I love her!!! One of the best english teachers i have ever had. Plus she is beautiful. I had a hard time concentrating cause i was too busy stairing at her. One of the only teachers that I actually still talk to on a daily basis, still after i graduated. Great teacher!!! Take her!!!

One of the best English classes I have taken. Great teaching style! Very easy to talk with and follow during class. Allows plenty of time for projects and assignments. Not to mention young and very good looking!

Ms. Kinnion is an awesome teacher! She's very laid back and her assignments aren't horribly difficult. Give EFFORT, she will work with you. She's fair when grading papers- she's not totally anal about little mistakes. Besides- she's young, smart, funny, sexy, and has a great personality! Class was SO fun! I'd take her class again

Before I had to drop this class becuse of the prof. I had at North.Camp.Idid not want to get C.Prof.Kinnion is great techer. She is smart and knows what she is talking about.I went to ILC with my papers becuse I wanted to do my best. I still can not believe I got A in ENG. I really enjoyed her class. She makes you feel very comfortable in herclass

She does not require a lot from you. Very little homework, and she is slow on grading it. Class is easy, she'll just talk about nothing in particular. Overall she's an easy teacher and very nice (most of the time).

It's true there's not much homework, just papers. She does most of the reading in class and explains it for you. The hard part is she grades papers like a nazi. I don't think many people get A's. Somebody said she was an easy teacher. Sure class IS easy. You just show up, listen, and draft papers. See if she's easy when you get your score back!

This teacher is funny. She obviously loves teaching this class b/c she's really excited and smiles alot. There's not much writing but you read all the time and take quizzes almost every day. Tests are kinda hard.

Ms. Kinnion is a very good teacher. She likes to interact with the students, but always makes sure that the class stays on track. Her class is an easy A, but you should have your work checked at the ILC before turning it in. I definitely recommend!

Ms. Kinnion was the best teacher I've ever had. She was always on time, always prepared, she knew what she was talking about and she was able to teach in a very clear and concise manner. We'd laugh and joke around sometimes and tell funny stories, sometimes she'd bring candy for us to snack on and overall it was the best class I've ever taken!

Ms. Kinnion is an incredible teacher, always prepared, knows what she's talking about, and makes learning fun. She jokes around but still gets down to business. She's a very strict grade on papers, but she gives you opportunities to cushion your grade with lots of reading quizzes - SO READ. Incredibly helpful and always had a smile on her face.

No room for mistakes, so you have to make an A on every assignment pretty much. Midterm is not fun, doesn't seem fair. However, she's so sweet--she just expects students to know MLA and basic grammar, as they should.

Ms. Kinnion was the greatest english professor at Wake Tech. She gave plenty of time for papers and always let you write about what interested you. She was extremely easy to talk too and was concerned with how her students did. Overall, I HIGHLY reccomend her. TOUGH grader but do your work and you'll be okay! HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!!!

A very tough grader, especially hard on misspelled words but overall a very helpful and understanding instructor. It was my pleasure to be placed in her class. Her bark is worse than her bite!

Her class was fun it had been awile since i had an Eng. class so it took time for the grammer rules to come back. But she's a great teacher fun ,approchable, and knows her stuff! I took the class during a 5 week summer session, wrote a paper every week and would do it again. I would recommend her to anyone!

Miss Kinnion is a very enjoyable teacher. The subject matter may not be my favorite, but she had us read enjoyable material, she is fair with her grades, I learned alot. I would definitly(sp) recomend her.

Ms. Kinnion is attractive, but whoever called her a 'hoe' is obviously either a jealous chick lol or a guy who's failing the class. She's much better than some teachers I've had, and class isn't boring like I expected. It's too bad some ppl can't appreciate that.

You mainly do essays in her class and a couple group projects. She grades strictly on the essays, which is to be expected since it is grammar. (No tests, only had one quiz)

Really Hott! And a really good teacher. She is a lot of fun and keeps the class interesting. The mid-term is a little hard but other than that it's a fairly easy class.

She's very accepting, has great class conversations and you work at your own pace within her deadlines. If you like working on your own, and occasionally in a group setting. Ms. Kinnion's 114 class is great. As long as you have great grammar, look at the examples and rubrics, and ask her any questions you have; you should do well.

Very easy to have conversations with and very easy to get along with. Very good understanding among those in the DSS pop. What I thought of her when I saw her in the first place is wait a minute? is she a teacher? lol. I thought she was like 20 when shes 34. Also, she knows very well of knowledge in her field. Christy was one of the best teachers I've ever had. She is fair and impartial. Her assignments make you learn (which is the point) and she herself is a nice, mellow person. Also, she is an attractive young lady. Looks aside, she is a wonderful teacher and I would recommend her to anyone. I still talk her up despite transferring to UNC Charlotte!

Not only is Christy a beautiful, intelligent and well-spoken professor... she is also fun, inviting and engaging. Any pupil would do well under her guidance.

First of alll she is by far the best dressed woman on campus. Gotta love those legs, and the high heels are a nice touch too! If the class discussion doesn't keep your interest. Then your probably missing out. She develops an uncanny bond between the author and student, which takes an ordiarily drab subject and creates interest.

Ms. Kinnion was a phenomenal teacher! She is very relaxed, however she is also a firm but fair grader! If you don't put forth the work it will reflect in your grades. At the same time if you try hard and need some help she is more than willing to help you during her office hours. She is funny and easy to get along with. She is a sophisticated woman who certainly knows what she's talking about, if you don't like her it must be because you did crappy on a project and blame her for your mistakes!

Took her hybrid class - she's an excellent teacher as long as you do your work and stay on track. Don't piss her off or you'll regret it, lol. She can be tough as nails or easy as pie - it's up to you.

