One of the nicest instructors. Mr.Moody isn't moody at all, and the fact that she's so organized and clear in her lectures with her practice exams makes her class a lot less challenging.

She is the best math teacher, if you want somone who is thorough and clear, take her! She has really good notes, but her tests are a little difficult, they are however straightforward, no tricks. and she's so friggin' hot!!!!! beotch!!!!
prepare to write lots of notes in class. Her test are made easy because she gives out a review that is similar to the test the day before. She is also nice because she allows you to make up a test if you missed it, just let her know before hand.
Ms. Moody is an incredible teacher. She gives LOTS of notes, she gives a practice test before, and she always has office hours. She's nice, writes nicely, is pretty, and is easily understandable. She has a great personality and is a real winner if you are taking her, she'll help you and cater the class to YOUR success!
Relatively okay class, nice teacher but a very monotonous voice that may put you to sleep. Goes through enough examples, but the tests arent exactly easy. If you know someone who took the class before you, her tests are pretty similar except a couple numbers changed up.
Ms. Moody is definitely not MOODY at all! Very nice teacher that's well organized and knows her math. Prepare to take A LOT of notes! I believe it was 4 exams and a finals (comprehensive) in her class. Not to worry cause she prepares you with practice test (similar to exam) before the real exam.
She's a sweetheart, hehe and loves cats, don't mess with her cats! She brought a great environment to the class, and didn't intimidate anyone. She reminded me of a sweet grandmother
She definately gives enough examples and notes to try to get you to understand the material. However, I've noticed that she plays favorites with her students. What's worse is that she plays into thier unrelated rantings in class. It is very distracting and annoying.
I hate algebra, but Cindy made it really fun. I had her once a week for 3 hours at night, and I was still able to stay focused. As long as you read the book (she teaches directly from it), turn in the homework then you should ace the exams. She has TONS of patience and gives tons of examples. She has a great personality, is fun and SUPER nice!
Cindy Moody is a great teacher!I didn't complete her class last semester, but I enjoyed being in her class. One WARNING though, she moves very quickly in class,so be prepared for that. My favorite thing about her is that she will go over any questions you have, and she's really nice!
She talks a lot in class and I always get confused because she rarely refreshes your memory... not recommended.. and she gives a lot of HW... plus practice tests varies from the actual test so no dam garranty that you will pass the class with an A unless your a smarty pants.
She is an alright teacher. Ms. Moody gives ALOT of examples and provides pratice tests that reflects actual questions that are going to be on the test. This is a plus because some teachers wont even give these practice test. You should be able to get at least a "B" in her class. So far Im recieving an "B" and my FC friend is getting a "C" Ah BAk
I think Ms. Moody was great. Lots of examples, and adjusted her pace to make sure the entire class was with her. When we caught on fast, she moved faster, when we struggled she slowed down. She also was very engaging and warm. I think she is the perfect teacher if you are struggling through math.
She was a nice and a great teacher and funny as well. The practice tests that she gave to us was helpful, and her lectures was loud and clear too.
What I like about Ms. Moody's class is that she is clear, and even if you don't understand the material, she will help you at her office hour. Be warned, she does move quickly. You're assigned one homework assignment everyday, so you have to make sure to be on top of your work. Great teacher!
SHE A VERY GOOD TEACHER THOUGH SHE TENDS TO GO FST WITH THE HARD STUFF AND SLOW AS HELL WITH THE DIFFICULT STUFF. SHE TENDS TO USE DRAMATIC WORDS TO EXPLAIN THE SUBJECT. EX: "AGAINST THE LAW" "CRUCIAL" AND MY FAVORITE " A FELONY". AS LONG AS YOU DO YOUR HW AND STUDY YOU SHOULD DO FINE. OH AND SHE ALLOWS NO QUESTIONS ON THE HW!!
I love Ms. Moody. We call her the "math mom" because she is so warm and kind. She goes over everything you need to know in order to pass the test. So don't be like me and miss too many days. However, if you do the homework (EVERY NIGHT-you can do it ), ask her questions during her office hours, and do the practice exams, you'll succeed. She's Awesome
Ms. Moody is a wonderful teacher. She makes sure that every students understand her class. She is very patient and helpful. I got an A in her class. You should take her! =)
What can I say Miss Moody is one of the best. If you are serious about math and commited I highly recommend her, she will prepare you for the next level. Her instructions are clear and concise, and if you are having trouble understanding anything, go visit her in her office - you will come out enlightened.
very good algerbra teacher!! she goes step by step in her examples and teaching so students understand. she does give homeowrk for every exam aobut every chapter. so it is sorta a lot of hw but it helps a lot 2 complete it. i would recommend pr. moody to all math 860 students
She is very nice. She goes through examples step by step. Very well organized. My only complaint would be that the semester I had her, she was absent ALOT. So towards the end she sped up coniderably fast, and I ended up failing when initially I was passing with an "A".
