Very easy going and lenient professor. No tests, not a whole lot of essays either. 10/10

It was a little intimidating having a new professor but he was really nice and caring. Inserts current events into discussion, a really good professor to have. You'll write a few papers (maybe 4?) and he'll grade them and give you feedback. Your final will be a portfolio of your final drafts of the papers. Nice class, would take again.

Took his hybrid class for Comp 2. Very easy minimal work (about an hour a week) for reading assignments and very few essays. Nice guy, gave good feedback and would highly recommend him for anyone taking a comp class.

He is by far the best English professor I have ever had. He hates the terms grades and would rather you take something from his class. He makes you understand everything. As long as you do the work you will pass, and if your failing he trys to help you out. If you can definitely take him!!!! I took his hybrid class and loved it and him!!!!

He's a wonderful professor, genuinely cares about his students.. wants to see everyone pass. only 3 essays with the first 2 being incorporated together as the final. (no tests) as well as weekly discussion posts. He seems to kind of lacks confidence in his teaching ability although he's a wonderful teacher. I would take again. Great class!

I'd wish Mr. Martin taught more than 1101. He cares about his students very much and the feedback you will receive on your essays will reflect how much he is devoted to your success. He's caring and sensitive, and will make the effort to help you in any situation outside the classroom. Hearing from him after the course was over made my week.

I enjoyed this class. Prof Martin is so caring and genuinely cares about your education. The class isn't difficult at all. If you show up and do the work, it is an easy A. He is very approachable and class discussions are on current issues so they are engaging and fun. There are only 2-3 essays and no tests. Your final is basically a reflection.

Show up, participate, and give effort and you'll get an excellent grade in the class. He gives you the freedom to write about a broad range of topics and is open to any new ideas and feedback. Professor Martin is a super nice teacher and he makes sure that everyone is following along. As long as you keep up with the online assignments and turn in your compositions on time you'll be fine. Also I had the hybrid course so we only met once a week and attendance was a part of the grade so it's not bad at all.

Professor Martin is easily one of the best professors at Kennesaw. Seriously, show up, do the online discussions, and write 3 papers. That's it. That's all there is. It is impossible to fail. I struggled very much on the compositions, yet he helped me, saw effort and gave me constructive criticism. A great family guy. Taking him again for 1102.

He enjoys class conversation and I personally appreciate that. He gives plenty of time for due dates. There's really no reason to not get an A, unless you just simply don't do basic work. Take him.

Nice prof, cares about all students in the class, interested in genuine learning. Focuses on creating/responding to "arguments" and thinking about things like rhetoric. Heard these things in other classes but nice to get to actually apply them to real world conversations. Class not easy but not a burden

I've never rated a professor in my whole college career, but I couldn't help but rate Professor Martin. Literally the best professor, and I took him for Engl1101. He is very clear on how to attain an A in the class, so just follow the plan if you want an A in the class. A GPA booster class. I'm a bio major so I wanted to take a lightweight class.

Professor Martin was the best, I wish I had him for 1102 but his classes fill up so fast. No tests/quizzes, only a course portfolio due at the end of the semester. Great guy and great feedback, really gives his students creative freedom with the portfolio.

His class isn't even hard. It is based off of a journal, unit reflections and a course project. You have to read books and coming to class you will be able to gain a better understanding of the text. He explains very well even though some if the lecture be lengthy. He is easy to contact. He values creativity and gives a new perspective. 10/10 !

This teacher is amazing! He is very lenient and understanding. There are 2 major essays that are done throughout the semester. We had a lot of discussions and the class was a safe zone so we could tell our struggles and opinions on certain topics easily. I really enjoyed the class.

A genuinely great and caring guy. Just an absolute sweetheart. There is absolutely no way to do poorly in his class unless you refuse to do certain things. He basically just gives you an A for trying on anything you turn in. Good course material and low effort. I was always worried I had something due because nothing was ever due. Highly recommend.

Took him Fall 2020 and loved him! If you just show up and listen to the conversations in class you will be all good! He is very respectful and understanding of his students. It seems like there are a lot of books to read in the beginning but they are all poetry books so you can read the whole book in under an hour!

Prof Martin truly cares about his students and their well being, along with the importance of learning and taking something from his class. He only assigns 3 papers the entire semester along with weekly journal assignments that help you towards completing your essays. Not a difficult class, he will help you out without hesitation. I've had a professor Martin for ENLG 1101, 1102, and 2110. All the classes were very interesting and easy. It is mostly participation grade if you attend class and follow all the directions. The courses are very organized and clear. The lectures are engaging. Professor Martin respects the students and cares about them. Take his classes!

