We all know that Calc 1A is not easy and you have to study. He is an excellent professor. Always in his office hrs and give classworks which helps for exam.I really recommend this prof. I really appreciate him teaching me Calculus. Very helpful....

I really enjoy having Mr. Noffsinger as my math teacher. He does a great job explaining problems and is very patient when I have questions regarding a problem. He is always available in his office when I have a question. He passes out ICE worksheets that are very helpful. I highly recommend having this teacher as a math teacher.

Mr. Noffsinger is an extremely helpful professor. I've never had a day where I left class without a good understanding of the lecture. He's very good at explaining concepts and clearing up any type of confusion. Pretty easy-going man.

Mr. Noffsinger is an excellent professor because he understands the students needs and adjusts to those needs, he would change perspectives of a hard concept and he would use simpler words to explain the concepts.He's always on time and he's always in his office during his office hours.

This class was way better than the other math class I took. However I did not like that the homework was online at all. It took so long to type in the answers and it was more frustrating then just doing it out of the book. But still a very good class.

Christopher Noffsinger is a great professor. He explains every problem very clearly that if one would just listen properly can easily get above 80%. Math 52 was a last math for me but if i had to take more math I would just take with him. His class is easy because of the way he teaches. Best maths teacher so far I've had. Enjoy your class.

Mr. Noffsinger is one of the most approachable and helpful teachers I've had. He explains the concepts well and I would recommend this class. Nothing's handed to you, you'll have to work hard and study of course but he's not opposed to extra credit opportunities either.

Very helpful if you need it. Clear and well explained lectures. He gives you notes to print out on canvas so you can fill in where he does examples on the board. I would take him again. Definitely a great math teacher if you struggle with math.

Took his summer stats. He was so clear and explained everything so well it made the class easy. Lab was not a big thing really, he would just check your lab and check you off for doing it. His practice problems are very helpful and those are just like what your tests will be like. Don't miss class because you miss a lot.

He doesn't make you feel stupid if you don't understand something and will explain it to you 15 different ways until you get it.

Prof. Noffsinger is a great guy; however, I do not prefer his teaching method. Hardly assigns hw, expects you to find test relevant problems out of the book. He is not a very organized person, and lectures tend to get focused in on one topic or don't elaborate enough. Tests always feel like finals, but with enough prep. are reasonable.

His lectures generally left me more confused than when originally introduced to the material. He's indecisive about the way he wants to introduce material which was a little frustrating. Despite me not being a fan of his methods, he is extremely kind and more than willing to meet with you during office hours to help you one on one.

The class is somewhat difficult but Professor Noffsinger is very helpful and is willing to go over things that you don't understand. He also makes sure to mention all opportunities for extra help and tutoring. Hr doesn't give much homework which is nice. You just have to make sure you study out of class as well.

I have a B in the class. Stats is really hard material. I do not do well on the exams but only because I panic. He doesn't give a ton of homework but makes your homework count so it helps your overall grade. He gives extra credit and even gave us extra credit for giving blood. He is very nice and lectures have a laid back feel. He is a great Prof.

Verry helpful and receptive to his student's questions and concerns. He fosters a class environment which is very open to questions, he is never condescending towards students. He is also very helpful in lecture clarifying on hard topics if needed. Test are challenging but fair as he is generous with partial credit. Just make sure you study your HW

Do the practice problems he assigns for test prep and you should do well on tests. He gives partial credit on tests even if you get the wrong answer as long as you understand the concept. I recommend Noffsinger for students who actually want to learn stats and earn the grade and not for someone who wants an easy A.

Always ask questions if you are lost in the material. He is always happy to help if you're confused. When he leaves you to your devices, it's to show him you understand. He is pretty fair as a teacher and is always good for a chuckle.

This professor is really great and doesn't grade too harshly. My only recommendation would be to attend every class or you will fall behind.

DO NOT LET LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY AFFECT YOUR DECISION TO TAKE THIS CLASS! The material is killer but prof. Noffsinger does his best to work with you and ensures you understand everything before tests and quizzes. Show up to class, pay attention to lectures and do your homework and you should have no problems passing. Basically, be an actual student.

