Reading the book or studying the slides will be enough to get pass the tests. Sometimes lectures are boring but she's a really nice professor who tries to make it interesting. Kudos to her for trying to give the class at least that much. Not very hard to get an A.

This teacher is really awesome. She requires class participation and attendance. This class also has an extensive about of papers. But other then that i found this class to be really enjoyable and suggested people to take it with Cindy Parker.

Motivating, easy to understand, very helpful, easy to approach, kind, and very organized... this professor really cares about her students and how well they do. There is a lot of paperwork, but it is all relevant to the course and will help the student to understand the subject matter more easily. Take this professor if you can!!!

I found mgmt 312 less interesting than 321. I guess 321 was more practical and applicable. But the professor was always organized, even though there was a lot of paper work you have to go through but she was great overall.

Great Professor! Very organized. Very clear. Incredibly nice. No tricky questions. One SMALL paper. Grades tests immediately after class and posts them the same day! Not difficult material at all, just listen, read, prepare and study.

I took her for 312 and 321. She is the best professor at GMU. She is organized, helpful, and a very enthusastic. Her tests are good. slides are very detailed. Weekly assessments are given, which are usually 3 questions 5 pts. total. 2 lowest quiz grades dropped. Use her study guides for exam. It will help alot.

MGMT 321/312. She is awesome! The 3 hour lectures could be a killer with any other professor but she makes every effort to keep you in a good mood/has an upbeat attitude. always helpful/always accessible. Also, when I took my test, by the time i got home, grade was always posted! my desc professor takes 10 weeks to give 1 hw back, so shes FAST!!

This class was a breeze. Prof Parker is friendly and knows what she's talking about. I never touched the book because everything is explained in class and in the slides. The case analysis is also very straightforward and graded easily. I made it out with a strong A and put in minimal effort. You actually learn something fro mthsi class, too.

I had her for HR and the MGMT class, I think she's great. She really cares and her lectures are very interesting. Im pretty shy and liked that fact that I did not have to speak up in class to earn participation points; I HIGHLY recommend her!!!!

Dr. Parker is easily one of the nicest and down to earth professors you'll come across. She goes out of her way if you ask for help. She's certainly has the knowledge and explanation skill to teach an HR class.

She is a great professor. Her exams are pretty easy, just do the study guide. 2 fairly easy papers, just go to class for the quizzes and use the book to do the study guide. This class was Cake.

Definitely take her for Management 312 and/or 321. She's seriously AWESOME. Her powerpoints make the material very easy to learn. Don't bother buying any books. Has essay exams broken down in multiple parts to make it really easy. Assessments and discussion questions in both classes as well, also easy. On top of all that she's not bad lookin. ;)

HR is dry material, but she finds a way to make lecture interesting. She really cares about her students & will clarify any questions you have immediately. She is extremely organized, treats students with respect, & is a fair grader. 4 years at GMU & she has been my BEST PROFESSOR!

Prof. Parker makes the class interesting. She knows the material is rather dry, but she makes it easy to learn and stay with you. About halfway through the semester I stopped reading the chapters as she was so thorough. Just print her slides and take notes and you'll be fine. Tests are challenging but not killers. Same with papers. Good professor.

My second time with Parker - she's still the best professor at GMU. This class comprised of case studies, exercises in class, and the occasional lecture. Final is pretty hard, but if you pay attention all semester and attend each class you will be fine. Parker is always helpful and you can tell she cares about her students.

Awesome professor. Really relevant experience and cares about her students. Class consists of case studies, pop quizzes, two short papers and exams. Teaches the concepts relevant to the exams and even has study sessions beforehand. Is more than willing to provide any guidance necessary to help you succeed. Make sure you show up to class on time!

Dr. Parker is good, she tries to be perfect. Her class is interesting, 3 exams- half essay, half mc. Final sucks. 2 papers about 3-4 pgs. This class is not that hard but exams are a liitle confusing. Do not get the book b/c you don't need it at all, she is good explaining the material.

Can't stand HR, but I've taken it with both Profs and I prefer Professor Parker. Even though she is a harder grader it's a more worthwhile class overall. She's a cool teacher, very fair, and easy to get along with. She has a lot of great experience to share and encourages discussions for an ultimately good class experience.

