Prof. Terry explained ideas very well. Always went over test anwers. Very,very smart guy(could give Spock a run for his money). If you have to take Pre-Cal take C.Terry.

Dr. Terry is a math nut. he lives for it so he of course can help you do anything. hes got a dry sense of humor, but get some calculator games and pay attention every now and then and you will do well

I never opened the book once and I got a perfect score in that class. if you're just coming out of high school and are pretty good at math, he's a good guy to take. You'll understand it, and it won't be hard. Get a TI-89 and learn how to use it. it helps.

He tries to make it easy. If you don't understand him ask someone else in the class. He is very leniant on tardies. If you like cats his inituals or CAT.

He's is a really nice guy. He works hard to explain the concepts as clearly as possible. He also doesn't make you feel stupid if you ask a question. Homework is optional- but it really helps to practice for the test. HE also gives partical credit!

Great guy, awesome teacher, answers questions and just a really good teacher. He even went over my final with me and told me where i made mistakes when i asked him.

not that bad. knows his stuff but has trouble explaining it to the class. if i didn't take calc in high school, i would've been lost! you can always go to his office for assistance, and his tests aren't bad. just do the homework (which isn't a lot) and pay attention. allows you to ask any questions.

Dr. Terry is very fair! Do the homework every now and then and you will be fine. I've had him for 2 different class, and I'm taking his class again. I would highly recommend him! Wants you to learn and be interested in what he is teaching. A little boring. He is always there to help if you don't understand. You can tell he loves teaching.

Very nice guy, very helpful, tells you what to study for tests (four tests, cumulative final). Is thorough with lessons and always willing to review things you need help with. Can be annoying with his "must follow the rules" attitude but overall good professor. I'd take him again for another class.

Even though I got a B, I think I came out more clueless than when I started the class. This wasn't his fault! I'm just terrible at meaningless math.. will bend over backwards to help you understand. Gives good notes on board. I'd take him again in a heartbeat!

Good teacher but do expect your grade throughout the class to drop a whole letter grade after the exam (Dr. terry will even mention this)

i would take him if you just need precal and dont want to go on.. im terrible at math and absolutely hate but he made it better. i just wanted to get by with this math so i dont really care about understanding it. i got 2 b's and 2 c's on tests. gives lots of partial credit if you just attempt problems w/ close answers. very nice guy!

Dr. Terry is a great guy. If you come to class and put forth the effort it is an easy A. I hated Algebra, but enjoyed Statistics. Dr. Terry is there for you if you need help. He grades very easily and gives take home quizzes to help you understand the material. I would recommend Dr. Terry to anyone who wants to actually learn.

This is my 2nd time taking Terry (First for pre-Cal)...as long as you attend class and do the homework there's no problem.

Dr. Terry is one of the most helpful prof's I've ever sat under. I had a hard time in this course because I am not an engineering or math major, but he took the time to help me understand, even though this was just to fulfill a core requirement.

i SUCK at math but he really wants you to understand how to do things. takes a lot of time explaining "why" things are the way they are". Prob the biggest nerd i have ever met and refers to a calculator as a machine. He has a dry sense of humor but knows what hes doing and explains things many diff ways so you can understand! DEF TAKE HIM!

Dr. Terry was a great teacher that truly cares about his students understanding the work he gives. He goes into a lot of broad/generalized ideas about what he teaches, and doesn't give very many in class examples of the topics he teaches. This made it difficult for me, Nevertheless I got a B with little effort so I was happy. He gives study guides.

His quizzes are take home..the test review he gives out is the same format the test is in. VERY easy except he teaches really fast but overall take him!

LOVED HIM!!1 his tests are exactly like his quizzes and practice tests write verything down that he writes on th eboard and attend class and review the notes and the take home quizzes you'll do great! Probably one of the easiest A's ive ever made he doesnt try any tricky things on tests

Quite simply, AMAZING! Great professor. When one student asked Dr. Terry if he ever got tired of looking at numbers he said, "No." So you know that he is passionate about his job. Gives pertial credit on problems that you simply attempt. I strongly recommend him, for any math!

WOW! Outstanding lectures & clarity. Gives many examples & very clear about what you need to know. writes everything on the board & talks fast. You hand will hurt from taking notes. Test match exactly with the review. I would take him for any and all my math classes! Attendance not mandatory but if you want to pass don't skip unless you are dying!

Dr Terry is an excellent professor. He talks fast so you better be quick with the pen. Homework, & test were representive of his lectures. I never opened my text book. All the test material is covered in lecture. Write everything he writes on the board and that is your text book. Go to class, take notes, ask questions and you will be fine.

