GREAT professor, doesn't give out a bunch of busy work, tells you what you need to know for the test and makes it interesting too. Moren is the man.

Great Guy, all you do is take lots of notes from his powerpoint. He gave out the first test, I got 100% on it, be sure to study for the other 2 tests he doesn't give those to you. Got a B, but should have gotten an A if I showed up to class more often.

Great teacher, but be ready to study. You aren't going to do what you do for Joe Cleark's class and get away with it in turbine w/ Chuck.

Great teacher, knows his stuff. He has a lot of experience. Class is very straight forward; go to class, take notes, study, and get a good grade. Grade is based off tests and attendance. It's one of the most, if not the most, interesting class in AS.

Meets all day on Saturday for one day (1 credit). A unique class that is required for Aero Sci Degree (Airline Pilot AOC). Take it with Chuck, will really have fun and a great teacher too!

Mr. Moren made learning about turbine engines clear and interesting. I learned more in that course than any other course I have taken at ERAU in three years. If you have the opportunity to take his class....DO IT!

i was able to get a good basic understanding of turbine engines for moren class. overall the class was pretty interesting. i would recomend his class!

Prof Moren is a great teacher. He takes a tough subject and makes it easy. The only bad part was he didn't post his lectures online so instead of listening to him speak you spend the entire time writing. Kinda defeats the purpose of teaching. Other than that the class way good. He is the best pick!

I knew NOTHING about turbines before coming into Moren's class. His lectures were informative, easy to understand, interactive and FUN! How often can you say that you ENJOY going to a class? Also extremely helpful if you talk to him after class.

This was about the easiest class yet, plus it was interesting. His method of teaching is easy to follow and easy to understand. He gives you the first test and the others are word for word out of the notes. If you don't get an A or B, consider a different career!!

Professor Moren was awsome. He made the material very clear and I would take him again for any other class offered here at Riddle. If he offers extra credit, take the opportunity. One of the best profs at ERAU. Teaches you what you need to know and makes sure you understand it. I laughed so much in this class and learned tons. Go to his test reviews, and don't miss class! It's easy to get an A if you go to class and the reviews and ask questions.

Teaches right from slides. You won't need to buy the book if you take Moren. You'll earn an easy "A" in this class.

Excellent teacher. You will retain what he teachers you. Information on exams comes from slides, book is unecessary if you take notes. Slides are not posted online, you will need to attend class to get information. Exams are multiple choice. Knows his stuff and makes it entertaining and fun to attend class. Highly recommended.

Class is very interesting, he doesn't keep you longer than he has to, and he will tell you everything you need to know for your tests, great and fun professor!

No book required. Interesting involved class. Easy project. CRM requires group work so that you have to deal with - groups were randomly assigned so you can't team up with friends as was attempted. Easy grading.

Chuck Moren is a great teacher. His turbines class is a bit tricky because the grading is based on three tests only. No quizzes, no homework, nothing else. His first test is tough because there's an equation about fifteen feet long that you've got to memorize. Get it wrong and the best you can get is a 72, and a B for the class.

Only wish there were more than three grades for the class. No textbook, just his notes which is better than a textbook.

I had Moren for physiology and turbines. His classes were extremely straight forward and he made them pretty entertaining. Usually always let us out at least 10-15 minutes early. Tests are straight from powerpoint slides. MC tests that include "Bud-light" as answers haha. 311 grade is only based on three tests so you have little margin for error.

Moren is the man!! His tests are straight foward..no trick! Just pay attention and read the powerpoints and you'll pass! Go see him on his office hours and he'll help you out! Real cool guy!

This guy is the man. He has good stories and great teaching skills, unlike some professors. Pay attention in class and go over his powerpoints and you will get a guaranteed good grade.

One of the best profs ad Riddle. Makes class very entertaining and makes the information he is teaching you crystal clear. No text book, just his power point slides. The first part of the semester you get out 15-30 minutes early, and the second part of the semester, you will get a ton of days off. No class the last 2 weeks of the semester.

Besides the fact that Turbines is an good class, Moren made it an awesome class. This guy is pretty much THE MAN. Class is awesome, turbines are awesome, and it's an easy A if you study and use common sense. Great test reviews too.

Without a doubt my favorite teacher and class here at riddle. Made it lots of fun, you usually get out early, I wish all classes were run like this. Only 3 exams but they're pretty straightforward if you go to the test review.

Definitely a must have. He makes the class really easy and gives you a very comprehensive review for the test. If there is one way to describe his teaching and grading style it would be "fair." Everything is laid out in plain English. He has a warm personality that brings a comfortable vibe to the classroom. If you attend every class and keep your ears open, you will succeed.

This class was one of the classes that I most enjoyed until today in College. I always thought turbine engines would be a very interesting, however I thought it was going to be very difficult. Mr Moren made the hard class easier. I really recommend to take this class. AS311

Moren is one of the best Professors at ERAU. Very helpful, clear in his explanations and overall makes class extremely interesting. Moren is a great professor. Makes mechanical understanding easy, with simple explanations. Straightforward tests.

Professor Moren was a pretty good instructor. I had him for both AS 387 and AS 311 and in each class he was very easy to understand. The material he presented was very straight-foward and he gave hints as to what would be on the exam. The projects he assigned in CRM were fairly easy but they did require some effort and professionalism.

This is a very easy class. There is only 3 assignments that really determine your grade and they are 2 group projects at the end of the year and 1 group final exam that is take home.

He's an ok teacher. He's fairly easy, and you learn a decent amount, but he doesn't put any effort in, and his test questions are annoying. You cannot tell if he's trying to be tricky or just trying to be straightforward and failing. Overall he's ok, fairly easy A, just not great.

The class has 3 tests, no other grades are taken. Moren is a fantastic professor. If you' re confused about even the simplest topics, he will break it down and explain it phenomenally. I thought Turbines was going to be so confusing. But really, it was by far one of my favorite classes. I HIGHLY recommend him. I had an 89.3%, and he bumped to 90%!

Chuck Moren is a great professor. I had fallen behind on test two and he stayed in class with me until I had understood every topic. Class never drags on. You can't skip this class really but Moren wont make you even want to. Loves guns and willing to talk on end about them after class.

DRY but clear grading and tests are fairly straight forward. most classes you get out early. makes class as enjoyable as possible for a dull subject

He really makes complex turbine aircraft seem simple. He's super fair and even gives you a practice test that he calls a quiz before the first test. Expect to do well on the 1st test, but he makes the second test harder to even out the grades... sorta not cool. No homework though and he's hilarious and keeps class entertained.

Professor Moren is the most laid back professor I have ever had. You have 3 test and thats it. Just review the power points before each test and you will get an A. And remember... The Turbine turns the Compressor!

Professor Moren retired from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, after Spring 2017. I had him during then for Turbine Engines, and he knew SO much and explained it so clearly! He makes understanding the course feasible! We had three tests that were each 1/3 of our grade - nothing else. Overall, he is amazing! I miss him!