Great Teacher, There is 3 exams ( 140 total) and 2 HR paper ( 40 total) and 25 points for quizzes and 2 lowest will be dropped. This class can be an easy A if you take notes, study. Everything is very clear. I loved her teaching, though grader on the papers. Great Teacher!

She is an outstanding professor and you will learn alot from her. She explains the concepts so well you don't need to buy the textbook. Just attend her lectures and take good notes on everything she says and that will help you on the exam. Although attendance is not mandatory, she gives in class assessments. very knowledgeable and experienced.

Dr. Parker is the best management professor at Mason. She has the rare ability to teach while making the class fun and keeping it interesting. If you go to class and do the study guides for the exams it is very straightfoward and you should walk out with an A for both 321 and 421! I would highly recommend.

Easily my favorite Professor at Mason. She genuinely cares for her students and wants all to do well. If you put in the effort, you will do well in her class. Not as much reading in 421. Only about 3-4 chapters worth. The rest of the work is done in class. The assignments are interesting and peaked my interest in HR. I would recommend this class.

To my surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed her class. HR was the last subject that I wanted to take at Mason, but I'm glad I did. So much so, I'm taking her MGMT421 class this semester. I look forward to another semester of class participation and focus on learning useful information for the real world.

SUPER NICE LADY!! Easy grader. was shocked when I received a 100 on the HR paper. Exams are not very difficult she provides a study guide... just read over the slides. Dont really need to go to class except to take 5/7 "assessments" (easy)

I wasn't surprised that I enjoyed her 421 class(I enjoyed her 321 class). HR was the last subject that I wanted to take at Mason, but I'm glad I did.421 is a little less flexible, but still enjoyed it.If you like case studies and talking about them,you will love 421. I enjoyed it more than 321.If you ever plan on managing employees,take this class.

Dr. Parker is the best professor I had at Mason. Attendance is not mandatory, but you are graded on participation. Pay attention and study the slides and you will do great. Great professor. She sincerely cares about student's learning and success. Attendance and particapation are both graded. I am introverted at heart, however, I didn't have a problem speaking in her class - really made me comfortable with public speaking and I learned a lifelong skill. Lots of group work, case studies, and one final.

I loved her. She really tries to make HR interesting and jokes about topics that are dry. 5 in class write-ups but they are easy if you read the assigned material. Follow the given study guide for exams using the slides and you are set. The main paper was not difficult at all.

We need more professors like Professor Parker. She takes a genuine interest in teaching and wants every student in the class to succeed. She is a subject matter expert in Human Resources. I took MGMT 321 and 421 with Dr. Parker. She is extremely knowledgeable of the material. Her PPT are very clear, explains every concept in class, and always available. She also provides a very detailed feedback for every assignment. Study guides are posted 1-2 weeks before the exam. One of the best professors I had at George Mason.

Dr. Parker is an amazing professor that deeply cares about her students. She has a warm, inviting personality and is very approachable. There are 3 exams, 7 in-class assessments (essentially pop-quizzes, top 5 of the 7 count toward course grade), one paper, and a mock interview via webcam. I really enjoyed her MGMT 321 (Intro. to HR Class).

Dr. Parker is so nice and really wants all her students to do well. Her lectures are also very interesting. There's no tricks or anything particularly difficult about her class. Just attend class, study, and you'll get an A. (Bonus: she posts HR opportunities on BB, and that's how I got my internship!)

Took both MGMT 321 and 421. I said this class was an easy A, however, that means going to class, participating, and doing all the HW. Dr. Parker genuinely cares about her students, which you don't find in all professors these days. She is always willing to help and offer advice in any way she can- she wants you to succeed. Dr. Parker is fair, wants to help you succeed. Go to class, pay attention. Extra credit is offered. This class is fun and interesting, I took Employment Law before this class and that helped me, even if you took it at the same time it is beneficial. If she taught more classes besides this one and Advanced HR, I would definitely take her again.

Great Professor overall. Just beware that if you do not participate in class, you will have a hard time passing this class because, there are pop quizzes and she talk about stuff that comes out at test during class. She gives an exam guide for every test and is willing to help students to fill in the blanks. Excellent teacher learned about HR a lot

You have to put effort to obtain the grades you want. Dr. Parker gives you everything you need and genuinely cares for her students to do well. Just show up and participate each class and should have no issue. There are hw and group work so it is essential to have a good group as well.

