Professor Vito is a well-respected professor that is very knowledgeable in his field. I found him to be a very dynamic speaker and gets you really interested in the lecture. His lectures are straightforward and he makes it clear what will be on the test. It's impossible to fail. If you need this class, I highly recommended everyone to take him.

A great, clear and thoroughly entertaining professor. Emphasis on clear, straightforward instruction. The book work takes a few hours per chapter but the subject is interesting and the atmosphere of the class very relaxed. I learned a lot (quite a lot considering the wide range of macro and micro topics) and had a decent time in every class.

Had a good time, not too hard grade wise, we only had a few homework assignments. This was the best class that I've taken, it even got me to change my major to sociology. Prof Vito makes the lectures interesting and relevant to his students. Easy and fun class. If you do *ALL* of your homework, you can still get an A in the class despite getting B's on your tests. Laid back teacher and cracks a joke here and there. He was amazing and hilarious! I didnt really do well on his exams because Im really bad at test taking (and because I didnt really study lol). Out of the 5 exams I probably got an F, B,B,C,C in that order and still got an A overall! Just make sure you do all the work (easy As) and attend all classes because he does gives extra credit!

He teaches from experience and will not let you down. His lectures will not let you down. listen to what he says because he'll throw some of that into your tests. Read all the assigned reading and do the responses and you are sure to pass.

My only dislike was the awkward wording of test questions, you MUST study to pass these exams. Professor Vito is extremely caring when it comes to his students. Due to returning back to work in person, I fell behind and had an F in the class. The professor went above and beyond after I emailed him my concerns and he created a map that allowed me to pass the class with an A! You do have to put time into the class but its fair work.

Even though he accepts late work with no penalty, I wouldn't chance it. You have lots of reading assignments and papers due every week. I kept up, otherwise I would've been a mess by finals.

I really enjoyed Professor Vito's class. He is very understanding and cares for his students. His lectures and assignments are fairly easy and interesting. I never got bored of this class. Professor Vito definitely goes beyond for his students. Always leaves feedback on work and lets you submit late work. Take him for Sociology 101 and 110. Do it!!

Professor Vito's style of teaching is amazing and his rapport with student's is awesome, this allows for a fun and successful learning environment. There's opportunities for extra credit and tests are based off lectures and readings and are straight forward.

Lectures were not boring and even fun sometimes. Lots of group work in class and Professor has a lot of energy and is very nice. Has some cool stories sometimes too.

Homework is not hard. straightforward and very helpful with the assignments. He wants all his students to succeed. Amazing teacher also very understanding. He makes class fun and has wonderful helpful lectures that helps you learn. I took him for SOCOLOGY 101 in person and a different SOCOLOGY online.

This class was easy, and actually fun to learn in. All around he was a great professor and actually engages with his students and group conversations to get everyone's perspectives. He always made class fun and what he says will be on the test, is on the test so just pay attention to his lectures and you should be fine.

Amazing professor. He is super helpful to the class and always answers questions. I like that he is always open to taking everyone's opinions even if some disagree. Tests are super easy.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Vito is one of my favorite teachers at SWC. He cares a lot about his students and although his classes are lecture-based, he makes them interesting based on his own experiences. He has group work during class which helps get to know your classmates and overall shows that he cares about his job. Take this course!

Professor Vito is amazing, you can tell he really enjoys what he does. His course is very engaging and there's a lot of interactive work that's actually enjoyable. As long as you pay attention to lectures, this class will be a breeze. He also provides you with all the texts needed for the course so no need to purchase a textbook! Funny guy too!

By far Professor Vito has been one of the greatest Professors I have had. The work within his class was very manageable, as well as very interesting. A textbook was not needed, because most of the material was provided in the modules. If you have the chance to take any of his courses, do it he is great!

Professor Vito, gave extra credit, I did have the opportunity to meet him, he is also on campus and I was able to meet for a one-on-one. He is very knowledgeable about Sociology if that is a major you are considering. He is passionate about giving his students the ability to express themselves through poetry, art, YouTube videos memes, etc.

BEST PROFESSOR2 EVER!! I did not get bored once in his classes, explained everything pretty well, homework was not hard at all, class was fun and engaging, I would 100% recommend it, I took SOC110 for my GE's and I want to take SOC101 bc he is that great!! If you have the opportunity, take his classes, you won't regret it.

Took Vito during the winter session. Very manageable workload, engaging presentations, and fun discussions! Very good at giving feedback, and does his best to create connections with students despite being asynchronous. Accepted late work until the end of the course, and gives one extra credit opportunity.

Such an amazing professor. Such an easy class. You have to participate a bit, there are activities you have to do with a group you choose starting the class. As for assignments, there's only reflections (really easy) and exams, then the final paper/project. He's funny, caring, and sweet. Also accommodating if you talk to him about your situation!

