Mr. Pallotti was very strait forward in his expectations. He presented the information in a fun way and gave everyone the oppertunity and respect to share their views. I enjoyed the class very much and would definatly suggest him to any other student.
this guys is awesome. i had his philosophy 101 class and he always let us share our opinions and have our awesome debates. His tests are fairly easy and come mostly from what he says in class. Besides, he gives so much extra credit that it would be hard to get less than a B in the class.
BEST PHILOSOPHY TEACHER EVER!!! MR. PALLOTI IS THE MOST UNDERSTANDING TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. HE IS SO GREAT!!! HIS TESTS ARE FAIRLY EASY AS LONG AS YOU STUDY. MAKE SURE TO TAKE THIS TEACHER.
Mr. Pallotti is a really nice guy and he is very hot. I'm in love......
Take him!! Best professor I've had at LAVC. He actually cares about the students. Some in-class exercises, he goes around the class and helps us out. Practice quizzes before tests. Really nice guy and did I mention good looking.
He is very nice, gives 5 test 50 multiple choice question, do the reading before class and do the HW,u'll do fine. The matirial itself is NOT easy!!! he will meet u for office hours but u need to make sure u get it yourself!!! Good Luck
This teacher is so nice. I love him because he goes out of his way to help the students and if you show up everyday he gives like an extra 30 pts
Do not take him in summer. He does not adjust his material to reflect a 5 week course. Too much too quickly. The tests are ridiculous.10 fill in,10 muliple choice,10 matching,10 short essay,10 T/F and whatever other types of test you can think of. And when he says his test are easy, My advice Study Up!!!!!Know
This teacher is one of the best that you will come across in college. You will definitly learn so much in his class...believe me it is not just a waste of time. He is at the point in his career where he still cares about his students. I highly recommend that you take any on professor Pallotti's courses.
i took this class over the summer and it was easy. he ofers 40 points of extra credit, 100 points are gimme did you do your hw, andhe drops one of the tests which are in total worth 300 points. it worked out that if you did all the ec you only need to average 78 on the tests for an A. great teacher, he made the class interesting
I didnt talk much in class but definitely gained very useful information for my life. If youre reading this Prof.- great class.
Very easy class. Gives enough extra credit to make it nearly impossible not to get an A. Take this class if you want a mellow teacher who helps his students.
This is my favorite class this semester! Prof. P really opens your mind to different possibilities. I dare you to try to leave the class without learning something. Lectures can be a little scattered, but the wisdom behind them more that makes up for it!
Pallotti's class was very interesting, the class is hard but as long as you do the readings and take notes you'll be fine, don't be afraid to ask him questions (he is VERY helpful)I had a blast
This was my favorite class this semester. Prof Palotti did a great job at keeping the class interesting! He has a great sense of humor and connected well with the class. I left the class feeling like I learnt a lot. I would take it again in a heartbeat!
Professor Pallotti's class was very good, but I could not do well on the tests for some reason, you really need to carefully read the short reading a couple times. I managed to get a C but it was not easy for me. Professor Palloti is a cool professor though and I would recommend his class but not if your looking for an easy A.
A great prof. and very sweet. Tests were a bit difficult cuz i didnt spend a lot of time studying for em. Take good class notes even if he doesnt write it on the board and know the readings well enough to distinguish between the philosophers. Not so easy but I managed to get a B with a helf from all the extra credit offered.
Chris is a great teacher. He knows what he's talking about and he's a great dresser. What else can you ask for in a teacher?
he knows his stuff, and is very nice but don't take this for an easy class or an easy A. The class discusions were very interesing. And I'm surprised by all the hottie ratings, sure, if you like bald men with crooked teeth!
he's a great teacher. very casual down to earth guy. all u have to do is attend class (he gives extra credit for that) and take notes. the tests are scantron and he reads the questions on the test 1 day before so you know what to study for. lots of extra credit opportunities, take him for sure, easy A.