Lets just say that times in her class were great and times in her office were awesome. She is the most layed back teacher you will ever meet. Still talk to her on some even after graduating. Best teacher you will ever take and the most fun you will ever have. Get on her good side and it will be so much fun.

Quizzes literally were true/false multiple choice and STRAIGHT out of the book. This is CRITICAL thinking! There was certainly NO critical thinking involved. Hybrid course - attended 7 classes on campus and learned NOTHING. Tough paper grader in spite of reiterating that this was entry level with no pre-reqs.

Great Teacher at the college level. She makes it fun for people who actually try. She is a genuine educator who really cares about her students performance. Her class has a relaxed environment which makes it fun to learn, but do not mistake her kindness for weakness!

Ms. Kinnion is a dedicated & awesome instructor. I made a "C" in her class due to my own mistakes, but I earned that "C", and I'm really proud of that grade! I REALLY enjoyed her class because she challenged me. She also introduced me to a new passion for literature. She's also a very passionate instructor who wants her students to learn.

Ms. Kinnion is fair, honest, and very funny. She is very strict when it comes to grammar and punctuations. It is not a easy class by far. So actually try hard, do what she says, and you will pass the class. I will be taking her for every English class I have from here on out.

Mrs. K is a tough but fair professor. She is always crystal clear about her expectations on assignments and everything else. If you do as she says and follow instructions to the word, you will do well in her class. Don't do anything to upset her though. She has no problem throwing you under the bus and you will know for sure if you have upset her.

Miss Kinnion is a very serious teacher. She grades very specifically but is also meticulous about what she wants you to do so TAKE NOTES. there are 2 textbooks which you will write essays or take notes on. Also you have a certain # of journals due at the end of semester. around 4 Essays, a few quizzes and 1 Final essay.

Ms Kinnion is a really nice teacher. Her class was the only class I took on-campus this semester, and Im glad I did. It was straight forward and she was really good about explaining things. She helped out when asked and even if you get on her bad side one day she will return the next day like nothing happened. She won't hold the grudge.

Ms. K was an incredible teacher and a lot of fun my first semester at Wake Tech. The assignments were clear and concise, yet if any students had problems with them she was right there to help show the students how and what to do to make their learning experiences better and more informative for them. One of the best and worthwhile experience with online class. It was not as demanding, but it requires your attention to keep up with course materials. She does her time with REAL center, and this helped me a lot. Her requirement to do annotated bibliography helps to assess articles and throw away you don't need in the list.

She's fair. If she sees that you're trying, she will try to help you. She does not give extra credit. If you summit an assessment late, or don't summit it correctly she will take out points, which I believe is fair because her instructions are clear. If you don't understand something just make sure you email her a day before the due date.

Patient to an extent. Firm deadlines but she'll give an extension if you ask ahead of time. No extra credit for revision or ILC. Will look at drafts though.

Professor Kinnion was a great help during my first online semester. She makes time for her students and tries to be flexible for people, like myself, that can't always get to campus for office hours. She isn't easy, but she is fair. If you want to pass, do the work and do it well.

She's a good teacher. There's a lot variety in assignments in this class and I enjoyed that aspect. Very accessible and down to Earth teacher. Wasn't sure what to expect with the class but I enjoyed it a lot. I'd recommend it.

Prof Hanthorn (formerly known as Coach K lol) is never boring. To the one who said she gives too much personal info, it's in a way that helps you get to know her. Sounds like somebody isn't passing. Too bad for you b/c it's the most fun I've ever had in class. Show up (on time unless you wanna get the side eye) and do the work and you'll be fine.

Ms. Hanthorn is my favorite professor of all time. She's an absolute joy! She always has a funny story to tell and can keep you entertained for hours. She's also extremely kind and caring, though she hides it behind a wall of sassy wit. She's a good person, so long as you do your part. Forget 350 characters, I could write an essay on Ms. Hanthorn.

This class was not what I expected. I actually came out of this course with things that I will remember and use in the future. There are many papers to write, but they aren't that bad. Resumes, memos, cover letters, annotated bibliographies- thats what you should expect out of this course. Quizzes are "sometimes" weekly, but not hard at all.

This is my second time taking ENG 114, my last teacher was just impossible. So I wasn't loking forward to taking it again. I definitely feel like I learned a lot.

Mrs. Hanthorn was hands down my favorite teacher I have ever had. She made me not care that I had an 8 am on a Monday morning. I would take her over and over again if I could!

The English Composition class was very educational. I learned a lot of valuable information to use in the "real world". Use the free resources available at the college for help with your papers. Professor Hanthorn does gives feedback about your papers in a timely manner. I thought she was great to have in my online class.

Prof. Hanthorn is amazing! I loved attending her classes. Her lectures are great, and she has so many inspirational stories to motivate students to do their best. She is particular about MLA format, and I am glad that I worked on it in her class. It acted as a foundation and has made 112 a bit easier. She cares about her students' improvement.

Professor Hanthorn is funny, and gives lots of opportunity for you to pass. Pretty much just show up for class. (At least for ENG 114)

Mrs. Hanthorn is a very solid instructor. Even though I thought I was a good writer before taking her class, she has brought my writing to an even more professional level. I went into this class not expecting to learn much, but her feedback has made me aware of my over-punctuation and simple mistakes in sentence structure. I would recommend her.

I've taken two courses with Professor Hanthorn, and I think the people giving her a low rating just don't know how to read directions and follow them/used AI irresponsibly. Both courses I took with her 111 and 112 were so fun and very easy. You get to write about what you want, and she was also very responsive on teams and outlook—10/10 teacher! :)
