Peterson knows calculus very well. She is willing to help you to any degree but she is not very friendly. Her tests are very difficult, but if you study every day and know your material, it is not impossible to get a good grade.

This teacher knows her stuff. Her class is organized so she takes questions from the lesson before, and teaches the new material. She is also very pretty, so if your looking for a good math class, any math would be good with her. I highly recommend taking her.

Very organized, but hard teacher. She Knows her stuff and rairly makes mistakes. I had a 68 going into the final, aced it and got a B in the class! Even if you screw up, you can get a good grade. Allows calcs on some exams.

Peterson is possibly one of the best math teachers in this school, she shows up everyday, mostly on time, and is very clear in her explanation. She made trig easy. You've got to work in her class a little, but hey, it's not an "easy A" class anyways. She is hot as hell, so guys, take her, and she is very fair. Highly recommended.

She is a great teacher... Her tests are bit hard but if you do the homework which she doesnt collect, you shouldn't have a problem.. Pace should be fast while taking her test as they are very long.. But her explanation is very clear and very helpful if you ever need her help.. i strongly recommend her if you are not that great in Math..

Learned a lot, her instructions wer clear and to the point. Every question I ever had she made sure was fully and clearly answered so that I wouldn't have any trouble come the test or the quiz. Best math teach I've ever had

She is so nice and a very good teacher. Her tests are hard if you don't study and don't care. I studied a little bit before each test and recieved an A in the class. She is very fair, nice and helpful. She doesn't require everyday homework, but you have a 10 reading assigments that equal 1 test grade. I definitely reccomend her.

I have a very mixed impression of Mrs. Peterson. She teaches very clearly and I hardly ever feel lost, but she plays favorites a LOT with her students, sometimes being outright rude or simply ignoring their questions or comments. She needs an attitude adjustment.

Christy is a good teacher. Her notes are clear, but if you want the A you have to study. She gives suggested homework assignments, but you don't need to turn it in. There are 10 article assignments where you read and write a paragraph or so on it. It's easy points. If you need help she has office ours. I'd highly recommend her if you need a math.

I took her internet class in the summer semester. It was the easiest class I ever took in the summer. I was never so relaxed. Just read the book and do your thing on the internet. If you have any q she is very good in answering quickly. That was the best class I ever took

I took her general math class online and i would highly recommend her for somebody trying to take online classes. She is very helpful when you need it and responds quickly. There were no midterms or finals which was amazing. Work load was not very high and there were sample quizzes after each unit. Simple class if you do the work!

She is a really great teacher, I had to take 0482 as a refresher. She was really helpful on any question I had and explained things well. I took the hybrid class, so we met in class but all the work was done online which made it nice, you can do the work anywhere with Internet access. I would highly recommend taking her class

ONLINE FORMAT: Best online professor I've ever had. Made regular contact with me personally through e-mail, as well as with entire class through Blackboard. Always wanted to know if she could help. Responded quickly to e-mails and was very encouraging. 4 tests worth 15% each, 8 quizzes worth 25% total, about 30 homeworks worth 15% total.

She is so helpful and always checks up on you, answers any questions, and very nice. As long as you do all the work and understand everything you will do good. Take 1218 online with her.

Herself as a teacher is fantastic. ALWAYS responds to emails & makes time for you to come into her office hours & get as much help. The way she structured the class is very straight forward. You need to be self taught & very motivated in order to do well. About 30 hw at 15% 8 quizzes at 25% & 4 tests at 60%. 1st online class and easiest A as well.

One of the nicest teachers at COD. She's always willing to lend a hand. Most of the work and quizzes were done online at your own time and tests consisted of about 20 or less questions! She's really easy and such a sweetheart!!

I took the online class. This professor emails reminders to help keep students on schedule with homework, quizzes, & tests, offers assistance if needed, and responds to email promptly. Study is through Pearsons MyMathLab. A book is optional as the eBook is available with the online access code. 5 Unit tests are taken in the school testing center.

I'm not one for online courses, but Christy made my experience both painless and enjoyable. She will email her students a couple times a week asking if they have questions on the course, and is more than willing to answer any questions anyone would have. Super helpful and goes out of her way to make the class as painless as possible.

Probably the best experience I've ever had with an online course. She made a point to email each student and check on progress. She gives partial credit on tests so your test score is usually higher than what my math lab says. Very concerned about her students, overall a great experience! Easy A if you do the work!

I had extensive issues using MyMathLab that neither Professor Peterson nor MyMathLab tech support could figure out. She was extremely understanding & even extended necessary deadlines due to these issues. If you show her respect and attentiveness, she does the same for you. I also greatly appreciated the updateswords of support. Would take again!

This course is mostly self taught. She uses MyMathLab which is a very helpful site as long as you take advantage of all the resources. I strongly recommend taking notes during the reading, then completing the study plan for the section. Taking the mastery quizzes for the study plan is also necessary and you will have no problem getting an A.

Awesome professor-She makes Math very understandable. The best part about of her is that she is there for you and won't let you fail the class. (If you're not doing well it's required that you go see her for extra help, which is great in my opinion.)

So far she's been nice. She's been helpful with some things that have come up. She gives a lot of homework, and quizzes are very comprehensive. But as long as you are getting the material and passing quizzes, tests are just fine. She answers questions and checks in on students regularly.

I took her class for business math, which was also a computer based learning class. She was awesome. Explains what we are learning very well and always helps you if you're not understanding things. Very nice and very helpful. I have never liked math and have never been that great at it. But I actually got an A in this class. Very good teacher.