By far the greatest philosophy teacher i have ever had. He is so helpful and understanding. He gives an opportunity of 35 extra credit points. He is so nice and always has a smile on his face. He is one sexy teacher. hehe
Good guy and very helpful... The only problem is that if you take him during summer he expects a lot... There is plenty of reading and tests, so be prepared...
Don't take if you are not able to study a couple of hours a week though. He is a nice techer but expect alot of homework. I studied and took alot of notes and still got a C.
BESTTTTT TEACHERRRR!!! i loved going to class, and you get extra credit for never missing class. clear cut tests. he tells you whats going to be on it. all from your notes. HIGHLYYYY recommend him to everyone!!
Great professor, makes a complicated subject interesting. Xtra credit for good attendence. hihgly recommend
Cool people
Great teacher - warm, friendly, and open minded! He really engages you in the material and the class discussions were titilating! Draw back - his method of testing is difficult, to say the least - I worked for that A! He doesn't test on broad concepts and your understanding of the material, but rather on really obscure details from the text.
hated the class, but liked him. if you've got to take critical thinking, he's the way to go. the exams are very subjective in my opinion. of course the prof's answers are always "the most right", so just hope your critical thinking agrees with his. bonus: if you go to every class w/o being late, you'll get 25 extra pts. at the end of the semester.
This class is difficult. You have to study, study, study and put a lot of hours towards it. The professor is very helpful. Extra points for good attendance. You need the book.
If you are looking to get an easy A dont take him!You must take really good notes,if not you have no way of passing his test.He doesn't give specific reviews. The reading is difficult to understand and from that reading he makes you work in groups to answer questions. But as a person i loved him!He is so cute and nice,i enjoyed going to class.
I took him in the fall and still have a crush on him. He made it worth going to class twice a week.
All you have to do is take really good notes, listen carefully, and be really into the subject. He's a good guy, and he even gives extra points for being there all the time. Don't take it if you're looking for an easy A.
The class was challenging in terms of what we covered, however the teacher was very generous with the grading. He was sweet, funny, and taught me so much!
I took both PHIL 1 & 6 over a year ago and he is amazing!!! I swear I am still IN LOVE w/him, there is something about Prof Pallotti that is so superbly appealing and captivating, I just cant put into words he is amazing! The class is no easy A, I worked hard 4 both of mine but let me tell you keeping attendance is not hard at all he?s gorgeous! <3
The lectures that he gives are all in the tests, so you must pay attention and take very good notes. He gives 10 in class assignments, which require textbook reading, three tests including the final and an optional extra credit assignment. He also gives extra points to students that go to class everyday without being late, overall it requires work
I took 3 classes with him, and got all A's. He is great! Very helpful during office hours. Gives extra creditfor attendance. Take him, You'll not regret it!
one of the coolest professors at lavc
I will never take a class with him again. I expected so much more.
I was taking this class because I'd heard good things about him. They were not true. This was a miserable class. Oh well. Lesson learned.
i loved him. The first week or 2 of classes he seemed iffy and boring but once he gets comfortable with the class he is really funny and cool. he also has a good sense of style. His tests are pretty straight forward, you dont really have to do the reading as long as you take GOOD notes in class. Everything he talks about in class is on his tests.
don't jawjack
This guy class if ok. But he is a heartless teacher. I was 11 points away from getting a C. and he did not give it to me. did not even let me do anything for that extra 11pt.
Everything about this prof and his class are at the level of a top, prestegious university. It's a privelage to have him at LAVC. His class is difficult and he's a tough grader. His lectures are good and he's extremely intelligent, but to do well you need to study hard. Not the guy to take if you just want an easy community college A.
AMAZING teacher, very funny and a cool guy to talk to after class. Youll need to take good notes bec most of his test comes from his lectures. If you take good notes youll get an A. If you dont understand something, hes more then happy to talk to you about it after class. Dont take any other philo professor but this one!!