Great professor, very caring towards her students. Her exam study guide on the other hand wasn't much help, most of her slides consist of points which she goes over in class so her exam study guide/power point slides provide little to non information, just the topics you need to know.

One of the BEST professors I've had at GMU so far honestly. She truly wants her students to succeed. She's always there to give you feedback if you ask for help. There are 7 assessments but she drops the lowest 2. Three tests but its not cumulative. Also, there is a paper (which is 2 pages) and and online interview. I would take her again. <3

I've taken Professor Parker twice now, and she is one of the most solid professors at GMU. Good balance of group and individual projects, doesn't waste your time with boring powerpoint presentations (in MGMT421) and really cares about her students. It's not the easiest A to earn, but you'll learn a lot.

Professor Parker, she is the nicest professor every! she gives you extra points if she determine you work hard enough. Her exams were easy and her lectures were straightup forward. She's very nice take her.

MGMT 421 was hard. however, I demonstrated to her that I did tried hard to pass and with efforts not slacking. I failed the final badly... she kindly curved my points so I get a passing grade. SHE IS SUCH A SWEETHEART.

Professor Parker goes over the lectures pretty well, she explains the materials, making sure that everyone understands. Shell answer questions whenever it is needed. Her exams are good as long as you know the materials, theyre short answers and MC. There was one paper and one interview assignment you had to do.

Her lecture are very helpful and she actually teaches us. If you just watch all the lectures before the exam, you'll get an A.

Only 1 final. A few easy projects. She will basically give you the answers during class, so participate!

Professor Parker makes this class interactive and pretty easy to pass. You have two hard exams, but as long as you do the other classwork, you can pass with a great grade without needing to do well on them. She is kind and very understanding. She replies to emails quickly and loves to teach. The weekly modules are easy. Highly recommend.

One midterm and noncumulative final (lockdown browser) with weekly quizzes embedded into video lectures. Weekly discussion boards or short free-response questions. I did not need the textbook. Exams have MC and short answers but she gives you the topics for SA to study. Very straightforward easy class. Take with MGMT 313, they are similar.

This was a straightforward online class. The syllabus is your best friend, follow it to the tooth. She sends out weekly emails that really help in organizing the week. Do well on all the quizzes within the lectures, participate in the discussion board and do the reflect response assignments and you will get a good grade. It wasn't easy nor hard.

great professor to take online or in person. overall grades are comprised mainly of 2 exams and weekly discussion board participation with some other small assignments. If you watch the lectures and take diligent notes you should have no issue passing the course

Please take her for any HR class. She is simply an amazing professor and someone very pleasant to talk to. 421 students, that class will focus more on activities rather than lectures and sometimes guest speakers will come in. Overall, would highly recommend her.

She gives out study guides now, but it is so vague it is almost useless. She is great at her job but her tests are very tricky and she is unapologetic about it. She will give good feedback and is an easy grader for assignments, but the tests are brutal.

She is very caring about her students. Requires HonorLock for exams. Homework and weekly quizzes are easy. I just reviewed a little bit before each exam and did good in the class. 100% recommend.

Professor Parker has high expectations, but her class is manageable with some effort. The lectures are informative, and the assignments are reasonable. I found Unstuck ai really helpful for preparing for the tricky exams. Overall, a solid course if you're willing to put in the work.

Prof. Parker and her course by far my fav class esp because of the valued management content. Learned a lot. She cares about her students success and sends many opportunities for scholarships, events and also provides advising. Course is weekly lecture quizzes, pay attention and you'll get them right. DB's and reflect/respond assignments.

I loved having her as a professor! She clearly explains material and connects it to real-world applications. Lectures are engaging for the full two hours. She also shares HR and Human Capital events and brings in guest speakers. Highly recommend if you enjoy learning and research!

Professor Parker is amazing! Her class is so manageable and the assignments consist of weekly embedded question lecture quizzes, and discussions. Midterm and final, but they are not weighted heavily. Extra credit every week if you submit your weekly assignments on time. She always leaves feedback on all assignments and is very personal. 10/10