Literally the best professor I have ever had at COD. She gives great feedback, lots of written out examples, very understanding of your outside life and inability to make certain deadlines with giving you a chance of an extension on a due date. Professor Peterson is truly a hidden gem in College of Dupage. She will cover everything you need in class for both the homework and tests, and has quizes, group work, study guides, EX-credit and office hours to help guide students on their journey. HINT: do the MathLab homework, study guides, review your notes, and GO TO CLASS & OFFICE HOURS!

Precalculus is not an easy class but Professor Peterson does her best to make it that way. She was always willing to help and stay after class to assist students and during office hours. It is easy to fall behind if you don't attend class. FYI, My Math Lab was used more than the book, buy it if you need to catch up. Final is mandatory.

TAKE HER. This math teacher is a absolute goddess. She truly cares about how well her students do. She has great lectures and offers help during her office hours. Even offers a little extra credit. There's group work during class and she let's you know when the next quiz is. Will get an A if you put 100% effort into it. 10/10 would take again.

Professor Peterson is truly one of the BEST professors I have had a COD. Math 1431 is tough and you must put ALOT into it, but she will work with you. Pay attention in class and go to her office hours! She is very available to help you outside of class if you're lost. If you need 1431 take her! You will not regret it!

Took her online course and she was great when it comes to communication. Most of how you learn will be through MyMathLab, and I personally rarely used the textbook. Do the homeworks and really put effort into exam reviews because you'll see the same questions from there on the exam with different numbers. Hope to take her in person as well!

Professor Peterson is the best Professor at cod. Bc of the covid 19 thing our transition online was a little hard but she made it easy for us. 3 tests, Atleast 1 quiz a week and she drops one lowest quiz and replaces the lowest exam grade with final grade. I ended with a B because I messed up on the first exam. No EC. Overall great Professor

Dr. Peterson is an amazing teacher. I loved taking her class in the Spring 2020. It was tough because we transitioned to online 100% due to covid, but she was helpful, super charismatic. If she sees you doing the effort and work she helps you in every single way! I respect her so much, So glad I took her! Lots of homework but that's how you learn.

This class is very heavy on homework and you can expect yourself to spend hours on homework alone every week. However, there are example problems that are there if you need a guide to completing your work. While having the textbook is nice I have found that you can complete the class without it as long as you understand the example problems shown.

Took her VCM class and her notes were very detailed. She gives a lot of mini assignments that are between 5-15 points worth. There are 4 problem solving assignments and a total of 4 tests. The content isnt hard but you learn so much you don't know what to study for as she does not provide a study guide. Attednance is worth 25 pts of your grade!

Christy was awesome. Everything was on MyMathLab so it was pretty much self taught but she was very helpful with the questions that I had. She would check in periodically and check to see if I was understanding everything. I would definitely take her class again! Definitely cares about her students.

Professor Peterson is pretty awesome. The tests are a bit easier than the quizzes and homework so that's a plus. She also uses your scratch paper and grades it so you can earn extra points. One of my test grades went from a 57 to an 84 because of my scratch work! If you're good at managing your time, then you shouldn't have a hard time:)

0482 with Christy is not easy! You'll have to work 15 hours weekly to keep your grade up. She works with you if you reach out, so email her!! But if you're looking for an easy A, this is not it. Aleks hm due weekly, and every two weeks we had up to 120 hm equations due, a 60 problem review, chapter quiz, and unit exam. This was the 16 week course.

An extremely kind professor who will work with you if you need extensions. I had something come up and she changed the due dates for three of my assignments so I could still receive full credit. Make sure you use your scratch paper on the unit tests because that will boost your grade. She is awesome and gives lots of feedback and help.

This class wasn't the easiest if you aren't good at math. She did have meeting times but wasn't great at answering emails. Overall she is very generous with scratch work and always helps boost your grade. The exams are 60% of the grade however; there are good study plans in Pearson to help prepare you.

took her online course and it is VERY hw heavy. watching the videos (10-25mins ea) first & then doing the hw made it easy though. the 4 unit tests must be taken at testing center and she gives you lots of points back for showing your work. by far the easiest class and nicest grader. the hw, quiz, and test questions are all similar so easy to pass!

The class was virtual (VCM). I think she teaches very well, and she is a great person, but she teaches fast! She does not post lecture slides nor the notes she writes on the digital screen, so I was taking down notes as fast as I could (sometimes I screen-recorded too). Her tests are fair - very close to the examples she gave during lectures. :)

While I ended my grade with a C, Peterson was a great teacher. When I was struggling to keep up with the work in this online class she was really willing to meet in person and help me understand some of the work being done. She also gave me extra time to do overdue work and bring my grade up, but you do have to show her that you are trying!

Peterson is the best. She is great at communicating and really wants you to succeed. Precalc I is mildly difficult, but she gives points back for showing work and is always willing to help. Just a kind, caring professor.

TAKE THIS CLASS SO EASY! I took business mathematics and it was fully online, but she had videos for every chapter explaining everything you need to know and labeled very clearly. She would get back to me fast, I reached out to her for extensions and she gave me as much time as I needed. 4 tests are in person but hw and quizzes all on Pearson

An amazing professor who genuinely cares how you do in the class. Definitely take advantage of office hours if you're struggling, she is extremely understanding. As somebody who always struggles with math, she breaks topics down and does a very good job answering questions in class.

She is pretty decent in teaching. The main issue is really not her teaching but the amount of work and how fast the class goes. Sometimes she teaches very fast and makes mistakes but you just need to ask questions and stay after class. To do good in the class you need a strong understanding of the math leading up to this. LOTS of HW!! EASY grader

There might be a lot of homework but she gives plenty of time to complete it, but make sure you do the homework or else you will be in trouble for the quizzes and tests. If you're struggling with anything, she is ready to help if you visit her during her office hours. Honestly she was a great professor overall and I would take her class again.
