Very hard class, but she is funny and helps get the class going.
Incredibly hard but the Prof is awesome. Oh yeah, did I say that it was hard?
Very Hard, studying is required. But she makes the course as fun as it can be.
Awesome, cool professor. Knows Anatomy like the back of her hand. However, if you're not prepared for her class you don't stand a chance in hell of passing.
Very hard class. Will kick your butt in SO many ways, but Cindy is AMAZING for a prof. She is very good at explaining the material and she knows her stuff...oh yeah, this class is HARD! I am an honors premed student who usually makes A's and I'm praying for a C in here! HARD!!!
An insanely hard class...but Cindy is awesome!!!
Just to let everyone know you must STUDY YOUR ASS off in order to good in this class. I wouldn't take any other hard classes while taking this course. I made a "B" in here but worked very hard for it. Cindy is a great professor who knows her anatomy. She is willing to help any student. Well good luck!
This class is very hard. I had to study everyday for at least two hours. So just be prepared to study your butt off for this class. On the other hand Cindy is one of the best teachers I have ever had at this school. She really knows her anatomy and can explain it to you really well. She is hilarious too!! She makes the class very interesting.
Cindi is amazing, she knows anatomy better than anyone and is extremely helpful. The class is so hard but she makes it tolerable, and she is super funny. If you go to class she will randomly give bonus when not many people are there so go a lot.Just be prepared to study
Cindy is wonderful. She is the only reason that I actually roll out of bed at seven thirty in the morning! This will-without a doubt- be your favorite class of the semester! Her exams are difficult but its only because of the material that must be covered. Go to class everyday and study regularly and you will be fine. As for lab..office hours are y
Cindy is the funniest teacher I have ever had. This class is very difficult, just because of the amount of material and the short amount of time you have to memorize it. BUT Cindy makes it worth while. She's just fabulous.
Dr. Gordon is awesome. She is so funny and makes class very interesting. My advice would be to take the class seriously, if you blow it off it will do the same to you. She doesn't curve so do well on your tests, or you'll be crying because of an 89.9999. Overall I LOVED this class, and I recommend her to anyone.
Fabulous, Cindy's just fabulous. Listen kittens, this class is hard and is going to make you cry, sweat and possibly even contemplate suicide, but is survivable! You have to study your little bum off for an A. Get a head start and you'll be fine, my snowflakes. :)
Cindy is an awesome professor, but the class is ridiculous hard! If it's not required for your major, RUN. And if it is.. good luck. ;)
Dr. Gordon was the BEST professor I've taken at OU hands down. She cares about her students and makes the lectures incredibly interesting. However, this class will take up most of your time. Be prepared to study a LOT and spend most of your time at AC tutoring and open labs! It is a stressful class!
This class is extremely difficult, but as she says, it's the "nature of the beast." Cindy is really helpful and approachable, and she wants everybody to do well. She made going to an 8:30AM class bearable because she is so funny. Her stories are awesome, and you can really tell that she loves her job.
The class was the most difficult class I have ever taken in my college life, but it is worth it and you can get through it. She's helpful and clear on EVERYTHING. The Connect quizzes really helped.
This was a hard class. If you don't study EVERY DAY and NIGHT you will not pass. Simple as that. Go to open lab every chance you get. Make sure you study BEFORE lab, because if you don't you will have no idea what is going on. Also, if you have questions don't be afraid to email her or go to her office. She is nice and always willing to help.
Toughest class I have taken at OU to date. I wish I would have taken this class by itself without adding the workload of everything else with it. It's a class that you need to stay on top of. It can be done, but you have to be willing to do it. People fail when they don't heed the advice given by others. STUDY. GO TO OPEN LAB. GO TO CLASS!!!!!!!!!!
I am a good student on scholarship and already accepted to nursing school, yet still didn't pass this class even though I spent SO much time studying. It is still doable for a lot of people, some just struggle more with memorization. Be prepared to work hard, a passing grade will not be handed to you. Cindy does make lectures very entertaining!
This was the most challenging class of my college career thus far but it was also my favorite. Cindy's class is very demanding but if you put the time in, it is doable! Live by previous students advice, it'll save your life! Dr. Gordon's action centers and office hours are an absolute must! DON'T SKIP LECTURE! You'll miss tons of vital information.
Great professor. Yes, the class is tough, but it is meant to be. Work hard in this class for your future patients. Live in dissection lab and breathe everything human anatomy. It was one of the best classes I have taken at OU so far and I'm a Junior. Go to all classes or else you will miss important details and possibly bonus. Good luck!