For being a difficult subject-symbolic logic, he gives plenty opportunities of getting extra credit or a higher grade in the class which is a plus. It might have been my study techniques, but I didn't appreciate the surprises on the tests. He always says the exam will mirror the HW or practice tests but they never did.
Professor Pallotti is a really cool teacher. Showing up for class every time gives you extra credit. It is a hard subject to wrap your head around, but his lectures explain alot and he loves when you participate in them especially if you dont agree. If you email him and show up at his office a few times to talk, he will love you.
Damn cool professor. Speaks intelligently and responds in a very thoughtful manner, addresses questions at the level of a top notch university professor. If you take an interest in his class and follow his lectures diligently, you can score highly. Your grade will directly reflect your effort. A pleasure in a hard subject.
Great guy! Has a passion for the subject... Out of all of my profressors he gave me the information the quickest... You must do the work he will show you the way... If you need help he will! Extra points for attendance... He cares but you must earn your grade... ESP high rating!
very easy to comprehend, has a right attitude toward what he does, all n all, if are taking a class with him, u might just upped ur chance to get an A.
If you do not memorize the book word for word from the reading assignments, you will not pass. He's ridiculous about attendance and cell phone use. If you're not a philosophy major, do not take this class. This guy is a tree hugging jerk who thinks way too highly of himself. Don't be late, leave your cell phone at home, & memorize everything.
He is a really cool Professor but his test and assignments are really hard. What he looks for are exact words from the book not a summary. He is cool but he is really hard their is no way you can pass this class without reading.
Knows the subject well. If you DON'T AGREE with him then you are WRONG. Gives extra credit for attending class, but if you are absent or LATE more then 3 times you dont get points. TAKES 10 points away every time he sees your phone out so DONT TEXT! If you use rhetoric or a fallacy when speaking with him he makes an example out of you.
This Professor is not as easy as you think. He wants word by word from the book and a lot of the time he spend class time talking about his views in philosophy. This is a fun class though it is just not easy. His test are hard so make sure that you read and memorize everything in the book. He is very helpful! If you visit his office hours
this teacher is too hard, takes off points for being a couple minutes late, doesn't give extra credit, & no makeup tests, so if your dying sick & miss his test, expect a fail. His lectures are kind of interesting however, he talks the whole 3 hours in class and if hes not done talking you must wait for him to be done & answr other peoples questions
Attendance is awarded, so come to class everyday. Read ALL the material and do your best to memorize it. The tests are fairly difficult, he is looking for straight definitions. If you love philosophy, he is a great teacher.
Intelligent.Talks beautifully using academic language. Gives 25 points for attendence. Both his tests are not easy and consist multiple-choice questions and 8 essay questions. A Power Point presentation is the easiest part of the class. Study questions from your group assignments, plan 3-4 hrs/w to read and take good notes. I worked hard on my A.
Interesting professor! Which will keep u from falling asleep. Likes to go off topic sometimes and gives extra credit for good attendance!
The class's not easy, but interesting.-Pallotti? the most unapproachable professor there is.-the tests? memorize/read EVERYTHING & ull b ok.-8 group assignments? break them up with ur group and memorize everything!-Power Point Presentation? include a lot of animation,& then add some more.-Doesnt specify how he grades, at all, so its a guessing game.
So opinionated. I learned a lot, but I'm really glad I don't have to EVER encounter this professor again. Don;t bother visiting him during office hours for help, or grade check, he always says he's "busy" and gives you the go away look. Very unpleasant teacher, but the material is interesting if you study solemnly.
Well gotta say you have to read and write down everything he says because he does NOT post much on the board. And tends to go off subject a lot. But other than that I enjoyed the class & got a good grade. OH very IMPORTANT the quizzes he gives you are group ones,so make sure you guys read and do the study questions of each reading.
I really like this professor. He's really intelligent but I definitely agree that his class is not easy. It's not horribly difficult either though. If you put in an effort, you'll do well. If you're a good student and don't mind putting in the work, you'll do fine.
