Easy class! Just go to class and take notes and listen very well. Easy projects. Get a B easily. But you have to work for the A. I love her, she has the best sense of humor.

Easiest class *ever*. If you have a good grasp of common sense and basic health issues, you'll definitely get at least a B. Her attendance policy is really lax also.

I got a C because the damn tests were hard. It's a very helpful class in life, but I think there are easier teachers to take for this course.

She is a very attentive profesor..very helpful, and honest, easy if you go to class all the time..you just take notes! Overall a very good and fun profesor!

Very Good professor! She's a must for anyone taking a health science 101 class. She only gave us 2 small projects, a midterm, and then a final..very understanding, kind of humurous, and just overall interesting..

The class is very easy as long as you attend class and take notes. The test are also easy if you are knowledgable of the material. She is a funny professor and knowledgable of the subject. I attended class regularly, took notes, and didn't read the book, yet I got a "B".

She is a very fun professor. Very interesting class about the overall human body and the health of it. She made it easy to learn. Exams were multiple choice and somewhat easy. Really didn't need the book. I would definately would recommend her.

2 exams, a project and paper. The project is basically going to get your health checked. the paper is basically write about it with her guidelines. test are multiple choice about 50 q's. she's scary on the first day, but after her lectures and talking to her she's nice. I was 2 points from an A and she didnt give it to me. So got a B for the class.

Great teacher..you can tell she has a genuine interest for the subject...2 papers and a project make up the whole semester..never boring..a must take for health!

This professor is really nice. She really shows effort and considerations for her students. She goes out of her ways to find informations to help you out so you don't have to do it yourself. She is a very compassionate teacher and friendly. Class is easy if you take notes because the tests are based from class notes.

Easy class, no Homework, Two projects very easy and three tests. Do not buy the book it is a waste you don't have to read it instead read your notes because that's where the tests come from. Just buy the worksheets and if you know someone photo copy them. The tests can be tricky but it's an easy class, I got a B without studying much.

very interesting lectures... makes class fun with her daily jokes...don't buy the book, not necessary... just attend daily to take GOOD notes because that's what all her midterms and finals are on... don't miss any lectures and study for final and midterms... you should be fine... she's really easy!!

Easy class. I read the comments last semeser about the book not being needed..seroiulsy i never opened it once and you just dont need it unless these a subject unclear to you. Now i wish i would have not bought the book. Test are a little tricky. Lectures are intresting. half of the material is common sense and the other half u should memorize.

Great teacher! Easy and fun to talk to. Easy class, textbook not needed. Attendence is mandatory only because you need to take notes. But it's a fun and chill class so going isn't a drag.

DONT BUY THE BOOK IT ISNT NEEDED ONLY GET THE WORKSHEETS BECAUSE YOU WILL NEED THEM. GO TO CLASS BC YOU WILL NEED IT FOR THE TEST AND SHE IS A FUNNY LADY. TWO SMALL PROJECTS, REMEMBER TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS BC IF YOU DONT YOU WILL BE DOCKED POINTS.

ms. abbott was hilarious in your comments about life..you can tell that she really loves what she teaches and is very knowledgable. I learned a lot more than i expected or even wanted to..the last 3 weeks are the best...becus the subjects are so funny..! we watched movies a couple of times..and she brought lots of examples like the food comparison

This professor was absolutely one of the best professors I have ever had. I believe more professors like her should teach upper division courses. I know many juniors and seniors will appreciate her help, caring, and her great sense of humor.

Cindy Abbott is an awesome teacher! Fun, interesting topics, and things you'll remember the rest of your life. We discussed real world topics every day. Plus, I never left her class without a huge smile. She's the type of teacher who really cares to make a difference in her student's lives. I wish more teachers were like you Mrs. Abbott!

I loved going to her class! it was the highlight of my day. Her stories were so interesting and the classes was more for todays world with health. Very interesting and fun class!! Not super easy tests but basic.

The material is presented clearly and in an interesting manner. She adds personal anecdotes. She is a very smart and funny woman. Very admirable. You don't need to buy worksheets because she provides them online for free. Book isn't needed either. I would suggest taking this class whether you need extra units or not. Very useful info.

I took Cindy's Health 101 class in the fall '08. She is by far the best and most motivated teacher I have ever had! She extremely cares for each student and she has made a huge positive impression on me. CSUF is very lucky to have such a great teacher on their staff!! I wish there were more teachers like Cindy.

I took her for health sci 101. She is an awesome professor. She tells funny stories in class and relates them to the material that makes you grin at the end of her sentence. Awesome professor. Good gpa booster, looked forward to hearing her stories in class.

Best professor ever, this is the class that i loved coming to everyday. The topics are extremely interesting and the way she teaches will never get you bored (high energy) dont buy the book I got a B. Proff Abbot is an amazing woman who is so positive about life and its contagious. I wish there was more proff like her.

Class is extremely easy. Just read over the notes a few days before the exam and you'll be fine. Her exams are directly from the notes. There are two REALLY easy assignments and 3 VERY easy exams. An A is highly achievable in this class.

Great professor, had a lot of insight... and also managed to keep not so interesting topics fun to learn. She also referred me to loveforbartending.com and I was able to get a part-time job on the weekends to help pay my way through school.

I initially took this class just for the three units to graduate, but ended being a lot of fun. The topics were interesting and Prof. Abbott can be hilarious. Do not need to buy the textbook because all we do are worksheets and they can be found online. The worksheets and lecture are all she tests on. Highly recommended!

She is very passionate about what she teaches. Exremely nice too! STUDY EVERY BIT OF LECTURE NOTES. Write down all she says, because it will be on your tests. Make sure to get a good grade on the first test, because it is a foreshadow of your grade in the class. Take her, she's easy, but write down everything/and study :)

Cindy is so fun and upbeat and makes every class interesting and will for sure keep you engaged. there is no homework what so ever. we take notes everyday and there is a short project that literally takes an hour to do. overall, amazing teacher! take her for any class!

This teacher was a little nutty but really friendly and wanted to help. She doesn't take role and doesn't miss class. She doesn't round your grade so if you have a 89.75... you have a B. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK if you come to class and somewhat pay attention you are going to do well in her class.

Dr. Cindy Abbot is one of the best Health Science professors at CSUF. She genuinely cares about YOUR HEALTH. She is not there to just teach you, she is there to help you make the RIGHT decisions in life about YOUR health. EVERYONE SHOULD TAKE HER!

cindy is the best teacher i have ever had. she was very helpful and a little nutty but very very awesome and her husband is a "stud muffin" ;) the class is easy if you take notes but you can always ask her questions and she will help you pass.

Cindy is really funny and tells a bunch of stories. Her projects and homework were really easy. DON'T BUY THE BOOK. We never used it. Your notes are your study guide so listen all the time and write things down.

How to pass her class guide: Buy a tape-recorder, next slap that thing down the desk during her lectures, take nap, after her lectures take notes of everything she said since it will be in the exam. Final step, earn A. Informative class, I like.

Fair, opinionated, and weird in an innocent, goofy way. SHe cares about her students, not as much as the grade but with us bettering ourselves to be healthy and active. Believes in what she teaches. Keeps it interesting. If you take notes you'll do just fine. Exams are straight forward, but overwhelming with all that you are being tested on.
