic. He helped everyone related to the material, making it easy to learn everything that was put out. I plan on taking another one of his classes next semester. Again, GREAT PROFESSOR!

Chris is a good teacher. His lectures are really interesting and gets the entire class involved. The tests are a little difficult, but if you study the notes from the lectures, you will do fine. I would recommend Chris to anyone.

I liked the style of teaching it was very involving with the students, If you participate in conversation, show up on time, YOUR going to get a "Good Grade" 10% or so was participation grade. Tests are only hard if you dont pay attention.

Pretty good teacher. Tried to make the class interesting. The only bad thing is the only grades you get are your test grades and one research paper and participation. He tries to help anyone who needs help. I would recommend him.

Highly Recommended Professor. Enjoy his sense of humor, but he also get into the material. Makes class fun and highly recommend him to anyone. How is it possible Govt could be fun?! =D

Even if you don't care to understand the Federal Gov. you still somehow gain the knowledge and land on you feet. also does not hurt that the class is entertaining.

This professor is an easy A I recommend that you take him for ECO2013, he instructs to his students with modern realistic ideals. He is Very helpful and I have learned alot of interesting things for it just being an economics class....

As far as tests, class and homework assignments are concerned he tells exactly what is going to be covered on it. All students have to do to pass his class is show up to class pay attention and take noted depending on how well they can learn independently. He cracks jokes and discusses real life issues so there is never a boring class.Best teacher.

Coolest teacher I've ever had. Focuses more on making sure the material is understood than giving assignments. Very open to discussions and wants to hear his students opinions. I would grab a seat in his class in the future.

Professor Markl knows his material. He is also able to present the information and lesson with a mixture of techniques. One thing that could be improved is getting assignments posted on blackboard the minute he assigns them rather than late.

Soooo Uuumm...I would suggest taking his class. If you come to class and get involved there is no way you can do bad. He can take the most boring topic and and turn it around to make it your favorite subject.

Awesome teacher, keeps the learning environment challenging but not tricky. He helps you to understand and resolve your own thinking while keeping the circulum of the class. I highly recommend this professor.

First time i came to chris markl's class my life flashed before my eyes because i knew i would never be around a man as great as the one they call chris. i can came to fccj on a football scholarship but wasnt able to play due to me making a 12 on my SAT's. thanks to chris i know am an active member of mensa and have a credit score of 3,837,105

now that i know we have a football team i am going to take more of markl's classes!!

Chris Markl is a good professor, he does make Economics very interesting and lets you know what will be on each test. You do have to study and you will be okay.

Super hottie Professor!

This is a good professor. All you have to do is come to class, take notes, and study them for the tests. The only grades we had were the two tests. That can be a good thing but abad thing at the same time. What if you miss a day or two. Or what if you didn't do so well on one test, or both tests. Then you would fail the class. Very laid-back profes

He made the class fun and entertaining as possible for being online. You had to do your DB and papers, but you got to take your quizzes over and over (till the due date) to get a better score which was cool.

Took his 8 week class. There is two of everything each week.Was really easy! Test are kinda hard, but quizzes are easy and you can take them as many times as you like before the due date. Answered any questions I had, was a little late on grading, but kept you informed on when grades would be posted.

I liked the class very much.It showed me how to appreciate the jobs of those who work internationally to protect us.

If you want a teacher where a teacher will read from the book and you copy down information, you will not like this class. If you want a professor who tries to be engaging and make you think chris's classes r for you! Dont know the angry messages below, i was in the same class & it was awesome. Likely from lame students who sit & say nothing.

I took the hybrid class and LOVED it. He showed several videos and we discussed them.I did learn a lot. He gave two essays and did take attendance. Very relaxed. I disagree, I do think he is very hot.

I would take him again. Disappointed he wasn't teaching summer classes. Quizzes you can take multiple times but you never know what the right answer is after. Tests you can only take 1 or 2 times. He is really nice!

I would recommend this professor if you do not attend class regularyly, he does not take roll, very laid back and videos/movies is what he teaches on 90% of the time!! 2 test(kind of difficult but he gives the answers the week of the test) BOTTOM LINE:EASY GRADE!!!

There is only one word to describe him :" Awesome". He use real word theory and apply to the class. I am sad he is leaving.

Excellent teacher, very laid back. Took the 8 wk online course. Everything is plainly stated in the syllabus-technically you could do all of the work in a weekend if you're motivated. Group project required at the end and overall it counts for like 15% of your grade, make sure you participate and communicate or else youre on your own.

I took this class online and he wasn't very involved, I think he got on three times throughout the course to respond to questions and grade assignments, however he makes it clear what he is expecting in each assignment and makes it so students have to help each other. He was understanding on deadlines, and catching up. Take him.

He really isn't too involved but everything is online and you know what you have to do. Tests were hard for me, despite the fact that I was free to use google and my book. He doesn't make the tests though, so it's not his fault at all. Just make sure to know the material before attempting. Everything is on MyEconLab aka amazing

Great Teacher, Great Class! - The syllabus tells you everything you need to know, no need to contact him unless your extremely needy. The test are hard, esp. if your not in to eco2023. It's an online class so expect to be online .

Took for Economics. I've never been under so much stress for a class, I thought for sure I was going to fail. But, he weighs the homework and the Paper way more than the tests, which is why I received a B. Overall, If you put forth an effort, you will pass. I would take again- he went above and beyond to make sure everyone got a grade they deserved

8 week online class. 8 discussions, takes off if you don't respond to at least 2 peers. 1 project. Weekly test and Homework through MathXL (MyEcon). As long as you keep up with the work you'll do fine. Took Eco2013 and Eco2023 at the same time and passed with high B's. I recommend if you like working alone.

Lab homework and test every week, 2 tests on midterm and final exam day. This class was 8 weeks though, not usual 12-16 week class. Considerate instructor but late answering student emails/msgs. Encourages students to contact him if help is needed. Really tries to help you pass the class though. Tests not overly tough. Content complicated.

Professor Markl was amazing!! I didn't have to communicate with him a lot but when I did he was helpful. This class was an eye opener about the economy and how different things are done. How money is handled and managed. You'd think the class was hard because of all the reading and graphs but man he is just the Bomb!!! Take this class, any class

Minus the fact that he takes a bit to grade and respond, good teacher!! Easy A for sure! You have 10 homework assignments, about 7 tests, including a midterm and a final which is all online and you have multiple attempts and 8 discussion posts and a paper. The paper is a piece of cake. I received an A and you can work ahead. I'm taking him again.

This is my 2nd class with him and 2nd A. Easy! You learn as long as you actually read like I did. Regardless, you have homework for each module that are easily understood, 4 tests, a midterm and a final, as well as discussion posts. The midterm and final are 2 parts. EASY A! TAKE HIM!!!

I took this class online and he offered multiple opportunities on homework and quizzes. All exams were taken straight from the homework and book.

Markl gets right to the point. The modules are broken into sections and are clear and precise. I learned everything online and it was very well thought out. One thing I will say is that he takes a few days to get back to you but is similarly lax with you as well.
