He always sounded bored. His tests were harder than what he let on. There are practice tests on Wiley (although they didn't help much). I never bought the book; his ppts are taken straight off Wiley. Go to class for the notes or the tests may prove to be more difficult. 4 tests AND a final. If he does take attendance; its for a quiz grade.

As this will probably be everyone's first accounting course, it is very challenging. Professor Proschko is a very knowledgeable and approachable prof. He's actually a pretty chill guy and is always willing to help. Buy the book. Tests are hard but very fair. Allows you to "correct" missed exam ?'s and will answer any question asked. Recommend!

Financial Accounting will be hard with whoever you take it with but I suggest Proschko. He is clear and cares about the students. Exam are tough but all homework is online and are easy 100's. He gives test reviews and will give you points back on your tests if you go into his office hours to meet with him. If he knows you care, he will help you out

The class is tough. I took him and struggled, but visiting him in office & really helped me to understand. You have to buy the online book bc all the homework is done through that system. The homework is time consuming, but he drops 3 and you have the chance to do each 2x and check answers -easy 100's. Tests are hard but you can earn credit back.

Christopher Proschko was an overall good teacher. I didn't do particularly well in this class simply because accounting is just extremely confusing and very difficult to pick up on. I had his class for MWF 50 minutes at a time. I felt like there was too much stuff covered all at once. If you have him, be expected to study a lot.

Hands down one of my favorite professors. He made having a friday class more bearable. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS if you need help, i went a lot & it saved me. You have to complete learnsmart & hw for each chapter. It isn't that bad, just takes time. STUDY a few days ahead for his exams. his powerpoint notes help the most. TAKE HIM!! Don't skip class.

Proschko is a great professor. Accounting can be hard but he puts a way that is completely understandable. If you have to take this class especially if you are not an accounting major take him! He will put it in a perspective that will be pretty simple to get. You do have chapter quizzes through Connect, if you listen in class it'll be a breeze!

Reading the chapters, taking extensive notes in class, and doing all the extra practice problems will help you get the grade you want it this class. By nature, the class is difficult but he is willing to help you with any material you don't understand. I would suggest going in to his office hours as much as you can.

All homework/assignments are done online and he does do random attendance checks. The only thing that sucked was that he didn't give out extra credit but other than that the class was good.

Im so glad I took Proschko for this class. He cares about us and gave us a huge curve on a test when the class average was low. He is very responsive to emails and always open to helping you out. Most of the information comes from class, so skipping more than 2 or 3 times is going to penalize you, which sucks because it is a Friday class.

Great professor with great personality and humor in lecture. If you do all the home works and practice you can definetly pass the 3 Tests and opt out the final. Not doing half the homework hurt my grade and reflected on my tests grades. Passed with a C and honestly was graded fairly, with good work ethic you can get an A easily.

Truly an absolute gold mine if you can manage to get into his class. It's amazing how this guy can make a fairly difficult curriculum and make it seem so easy. The only thing I would say is that he uses TopHat and doesn't tell you when the in-class quizzes will be, but it is very easy to want to go to his lectures they are entertaining and fun.

He uses TopHat and some power point slides are only available if you go to class. He also uses McGraw Hill, its time consuming so dont wait till the last minute to do the HW or Projects, there is a HW and lesson on McGraw due pretty much every week. Little to no extra credit is available and he normally has a review day the class before a test

I took Proschko for Survey of Income Tax during summer I in 2020 - face to face went online. It had a very heavy workload, but that's sort of expected for a summer class at that level. He is extremely organized and I didn't have to read the book unless I didn't understand. I took good notes and passed with an A.

He is very sweet and very caring. Gives plenty attention to students individually. Tests were very straightforward. Quite a bit of homework, but was very easy. Definitely recommend!

He's a charismatic person and his lectures are better than most, but he goes too slow for me to maintain interest, especially over zoom. The homework (McGraw Hill) is long and unnecessary, but a department requirement, not his. I would take him for a higher level ACC class.

This was just a difficult class plus exams count for most of your grade so if you did not do so good it would really drop your grade. He is a good professor but the material is just hard plus he is kinda strict so do what you want with this information.

Income Tax is a hard class regardless, but Dr. Proschko is knowledgeable, FUNNY, passionate at teaching, and does what he can to help you succeed. You WILL struggle to understand some concepts--GO and see him. He explains it very well. He is flexible on who you team up with for the Tax Return Project and even gives hints. He offered a couple extra credit opportunities and replaced our worst exam grade with the final exam if it was better. He's a great professor. Take him if you can.

Prof. Proschko is a really good guy, really wants us to learn, 13 smartbook assignments, 13 connect HW (these can get hard) 2 accounting cycle projects (full overview of multiple chapter materials condensed into a single problem) 3 exams (25-30 questions) final (67 questions, comprehensive) funny guy, will answer questions, tells jokes, take him.

Took Proschko for Tax Research (ACC 5372). This is the best class to take in the summer. 8 written assignments, 4 quizzes (open book), 2 presentations, and 1 group project. He is an easy grader and provides great feedback. Would definitely recommend for tax research. He is great!

Proschko is definitely one of the best business professors here. Yes the tests are worth most of your overall grade but they are not difficult. There is one project worth 6% of your grade but it is a very easy A. My class was a MWF so I did hate having a Friday class but it is completely worth it to take him for this class.

Teaches in a very digestible way. Homework is typically due at 8am, so don't be fooled when Canvas says "nothing due tonight". Very funny and personable, I recommend going to his office hours as much as you need, because he will help in any way needed. Pacing of lectures can be kind of slow sometimes but that's better than too fast.

I dont plan on pursuing tax within my career, but dr. proschko is such a great professor i couldnt pass up having him again. And i do not regret it! Take him! he is a great professor and a great person and a great resource if ever needed.

This professor made a tough accounting class easy. His lectures covered everything for the exams, and he really tries his best to make himself a person, not just a professor, which helps keep your attention. He provided ample resources. He simplified complex concepts well. If you pay attention and review, you'll succeed! Highly recommend.

I haven't taken Dr. Proschko for accounting, but I would if given the chance. I worked under him as a volunteer, and his knowledge and teaching speak for themselves. He is an outstanding professor and an even better person. Anyone who learns from him will receive a quality education.