Great class, good teacher. It's not an easy class but if you do the reading, pay attention to the lectures, and study (be a student), you'll be fine. Very interesting subject matter and discussions. Mr. Pallotti was very approachable and friendly, although most of what I felt "helpful" was discussion/studying with the students. I loved the class.
He loves what he teaches. Very funny and nice. Yes, this class is hard. You need to read and rememeber what you read in the text. You have a great memory than i recommend you take the class. Don't talk or text in class, he'll call you out. Group work with quizes, those are hard but then again choose good people to be in your group.
This was one of my favorite classes to take. He has a love for what he teaches and you will learn. Its not easy but not really hard either. Take notes, attend every class, study and the hard work will pay off. I might just take another class with him.
Honestly the worse class ever taken. The course is very difficult to understand and even if you did the material is not useful in life. Pallotti takes off points if you are late, absent, or your phone goes off. If you do not understand the material he wont go over it again so you're screwed. Homework is reviewed in class Book is needed. Worse Class!
He's always too busy to help you in business hours so don't bother asking for help. He is not clear in what he teaches in class so better have a book if you want to get a decent grade. He takes points off for everything so don't be late. Overall I did not enjoy his teachings highly recommend taking a different professor.
This class was super organized and amazingly paced. I took him for winter13 and i attended class everyday, he was very interesting when he lectured. Gives out 2 EC oppurtunities but is super strict, which honestly worked in our favor. If you follow his simple guidelines youll pass the class with flying colors! Loved him!
Really interesting teacher I will say. Cracks a lot of jokes and uses a lot of daily examples when he is explaining something difficult. Very high use of the textbook for the exercises. He does take points off if you are late or absent or if you're on your phone. What he grades you on is 4 tests of 50 questions and an essay and a group debate.
I dont know what everyone is whining about. This Professor is one of the best at Valley. He is not only dedicated, but is so very helpful. Yes, he is strict and expects you to be on time and not Facebook during class. Material is hard, but if you pay attention and do the work, their is no way you wont pass. He is very fair.
a very nice intelligent teacher, just participate in class activities always be on time to class and of course always read the material for each and every class and is very generous with extra credit points if your always on time to class.
He's probably the coolest teacher I've taken at LAVC. Very serious about philosophy, but he's also light hearted. Very approachable teacher. Maybe too approachable. It's hard to pull him aside since most students like him. Tough on attendance. What killed me were group quizzes. Unless you like taking quizzes with random students, it might be tough.
Great professor, learned alot. For this class you will need a good group for the quizes. Just read and readed all the material and study the quizes for the mid-term and final. You should be able to get an A. Also give alot of extra credit if you show up to class.
Symbolic Logic is a very difficult subject,& I think he does a great job with the way he deliver the info to class. This class isn't for everyone and CANNOT SLACK and expect to pass.Extremely hard class. Must attend class to understand the material, he is very helpful and answers questions. Loved being in this class cuz its challenging. BRAIN YOGA!
Horrible Proffesor! Never answers questions. Instead, he'll reply with "see me at the break". Makes you wait outside if you are a few seconds late. Pallotti does not teach. He reads an explanation from the book, gives a couple of vague examples, and expects you to comprehend this difficult material. I worked and got a C. Others were not so lucky.
Very negative and uptight. It is either his way or the high way. BE IN YOUR SEAT when he walks in or you are considered late. If you want an A take notes and be prepared to read from the book. He does not like to help,. If you do something he doesn't like YOU need to STEP OUTSIDE for one of his talks. He has a poor attitude and a bad vibe.
Logic ... NOT THE COURSE YOU THINK IT IS! That being said. Christopher Pallotti is an outstanding professor. He takes his time to make sure you know the subject matter. If you have any questions... he's available in his office and is head of the Philosophy department. You have an opportunity to get 25 points extra credit, for just attendance.
