I had her for ENG 180 and 280. Never once did we ever have to stay for the whole class period in both classes. Very fair on grades and is always available for help if you need her. Highly reccomended.

Christy Wherley is one of the most considerate, understanding, and thoughtful professors I have ever met. Her class is fun and productive and she won't waste your time. If she is done with her lecture, she will let you go. I recommend her highly!

Christy is a very nice teacher. She explains things very well and is available after class if you have any other questions. She doesn't give out extra credit too often. Journals are due on wednesday, so if you don't like to work, don't take her. This class is not for the lazy at heart.

Truth be told about Wherely is that she is one of the easier teachers in the english department. She's down to Earth and is a reasonable grader as well. Negatives about her though include weekly homework (i.e. journal once a week) and she's stuck in the "gender communications" gear. Shes a cutie.

She's really nice. She can be a bit boring at times, but shes super easy. She never keeps u the whole class period. But she is definitly all about "gender communication." All ur papers are based around that. So if u like pickin ur own topic...then dont take her. but other than that, shes nice!

Christy rocked my socks off! She isn't about busy work...and come on...one journal a week?! That's nothing...her class is easy, and she makes it enjoyable. I tell ya what...if you don't take this class...you are totally missing out! And btw...it's Christy Wherley...not Wherely.

Christy prefers to be adressed by her first name. On a side note, she is also the cutest teacher I've seen here at Western. The classes are short and shes really cool about attendance. S he is obsessed with Gender Communication, but she makes it more interesting.

Christy was an amazing teacher who was helpful to all and treated everyone with respect. She was very easy to approach for help and when she helped you out things were a lot smoother. She cares a lot about her job and puts a great amount of enthusiasm in her work. I highly recommend her!

Despite what the other people say, her gap is cute on her. She is such a sweet lady. Pretty young, so she understands the stress. Just make sure you come to class and show a little effort and you'll pass. Workshopping is a requirement, so if you miss it you have to do it outside of class. Only idiots wouldn't do that. This class is pretty staright forward. Its not that hard you just have to do the work and youll be fine. The way she grades her papers is awsome!! so if your not a good paper writer take this class because she will help you through it!! take it from a person who sucks at writing papers

Extremely nice, very helpful. She will sit down and talk to you if you need someone to talk to. Very understanding of stress. With a little work, you can get an A. Just make sure to go to class and do the journals every week.

I loved this class! She's a great teacher. She's easy going and cares about her students. go to class! attendance might make or break your grade. Lots of papers, but if you stay on top of it, it's not bad at all.

Ms.Wherley is a very help instructor. She does workshoppin, which is design to help you with your papers. You need to go to class, but is worth going to her class. Interesting book is read.

Very kind and understanding teacher. Really relates to her students and hopes that they do well in the future. She takes her job seriously but really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. You have to work hard in her classes and stay on top of the work, but she is very understanding if you get behind.

I love Ms. Wherley! I walked out of this class with an A+ and it really didn't take too much effort. It's english - so of course you are going to have to write papers. She's extremely helpful and understanding and loves getting to know her students.

What can I say, She is amazing and very helpful. I will recommend her to anyone who needs to take eng 280 or 180. It was not a problem to get an A In the class but you had to put the effort to get the A. Before every paper is due she has a conference you go to and she looks over your paper to look over it before you turn it. Final is optional!

She is awesome. She truly cares about her students and will give you an extension on every paper as long as you contact her ahead of time. You can miss her class up to 5 or 6 times but it your sick she'll work with you. She is funny, loves talking about her "outside the classroom" life and grades easily. I would take her again in a second!

Wherley is by far one of the best english teachers i have had. The comment about her having favorites is far from correct. TAKE HER CLASS, EASY BUT LEARN A LOT!

All I can say is that I wish all teachers were like her. She genuinely cares about her students and appreciates every one of them. She knows her stuff and does a great job relating what we learn to life experiences to keep students interested. As long as you make an effort you will get a good grade. She is a great teacher. I have had many good english teachers and she is in my top two. She really cares. I wrote an ADHD paper and she told me i was "meant to write it" . She gives lots of positive feedback. You get out early most days and you only write three papers which you work on the entire semester. There is one book to read. Great class.

This is the best teacher I've had! She legitimately cares about how you do and your success not only in class but in life. I had Christy for ENG 280, and wish I would've taken 180 with her too. Obviously, the course is writing intensive, but she is kind and funny, and will get you to love the class. My group was horrible, and never did the peer reviews, but that only reflected poorly on them and didn't affect me, which was a pleasant surprise. Take her.

Best professor in campus. Took her for one semester and made class enjoyable and helped with what ever you need. Cares a lot of her students and is very understandable. She focuses on the material but also gives real world examples. The assignments are very easy and forward, she likes it when students participate but she will not force you to.