Professor Vito is such a great professor, I've never had a professor that was so caring and understanding. His course was very straight forward and attainable. He's a great person and professor and wants you to succeed, I got a 101% in the class, and school isn't so easy for me so just take that into consideration.

I recently completed my first semester of college and was apprehensive about taking online classes. Professor Vito was an exceptional teacher who provided every student with the opportunity to earn an A. The assignments were straightforward, and I found them to be manageable. I would definitely consider taking another class with him in the future.

You can tell that he genuinely loves teaching and wants people to learn about the world. He cares and respects every one of his students and it shows. Lots of group work. Lectures are relatable. You write like a total of 7 papers throughout the course. If you just show up to class and complete assignments you will pass.

Usually, classes that are described as easy strike me as a little boring, but Prof. Vito managed to make this class easy and accessible, while still being incredibly insightful and interesting. I learned so much! Also, I took the summer course and got sick, which I thought would set me back so much, but Prof. V was so understanding and helpful.

One of my top 5 favorite professors at this school! He is so awesome and caring. He makes this topic and class fun and interesting. Take his class! You wont regret it.

Honestly, easy A. He's very nice and understandable if you miss out on an assignment. Most of the assignments are very simple and to the point! exams consist of open note writing at least over 200 words per response (depending on how many questions). go take him!! :)

I am terrible at school, but this is impossible to fail. I took 2 of his courses, and I wish I could take more. I wish he could teach all my classes. Questions on exams are all in the lectures, he'll even emphasize on some that'll come up on the test. He's very funny and sweet, if you don't take his in person class you are definitely missing out.

Easy class, with a lot of group projects and discussions but not a lot of work at all. Most of the classes were discussions, I really recommend it it's very interesting.

His lecture slides are incredibly informative and make you think a lot. He's also flexible with deadlines so if something comes up and you can't submit by a deadline just let him know and you can submit anytime after. Overall, he's a great professor who knows the field very well, it nearly convinced me to major in sociology.

It's very easy to get an A in this class, not because there is no homework, but because he will tell you exactly what you need to do to pass. If you don't pass this class, it's literally on you alone. He's a super lenient grader and has clear criteria for an A & accepts late work. He's very amenable and wants you to succeed; ask for what you need!

He gives us a very easy and manageable workload, but there is a lot of group activities such as a group presentation. He also accepts late work in case you miss anything. Professor V is an engaging lecturer who makes sociology come alive. His slides are super informative, and he's flexible with deadlines. Unstuck study was a lifesaver for exam prep - highly recommend taking this class!

Vito gives amazing lectures every day that motivate you to ask questions and learn more about sociology. You're graded based on group work, reflection papers, and exams, all of which have a clear and fair grading criteria. Simply put, you exit the classroom with a newfound understanding of the world. super nice and chill

The best professor at southwestern, he's lecture are always fun and interesting, he exams are very simple and are based on everything you learn in class, he's extremely easy to talk to and offers help if needed, and his canvas is very organized which made it easy to access what you needed to know for each exam. 1000/10 recommend.

This class is super easy and he is a very lenient professor and allows you to turn in your homework late and still receive full credit. There is no way of not passing this class without an A unless you really not turning in assignments. This professor really cares about his students.

EXCELLENT teacher, loved the class, gives good amount of time to finish assignments, around 3 extra credit assignments throughout the semester, help out a lot and he has cool power point presentations, completely recommend!

I took him as an online class, and although I didn't meet him, he was an amazing professor. Homework was very easy; gives exams, but it is all writing. I wish I got to take him again; he gives good feedback on all assignments and is very understanding if anything happens. Take him, you won't regret it, you'll learn because he makes it interesting!

It is a really interesting class, and he makes it funny. Cool guy. You need to participate with your classmates in all classes, but it is not that hard. 5 exams, 1 essay final, or you can do other things related to the course. Easy assigments through the semester

I thought the class was really easy just notes (lets you know whats in the test) 1-2 pg reflection on the notes, and easy test. (lets you reschedule test)

Prof Vito is the best very understanding you will never think of dropping his class very accommodating and very organized. He makes sure that his students are good and BEST professor I had for GEs. I had to go through my right-hand therapy because of tendonitis and he was very understanding.

An absolutely amazing professor! I took Professor Vito for the Summer 2025 semester and I loved it. He is kind and accessible outside of class, and I love the way the course was ran. It is honestly so easy to pass with an A. He is such a great professor and if I had the chance to have him again, I would. Highly recommend!

Prof. Vito was amazing! A very genuine guy who truly cares about sociology. Only took it to fulfill my ged's but it ended up being one of the best and most interesting classes I've taken.