HANDS DOWN THE BEST PROFESSOR AT OU! She makes her morning lectures more than enjoyable, and shes absolutely hilarious. So approachable, but this is a heck of a hard class. It taught me a lot about myself and how to study. I walked into the final with an 89.4, i LIVED in open lab, I blew my grade on the final because man it is tough. Do not give up
By far the BEST professor I've had, & probably ever will. She knows exactly how to make everything make sense & really helps you if you reach out to her. DOs: Go to class (extra credit is given on random days & you need it!), every Action CenterOpen Lab HELPS SO MUCH, don't be afraid to ask a question! Don't: go out every weekend. STUDY HARD PPL!!
I suggest taking this class with easy classes so that you can focus all your time on this one - you'll need to if you want to pass. If you're a lazy student expecting to take her class, get ready for a wake up call. Cindy is an awesome teacher though, so make sure you use her to your advantage and schedule ahead of time with her because she's busy.
I did not have to take this course, but did because I was so interested in it. It is TOUGH and nobody hesitates to remind you. Do not sign up for this class if you cannot take it seriously. Prepare to have zero social life and no free time if you want an A. Cindy is awesome! Every student loves her and she does everything she can to help students!
She was an awesome teacher but she expected you to do your stuff. This isn't a entry level class, you are learning about the human body and she wants you to know everything you can about it. People say that it takes up all your time, and it does. It's not impossible because I worked full time and managed to get a B. Go to class and study EVERY DAY.
Although this was one of the hardest classes, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Cindy is wonderful! You'll hear it time & time again... GO TO OPEN LABS. It's essential for a good grade in the course & could mean a letter grade difference. Anatomy will try to be consume your life. Let it, because you won't have a choice. But enjoy it(: GoodLuck
I adore Cindy Gordon and respect her deeply. She knows so much about her field, and she will never hesitate to help you dig deeper into the material to understand things better. This was absolutely my favorite class of all time taught by my (now) favorite professor. Draw on white boards, always go to class, and make Cindy Gordon proud!
You MUST go to Open lab every chance you get. TAKE ADVANTAGE! As for lecture, i strongly recommend going to Action Center. She may be intimidating but she is always willing to help! I struggled in lecture exams but my lab grades were what saved me! Start studying early and be consistent! a little anatomy a day will keep the bad grades away! promise
One of the hardest classes I have ever taken. Dr. Gordon tries really hard to make the lectures relatable and she is hilarious. Be ready for an incredible amount of studying, if you don't study early and often you will fail. She is super cool, but she doesn't put up with shenanigans so come to class prepared and focused.
It's in your best interest to show up and be active in every lecture to understand everything. Required textbook readings often show up on tests, but she gives you several lists of specific things you need to know. She does bonus points on occasion, and uploads lots of online lectures. This is a seriously hard class, but she makes it almost fun.
Test are time consuming and kinda tricky. Make sure you do a lot of studying on your own. If you don't you won't pass. Seek her help every chance you get. She is easy to talk to but she makes you work really hard to get your grade.
Dr. Gordon is an absolutely wonderful professor. The class itself is extremely hard so she tends to get a bad reputation for being a bad professor but that is not the case. She does her absolute best to help any student that comes to her and will be there for you. You could not ask for a better professor for this course. Action center is necessary.
Hardest class I've ever taken. It will be your life, but you can do it. Gordon is an incredible professor. The best I've ever had. She's funny, smart, and helpful. Go to her office hours if you need help! She doesn't take attendance but you've GOT to go to class. She always makes her lectures interesting so it's not hard to endure early in the day.
Cindy Gordon is the coolest professor I will probably ever have had. She makes lectures funny so that material is memorable, and yes, it sucks that they're early in the morning, but she has to get up too. Don't be afraid of this class. If you put the work in and seek the help when you need it, she is truly on your side. And so are your lab TA's!
Cindy is an AMAZING professor and truly cares about her students! Her lectures are funny and easy to follow along. Highly recommend printing out the powerpoint slides given. GO TO ACTION CENTER! The worksheets are so helpful! Don't be afraid to go to her office hours, she doesn't bite. Tests are pretty straight forward, but are difficult.
The lectures are great and Cindy keeps them entertaining. The tests are hard, but are doable if you thoroughly study the lecture notes. Definitely one of the hardest classes I have taken. This class will consume your life for a semester, but if you stay on top of your work, go to open lab and action center, and study, you can get through it!