Good instructor, but misses class alot. Says she gives practice tests in class but because she gets behind from missing class so often, sometimes she skips it.
What I like about Ms. Moody is that she is clear in her teaching, and is available to help you out. She doesn't have rules regarding mandatory attendance, eating, or drinking in class. It's up to you to get that grade! Also, she says she doesn't want to answer any questions in class, but she doesn't observes that rule, and happily answers any ques.
Hands down one of the best teachers ever! She is dedicated and sweet, and is serious about math. She is also super approachable, and cares about each of her students. This combo ensures that if you meet her half way (ie do the HW) you'll do great!
She is a good teacher. Shows step by step. However, she misses class time to time due to some medical thing which makes her tend to rush near the end. She gives practice tests day(s) before the test which will help you. Highly recommended to do ALL HOMEWORK! When it comes to the final, make sure you try to keep up since she rushes like crazy!
She is the best Math teacher ever!!!she teaches step-by-step which make the materials really easy to understand...and she gives out practice tests before every test which really help during the actual test comes. I used to hate math so much but she makes math painless for me!! You will do fine as long as you take note in her class.
Great professor. Never gets upset and is always smiling. She's always prepared and more than willing to help. She misses class here and there, but that's fine with me. You'll not regret taking Ms. Moody's class.
Ms. Moody is a very nice person, but her class is no cake walk at all. A majority of my class ended up dropping as her test are very difficult. She requires homework to be completed. She will go into detail on to how to complete a problem during lecture but even with her practice test she gives the test are hard.
I took Math 860 this semester. She is a very nice and helpful professor! I feel luck to be her student and hope I will be luck enough to be her student again in the near future. I also miss her sweat voice.
I am in calculus now because of her,so is the other 5 of us that had her together some years ago. I have yet to meet a more competent and caring teacher. But plan on doing 3 hours of homework a night, and her practice test are almost exactly like the tests, just do them over and over till you can do it in your sleep.
GREAT MATH TEACHER! She is so clear & easy to understand in her lectures it's amazing. She writes out what she's explaining & projects it onto a screen making it really easy to take notes. If you're a slow note taker, she'll let you copy hers. Practice tests are very helpful! She's out sick a bit for health issues, but worth the wait!
she is nice, but her illness makes it very hard to learn in her class. She tends to rush things when she sick. we have a test per 2 chapters making it that much hard to ace her class. If you don't finish your hw by the time the test come don't expect her to pass you. The test are hard if you don't know what you are doing
Ms Moody is awesome. She's quirky enough to keep you entertained, but not spacey or weird like some teachers. She does expect you to do the homework, but if you want to take higher math classes later you'll need to anyway. Ms. Moody makes it all crystal clear in class and is still available to help you outside of class. Best math teacher EVER.
I took her for Math 860 and figured I didn't really need to attend her class because I knew basic algebra. I stopped attending class and ended up receiving a D. I ended up retaking 860 and passed. Ms. Moody is a very helpful teacher, I wish I took advantage of her expertise in math.
I took her in the spring. and i was like failing the class until because i dint do the hw. When i started to do hw for her class i got more than 100 on the 3rd test it helped me pass the class. She is extremely clear on the material shes teaching. Her illness does make her rush, but its worth the wait since you have time to absorb the other materia
shes will take the time to answer a student question if thye dont understand the problem. her voice is a little annoying, but bearable. she cancles class at least twice (w/o prior notice) a month cause she gets sick. lectures everyday, hw is collected on test day (1-3 chapters per test)i got a B and only did half the hw but scored good on tests
good teacher, when you don't get something and ask her, she'll answer your question. But i didn't do great in her class because you turn in hw on the test day ,( i was lazy didn't do hw till the last minute). i think if you do the hw reg, you will do good on the test! she misses class likeonce every two weeks because of she has some health problem
She's a good teacher, her lectures explain everything in great detail, but her tests are HARD. She combines concepts and don't take the homework too literally because it's very little like the tests (esp for geometry).
