He was an awesome professor. Hist is not my best subject but he made it interesting and his exams are essay so as long as your taking notes you'll do fine.

This prof is soooo hot, you won't care if you hate the lectures, (which by the way you won't b/c he is good at that too)!!!

Very easy, makes history fun, which I never thought I would say. It is very important to take notes and ask questions when you don't understand something. Test are extremely easy. Don't even bother buying the text book you don't need it. He did makes up read two books by the end of the term... really short though!

This professor is great .Highly reccomend him.The test are easy if you take good notes.He is such a fair grader.He teaches with enthusiasm makeing you actually want to come to class.I think I love history now.Best history teacher apsu has to offer.You dont need the book at all ,so dont buy it.His lectures are all you need for the test.Take Him.

He is very animated and enthusastic, and he knows his stuff. Tests count for a everything, but they aren't bad. I only used notes and did great on the tests. Probably my favorite teacher this semester.

took his 2010 in the summer, taking 2020 in the spring. He is really down to earth. If there is a part of history he felt was just wrong he is sure to let you know how he felt (not in a rude way). He is funny.

Had him for two classes. He is great. Really holds your attention and makes the subject interesting. Take good notes, study, and it's an easy A.

The best professor I have ever had. His exams are long, but terribly easy if you pay attention and take notes. Don't waste money on the text book. For both 2010 and 2020 I didn't open it once. Can't say enough good things, so be sure to take a class with Dr. F!!!

I would vote for him if he ran for president. He was one of the best teachers I've ever had. His tests are hard at first, but once I figured out what they were like, they were no problem. He is an awesome teacher. It's impossible not to pay attention to him.

This was an AWESOME class..It was by far my fav class of the semester and there was never a dull moment. He really cares about the students and wants you to learn. He offers additional help if u need it and makes history fun. If u can take him for history...TAKE HIM

Wow! Great teacher. He's very intense, which made me laugh a lot, but really, he's wonderful. He presents history as an interesting story and I couldn't help but listen and get into it. Take him! You'll love his class

He is a realist when it comes to history and tells it how it it is in his option. Very good to bring up discussion and get a interesting answer. If there is no answer he will say he dose not know rather then BS the subject. His test are done in Bluebook in essay form. I was worried at first but after was happy doing these essays rather standard tes

Dr. Frenztos is wonderful. You can tell he is passionate not only about the class but the subject as well. He makes everything easy to understand. I didn't like history until I took him, and I will be taking him again. His tests are hard if you don't pay attention. You don't even have to study if you pay attention in class.

Very good professor. He makes history interesting, probably the best teacher I have had. You need to go to class to get the notes otherwise you won't do well. You have to read one book. But if you go to class and pay attenion you will do well. I highly recommend.

He is a great professor! All you have to do is go to class, pay attention to his lecture and take good notes. His tests are just short answer and essay! As long as you study for the 3 tests/grades he has you will pass! If you are not good at remembering things and writing into a essay dont take this class! But he is very fun and interesting!

I took Prof. Frentzos for both 2010 and 2020. For the one person who said they failed the tests, obviously you didnt study. He grades soley on the essay style, and he likes to see many of the vocab incorporated into each essay. That shows that you payed attentioned and attempted to remember some of the key historical terms. He is a storyteller!

Best history teacher I have EVER had. hated history before his class. took him for 2010 and 2020. teaches hist. in a story style rather then just boring points and dates. take detailed notes and study them well. lectures are interesting and he is willing to work with you if you have to miss a test. straight forward teacher. study and you'll do fine

I had him for both 2010 and 2020. I made an A in each class. Very enthusiastic and easy to understand. Only 3 tests a semester. Each test is very straight forward and easy to ace.

I abs. loved dr. frentzos. he's the reason i'm now a history major. i had him from 2010 and taking him again for 2020. very interesting in lecture and so long as you take notes and study them you will do fine on notes. would highly recommend him for anyone who needs to take a history class.

He is very clear on every detail and if you have any questions, he is always glad to answer. He does not use the textbook but mainly his notes. Tests are essays and he gives you a variety of topics to choose from and it's really easy even if you skimmed through your notes. He's very lenient on grades I was set to get a B but he gave me an A :)

Dr. Frentzos is awesome! He is hilarious and he makes even the most boring parts of history interesting. I took him for 2010 and now I am taking him for 2020. He doesn't require attendance but if you don't come you probably won't do well on the tests. He is a great teacher and I look forward to going to class every day.

I loved Professor Frenztos. I hated to miss class because every lecture was enjoyable. He's highly entertaining & very laid back. He keeps you intrigued & is extremely knowledgable about the subject. I'd recommend attending class if you want to do well, but he doesn't take role. Another plus, is he's a SMOKIN HOTT Italian. I plan to take him again!

Dr. Frentzos is very helpful and friendly. If you're not into history the class sessions aren't that interesting but I think he makes it as interesting as it can possibly be. If you take good notes you'll have no problem on the exams. No papers to write for this class. I recommend it.

