Helpful instructer, not too demanding. His tests consist of 10 problems and doing small mistakes will cost you lots in the grade, so to achieve an A you will need to strive for perfection without even the slightest sign error, but his problems aren't hard

I had Chuck for Statistics. Got an A easily. He does not try to "trick" you on quizzes like some math instructors. Very up-front & easy to understand. He drops one quiz so not to worry if you do poorly on one.He lets you have a 6x8 cheat sheet for every test. Great personality. Highly recommend him. You'll do fine with Chuck!

Very nice, very clear, straight forward, and simple. I really appreciated that he taught the material and gave you problems on the test just like the ones in the book- no surprises. He does seem to get irritated by disruptions, but it's not a big deal if you just turn your phone off and take notes. I would reccommend him to anyone!

Horrible! Dont take unless you already have a strong math background. Lectures are useless, he just repeats the book. You have to show all work (if u dont points get taken off) and it has to be the way he would do the problem. Chuck has an interesting sense of humor, but get past that and he's a great math teacher. He knows how to explain the problems and truly understands the common pitfalls, and will help you avoid them. Even though homework isn't graded, please do it! You will need the extra practice for the quizzes and tests.

He is a very good instructor and the best math teacher Ive had so far. He gets kind of picky with how you show your work, but once you know what he looks for it becomes very easy. He doesnt grade homework, so your grade depends on all quizzes and tests. There is quiz or test every week alternating. It is fairly easy to get a great grade.

Took Prof. Jones for Math 91 and he was my first pick as an instructor for Math 92. Just as before show up, pay attention in class, and ask questions with any homework or the material he lectures about and you should be good. He's excellent and simplifying the material down on the first try so there shouldn't be too many questions. Straightforward.

Cute professor! I took his class last quarter, which was 141, and now i took Chuck's class again! He's my first choice. Easy A if you do the homework because all the quizzes and exams are in the homework. So my advice is just do the homework. and show your work.

He's nice. He goes over the material in a clear way. He tries to liven it up with a few jokes here and there even to a tough audience of unamused trig students. Manages to answer stupid questions without sounding condescending. You won't regret taking his class

I have taken Chuck's classes for like three quarters now. He's an amazing instructor! He tries to be funny, and his jokes are usually bad so they turn out to be funny! DO. THE. HOMEWORK. Not only is the quizzes and tests based off the home, if you keep all homework in one notebook and turn it in the day of the final he bumps up your grade.

Chuck Jones is truly deserving of the grade he gets on here. He really cares about students and wants to make sure that you understand the material. Hell never make you feel stupid for asking questions and constantly makes dad-like jokes. Its a great class to take if you struggle with math because of how well he teaches the material.

I've taken Chuck for every pre-calc math class except Algebra 2. He is by far my most preferred math professor. He'll put detailed notes about each lesson on the board for you to copy down, go over them, then spend the rest of the class going over every type of homework problem. No notes allowed on tests or quizzes. Great sense of humor!

There's 4 quizzes and 4 tests total that make up your grade, homework is optional but recommended. If you try you will succeed. Make sure to ask questions, he doesn't mind answering. Chuck has dad jokes for days, he even rocks them new balances with the jorts like an absolute boss. Just watch out for the anti-math gang and you'll be good.

He is a really good teacher. He has nothing online so it is hard to know your grade throughout the quarter. He gives homework every day but he assigns all of it at the beginning of the quarter so you know what it is ahead of time. He goes over homework questions if you ask and he encourages questions.

He had his office hours to a minimum and he was hard to reach, when I was able to reach him he would give brief responses. He assigns a bunch of homework every week but leaves the due date on the day of the exams, and the due date happens to be the time the exam is no longer available. I have had to turn to teachers on YouTube for help.

Absolutely wonderful teacher for those who need to understand why certain things matter. As a returning student, I can't recommend him highly enough. He keeps distracting conversations in the classroom quiet and has necessary equations for the days topics written on an adjacent board which is great for those who need a summary of what's going on.

Chucl was an amazing professor. He gave clear instructions and answered questions well as they arose. He had a board for all theory and definitions you needed to know and walked you through the homework problems for the night he was teaching. If you take notes and pay attention to the lecture, the class is super easy.

Chuck was an excellent professor. He was easygoing, and willing to answer any question without judgement or frustration. The class was very easy for me. IMPORTANT: He gives you a full review of the final, and a 1 page of notes to use on the test, front and back. I found this extremely helpful. I will be repeating this professor for math 141.

Absolutely great, he loves what he does and at times can be funny. The most important part of the class is doing the homework, ask questions if you ever have any and he will answer them. Homework is not required but highly recommend when our grade is based on quizzes, test, and the final.

Chuck was a fine professor, but not for a hybrid class. Chuck is a great in-person teacher, but he does not know how to teach a hybrid class. He does allow one-page front and back of notes on the test. But he can be tricky in the sense of putting something you didn't go over in class, on the homework and tests, even when he claims not to.

Mr. Jones was an amazing teacher. He clearly explained everything he was teaching. He made jokes that were pretty funny as well so that's a bonus. My personal experience with his grading was that he grades pretty leniently, if you mostly understand a subject and participate in class, you'll get a good grade. Take Mr. Jones if you can.
