I thought this teacher was very good. If the classroom took time to ask questions and prove that you are interested, she will like you and be willing to help out much more than you would imagine. Stay focused and it will be a breeze.

very very knowledgable and very interesting. always so organized and prepared for class. a big favorite. no problem at all as long as you listen in class.

All you have to do in this class, is do your homework (read the book and the power-point). If you memorize the terminology, you'll be just fine. There is nothing hard about this class. Only one thing that I didn't like was - the final group project. That is easy only if,you get into a nice group.

Mrs. Epperson's class was so interesting! She knows a great deal on what she talks about and her class was fun. Her tests are extremely easy if you study even just a little. I would reccommend her for sure.

Final assignment...10 page research paper w/ works cited. I turned in 5 pages, no work cited and got an 80%. She also has very easy extra credit assignments.

I took Cindy's Evil class and Sociology class and found her to be VERY helpful and SUPER nice! I still keep in contact with her and very people oriented!!! AWESOME JOB CINDY!!!! I hope to take more classes of hers!!!

I am about to graduate and Ms. Epperson has been my favorite teacher throughout college. I had her for my cornerstone and capstone. She assigns group projects and lets you grade yourself. There is a lot of work, but the material is interesting, so you want to do it. She has traveled around the world. If you do all the work it should be an easy A.

she is a good teacher, just isnt very fair. Her assignments are easy, and if you attend class all the time you get the points. Her tests are hard and very unfair. 5-8 chapers of pre and post tests 20questions each to study from for 2 tests one midterm and one final to many notes to study. NOT FAIR AT ALL. and she rewords the questions on test

Prof. Cindy Epperson is an amazing teacher. Very interesting- grabs the attention. Creates an encouraging atmosphere and good experience. She is helping us apply Sociology in everyday life.

Dr Epperson has definitely been one of my favorite teachers at Meramec! Even though she does assign alot of reading, she keeps her class extremely interesting & fun! I learned so much from her & am taking another course with her this upcoming semester.

This class is not for the lazy. She does expect a lot out of her students, but let's be honest it's college! I like that she challenges her students to actually think. Out of all my classes throughout college I learned the most from her. Quality education is important and something that you don't get very often. She's and outstanding professor!

Definitely an intense professor but very informative. She is also completely willing to help those who take the initiative to ask. Do not take her courses if you are looking for an easy A.

Dr. Epperson has high standards and expects students to act like college students. She knows her material and brings her research into the class sessions. Stay on top of the weekly work and you will be fine in class.

I took her online class and she was extremely helpful and would always respond to emails in a timely manner. She will do whatever she can to help you get a good grade and I will continue to take her classes!!! Love her!!!!!

Great teacher! If you don't have time to do a lot of homework then I wouldn't recommend taking her class but it isn't difficult. I took her class for sociology and for a capstone class and got B's in both. She is interesting and very passionate about what she teaches. I enjoyed her classes.

Dr. Epperson is an excellent professor, and she is the sort who will push you to do better. If you consider yourself a lazy student, I urge you to take her class because she will inspire you to raise your own expectations. If you have an opposite worldview, be prepared to know you stuff.

I took Dr. Epperson's capstone class--those may just involve more work in general. There was a lot to keep track of and there were a number of assignments due every week. She seems very strict at first but, as long as you communicate with her (email and in person) she's very helpful and actually a lot more lenient than she lets on.

I took her 12-week hybrid course and after the first week of her scaring us with 5 assignments over the syllabus and her expectations, she became very approachable and it turned into one somewhat complex assignment per week. You definitely learn your stuff. She's a great person, very friendly, and definitely one of my favorite teachers!

I took Intro to Sociology online and overall I thought the class was tough. I never felt I knew what to expect on the exams- no study guides either. Be prepared to do several assignments, especially at the beginning of the class. She's very passionate about what she teaches & pushes you to better yourself, which I liked! She's willing to help you!

There's homework almost every week, and it gets very in-depth. The tests and midterm are all online, though, which was nice, and during those weeks we didn't have any assignments to take home. Dr. Epperson was very nice and devoted her time to helping you when you asked for it. The only qualm was all of the group projects we had to endure.

Dr. Epperson cares about students beyond the course. She wants them to see how society impacts the individual. She comes to class prepared and expects the same of the students. Stay off your phone in class meetings. Lectures mixed with group discussions and activities.

Dr. Epperson was a great professor for SOC 101. I see a lot of comments that the homework was repetitive and tedious. But that's what makes everything stick. Her test questions follow really closely to what was on the homework, which makes it worth it. There is a lot of work, (like. a whole lot) but I would take her class again.

One of the best profs I've ever had. Really pushed me to be successful, and is a dedicated individual if you are a dedicated student.

There's a lot of work to do in this online class. Dr. Epperson is very organized and kind. Has all of the due dates on a calendar so you'll know when a test, discussion, or assignment is due. She gives reminders of upcoming things as well as motivating emails! Doing all of the work is worth it and is all used for on the test (its not busy work).

This course is not going to be easy but also dont assume that you cannot get it done. Her homework & discussion boards are intense but if you do the work it makes the tests SO easy. I took this course while pregnant, feeling like crap everyday & on top of 3 other courses. If you can't handle this, good luck getting your bachelors degree or higher!

Dr. Epperson makes Sociology interesting. The only downside is the amount of effort that has to be put into the out-of-class assignments. You'll spend at least an hour and a 1/2 on homework, and the final takes about 5 hours total to complete. In the end, it feels worth it compared to other classes. Although, I'm tired of the name Peter Berger.

I wouldn't take her class again only because of the amount of work and notes I put myself through to do well. She's a fantastic lady outside of the classroom. In class, she may come across as mean or strict, but after talking with her, I realized it's because she's stressed and has had bad students in the past

Doctor Epperson is tough in the first half of the semester. She seems to have the idea the best way to get a good performance out of her students is to scare it out of them. Don't let her scare you, but do follow her instructions. She is very punctual.

Dr. Epperson is the best! She makes her lectures extremely interesting and engaging. If you don't do the discussion boards and quizzes you will not pass. They are easy and not that time consuming, but if you don't do them you will fail the course. The quizzes are very simple and open-note since it was virtual. If you do everything well you'l pass.

Pros: - Extremely organized - Very consistent format - No big scary final - Friendly and encouraging if you reach out Cons: - Fairly impersonal unless you directly email her - Doesn't offer a lot of feedback - Harsh grader. Know you APA well. - I thought it was weird that a writing center appointment was REQUIRED as a big part of the paper's score

Great Professor!!

Epperson was a great professor. She is a harsh grader and some of her prompts are vague, but she does this to get a personalized response from the student. Epperson's teaching may come off harsh but she does it to train you for other classes. Epperson was always open to new ideas and enjoyed discussions with the class. She is tough but has a reason

I have never learned so much in a class. READ THE SYLLABUS. She is strict, but she has an extra credit opportunity at the end of class. You can not half-ass this class and do well. You have to learn the material. She is clear on what you need to learn. Honestly probably the best teacher I've ever had.