This is the most funniest craziest teacher anyone could EVER have. Like this is like the only class I know of that is a lecture class that everybody stays awake. Like the way he teach is interesting and most of the time entertaining. I would tell anyone to take his class before another. You'll be learning history and looking at a hot teacher.LOL

I think history is super boring, but this class was exactly the opposite!!! His lectures are hilarious... and they are so interesting, that you could probably just remember the information for the tests! One of the good history teachers. essay tests though... only downfall, and you have to read 2 books. but still worth it!

TAKE FRENTZOS he is the coolest teacher and he explains EVERYTHING clearly. I do not use the book all you need to do is attend class and take notes and study those notes and you will pass the exams. He is so helpful and his lessons are super clear. He explains what he wants on the exams. Take him you wont regret it

GREAT TEACHER, i recommend him to anybody. Take notes and your good. Straight forward test. Only one paper. Easy to fall asleep in class because he talks the whole time, but he keeps in interesting so you cant fall asleep. TAKE

TAKE HIS CLASS! He is an amazing speaker& really makes the information interesting and relevant. I don't like history normally but he has definitely succeeded in engaging me in each& every class. Attendance is important to make the necessary connections. All written/essay tests and only 4 grades total. Not hard to pass, wants to help you succeed!

Dr. Frentzos is a great teacher. All his tests are essays but if you pay attention and take good notes in class you will be fine. He is also a super helpful professor. Anytime I emailed him with a question, he always got back with me very quickly. He is just a really great professor.

I took his class online over the Summer. There are weekly discussions and quizzes. One paper. Reading is mandatory, 3 chapters a week. They are long, but you can usually you can get by with reading just the chapter the discussion is about (thoroughly) and skimming the other two. He grades very quickly and there are chances for bonus points.

Great class. Pay attention in lectures and you'll do great. No need to even buy the textbook; he never even refers to it or asks you to read it. He lectures are insanely entertaining. I call him Hothead, because he gets so heated about some things and cusses like a sailor. Seriously take him. Not to mention, he's easy on the eyes.

Best history professor EVER. I scheduled my semester around taking him. Book not needed, attend lectures because tests are based on that. Study the review sheet by actually writing out a sample essay and you will be fine. 3 essay tests. 1 book write up. 1 other short assignment. Opportunities for Extra credit. He is a nice teacher, you just have to be sure you pay attention to his lectures for the test. The test is NOT multiple choice, it is all short answer worth 100 points.

Dr. Frentzos' Vietnam class is outstanding. We covered not just the war but the political atmosphere and the greater Cold War picture. He is an excellent professor who encourages an open forum in his classroom and prizes student involvement over formatted lecturing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Dr. Frentzos was a really good teacher. His lectures are funny because he really gets into them. There are only three tests in this class that have an essay question and four terms that need to be answered in paragraphs. The only other assignment is a primary analysis which if you do it's fairly easy. He gives one extra credit opportunity.

Hands down, the best history teacher I've ever had. The lectures are long and you have to take good notes, but he's the only history teacher I've ever had that makes history interesting. Tests are kinda tough but if you take good notes, you'll be fine. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you miss a day, you're going to miss a lot of notes.

There are many opportunities for extra credit, attendance is crucial in passing and the textbook is not necessary as you are only tested on what is covered in class (Dr. Frentzos does not use visual aids). He's an amazing teacher. His lectures are very straight forward and gives enough detail to still portray the story. He only gave one homework assignment, 2 tests then the exam but also gave plenty of extra credit opportunities.

So glad I took him for hist 2020. You can tell he loves what he teaches. He is truly great at being able to explain the material like a story that makes it easier to remember for students. If you aren't used to essay style test then your first test will be hard. You don't have many test and so you want to make sure you do good on all of them. He is hilarious and an amazing teacher !

Classes feel like they take FOREVER. So much info to go over in such a short amount of time. He's hilarious though, and willing to help in any way he can. The tests are hard, have to study or you will not pass. This class is mandatory, and as hard as it is, he's a good professor to take it with.

Tests are essay style and are a bit difficult if you aren't used to that style of test, I wasn't so I struggled a bit. There are only a few tests, so make them count! Definitely recommend. Historically (pun intended), I've fallen asleep in history classes, but this class was different. He makes it interesting. Essays tests, so show up and take notes. He's a real person, and he treats his students like real people, too. However, be warned, lots of profanity.

Frentzos is great! you only have 3 tests but they are essay questions and a primary source analysis. He lets you turn in extra credit which can raise your grade a whole letter. I had him for American history 1 and 2.

Dr. Frentzos is the best of the best. Extremely passionate about his subject, and it shows through his untamed lectures. Don't skip class or you'll miss vital info for exams. His exams are essay based. You will write about three vocab words, and then pick one essay topic from three options to write about. Sincere and works with students well. Love!

He's so funny but if you don't write down everything he says and study it, you won't do well on his tests. He does give good feedback when he grades though so you always know what you did wrong and what you can improve on. Write everything, but highlight/underline/bold when he says, "This is significant because--" That is your answer for the test!