Pallotti is a great teacher overall. He will prepare you for amazing lectures and amazing reads. He is a little bit challenging, but you need a good set of lecture notes and you'll be fine. He gives a couple of extra credit opportunities, which can credit up to one grade boost. I recommend him overall although his tests/ group assignments were hard
Symbolic logic is not an easy class. Professor Pallotti, does a good job at explain a difficult subject, be prepared to work hard if you intend on taking his class. Everything people commented about Professor Pallotti is true, the good and the bad. Avoid this class if possible.
Professor Pallotti was awesome, a lot of fun, interesting, and his class, for me, was really easy. He offers a lot of extra credit, and keeps the class interesting with plenty of interesting debates!
"Why is there something rather than nothing?" Considering that it's an intro to philosophy, Professor gives thorough highlights of the big hitters re: philosophical thinkers ala Socrates, Nietzsche, Kant, King & et al. His lectures are comprised from 'his' notes; make sure you make an effort to read them on your own time. Semper Fi, Professor.
He's a very intelligent man. Knows the subject well. You'll need to find a strategy that works well for you and your group mates to take the reading quizzes, but he provides the questions for those before the actual test. Also, for the midterm and the final, study his lecture notes like the Bible.
This guy is real uptight and horrible at teaching. I had to look up the subjects we learned in class on YouTube only to find it easier explained in a 5min video. He sets unrealistic goals, takes away so many points, and just has anger issues. Save yourself and do not take!
Can be a tough class, but a decent grade is attainable if you're willing to work for it. PROFESSOR PALOTTI IS VERY SERIOUS ABOUT ATTENDANCE, AND OFFERS 25 POINTS IF YOU ARE ON TIME FOR EVERY CLASS. IT CAN RAISE YOUR SCORE ALMOST 1 GRADE JUST FOR SHOWING UP, WHICH KIND OF EVENS OUT FOR BEING A TOUGHER CLASS.
I took this professor's courses twice and I have to say that he was one of the most inspirational professors ive ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is VERY tough on you, but if you just listen to what he needs you to do, then you will be so proud of yourself at the end. He challenged me to expand my way of thinking. He comes off very mean at 1st.
This guy. The problem is that this is a philosophy class yet he doesn't encourage opposing opinions at all. His lectures are from power points where he just reads what's on the screen. No study guides, you have to read his media fire for his notes. Not many people do well. Treats first time philosophy students like philosophy majors. Skip him.
This class is quite hard. The tests are way more harder than the homework given or the class examples. The final is not cumulative; however, it is really though. This class is not for those who struggle to understand complicated concepts as it's based on logic. His lectures are not really intuitive nor really very good.
He gave me a C. I was pissed, because I'm trying to get my GPA up. Class was hard, but here's the catch; take his class, and it will make your future math classes so much easier. It gives you knowledge that will come back to you when you take other difficult classes and it will help you through. He's pretty nice, he graded my final right after!
Enjoyed this class. He is very passionate about philosophy, and has interesting lectures. He offers 25 points extra credit for being on time to every class. There are 3 exams which aren't hard if you do the readings and take notes. There's 1 term paper. Find a plan that works for your group to take the quizzes. Read the assigned readings throughly.
He is very interactive and is willing to hear what other students have to say, whether or not it agrees with his personal views. There isn't too much reading and he's very helpful and gives good lectures. Basic multiple choice and short answer tests. Don't be tardy a lot of times, he really doesn't like that. Other than that, he's great!
One of my favorite professors. Philosophy is not my field, but man this guy is passionate and very welcoming. Not enough professors are able to command respect as well as stay liked AND offer great feedback/lecture. Show up to lectures, ace the exams!
Alright so here is the scoop. He is a good teacher and will work with you(Note I put phil9, however I had him for two diff. classes), he really is a quality professor where you WILL learn. This is one of the hardest classes I've taken(logic) but thats not because he is a bad teacher no no he is very good, its just the material that is difficult.