This is my second time taking Professor Martin, he's the best! Take him, you won't regret it. You have to work for your grade he is not just going to hand it to you, but he will work with you. Back when we were in person discussion in class is a big part of the class dynamic.

Professor Martin is AWESOME! He is super relaxed about the assignments, gives us plenty of time to complete them, and does not take late grades. There was also only about two or three the entire semester and they were super easy. I recommend him if you need an easier class on your schedule but please do not take advantage of his patience!

Prof. Martin only had one official due date, so if you procrastinate you might want to get a calendar to stay on track. He would email you every week to make sure youre on track and provide feedback for the units. His grading is easy as long as you write according to his requirements. Everything needed is in a google doc and assessable.

I have taken professor Martin for ENGL 1101 & 1102 and World Lit. He is by far the best professor I have ever had. He is a genuine person and will reach of his students on a personal level. There is so much to learn from him. It would be in your very best interest to take his class/classes.

I took his online class during the summer, easiest class Ive ever taken. He is always an email away, he cares about his students, and he makes sure to send emails every week with the assignments you should be doing so you dont fall behind. Overall a very caring teacher. I did all of his assignments the week before the deadline and got an A.

Easiest class I've ever taken! Professor Martin truly cares about his students well being before their grades. He is very flexible and understanding. As for the course I took, the assignments had "soft deadlines" meaning you can still turn them in weeks after they're due. He will work with you and do whatever he can to make sure you succeed.

I wouldn't consider this class "easy." If you want an honorable grade than he'll make you work for it in your own comfortable way. You still have to do work. It would be what others disrespectfully say as "easy" if there weren't assignments. I would take this professor again. Really got more than what my money's worth with this guy.

He has a truly unique teaching environment,being understanding of student's needs(absences and flexible deadlines)while creating a comfortable class.He can tend to ramble on during class,re-stating things.He only gave 3 final assignments which didn't help to get a feel of his grading before then. Martin is not just a professor but he is a friend that you can go up to for anything. He understands the feeling of what is like to be a student at this time. I wish I had him way sooner. Every thing is up to you. If you come in every day, participate, and do your assignments, I guarantee you this is not difficult weather you an export or not.

I took this class as a full time dual enrollment student and loved it. The class moved super slowly and was not stressful like my other classes. Prof Martin was very understanding, attendance and participation is encouraged, and the way his grading is set up it makes it very hard to fail his class. If you need help he is accessible in every way.

Professor Martin is the best literature prof.I've taken. The course work is just material in class, not much homework, two essays that are open to creativity, and participation matters and just paying attention. I wish students would respect him more. He's more about helping people grow than him feeling as if it's a job. Would recommend him 100%.

Super easy as long as you do the work and show up to class. Really understanding professor, by far my favorite English teacher. Had to write one narrative on anything that was like 800 words, one analysis about something similar to the narrative about 500 words, and one email arguing for your grade.

Mr. Martin is an amazing professor. He was very accommodating and very flexible with his assignments (I was allowed to turn in a video in place of an essay for one of my assignments) and just teaches a really fun class. Easy to talk to, easy lectures to listen to, I had a great time. I 100% recommend taking his class.

My experience with second level English with him was very unique. Class was cancelled about 90% of the time (cancelled more than actual classes). All we did for class was write our research paper and an email explaining our thoughts and feelings with the class. Super down to earth guy and really sweet and caring, I wish he didn't cancel class much.

Professor Martin is a great guy and great professor - he genuinely cares about you and your success, and explained things very well. Class was cancelled more often than not due to circumstances beyond his control. This skewed my experience with this class. I would not take this class again, but I would take him for another course.

Probably had class a total of 8 times during the semester because he cancelled. The only thing we had to complete was a single reflection essay at the end of the semester. Super easy class, but you have to show up.

All you have to do to get a good grade is participate in class. We had three papers and that was the entire grade and you could go to the professor for feedback. The papers were basically a completion grade if you showed up to class and participated a little bit. Honestly one of my favorite classes to date.

I usually struggle with ENGL classes, but this one was a breeze. I took it over the summer, and it hardly felt like I was taking a class at all. We had four reflections, with the option to skip one. The topics were really engaging, making the course enjoyable. Hands down, the best professor I've had!

I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR! He is amazing, and really down to earth. The work is super easy, journal prompts and a final essay. He is very lenient on due dates, and will always try to work with you. I had him Monday and Wednesday, and attendance was only required on Wednesdays.

You won't have a single regret taking this class. He is so easy going with deadlines and assignments it is almost impossible to not get an A unless you truly slack and don't submit a thing. I did not have an ounce of stress in this class. He is the absolute best.