I love Dr. Terry. Explains everything and will give a proof for everything. Will take time to answer questions as thoroughly as possible. Great sense of humor. Tries to help out the class as much as possible if everyone is weak in some area. Take notes to learn the concepts--his explanations are more clear concise than the book.

I am so horrible with math, but I am going into the final with an A. The textbook is a waste of money besided having extra problems to work. I would take him again!

Dr. Terry is a very nice guy and likes to teach. He is helpful with questions you may ask and does not make you feel inferior for asking questions. He gave us take home quizzes once a week which weren't the easiest things in the world for sure but his tests were pretty easy just covering the basic concept of each lesson.

Dr. Terry is AWESOME! He gives quizzes usually every week but they are (for the most part) take home and he grades them on effort and basic understanding instead of the right answer. He is extremely helpful and really nice!! Math is NOT my subject and I have an A in the class.

He is a great professor. Very helpful in class and very clear. He makes sure you understand the concept and leaves a bunch of room for questions. He gives us weekly quizzes to take home for the weekend. Pretty easy. Then for the test he gives you a review sheet and everything on that sheet will be on the test. I hated math but I loved Dr. Terry. He loves his job and it shows, everyday. He kind of reminds me of Ben Folds;he's funny which helped to keep the class interested. Do your homework and ask questions and you'll succeed.

I took Dr. Terry for College Algebra and Statistics. He is a very easy teacher and a very helpful teacher. He gives quizzes every week, which you print off of his web page and bring into class. He is often available for help after class.

Dr. Terry was my favorite professor during my first semester! He loves to work until times up, and does multiple examples of things to ensure your understanding! His weekly take-home quizzes are a good booster for grades, and understanding! I definitely suggest taking Dr. Terry's class for any of your maths!

Dr. Terry is one of the best professors. He understands you have life going on and he does whatever he can to help. His grading is very fair and if you attempt a problem he will give you some kind of credit.

Dr. Terry is an outstanding professor. He is one of the best professors I have ever had by far at AU. His lectures are structured so come prepared to take notes. He does not require much besides homework and assignments on web assign. He cares for his students and returns exams within a reasonable time frame. Overall, highly recommend.

I don't think I could've succeeded in this course with any other professor. Terry is really kind and wants us to do well! He allowed for calculator help and a cheat sheet on the exam. I am not a stats person and he made it a little easier for me. I really appreciated having him for this course. I would definitely recommend him.

Good teacher. A lot of web based support material for homework but it keeps you on track. Fair grader. Gives partial credit whenever he can. Review sheets focus preparation. Allows you to bring one sheet of paper with anything on it for exams. Could have given more exams. Only had 3, including the final, so the exams covered a lot.

As someone who isn't proficient in math, I got lucky with this professor. While he speaks fast and his handwriting is terrible, he is always open to questions. He also allows you to bring a piece of paper with whatever you want written on it to every exam, and gives a lot of partial credit. He cares, and does his best to help you pass. Take him!

Extremely cordial individual. Solid lecturer whose tests reflected pretty much exactly what the homework was. Fair grader who like most math professors at this level gives partial credit. Not the most difficult teacher I've had, but not a cakewalk.

I took Dr. Terry's Precalculus class in Summer 2018 and the lectures were 5 days a week. His lectures were structured so be prepared to take notes. There were quizzes, in-class exams, and a cumulative in-person final exam. I missed the final exam and he was understanding, so I took it in his office at a later date. Overall, I recommend Dr. Terry.

He is really funny and nice. He does get behind sometimes from talking too long about a concept, but if he does he doesn't put the stuff we didn't go over on the exam. He is a really good grader, and believes in freedom so he always tries to give you the most points possible!

Professor Terry is THE math professor you want. His lectures are well-organized and provide a supple amount of useful information without feeling crammed or bloated. He takes time out of lectures to answer questions and expand upon tough subjects. He provides helpful practice problems/tests that ensure understanding. He's also just a kind person.

LISTEN TO THE LECTURES AND YOULL DO FINE, you're allowed a whole sheet of paper for tests, and he counts your 10 highest questions (so 10 out of 11, you can completely mess up one, AND he offers so much partial credit). If you're looking for an in-person stat class, he is the BEST option.

Dr. Terry has to be my favorite professor at AU. STATS was the easiest math class ive ever taken. Assignments were super easy, lectures were simple, just attend the class. Super laid back and easy to listen to.