You definitely have to study and do the homework. The homework is not graded but is a perfect representation of the test. He really hates it when students are late or leave early but gives extra credit for people with perfect attendance. Sporadically, other extra credit has been offered.
Overall great professor. I am not interested in the subject of Philosophy. But his class are really interactive and fun. I would definitely take him again.
This online class was a breeze. Only graded on a final paper, quizzes, and group discussions. Take this class online if you can because it is really easy. The quizzes are kind of hard, but he gives you a study guide that tells you what the questions will be like. Make sure you have a good group for the group discussions. You should get an A.
Professor Pallotti is a caring man. He wears his heart on his sleeve, whether you feel that is good or bad, his humanity may bleed into his lecture. First day of class we formed groups, exchanged phone numbers and talked. The class was social, and we had amazing chemistry. I made a lot of friends. Low stress. Took tests at Home. No Final Exam!
Took his online class. Group discussions about the reading. Get a good group! Just do the reading and you should do okay on the quiz. Worst part was the term paper but i just hate writing papers. Good professor!
Very easy online class, weekly group chats, MC quizzes on the readings which are not too hard, and one 5 page term paper which is also not that hard. Most important thing in this class is to form a good reliable group and agree on a time to meet for the weekly online group chats. If you can form a good reliable group, you will have no issues. A+
5-week online course. 8 multiple choice quizzes, 5-page final paper. The hardest part of the class: Online group chats. You need to organize your own group and submit transcripts for credit. Make sure you follow MLA and his transcript templates to the letter. An A seems easy if you put in some effort. Very responsive in e-mail.
The class is mainly Powerpoint slides with only the information that matters. He will talk beyond the slides and really get into the interesting stuff. He will ask the class a lot of questions and have people participate and it makes it really easy to remember the content that way in my opinion.
Walks in with a smile eager and passionate about philosophy and his students. Not gonna lie he has a monotone voice, but if you LISTEN to what he says.. you'll walk out the classroom laughing the rest of the day. Cares about the progress of his students & conveying the material as clearly as possible
Honestly, this was the best class I've ever taken. This professor is amazing and really knows how to teach. This class was so interesting and should be easy to pass if you know the material for the quizzes and put in the work.
BEST TEACHER ON THIS PLANET! Guaranteed you wil pass just do your work and look pretty.
Great professor. Was super calm and didn't provide extra stress. I've never had to study much as a student, but this class definitely requires you to. Overall, was very non problematic.
Amazing professor. Attendance is very important, but if you go the material is easy to understand. His lectures are interesting and he is a very cool guy. Take his logic class!
Honestly worst class ever ! This class is not easy at all. Tests are way more harder than lectures!
Never ever take this professor for any of your courses... youll fail for sure
Class isn't too difficult. As long as you do all your assignments and show up to class, you'll get at least a B. Sometimes lectures are a little dry, but you can tell that he's very passionate about philosophy. Tests are heavily based off of his PowerPoint slides, and it's a little difficult to get a perfect score on his assignments.
Takes himself too seriously, wants you to address him formally. I usually wouldn't care, but understand sometimes people just have to take silly classes to transfer. He drops your lowest quiz even if it will drop your overall grade. He doesn't offer extra credit, don't ask. Doesn't care, but expects you to. I'm sure there is a better prof at LAVC
The moment he enters the class, theres always a smile on his face. He is enthusiastic and very attentive towards all his students. His lectures may be heavy but after all of it, you really start to reflect on your surroundings. His classes were indeed helpful and discussed real world issues and events.
I took his online class and the syllabus is very organized with a clear outline of what you do every week (readings, group chats, and quizzes). Readings were a little lengthy so make sure to stay on top of them. Get a good group who can communicate well and be persistent with weekly group chats!! Overall pretty straightforward class.
Excellent, fair professor. You must do the assignments, like every class, so just do your best if your out of time, sick, ertc. Professor provides explanatory PP slides, notes, and if you have a question he answers within 24 hours. He gives great feedback and grades fairly.