She makes it VERY clear if you have any reason you cannot dedicate basically your whole life to this course TAKE IT ANYWHERE ELSE. This is a HARD class I had to drop it because I didn't listen and failed the first round of tests, once I started spending everyday in the library my grade improved but still couldn't pass learn from my mistake
Literally the hardest class I have ever taken, but she makes the class bearable. GO TO OFFICE HOURS AND ACTION CENTER! Do not skip lecture, all of the test info basically comes from lecture. Pay attention, take good notes, use the resources she gives you and you'll make it!
Love Cindy Gordon, she is extremely smart and loves what she does. Her lectures are very interesting and she is really funny and has a good sense of humor, however, this is the hardest class I have ever taken. If you cant dedicate your whole life to this class, don't even bother starting it.
Cindy is by far the BEST professor I have ever had. Don't get me wrong, her class is ridiculously hard, but it is manageable. Go to action center, go to office hours, go to open lab hours!! She is so funny and made an 8:30 am class so enjoyable! You may hate the class while you are in it, but I promise you will miss it once it is over.
Cindy really cares about her students. Study for this class at least 5 days a week or you won't pass. Go to action center and open lab. This was a super fun class, and Cindy really loves beer.
Cindy is by far one of my fav professors. She makes anatomy SUPER enjoyable! She is a great lecturer . She doesn't waste your time teaching material that won't be on exams. Action center is EXTREMELY helpful!! She makes it her priority to make sure her students excel. Tough class but easy if you put forth effort you'll do great.
Anatomy is one of the hardest classes you'll ever take. Tons of memorization & study time. Cindy makes it fun in her lectures w/ her blunt but hilarious jokes. She has a big heart & is often misunderstood, not meant to be intimidating. Go to office hours & she'll help you so much because she wants you to love anatomy. LOVES her coffee & jellybeans
Anatomy with Cindy was probably one of the hardest classes Ive taken at OU thus far, but its also one of the best learning experiences Ive had. This class will make you study everyday but itll give you the opportunity to find the best study methods that work for you. You definitely have to invest all your time in the class to do well.
Cindy Gordon is the best professor/teacher/mentor I've ever had. Her class is the most interesting class I've ever taken while also being the hardest. Make sure you KNOW everything backwards and forwards and don't try to memorize. Also, if you take it in the spring Exam 3 is the day after spring break. GO TO OFFICE HOURS EVERY DAY AND ACTION CENTER
Cindy is one of the best professors I have taken! Her class is the hardest I've had at OU, but she genuinely wants you to learn the material and do well. She doesn't take attendance, but if you skip a class you will not be able to do well in the class. Do what she recommends for studying and you will do fine, if you don't she WILL call you out.
Cindy (DO NOT CALL HER MRS. GORDON) was the best professor I have had yet! Anatomy is a very tough class and you're going to have to work hard for it, but Cindy makes very clear her expectations and gives you the tools and resources to succeed. Definitely recommend going to Action Center and asking questions, they are so willing to help you.
Imagine Meredith from the office but also a genius that knows everything about the human body. She will make your life hell and have fun watching you suffer but she will also teach you so much valuable information.
Hardest class I've taken in my life but it's rewarding once you're done. Studying a little bit each day will make it a lot easier. Going to open lab is a must and finding a consistent group to study with is key. This class is going to make you work for a good grade but it is not impossible to do it. Don't focus too hard on lab and neglect lecture!
Acts supportive but really shes backhanded and rude. Very defensive when students point out flaws in her teaching. For example, unclear directions and tricky exam questions. If she wants people to succeed so badly, why is she so determined to make them suffer? Her actions speak far louder than her words. Pay attention to that. & I did well.
CINDY IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE TEACHER OF ALL TIME!!! Yes the class is tough but you get out of it what you put in. Everyone is there to help you! Also, don't be scared those first few weeks cause they will be ROUGH. But, if you can make it past the first 6 weeks than you got this! Also unit 2 is by far the hardest so study hard!
This class was singlehandedly the worst experience of my life, not necessarily due to Cindy but the overall aspect of it was hell. I genuinely believe this was very bad for my mental health. You are expected to know so much in so little time, as well as be around 8 cadavers for a total of 6 hours a week. Not worth it. Take it somewhere else.
Gordon is amazing and wants to help you if you are willing to put in the work! Graded by exams, practicals and in-lab quizzes so you won't be graded by a lot of assignments but there are very heavily weighted. As the only teacher for this course, your best bet is to learn her teaching style ASAP.
Only take this class if your other courses are super easy. Do not try to do this class with another difficult course or you will probably end up dropping one of them. Cindy has a very fun personality, but do not feel confident because of it. Her exams are very difficult because they make you second guess every question. Take this class with caution
test grades only. hardest class ive ever taken. she can teach well but there is just too much information to learn everything
Cindy is a great teacher but be aware that most of the learning comes from you watching the online lectures and studying the cadavers. This class is fast paced with a lot of information but it is manageable. Go to open lab as much as possible and actually try on the worksheets. Despite the rigor, this class has been my favorite so far!