Dr. Frentzos is one of the greatest professors at Austin Peay State University! He tells History as it is and is extremely humorous with his lectures. However, his exams are all essay form. But if you study and take notes and you will do fine! He might even raise your grade up if he sees that you are working very hard!

Dr. Frentzos is great! Knowledgeable and very funny. Tests are all based on 100 key words each, you just have to get those down. Pro tip, use flashcards. We only had to do one semi-paper assignment and it was an easy A if you put in the effort.

I loved this class!! I had a hard time at first receiving a D by the midterm but through hard work and communication I was able to bring my grade up to an A. Frentzos is always willing to help along with his TA but you have to go to him you can not expect him to reach out to you. The lectures are long but he makes class fun!

Professor Frentzos is a tough grader, but makes his lectures easy to follow. All tests are in essay form, never multiple choice, and are heavily based on his lecture. As long as you show up, actually pay attention, and study your notes, it should be okay. He is very accessible, and will provide help whenever you need it. I would take him again.

I really enjoyed the class and the professor. Despite the corona challenges with the switch to online, Dr. Frentzos was understanding and reasonable while still being able to learn things in the process with the online discussions. His class is definitely lecture heavy and you should definitely prepare to take lots of notes in a way that helps you.

Best professor at APSU. He tells history like what it is, a story. Because of this, the class is super interesting. Essay-tests are not too bad, name-drop key historical figures from his lectures & pick up on his pattern for picking exam topics & you'll get really really good grades. I don't like his political rants, but he's funny & circles back.

Dr. Frentzos was an amazing professor to have! He is very kind and understanding when you get behind or off track. His discussion posts and quizzes were super easy to do and the discussion boards actually got pretty interesting, since he requires you respond to other peoples. I can't recommend him enough!

Dr. Frentzos has been by far one of my favorite professors. He makes history interesting and explains to you not only the what but the why behind events. You do not use the book much because all of the exams are based on the lectures but be sure you are in class and take good notes! If you do not pay attention in class you will not pass.

Class was very easy, if you took decent notes and looked them over prior to exams. Exams were easy, grading was clear. He "assigned" a few books, but I never read or bought any of them. They were never referenced in class nor on any test material. He is a great orator, having lots of knowledge of the Cold War. Was a treat to listen to.

I have never liked a history class until this one. I felt like I actually learned and retained things about history, and felt interested in learning more about it. I loved the way he taught history in a story mode, rather than pushing material down your throat. Highly recommend!

You don't need to buy the textbook as long as you go to class, he tells you everything you need to know. Show up to class and take good notes and you'll pass his tests. The tests are the only grade for the whole semester and he covers quite a bit of material before each test. Frentzos loves history, it easier to follow his story time lectures.

Dr. Frentzos was easygoing, and was very consistent with his assignments and expectations. Weekly quizzes and weekly discussion posts, along with a weekly chapter reading. Mark the discussions as read manually if you take online, as he grades you on if you read other posts, and D2L is buggy and will not register them as read if you don't.

I took Dr. Frentzos online for Modern US History. The class was not difficult, and it was well structured and organized. He details exactly what he expects from you. Quizzes every week and discussion posts every two weeks. The textbook was actually interesting to read. I wish I got to take him in person, he seemed awesome.

So the class for me consisted of one assignment and three tests. The assignment was long but relatively easy took me about 2 1/2 to finish. The only difficulty I endured with the class was that he talked quickly, and everything he says sounds important. He is an excellent professor that shows his ambition through his work.

Amazing lectures and is super funny. His TA would grade our papers harder than he would though. He was very kind and would help you during OH if you needed it. This is not a class you can cheat in, you have to study ALOT. You never know what will be on the exam.

if you're taking history pick this guy!!! but be aware that if you miss class, you will have to get notes from someone else. there are no powerpoints. he speaks off the dome!! he will have your attention even if you hate history. our only grades were 3 tests, and one paper.

This was the best History class I have ever taken. As a freshman I was very worried to take some of the harder classes like English and History but I had a great experience. I am taking the next part of his class next seamster because of how good of a teacher he is. Lecture heavy but not many assignments, prepares you so well for each test.

great professor. took him again for my 2nd history credit, im gonna miss this class now that my hist core is over. lectures are heavy, but he presents it all in a way that gets ur attention. there r only 3 exams for each unit, (no comprehensive exam) and an essay. best way to pass is just by knowing the terms.

I love Dr. Frentzos's lectures. He does not post the notes, so you HAVE to attend every class and take detailed notes to get the material. He gives three tests and one primary source analysis. The tests are all closed-note essay tests, so you have to study. He gives you the prompts beforehand, so if you write them out before then you'll be great!

Frentzos makes even the driest topics engaging. Attend lectures, take notes, and you'll ace the exams. Unstuck ai was great for test prep too.

Prof Frentzos was a very easy and reachable if you needed him. will give feedback if wanted. Class is all discussion posts and quizzes. Use the key terms in your discussion posts and make sure to respond to two classmates and you will get full credit. Has one paper due at the end of class but it is a pretty easy research paper as long as you try.