Don't take 90 in the fall because you get egotistic people who were placed in the class who think they're awesome cos it's advanced algebra when it's remedial math. She's a classical math teacher, so she's picky with her tests.
Ms. Moody is probably the best math teacher I've ever had. Her lectures are crystal clear and as long as you do the homework you should be guaranteed a good grade. She gives practice tests before each exam to prepare you and offered my class two extra credit opportunities. Take her!
Awful teacher! One of those teachers who's tenured and thinks she can treat students any way she wants to. Picked on me in class. It's 2011 in the math world not 1965.
if u dont mind having a teacher that all she does is seat and write write and write non stop and who never has office hours to help her students this teacher is perfect for you. i like to learn and for teachers to care.
Not the best teacher, if u want learn take ms.wong or mr. bass. oh, and this teacher is absent at least once a week! ugh.
still hate math, but Ms Moody made it easier to get through it with her lectures. Do all the homework (you get added credit) and attend all the classes. She's clear and concise, she works with you if you put in the effort, and the extra credit she gives for using the assigned tutors also helps. The tutor, Josh was awesome
I just took her Math 860 class and got an A. She is a great teacher - very thorough in her lectures. Grades are based on 4 exams (60%), homework (10%), and the final (30%). It is not an easy class, but if you show up regularly, do the homework, and utilize your greatest ally (the practice exams)- she grades fairly. I would recommend her!
I took Advanced Algebra with her and it was the best math class I've had. I don't like math, but she taught the material at a nice pace and was good at building on pervious lessons. I would often go to her office after class to ask questions, and she was always happy to help me.
You learn by coming to class & doing the hw. Problems on the notes will be on the practice test & the practice test is pretty much the same as the actual test. She explains everything clearly for you to understand. She misses class often due to health problems & not strict on attendance. She's very nice & one of the best math teachers to take!
Recommended, but understand you will need to invest a lot of time/effort into this class. Less then half of the students made it all the way through, drops, fails... from day one you need to be focused on doing you best, in order to make it.
Class is very well organized a few missed days will mess u up. She is absent a lot which is nice. Lot of time needs to be put into the class in order to pass.
She's a really cool teacher.Grades fairly, and is a nice person. It's been a while since I took this class, but I remember her being focused and getting to the lessons.I wish I would of gotten a tutor, not because the teacher was difficult, but because the subject can get tough.Higly recommend this teacher!
Very nice teacher and just as long as you show up and do the work you will pass.
Ms. Moody is super-clear. There is no way you can say she didn't explain something. She wants you to succeed. She has a very soothing voice. Homework is mandatory for success as is attendence.
I took this class with her a long time ago.I really like her. She's nice and very clear, which is something that's important to me.At the time,I wish I would of hired a tutor to get more out of the class, but I highly recommend Ms. Moody!
She is nice and very clear because she goes slow. Be extremely cautious of this because her slow teachings paired with her absences will make you fall behind. The class I took ended up cramming 1 Chpt in 1 week at the very end of the semester. We had our last exam the very last week when Finals had started and then had a final 4 days later!
I took her for summer class. she is very clear and class is all lecture. She gives a lot of homework, but it really helps you understand the topic. She gives practice test a day before the test, and they really help you a lot. Her class is not really that easy, mostly because I am bad at math, but with all the hw and lecture, I understood everythin
She's very clear in all her lectures. There's no way you can't understand what she's teaching. Her test is a bit hard. Her first test was the hardest to me. The rest were pretty easy provided you study with the study guide that she gives you a week before test. She's absent a lot and goes fast at the end of semester. Her final is pretty hard too.
She is a great teacher. Very clear and patient. However she is STRICT with texts. She doesn't drop any tests or grade on a curve. She does offer extra credit, and is always available and helpful if you have a question. She does miss some classes because of her illness which makes her rush through things and we fall behind sometimes.
Very clear with lecture explanations. If you have time need a little help understanding the course material, feel free to talk to her after class or during office hours.
Her lectures are very clear, and I understood Geometry for the first time in my life. I agree w/ others that if you fall behind to go to her office hours or ask questions in class. Her tests can be tricky, but there isn't anything on there that she hasn't covered in class or homework. She is absent quite a bit, but she is accommodating.