She is an awesome professor who teaches one of those most challenging courses at OU. The material of human anatomy is not easy. Practicals, quizzes and lecture exams make up your entire grade, so be prepared to study! Also go to open lab! The key to doing well in this class is to take easy classes along with it. Put in the work and you will do well
The class is hard as hell, but Cindy makes it worthwhile. She's the best professor I've ever had, EVER! She is so smart, intelligent and really knows what she's talking about. If you're going into the medial field, this class will save your butt. It's hard, but the outcome is so worth it. Be willing to study!
This class is pretty hard, but I think Cindy is fair and straightforward with what she wants from you. Make sure you start studying her lecture notes after every lecture, and go to open lab as much as you can. As long as you manage your time well, getting an A is definitely possible. I didn't do that and it caught up with me in the end.
This is a very hard class, but it doesn't have to be, IF you are able to manage your time well. Anybody that complains about failing or dropping the class is simply not putting in enough effort. Anybody should be able to pass the class, but if you want to get an A, you HAVE to manage your time well with lab AND lecture.
Dr. Gordon was a wonderful professor and I really enjoyed her class. She always encouraged us and made us laugh when we were struggling towards the end of the semester. Take everything she says very seriously, she knows what she's talking about, and gives you the advice needed to pass. Go to action center, open lab and learn how to study early on!
This class is truly the hardest class I have ever taken in college so far. Between the open labs, Action Center and the independent studying, plan to spend most of your time with anatomy. Time management is a huge factor but, sometimes it was just too much information to take in.There is a reason why most of the exam averages where in the mid 60's.
This is not an easy class, but Cindy does everything in her power to help you succeed. Go to office hours, open lab, and action center EVERY opportunity, it makes a world of difference. Her lectures are funny and engaging but you need to put in the work after every lecture to get an A. Ask her for help!
This was the hardest class I have ever taken at OU, but Cindy is by far the best professor I have had during my college experience. Be prepared to work hard for your grade and begin studying early. People will tell you not to take anatomy at OU because of the difficulty, but a class preparing those entering the healthcare field should not be easy.
This has by far been the most challenging class I have taken at OU so far, but also the most rewarding! Dr. g truly makes you EARN your grade, which makes the class a great preparer for future schooling. Please go to open lab, do a little studying every day, and don't take this class with other hard classes!! You'll be fine & you'll love her!
Cindy's lectures are enjoyable! However, it's THE MOST time-consuming class. There's so much info you need to have memorized. As they say, good time-management, learning, and studying is the key to an A. But as someone who never went to AC and barely open lab because of my job, all-nighters (and attendance + very good notes) saved me. Good luck!!
This class is very intimidating at first, but it is so so rewarding! Cindy is so hilarious and supportive. This will be one the most time consuming classes you will ever take, but it is so worth it. The material isn't really hard, there is just a lot of it. Action center and open lab will be your best friends.
Material is difficult, but Cindy really cares and gives you opportunities to do well. She makes lecture interesting and entertaining. You have to study!
good teacher. prepare yourself for phys w bright
Cindy is nice upfront but I overheard her talk about a student to one of the other lab instructors and it really changed my perception of her. It was not nice.
Anat is one of the most difficult courses offered - but Dr.G makes it worth it. She is absolutely hilarious and relatable. Her lectures are like stand-up but with learning. She cares a lot, and she's a super real person. She's also always ready to help. This class is hard, so prepare to attend class and STUDY your heart out. LOTS of memorization.
This class is the hardest class at OU. Be prepared for lots of studying, no going out and no free time. If you listen to Cindy, you will pass. GO TO OPEN LAB AND ACTION CENTER.
This is one of the hardest classes at OU. It requires SO much time but you will learn so much. Cindy is a hard but amazing teacher and she truly wants you to do well. if you put in the work you will do well. go to every open lab and action center and stay on top of your work. the class is hard but it is manageable if you put in the work.
This class is by far the hardest class at OU. Half of the class drops out before the semester ends because it is so difficult. It is almost impossible to do well in this class if you have any other classes that require attention because this class will take up all of your time. Take anatomy elsewhere if you want to succeed
Amazing professor, only complaint is that there is barely any lecture grades, so if you screw up there is not much grade cushioning. Overall she did give off a bad first impression but overtime when you speak to her she is hilarious and also very straight forward with her students.