Notes were given and you just have to fill in throughout the lecture, which was very nice. Not much homework. I never felt prepared enough for the quiz or test because homework was much easier and lecture just covered the basics. Make sure to study and ask any questions. Tutoring on campus also helps a lot!

Honestly, pretty good. You'd be shocked to see your 68 be actually a C. Skip class you wont pass.

Noffsinger always comes to class with a smile on his face. He really does care about his students. Attendance is a must. Noffsinger is willing to meet outside class, and grades extremely in favor of the students. Easy to work with, and hes approachable.

I've taken Mr. Noffsinger before I can say that he does care about his students and goes the extra mile to make sure you pass his class as long as you also show interest. I will say though that stats has been the hardest math course for me as math is not my favorite subject but Mr. Noffsinger does try to make it easier for his students.

He curves really well with a 60 percent as a C so just try your best and put in some effort and hopefully if you put in time and effort you'll get rewarded.

He gives a green sheet with formulas to use on tests. Gives plenty of reviews before exams. Little homework, no book use. Overall, I would give him a 10/10.

Great teacher, very enthusiastic. Offers extra help outside of the class. If he sees that you are trying your hardest he will make sure that you pass the class. The subject itself is hard so it will be a tough class but he IS the best teacher to take if you need statistics.

Not a really bad professor, but could be confusing sometimes. However; he doesn't grade you that hard and is very easy going. Gives you time to do your assigned work and is fine with late works.

Prof Noff is a good egg. He's genuinely interested in helping his students succeed; approachable, likeable & passionate about statistics. Pretty lax on hw grading, a bit tougher on quizzes & exams. Overall fair. My only complaint is that he's occasionally too nice. Sometimes it's appropriate to tell Chatty Kathy to BE QUIET during lecture!

Prof. Noffsinger was an awesome instructor. He was very clear during his lectures, and was willing to take the time to pause and explain in further detail if anyone was confused. The subject is difficult, no way around it, but he definitely made it easier to absorb. If you have reservations about the subject, or a full schedule, he's you're guy.

Math is very hard for me. I signed up for tutoring right away (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED) but still struggled. Noffsinger however is a good teacher, always willing to meet outside of class, and a very lenient grader. If you're lost on a exam ? just do as much as you can and he gives you some points.

One of the better math professors at Yuba. Although his exams are harder then other Math1A professor's exams, his lectures are clear and he is very approachable.

Very clear, easy to understand lectures. There is space to miss classes. You get to leave class almost an hour early if you finish your work quickly after the lecture. Very kind, funny professor, though a little awkward (that just adds to the personality). I missed class often due to work and still managed a B+. Loved Noffsinger. Would take again.

I started with an F, but jumped to a C at the end of the term. Is very accessible out of class! He helped answer my questions and motivated me when I was frustrated. Calc 1 was abstract from other math courses Ive completed, but with his help, I pulled through with a good grade and understanding of the content. Highly recommend, would take again!

I took his ethics class and it was a positive experience. Lots of group discussions, light reading, a couple papers, and a few pretty straightforward tests. Kind caring man that will go out of his way to help his students.

For a course like this it's better to take in person rather than online. The professor is very caring and accessible to helping you as long as you go to his office hours online. Most of the material from the lectures will appear on the exams but he'll sometimes throw in questions he never taught. PLEASE DO constant review & practice questions!!!!

Noffsinger is a great teacher. He teaches Calculus from the ground up which is incredibly helpful. By giving insights on how calculus was founded it helps greatly in continuing with the math. I took this course in High-school so I already knew many of the concepts from memory, but he helped me know the foundational skills and derivations.

He's one of the few professors who explains everything clearly and actually breaks down why things happen. Calc 2 is hard, so you do have to put in real effort, but his class prepares you for anything harder. Some students complain that he doesn't allow a formula sheet or calculator, but you really shouldn't need them because ur taking calc 2.