The structure of assignments has a huge gap in points. Halfway through the semester & weve done 4 quizzes & 1 test 140 total. This is tough for students because this ridiculous points range and the low number of assignments jeopardizes a students grade without chance of recovering from a low test score. Not to mention the poor teaching skills.
Great professor, very motivated, you can tell he cares a lot about what he's teaching. Homework assignments and tests aren't very hard, but they do a good job at helping you learn the materials. Pretty low stress, fun class that teaches you a lot. Highly recommend this professor
Lectures have minimal value to the actual test and quizzes, every question has a 5th option of "E. None of the above." Seems to me this professor is paranoid of losing his job and justifies his worth to his superiors by showing weak test scores when he clearly tricks students in order that his superiors see he's doing an "OKAY" job as a teacher.
The average grade for this class is a C- from approx. 30 students. Pallotti accomplished this by not formulating any study guides for students and like previous comments say of his tests and quizzes showing very similar answers all around and then E: None Of These as an answer. Also, what he explains has minimal relativity to tests. No extra credit
I took his intro to philosophy class for the spring of 2019 and this Professor is legend. His lectures was always interesting, he does give alot of course readings but they are extremely interesting. He does take attendance, he is funny, also. His class honestly blew my mind, definitely recommend, taking his logic into reason class!
Power points have little significance to the lectures I took this teacher for Spring 2019 and the comment below is not accurate at all. I like philosophy as a subject but this teacher is just incompetent and unorganized. No study guides or test reviews not to mention he didn't upload readings that were necessary for assignments in a timely manner.
Pallotti is one of my favorite professors at LAVC. His lectures are clear-cut and informative. He really listens to his students and always gives feedback. He offers extra credit for participation and offers other chances to get extra points as well. 10 simple reading assignments/quizzes, two exams (online), and one 5-page paper. Highly recommend.
The best class I've ever taken! I don't understand the negative feedbacks. This man is amazing! Every lecture and class discussion is still stuck in my head. I even consider looking further into philosophy. If you do the readings, and show up you will pass easily.
I took pallotti for intro to philosophy and his logic into reason. Got a B on intro and an A on his logic class. Pallotti made philosophy so amazing! Because of his lectures, I am minoring in philosophy. His materials are really straight forward. I highly recommend!
his exams are super hard and time limited. there are group chats due every week. if you get in a good group with group-mates you will be fine.
Great professor! Make sure to take notes and be engaged in the lectures. If you review the power points you will pass. I highly recommend taking him
I took his honor class, and he's a good teacher. His class consisted of quizzes, discussion posts, a final multiple test, and 2 honor 5-page papers. Honestly, if you listen to his zoom presentations, read the PowerPoint and read the reading ( or at least look over it), it's an easy A. For the paper, he's not the toughest grader.
Professor Palotti was wonderful to have as one of my first teachers going to college, and I always felt I could contribute. He does appreciate if you show your face in class (on zoom). He loves to talk but students tend to make him going on a tangent (I love it but others don't). I found him to be wonderful and gave extra credit. Great Professor!
Great professor! He gives a good amount of work and can tell when the effort is put in. Just read and answer questions to show that you read the material provided. Video lectures are provided and are extremely useful. Easy A if the effort is put in.
Probably my favorite professor during my time in college. Very helpful and Will give amazing feedback.
Professor Pallotti makes you work for your grade, but not unfairly. There will be a significant amount of work throughout the semester, including papers and group chats. Firm but fair, worth your time if you can handle it.
Decent lecturer albeit long-winded and can be rather boring. Beware disagreeing with him; I made it clear I didn't agree with him in certain situations (thought it was an open and honest conversation) and began to target me for the rest of the semester.
His lectures were very long and boring, but the assignments were not bad. I only got a B because I would have trouble paying attention an sometimes get lost because i wouldn't come to class. As long as you pay attention participate and ask questions you can get an A.