Great teacher. Gives practice test nearly identical to the actual one online day before actual test. Enough said.
Prof Moody is good in explaining her stuffs. But the only thing negative in this class is HOMEWORK!homework and attendance is mandatory.she gives a lot of homework!there's about 90 hw questions per week.and each question takes about 10 mins to answer even if you know the material because she wants complete solutiongood prof but u need a LOT of time

she is a great teacher. she is clear in her teaching and I going to take another class with her
I took the summer section and she kept saying it should be a longer course and how doomed we are. She is nice and fairly helpful but after too many questions she'd get exasperated and look at me like I'm hopeless. Her teaching is more 'by the book' than I prefer.
She is extremely thorough in her treatment of the subject material. She is very easy to talk to and handles issues quite fairly
Professor Moody is extremely thorough in her treatment of the subject matter. She is very easy to talk to and very fair when dealing with issues. I recommend her highly to any student looking for an extremely clear concise instructor.
She was late coming to class for the first to weeks, and canceled about 10 or more days of class because she didn't show up, but she will post pone a test because of those reasons, and your home work will be collected on the day of the test, and there are only four test in a semester including the final test.
Moody is amazing. Really loves teaching. Although you get lots of HW, this will help you get an A for sure. The tests are base it. She's one of the bests teachers at CCSF. Even when she misses classes, she manages to cover everything you need for the next math class. Would def recommend her :)
Took her about two semesters ago for Math 60. She was okay but sometimes would be confusing. I felt like she gave too much homework and wasn't too helpful with her examples because she went by the book. You have to work hard to pass her class.
Professor Moody is a nice person and very easy to approach. However she misses a lot of classes therefore the class gets behind on chapters before the semester is over. She assigns a lot of homework about 40 problems and more for a chapter. One of her math 60 classes comes with an available math tutor at ccsf in the LSN.
Her class is confusing. She give us a practice test and it is nothing like the real test. The topics are totally different. The way she teaches is boring and confusing. Only take this class if you are already good at math and can pass this class. If you want to learn something new don't take this class.
Really well explained about all chapters .
She gives a lot of homeworks, however, if you listen on her lectures, you will definitely find homeworks and quizzes so easy.
Took Cindy over summer and was a pretty straight forward class. She does an excellent job at explaining the material and assigns homework on every section. She will give a practice test a few days before the test and its literally the same problems that will be on test. As long as you do the homework its an easy A. Take her!
If you are good with math, you'll find her lectures extremely slow and unnecessarily detailed, however, if you struggle with math and need multiple examples with slow step-by-step explanations-she's the professor for you! She misses a lot of classes, without prior notice. A lot of homework but if you actually do it all, you'll find the exams easy.
Took Moody for MATH 60 and gonna take her again for MATH 90, she shows really good examples and good notes, a lot of homework but they're really good practice for tests etc. and she also gives you a wonderful study guide before the test. and plus she has a super cute Husky with her named Ruby.
She is a very sweet woman and a great teacher! she makes it easy to learn and answers questions thoroughly. I had a hard time paying attention because she goes through problems very slowly and I am a fast paced learner. If you are having a hard time understanding math and need someone to walk you through all the steps, this is the perfect teacher.
Her Pre-calculus class was fairly easy, if you've taken trig then you'll soon realize that most of the semester is review. She wasn't able to teach very much of the newer pre-calc material due to her missing class or taking too long on explaining lessons. Her study guides are key to doing well on her tests.
I took her during the summer, and she gives tons of homework! I took the class just for review, but even so, the work she writes is super in depth! She writes Every Single Step on the board. Since I already know the material, I felt that the class went by even slower. Choose her if you struggle in math, because she will really help with that.
I personally don't like the way she grades. I think she should be a little bit more human to night students, (specially those one that are not interested in pursuing a Phd in math). I however enjoyed her, she is fair and lets face it. She is a good instructor. I would take her class again and I would also recommend her. She needs to be more human.
I already knew most of the material before I entered the class, I was placed there by the placement test. I didn't struggle until the end when she taught the material different than I had learned it before. Just attend class, sit in the front, listen, and ask questions. She brought her dog to like every class too, but don't let her distract you!
Explains everything somewhat slowly, but is very clear. Open to questions. Tests are easy as long as you pay attention in class and do the homework.
She explains things very well and also very lenient when it comes to test. Too bad she is retiring.