Cindy is probably the best professor you will get in terms of sciences here at OU. Her class is pretty difficult, but utilizing all of her resources (action center, office hours, open lab) makes the class SO much easier to understand. Prepare to study a lot, but she definitely will offer help if you actually take her up on it.
This is a very time-consuming class. If you want to succeed in this class, make sure to go to lecture!! Everything she says is ALL on the exam. Since lecture exams take up most of the class grade, I recommend going to her office hours and just asking her questions. She is an amazing professor but you need to be on your A game to pass this class.
Lock in from day one!! If you have a B or higher exam average you only have to take half the final. Saves you so much stress during finals week only having to study one unit. Cindy is funny and will make lecture bearable. Take good notes and know them inside & out for exams. Go to action center, those worksheets & activities help you understand!
Dr. Gordon is a funny and caring professor. Anatomy is just a hard class in general, however, Dr. Gordon makes it bearable. You have to lock in from Day 1 and study every day at least a little bit. You will need to balance studying for exams, practicals, and quizzes at the same time, however, this prepares you for future rigorous courses.
Cindy's lectures are informational and interesting, however her lecture exams are insanely difficult. Wording is changed slightly and easy to miss under the time crunch. Lab practicals are hard as well so going to open lab several times a week is a MUST. It's normalized for you to fail things constantly. 30%+ of people drop by the drop date.
Cindy is an amazing professor who WANTS you to succeed, however she does not make it easy. This course is graded by few things and attendance is not mandatory. But do not let the lack of assignments fool you, you have to study EVERY SINGLE DAY, go to open labs, action center, lectures and labs weekly if you even want a chance of a B or higher.
Dr Gordon is by far the best professor I have had. Her course is extremely hard and time consuming. Would not recommend taking another hard class with it. I took physics and anatomy together and i pretty much abandoned physics. do everything you can as far as studying daily and GO TO LECTURE! open lab every single day is key for practicals!
This class is VERY hard. Cindy is an amazing professor and she genuinely wants you to succeed in the class, you just have to put in the work. Do not get burned out, because it WILL catch up to you (it happened to me, and I didn't get the grade I wanted in the end). Study after every lecture, try to go to action center, and GO TO OPEN LAB
cindy is soooo passionate about anatomy! she wants you to succeed! get the ball rolling and study on the first day!!!!!! quizlet is your friend!!!!!!!! study study study study!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you won't have much of a life but this is important if you are pre health care! cindy is your friend not your enemy I promise :)
This class is insanely difficult. I went to her after Exam 2 for study tips and help and she spent the entire 30 mins chewing me out for not making outside of class time open labs and action centers. If making these things are so detrimental to passing, they need to be included in class time or credit hours. Exams and practicals were so difficult.
This class is HARD, but Cindy is the best professor I have ever had. She won't sugar-coat anything and is one of the most brutally honest people I have ever met, however, she will also put so much faith, and encouragement in her students. She was the wake-up call that I was needing. She is also SO engaging/ the most hilarious professors ever.
This class is VERY HARD. To study for practicals you MUST go to open lab, this is YOUR study time so if you don't go it's like you're not studying for practicals at all. To see if you know lecture I recommend you go to action centers. This class is very doable, I know because I started the school year with an F and ended up with a B. Good luck!
SIXXXX SEVENNNNNNNNNN
This class is very difficult and requires a crap ton of outside time. If you don't have a religion before starting this class, pick one and pray every night because it is very overwhelming. You will have no social life, family time, or time for work (Cindy mentions this like the first lecture) so be prepared. But best of luck:)
Dr. Gordon is the best. She loves what she does and it shows. Go to action center, open lab, and office hours. Her lecture exams were very challenging. For me, it was how she asked her questions which made them difficult. Study all day and everyday. You got it.
Cindy was a great professor overall, this was by far the hardest class I have taken here at OU. Most of your grade consists of practicals and lecture exams, so I recommend you go to open lab every day, attend action tutoring and study every single day. There is no busy work or padding to your grade, so study every exam like it's a final.
Gordon is awesome. People may say Anatomy is impossible to get an A but that is not true. If you really put in the work and time, it is totally doable. Her lectures are so interesting and she is very funny.
Meh. She takes the class way too seriously, is very nit-picky, and makes the class way harder than necessary. Do the worksheets before the test and actually studying the lecture videos before class will make the activities a lot more worth it. If you want a good grade you have to go to open lab.
GO TO OPEN LAB and ask a lot of questions. Professor Gordon is hardcore with very little room for error, but her class taught me how to truly study. Active recall is a must. Memorize lecture slides and take bone quizzes and practicals seriously. Hardest class I've taken, but also my favorite and the one I learned the most from.
